Intimately Beckham Men

Let me start by saying, Intimately isn't my type of fragrance - at all. However, I felt compelled to review it as it falls into the 'I had it' category. What I will say for the Beckham fragrances; they're extremely good value for money. The longevity is generally decent - not great, but decent - especially when you compare to something much more expensive like Armani He (see my review; one of the most frustrating fragrances ever!), and the sillage is generally...okay. But these fragrances actually do have layers to them. Unlike others in a similar price bracket, the Beckham range isn't one-dimensional or generic-smelling; there's actually some substance to them. And Intimately is probably a good example of why I say that. It's warm, vanillary, and spicy, which, if you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know is pretty much a list of things I don't generally look for in a fragrance. And yet, I actually quite like this. Not enough to choose 'like' on the Fragrantica scale, but a very solid 'ok'. There's a cosy sophistication to it that surprised me. The warmth is probably what stands out most, and while there's definitely sweetness there, I don't remember it becoming the sort of cloying, sickly sweetness that usually puts me off this style of fragrance. Another reason I generally stay way from the amber-coloured colognes is my brain's automatic judgment that "this is gonna smell like a 50s businessman, isn't it?". There's the "old man" that veers closer to Ralph Lauren Polo Green, which is the fragrance embodiment of "grandad's wandered off again - follow his scent", and there's the "old man" that's closer to Don Draper; a bit of suave, 1950s loveable rogue. A hint of Lucky Strike, a smidgen of leather brogues, but an unmistakeable elegance that whispers "masculinity" without shouting it... ...and that's what Intimately Beckham is. The fragrance notes in the pyramid here are slightly off, in my opinion. Yes, there's the cardamom, star anise, and overall spiciness, but very little in the way of bergamot and grapefruit. To me, it's more like a generic "zing", rather than specific citrus notes. Almost like when a fruit drink advertises itself as being "tangy with real fruit juice", but you look at the ingredients and it's 4% real juice, and mostly citric acid that's giving it that quality. And that's not to say it's a bad thing, not in this case, as it does have a little bit of a 'refreshing' quality, considering it's definitely a nighttime fragrance. If those 'Arabian Nights' with a hint of youthfulness are your kinda vibe, you'll like this. I wouldn't buy it again, only because there's others in the range I prefer (see my review of Instinct), but it's certainly great value for money if you have that type of nose.

David beckham intimately truly is quality for the low price of around 15€,it has that gentleman smell,some vanilla,some bergamotte and some amber,some sandalwood and i personally smell like dates or some sort of fruityness!

Got a sample from a perfume store, honestly it doesn't have the good projection and when I smell closely after few minutes it was more pleasant. Projection: 5/10 Fragrance: 7/10 Strong: 7/10 Lasting : 7/10 ( after 2 hrs it fades, only the user can sense)

I really wanted to like this one, but it’s one of the weakest scents I’ve ever owned! 🫤 The smell is already quite faint after the initial sprays calm down, and then it seems to be completely gone within 1-2 hours! 😅 I bought it as a cheapie to use for work, but my journey is close to an hour long, so it’s faded/almost gone by the time I arrive! Yes, it’s cheap, but I don’t think it’s worth buying simply because of the poor longevity. Whilst the scent is sweet/masculine, I also find the dry down bordering on the unisex side, which I don’t remember it being when I first smelt it (many years ago). There’s nothing very memorable about it. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this one, there are other cheap Beckham scents (and other brands) that are better value than this.

I genuinely don't think anyone should get this fragrance it's a skin scent when sprayed + I get a smooth sweaty vibe from this fragrance projection is awful. The smell is not appealing for me at all 2/10 overall

Believe it or not, I am a woman in my early 40s and I just think I found my new signature scent! This fragrance is not super masculine. I love heavy, spice-laden fragrances and this is just divine on my skin. It smells thick and rich. Very heavy on the cardamom. Longevity on me is 6hrs+. I can smell the grapefruit initially, but it burns off in about 5mins and I'm left with just beautiful warm spices. I can see how this would not last super long on men and that they would be dissapointed with the performance of it, but I could see it performing better on women. I also like wearing Boucheron Jaipur for men and this has some similarities to me. Ladies, if you're curious and like spicy fragrances, give it a go. You won't be disappointed! Absolute quality for the price too.

An okay scent like most generic, good quality male scents… but performance is wack, scent leaves you forever in 30 mins and you’re back to your sweat in 30 mins!

The scent is decent. Nothing “wow,” but pleasant. It’s slightly woody with a touch of sweetness, making it easy to wear. Performance is okay. It lasts around 4+ hours on my skin with modest projection. For the price (around $15), there’s really not much to complain about. Good value for the money.

It is a pretty generic masculine scent. For the price of it I think it is a good woody and spicy fragrance. Overall I will not be purchasing again as there are nicer woody/spicy fragrances if you are willing to spend a little bit more. The Longevity is not fantastic, I found after about 3 hours the scent was practically gone on my skin.

the atomizer is SHIT, no lie, it squirts on the bottle not on u, u have to replace the atomizer for it to be usable, for me, it smells pretty well for its price but doesnt last long and is INTIMATE AS SHI, u could spray 20 and itll have a radius of prob 5 cm from u

This is just the textbook definition of a generic, woody masculine smell. It’s super subtle—almost undetectable—and doesn't bring anything remotely new to the table. The atomizer is a major fail; it literally pisses a whole stream instead of giving a fine mist. And the longevity is less then that of a fart. Look, at least it was only five bucks, and the bottle actually looks decent. But that's where the praise ends. Verdict: 4/10

Honestly I can't detect most of those notes, I mainly get a bunch of woods, black pepper and it just smells generally fresh and airy. This is NOT a complaint, I prefer fragrances that aren't overly heavy or complex. I really like it.

This smells great and I really want to find it in another fragrence, but the longevity and sillage is non-existent

$15 AUD for this one. Pretty impressed with how unique this smell is for the price, nothing that will blow your socks off but it's not a typical smell. I immediately get salty liquorice on the opening, a wisp of citrus and then just a nice sombre woody powder heart, and that lasts for around an hour or two, basically 0 silliage, but I don't think this scent would suit it anyway. Probably a 5/10, can do much worse for $10 usd

I have been gifted 2 bottles of this. Something just unfulfilling about it. Not bad at all, just very powdery, ambery and a little sandalwood/patchouli without much depth. I don't get citrus from it at all. Works as toilet spray but I never reach for it to put it on my skin. I'd rather smell like pure talcum powder.

You get what you pay for, so dont expect olfactory fireworks with this Bargain Basement Beckham Boquet. A pleasant aromatic whisper that soon deserts the skin, opening with some initial promise but dries down to complete absence in a short while, a memory of what should have been!....but dictated by extreme low price means....meh! Overall, not a bad initial woody/boozy aroma, but undetecatable after an hour. Spray some on for a quick "one-two" freshen up anytime and thats all you'll have.

Cheap, but good. Spicy wood with a hint of sweet booze. For the price it's genuinely pretty good. I see comments complaining about the sillage (which I can't dispute) and the longevity of it. First of all, you get what you pay for and this is definitely not a top of the line cologne. But it also isn't AS short lasting as a lot of you are saying. It lasted around 2-3 hours for me the first time I used it, but my girl noted being able to smell it even after that. And it's lasted practically all afternoon for me today, after I used vasoline on my pulse points. Yeah, if you're wearing it alone, you can't expect to get much mileage. But I think a lot of people on here forget application matters. If you want to avoid paying high prices, just throw in a few bucks for a vasoline jar with this cost and it's worth it.

This is one of the best bottles you can get for $15. It's in the same realm as D&G The One with the amber and cardamom, but this is much more powdery and safe with the nutmeg and sandalwood notes. Definitely smells intimate as the name suggests. This is a really nice cold-weather or nighttime fragrance for a man under 25 on a tight budget. I’ve had several of Beckham’s fragrances and none of them perform particularly well, but this is better than most. Much better than those from the Classic line of his, which last about 30 minutes. I get about 2-3 hours of light projection from several sprays, fades completely after about 4-5 hours, which is pretty good for something this cheap. If all you own is stuff like Nautica Voyage, this is a great compliment to that for occasions when you don’t want to smell like shower gel. It’s one of the least synthetic smelling fragrances I’ve come across for under $20. It’s a light, cozy smell that not everyone will love, but few will hate. It is an excellent value and a great option for someone young or less experienced with fragrances looking to try something different.

Got this gifted by my uncle. And when I first tried it I didnt like it but I let it macerate and its beautiful now. Its so "sexy" you can say. Ik it sounds tacky but it really is quite nice. Its very formal and very manly too without any wood, tobacoo or leather notes. I wish some arabic perfume house used the same notes and made a ultra strong version of this. that projects like crazy and lasts super long too (DM me if something like this exists please).

Kinda smells like warm pee

Not a bad smell, but you can feel the ingredients are not expensive. I use it as a car freshener. 3/10

This and Joop Homme are the two worst fragrances ever created.

Dear fragrance lovers, I would be delighted to inform you I am attending a 5-day trip to the four seasons Orlando. This fragrance, being the perfect scent for this occasion, it will be making some needed appearances at the cheeky bar, right down the alley. With this scent, I will have all the big bootylicous sigmas all over me. Compliments: Don't expect for people to stop you on the street, matter of fact at all. Defiantly not for a young audience and not mass appealing. Uniqueness: A lot of better boozy fragrances out there on the market, this feels cheap, harsh and not different from something you would pick up from Poundland/Dollar tree. Bottle design: Very uncreative, something you would except from wish.com Overall: 2.5/10

My first fragrance i bought and unfortunately i didnt know anything about fragrances and i regret this A LOT! Performance is horrific and the smell is even worse.

This smells great!! Too bad the longevity is only about 3-4 hours. Projection last maybe 2-3 hours and the sillage is weak. The price is super budget friendly so I just spray more! If the projection and longevity were better, this fragrance rating would easily be a 4.3 or higher…
