Burberry Brit Sheer

It is hard to rate something that is so nostalgic, and reminiscent of my late teens. This perfume just screams "girlhood" to me. Juicy litchi, sweet peony... it's intoxicating. I know that people tend to rate it as a day perfume, but I disagree. It is strong, flirty, and *meant* for date nights. I associate it with clumsy, stolen kisses under flickering lights. I tend to gravitate towards more subtle, elegant notes nowadays, but this will always be on my shelf for days when I am feeling a bit sassy and flirtatious.

I was searching sooo hard for something that smelled light, fresh, post-shower and laundry detergent-esque, just something clean. This was it for me! But seriously one of the worst perfumes I’ve owned as far as longevity. Smell is completely gone in an hour

Very fresh, citrusy. But it reminds me of a cleaning product. Lol. Very very light too. It can be unisex, but leans a tad more feminine. Definitely a summer scent.

A very clean, fresh, light, and effervescent fragrance. It has a very slightly soapy type of clean scent, but in a good way. It would be a great choice for at the office because it’s an inoffensive scent. It’s also a nice casual fragrance, so it’s great for daytime wear and anytime that you just want to smell/feel fresh and clean. Burberry Britt Sheer reminds me somewhat of Clean Reserve Skin and Phlur Missing Person. They’re not the same, but they have a similar clean feel to them. I tend to get really good longevity with my fragrances, and this is no exception… it lasts throughout the day on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

citrus is very strong on me, floral a little more than i wouldve liked, but thats my own feeling on florals. really enjoy wearing it so far. VERY light. fresh. love it.

Sweet, slightly musky/cozy, subtle. Dare I say, sheer? Or perhaps a light, sheer, organza top with a light cashmere wrap for cool nights.

yuzu and pineapple, so fun! super fresh and lovely for springtime and summer. i'll be bringing this with me on vacation, it's just so uplifting and pretty. i definitely smell the peony in the dry down, which i love (i love peony). it's definitely not a perfume that'll last all day. wishing i got a little more of the lychee as that is one of my favorite scents, but on the whole, very satisfied with my blind buy from ross!

Fruity, fresh shampoo, but not to the extent of Marc Jacobs' Sorbet. It's a lot more clean and less offensive than that one. I've been inadvertently complimented wearing this - my friends said they smelt something really nice, like someone had just showered. In fact, I did not take a shower, just wore this perfume. Was somewhat surprised they could even smell it, considering how quick this one fades. In the end, I didn't tell them I was the one wearing perfume (or had just showered), but I think they would've figured it out on their own anyways considering that people move to places. I love clean bathroom, but a lot of perfumes actually turn slightly bitter on my skin. That makes this perfume smell slightly more mature and less 'generic shampoo/nice bathroom' on me :D I just wish this had more lychee. I've been on a lychee hunt in perfume for a long time, but today's still not the day.

This perfume is very near and dear to my heart. It was my wedding scent. Fresh, feminine, and sweet. This was my signature scent when I was in my 20’s, and it started my love for perfumery. I still wear it on occasion, and I always get a compliment from my hubby.

This skews more fresh-watery on me, not quite shampoo or soapy. It's sort of a strange powdery/aquatic - but I love it! And I'm not a fan of powdery - it's maybe like they liquified elements of powdery plus the freshness of an indistinct ...hmm...sweetness. But overall, it's. very, very fresh, light, and clean smelling. Great work/every day perfrume. I just got myself a little rollerball and I'm going to get the full bottle so I can do larger spritzes. Lovely after a bath/shower. I feel refreshed wearing it.

I like all the notes listed, but I do not like this fragrance at all! I barely get any of the fruit, but instead there is some harsh, chemical smell. Maybe it's the citrus being a bit off. I am not sure. Very disappointed because I am looking for a nice lychee fragrance.

A great blind buy. Its soft, sweet, and sensual. Its always at a great price at tjmaxx or Ross.

Smells like soapy fresh laundry. So that’s what it is now. A perfume for my clothes and linens, not my skin. 4/10 :(

I am starting to question my ability to smell fruit notes after reading the reviews for this and realizing it's not my first time missing out on fruit scents that others notice. The comparison to shampoo is accurate. I would say this is bright, floral, and a little chemical. It's not for me, and also not unpleasant or overpowering. So there's that.

I'm learning there's more than one kind of soapy scent. There's fragrances that smell like bar soap, vintage, French-milled, gentle. There's laundry detergent/freshener/softener smells. There's nondescript bathroom air freshener aromas. There's shampoo, which can be divided into further categories: men's, women's, children's, and dog shampoo. And then there's liquid hand soap, the kind that comes in the cheapy transparent pump bottle with the picture of the clownfish on the inside. This one is smack between children's shampoo and clownfish hand soap. It's the sickly-fruity-sweet shampoo the popular girl in 5th grade wears, which her mother sometimes sneaks pumps of to remind herself of her own days as 5th grade popular girl. It's the generic fruity clean scent of their bathroom, with its Glade air freshener. And it's the smell of the unscented clear liquid Softsoap hand soap standing at their sink. I've never smelled a more distinctly shampoo-like fragrance in my life, with more liquid-hand-soap nuances. I can practically taste the glycerin. The edible arrangement of nondescript tropical fruit notes is bang-on. The hint of quintessential early 2000s floral musk lingers in the air like a familiar old acquaintance taking up all the space in your bathroom with her five hundred bottles of hair products. If this came out today from some smaller niche house as a self-aware nostalgic scent with a name like "2007 Bathroom", I think people would buy it. I don't understand why someone would want to smell this much like shampoo, but it's genuinely a cute, very clean, and inoffensive tropical fruity smell. The fruits and florals are all well-blended and pleasant. If you're unafraid of soapy scents and you like the notes and the clean bathroom vibe I've described, go for it.

Peony, Musk, and no vanilla (it makes it different from most of BBW peony compositions). For me to work it has to be mixed with some woody perfumes to make it last a bit longer. In my experience it very well layers with an old school vtg white musk from the body shop (some oak moss has them anchored) together. My advise is to only get it if it is extremely discounted since back than in 2007 it was produced under Interparfum well known for fleeting creations.

Starts off with a burst of sweet fruitiness - akin to a waft of your favourite shampoo. Dry down is sickening, like a musty citrus deodorant...not for me.

As one could guess from the top notes, Burberry Brit Sheer opens sweet, bright, and juicy. However, its fruity notes don't dominate for long, and BBS soon transitions into a slightly dampened floral fragrance with bright, fruity supporting notes. The peony and peach blossom have a pollen-heavy muskiness to them, that, when combined with the tropical top notes, give BBS a somewhat humid, rainforest vibe. However, as BBS’s fruity top notes fade, they take most of that tropical element with them, and BBS slowly morphs from tropical-fruity-floral-fresh to musky-soapy-floral-fresh. BBS is feminine, generally youthful (but not immature), and fine for pretty much any girl or woman and any spring/summer occasion, barring very fancy formal events where it might feel a bit breezy and indifferent. It's certainly nothing to sneer at, but in the end it feels a bit middling and average to me. But then I've never been one for "easy" fragrances, so YMMV.

Yes! Happy! Fresh! Feminine! Sunshine! Floral! Peonies everywhere! Just a few words that come to mind! This is my go-to Fresh Floral fragrance! It smells so fresh and clean and not overwhelming! This is definitely a signature scent of mine along with a similar choice, Chloe's Love Story Eau De Toilette. These fresh happy scents just make my mouth water! Bonus: I can aaaaaalways find this at Marshall's or TJ Maxx!

This is the original 2007 composition, I am not sure if the newest version is any different but based on my feelings for this bottle, I doubt I'll be testing it to see. The bottle itself is gorgeous, and I'm sad to say that's the only thing I really like about it. This scent is inoffensive I suppose---I felt it opened kind of harsh and cleanser-like, but it's mostly a musky floral-fruity scent with not much personality once it dries down. It has absolutely nothing in common with the edt or edp of Burberry Brit--it's not really a 'sheer' version of those as there is no familial connection. If you like musky fruity florals with no personality, then this one is for you. Safe for office or classroom for sure.

I bought this perfume because I read that it is similar to bright crystal by Versace. This perfume opens with a burst of juicy fruity notes (some citrus, pineapple, lychee) which, the first time I sprayed it, literally made me say 'wow'. For me, these fruity notes last only about an hour then it dries down to a soft powdery floral musk which is pretty unremarkable. I think this is a nice subtle scent if you want to prolong that 'just out of the shower' freshness, and I will be using it in Summer or at the gym when I don't feel like wearing a strong fragrance. This perfume is similar to bright crystal in that it is a light fruity floral, however I think Bright Crystal is superior.

Unfortunately this smells like a house cleaner to my nose. I do like the pineapple scent that comes through but I just can't get past the cleaner sharpness.

I bought a box of 5 Burberry sample sizes particularly because I wanted to smell this fragrance. I wanted to love it. Out of the bottle it smells very potent, and the citrus is very overwhelming feeling almost cheap. It dries down to a very synthetic, chemically smell. Not very pleasing almost clinical and cold. Maybe nice for beginners on very young women. *UPDATE: I decided to give this fragrance a 2nd try and On a rainy day outside it smelled delightful on me. While still being a bit chemical smelling, but juicy and a bit floral. it was sort of pleasing. IDK how to describe it. This is a bit fruity compared to other Burberry fragrances. It is definitely different. I'll update again on attempt 3.

I just dont like this. The citrus is overpowering, sharp & it comes across smelling like something you spray on your countertops to clean with. I think this is the only Burberry scent I have ever disliked.

Perfect clean and fresh out of the shower scent! Nothing absolutely special about it, but nothing bad neither... it's a good everyday scent that could not bother anyone... it's good, but not great if you see what i meen... I tryed this one because of it's comparaison to bright crystal wich I love, but except for the clean aspect, I personnaly dont think they are dupes... I prefer the sweet tarteness of bright crystal, but that just my taste

To me, the grapefruit smell is way too strong and makes it smell like a house cleaner. Wouldn’t suggest.

On first spray, it made me literally say "YES!" because it was perfectly fruity and pretty and sparkly, however after about 20 minutes, it smells like straight Clean Linen Lysol on my skin, almost masculine. I wish there were a way to keep that top note because it was amazing!

I love this scent when it's hot outside. It's very fruity and clean smelling and doesn't really slap anyone that might be in close proximity in the face-it radiates about arms length and very very lightly. The opening for me is nothing but citrus and after an hour or so I get gentle peony and just a little lingering fruit but nothing complex. Very simple fragrance. Nothing seductive or multi-faceted to this one at all. It's all clean laundry and eating fruit on a hot summer day.
