Body Tender

I am not the biggest fan of chypre fragrances. I inherited a bottle of Burberry Body and a sample of Body tender and thought, maybe I could expand on my fragrance preferences. Unfortunately I don’t really like the wormwood/absinthe in the opening. I find it herbal and bitter but it goes away quickly. In the mid I pick up on the peach, apple, tea, florals, and some musk. I do not smell amber or vanilla. It dries down to a sugary sweet skin scent. I thought the dry down smelled like Clean Reserve's Sparking Sugar. I wore them on different arms to compare, and I was surprised how strong Sparking Sugar was. Body tender is very soft, much softer than what I prefer. This is a “you smell good” instead of a “your perfume smells good” scent. I can appreciate it and understand why someone might love or prefer this type of scent profile but it’s not for me. 5/10.

repurchased since my teen years. a loft softer than what i would usually go for, but very nice. a nice rose blend. very wearable and universal. inoffensive. elegant.

it smells like a watered down victoria's secret bombshell. I much prefer the original edp.

My luggage was delayed, so I bought a flacon of this at a special offers counter at duty-free, without even testing it - just as something cheap and easy to wear until my good stuff arrived. Anyway, this is not the type of fragrance I would normally wear, because it is too sweet and fruity for my liking. Somehow my skin always amplifies those synthetic fruity notes, and instead of rose as the dominant note, I end up smelling apple juice or whatever. It's not bad, it's just not for me. I guess it is aimed at younger girls. Projection and longevity are great, making this scent good value for money.

Contemporary Chypre Tea-Rose... This Chypre Fruity beauty signed by Michel Almairac opens with wormwood, citrus & fruits but already the tea rose is swelling through. Wormwood here is helping to strike the chypre accord. This is a modern take on the tea-rose, and there are some similarities to modern roses like Chloe EDP Chloe, Tabu Rose Dana & Delina Parfums de Marly (although this doesn't have the tropical & rhubarb facets). As it's drying down it gets sweeter with tea & sandalwood that read like tea with honey. There's also a shampoo vibe in the background. This is similar to Body EDP & Body EDT, but a bit more pink with rose slightly more forward than the EDT, and less peach than the EDP. Michel Almairac also composed Chloe EDP Chloe and you can catch the similarities. I just have a sample miniature, but this is full bottle worthy although it can be hard to find. It's a love for me. A beautiful, soft, tender gorgeous fragrance that's long lasting, versatile and budget friendly-ish. I loved wearing it and finished the bottle very quickly!

The Chanel "Chance" (Eau Tendre) of Burberry. She's soft, pretty, and reserved. You might want to seek out older bottles, bc just like most of Burberry's hits, the formula has diluted over time...

It’s a mid-morning walk in an English garden in London, it’s sunny and fresh, you grabbed a Granny Smith before leaving in case you get hungry before lunch, and while you bit into it, the juice is running through your arm… Suddenly a little wind is blowing and the garden-fresh smell of wormwood envelops you. You lick your arm and keep walking. You notice a stand with fresh fruits for sale, you seemed hungry anyways so grabbed a few peaches and lemons for tea time later. As you keep strolling around the park, you turn into an alley with dewy roses and jasmines… Later that night, you remove your cashmere sweater after noticing some apple’s juice stains ruined it a little, and give it a sniff and smell hints of the dewy wormwood and flowers on it… _____ Projection, sillage, longevity : 7/10 Originality, presentation, versatility : 8.5/10 Quality, value : 8.5/10 8/10

This smells really nice. It's fresh, soft and not too sweet. Sadly the performance is really bad. Even when ridiculously over-sprayed it lasts maybe and hour. This is essentially an expensive body spray.

It’s a nice fresh scent, bit fruity and green. Good for every day use or to freshen up with throughout the day.

Perfect keep in your bag fragrance to freshen up with. Also perfect at home, fresh scent. It’s fruity, very musky, tart but still sweet enough. A sour rose. Doesn’t last long but really glad a free sample was added with my order. Would’ve never tried this at all.

This is very fresh spicy and green scent. It smells like a fresh cut rose and other flowers in florist. I like it so much, it is not so strong, more close to the skin scent. Can be blind buy, if you like this kind of scents. I prefer it for spring.

This reminds me a lot of Loveswept. It’s kinda breezy sweet like that but there’s a kick to it from the wormwood that keeps your interest. Where Loveswept is a more tropical wind this one carries more of a tart apple/young rose air. It’s a bit “berry shampoo-ish” for my liking and I kinda almost put it in the same category as SP’s Lovely: but I don’t think it gets anywhere near as screechy as I find Lovely. It’s really nice- just not for me. But everything about the way it is done is really beautiful. It’s definitely a high soprano= a very tight pink rose, the apple is tart and sweet. Definitely great if you like shampoo scents; that’s not entirely my favorite genre & I didn’t catch enough of the base notes for it to be one I’d consider keeping- but if you’re into shampoo scents this one does it really well!

Too sour for my liking :(. I really wanted to love this as I like the original Burberry Body but that is too much for everyday use. I was hoping this flanker to be a lighter/rosy version of the original but sadly it is loud/sour and stays that way for a long time. The only saving grace is its dry down, lovely vanilla/musk smell but after a long time (6-8 hours at least) and that too is a faint skin scent. Unusable, at-least for me, I am afraid

this smells like bvlgari man wood neroli, which is a men's cologne LOL, maybe it's just me. it smells nice, just not that feminine to me? it's green, a bit bitter or sour. i do smell the peach during initial spray, so that's nice. but when it dries down, it's when i smell the bitterness/muskiness. a powdery vanilla does come out more in the drydown, which maybe makes a bit softer/more feminine. it's a nice refreshing sophisticated demure scent, stays close to the body, probs ppl will only smell you if they hug you.

Just for the sake of comparing Burberry Body to Burberry Body Tender, I think it is important to look at the differences in the two because they are similar in some ways, but different in other ways. Burberry Body has the bright, sharp green bubble gum type notes which have a super upbeat type vibe. This is great when you are needing your perfume to project energy and enthusiasm -- this is almost like a jolt of caffeine, something to give you a jump start to your day, refreshing, vibrant, up-lifting. As Burberry Body wears on the skin, it moves into a really nice relaxing type dry down. The ingredients are slightly different in Burberry Body - and Burberry Body Tender... Here are their shared ingredients which give the perfumes a common DNA smell: Wormwood Peach Rose Sandalwood Musk Cashmere Wood Amber Vanilla Burberry Body has the two notes Freezia and Iris added. Burberry Body Tender has the notes of Apple, Lemon, Tea, Jasmine added. Burberry Body Tender goes on very similar to how Burberry Body smells during its dry-down phase... when it relaxes more. Before realizing that they really do have different ingredients that make them smell unique, I would have assumed that they both carry the same basic Burberry Body DNA - and only differ slightly. But trying them on side by side, they both have unique smells which make them their own. There are times when you want a more calm, relaxing, low-key type perfume which is more of a sensual perfume. Burberry Body Tender is like Burberry Body with a glass of merlot wine, something that just takes the edge off. This is more romantic -- and yes, I think they chose the right word to express this... this is More TENDER. The only differences in the two bottles is the lettering of "Tender" to identify that beyond the original. Burberry Body and Burberry Body Tender share the same chord with similar notes, but the expression of mood is different. If you like one, most probably - you'll like the other. Burberry Body's silage and projection are about double of that of Tender, it has brighter notes that make up the chord. If Burberry Body calls attention to itself, Burberry Body Tender is a bit more shy, reserved, soft spoken - and whispers rather than shouts. Burberry Body Tender is like the soft focus watercolor or Monet painting type perfume, no harsh edges... Burberry Body Tender would be a good perfume to wear for nights watching Netflix on the couch with your significant other, a date night, or even to spritz before going to bed... you will probably even have more romantic dreams with this. Actually Burberry Body Tender would be a great signature perfume for the right woman. Both Burberry Body and Burberry Body Tender could be a signature perfume - using each perfume to reflect the mood that you are in at the time you spritz them. Burberry Body Tender is in the same type perfume genre as Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely (the original) and Avon's Prima.

For any Canadians interested in this I just purchased it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $19.99 on their discounted perfume endcap display! I have the original which I used to enjoy as it reminded me of a vacation in a bottle minus the bad sunscreen smell. My original bottle is maybe 10 years old and smelling less than fresh so I thought I would give this version a go. The beginning few minutes smelled similar but maybe more wormwood? I am no expert but in the notes that is one of the first listed that I don’t know the smell of. It’s now been 30 minutes and it is reminding me more of the original. I only sprayed my wrists that usually devour perfume as I was already wearing Poison Girl and had no desire to mix the two! Overall I’m very pleased with my bargain and may update my review once I have worn it for a day. My boyfriend never really liked the original so if he doesn’t comment on this version I will consider that a success!

To me this smells like a womans natural sexy musky skin. You know she's a hot , sexy biotch! You wouldn't think oh her perfume smells good , you'd think Holy f**k she smells good. I'd say this is signature scent worthy .

This is just another light fruity floral in a sea of light fruity florals out there. Doesn't make me think of the original Body except for the shared artemisia note, but here it is lighter. This reminds me more of Karl Lagerfeld for her than the original Body. Unlike either KL or Body, this has a generic smell, maybe because this fruity floral genre has been so overdone already, or cheaper quality ingredients used? IDK, whatever it is, I am not crazy about this at all. Testing done from a sample. I'll stick to original Body since I have no issue wearing that year-round.

Realistic rose opening that settles into a nice musky amber. Quite generic but smells nice. Projection and longevity is poor. This is a safe blind buy unless you really hate rose.

Sensual and beautiful fragrance but difficult to find.

I have never come across Burberry Body Tendre until today and it was a good price and its such a pretty bottle, I decided to take a chance on a blind buy. I was already wearing Pleats Please L'eau and Tendre seemed to be very similar and since Im interested in a nice rose atm, it seemed to be a good choice. I've since doused myself in BB Tendre and its a very very earthy rose -(compared to my much loved Pleats Please which is airy and watery). Im enjoying the difference very much. Tendre smells like walking in a real garden with the aroma of rose flower, stem, leaves and earth mixed together after a light rain. Quite heavy but the actual edt strength stops it from being heavy. I like it. Glad to have it but my 65ml will be my only bottle. Out of the 2 mentioned fragrances the Pleats has quickly become a staple so I'll focus on purchasing more of this one as the airey rose is more uplifting for me. I'll look forward though to wearing Tendre in different seasons as Ive got a feeling weather will bring out the rose or the earthy element differently ♡♡♡

I absolutely hate the opening so I stashed this one away until today. I gave it a second chance and...oh my! I sat thru the opening and waited an hour or two. And this dry down is really lovely. Its a nice sweet apple rose skin scent. Im surprised on how lovely this one is and i will repurchase it again. I have the OG edp on my way and im really excited and curious about it. *Update* ive layerd this little beauty with a vanilla body oil. And its a big love now

A slightly fruity floral with a prominent fresh, green, sparkling rose. This is the type of scent that is very pleasant but will often be considered boring or generic. But if you are looking for something inoffensive, work appropriate, modest, this will work nicely. Works for any age and would probably make a nice gift. As others have mentioned, it suffers from very poor projection and lasting power. I do like the scent quite a bit, but I'll be trying some other rose fragrances before committing to a bottle of this.

Although I like the original Body, I find that it can be overwhelming at times, a problem that I never encounter with this one as it’s less floral and a lot more green and sparkly. A squeaky clean and uplifting scent that becomes sweeter with time, I know I’ll be wearing it daily as the weather gets warmer.

this is very nice scent for spring. fresh, light, not sweet and just with a little frop of bitterness. i have tried all other from Burbery Body series and sandly no other worked for me, but this one is just right. i do smell the original dnr, but it is only slightly here and this one is different enough from others, which is a good thing for me. others were too bitter from wormwood and had to much rose for my taste, they were also too strong and too long lasting. i like my perfumes light and subtle and this one is just perfect. i like that bitterness which is just enough to balance the pink freshness and it makes it interesting for me. this is the scent for light scent lovers.

Up to all the fragrances i have ever known to this day, this one is the best shampoo-ish scent ever. It is the clean hair scent that fleets around you all day. Good for summer, ok for winter, best for spring.

Beautiful, reminds me of a rainy day... I don’t know why but it does. Like wet wood and flowers but in a well blended way. I love & live for a good woody scent and this is one of them!
