Raspberry+Strawberry flavored tobacco on a hookah 🍓🧃 I've been eyeing a fruity tobacco "shisha" perfume to fulfill my frivolous vanity; Kilian's Smoking Hot is waiting its turn as I indulge myself with this dusty dolled up raspberry. I was almost running out of my edp when I found this edt for a steal coming in the sleek slender glass-cap bottle (the vintage oh so indeed prettier one!) & how could I possibly resist?! this is exactly the edp only this time a little more buffered. I constantly picture myself putting some heart shaped, raspberry pink ice cubes in a frosted snifter glass and pour my Hot Couture edp as I watch it dilute from golden amber to this cute salmon pink juice... this goes for the taste too :) this is how I imagine their difference. the softer all around approach of the edt plus the amplified citrus and minus the density of the black pepper implies a more vapour-esque quality whereas the edp stands a little more "perfumy" to my nose.

Hot couture has been my signature scent for almost 15 years now. I’ve gone through countless bottles and anyone who is around me associates this scent with me. I have the original bottles and the new ones and the biggest thing I can say is that the key to both the new and old bottles is maturation . Hot couture has to mature for years to get that scent we long for. That deep sizzling spicy berry note does not do its big one unless this sits for awhile. Oddly enough I’ve found that the best bottles I’ve had of this have been the ones I’ve completely disrespected. The ones I’ve left in my car in 115 degree temperatures for an entire summer and left uncapped at the bottom of a purse for a year or two. Hot Couture thrives off the disrespect. When you have a new bottle you are going to get mainly the smoky notes and citrus. So let it sit. Don’t give up on her she will show you who is boss one day I promise. The long maturation period may sound annoying to some people but for me it’s worth it because I genuinely love everything about this fragrance. It’s getting harder and harder to find every year and I have fully accepted that one day it will likely be gone. So in the meantime I just buy multiple bottles throughout the year to keep stocked up. Also I find this performs best in fall and spring. The harshness of winter and summer tend to mute the berry note.

Still so unique. Not as syrupy as it was when it first came out and they have definitely amped up the vetiver a tad too much but its still great.

Smells the same as I remember it - raspberry sugary candies in the glass of water. Dusty drydown. I remember when TF Tuscan Leather (by J. Cavallier) was launched and I smelled it, I instantly knew where the raspberry accord comes from. From Cavallier's Hot couture edt.

This is SO good. So sultry and addicting. My husband loves this on me. can't believe it took me so long to finally try this one.

Years later this stuff has only gotten better to me. Love that incense smoky raspberry! It's not as strong as it used to be. It used to be thick like jam and now it's a bit dustier in the best way. Love this classic and love the new bottle.

This is one of the most unique fragrances I own. The blend of raspberry, vetiver and slight smoke is so stunning and distinctive. The longevity and sillage on this one is a beast as well, it will easily last you the whole day (and night).

I still have my og bottle from the early aughts. Like a lunatic I wore this day and night, to high school and beyond, even though the dry down is a full smoking-cigars-in-the-darkened-corner-of-a-nightclub on me. Cringey teenager stuff. I only wear this on evenings out now. Initial spray is citrus and girlish raspberry with a hint of magnolia. After an hour or two it bleeds into cigar and musk. It’s rather sexy and the main reason I still use the frag. To paint a picture: I love wearing a full face of makeup and my black leather jacket with this frag. Feminine but rough. Flirty but mature.

I reviewed a couple comments down, but I was able to get my hands on a modern EDT of this (in the new bottle) and it's pretty good. I find that it's not as hard-hitting as the formula in older bottles, but it still has the same aura: raspberry sweetness with a touch a vetiver. A bit watered down... but coming from someone who snubs their noses at reformulations, I'm surprisingly okay with having a modern bottle of this instead of a vintage.

Nostalgic perfume , it reminded me of the 90s days Fruity amber white flower with little spices thets what I am getting on my skin It is a signature scent material Did not buy it because of the price & wasn’t impressed with it

I can't believe I memory-holed this one for so long. The first time I caught a whiff of Hot Couture (EDT) was on one of the popular girls in high school... she sprayed it on right in front of me in the hallway and it was intoxicating. We're talking back in 2004. She was the kind of girl who dated the football player, but also stole cigarettes from her mom (but her mom didn't care because mom was cool, too). Preppy, but simultaneously party-girl. Seems plenty others get this exact vibe from this perfume! It's so fitting - it's made almost exclusively for that kind of girl. I'm not that, but I have a travel spray and my god, I love it. I'll scout a full bottle when I'm done with it. People will follow your trail when you wear this, guaranteed. The vetiver (which I usually dislike) is so smoky/ashy and gives Hot Couture exactly what it needs - that little bit of "raunch factor", a touch of a cigarette that was just put out. It keeps the raspberry cotton candy vibe from being juvenile, instead making it borderline sexy and mature. The citruses are amazing in this, too, keeping it lively. Seriously, after remembering this one, I don't know why I ever bothered lusting after RL's Beyond Romance or Angel Nova for a raspberry note. Hot Couture is the only raspberry perfume I want. Givenchy repackaged this into a new bottle and I'm worried it won't smell like what it used to. If you want its magic, my personal opinion is getting an old bottle (tall, skinny rectangular) of the EDT is worth it.

I like this on me but it's hard to describe why. I notice the raspberry most, even after many hours. But there's a warmth to it, which I think must be the amber, that brings it closer to the kinds of perfumes I usually like. It doesn't smell particularly strong on me, even to me, so I can be confident that it's probably not overpowering anybody but I can still detect and enjoy it if I sniff.

All I get is sugar, raspberries, and rubber . The EDP is a lot more round, less sweet and balanced on my skin. Too bad because I was hoping to like this one more because of the strawberry.

This eau de toilette is not to be confused with the eau de parfum which is quite different! Here, what I smell first is this absolutely delicious raspberry, not too sweet because - immediately after - the spices arrive. A little bit of rose, a little bit of amber... I'm not expert enough to detect all the ingredients but what I do know is that the final result is superb; a fruity, floral and spicy scent all at once, I love it! So different ! To me it's more a spicy scent than a smoky one. The eau de parfum, on the other hand - although I also like it - is extremely strong on the "peppery" side or what others call the "smoky" side (at least for my taste) which bothers me a little. P. S : I love this fragrance and I never smoked in my whole life...

Signature scent material if you smoke. This, as well as the EDP in the winter, is my go-to scent everyday. Feminine and with character. This is a wearable feminine-leaning version of TF Ombré Leather or YSL Noble Leather.

Fruity, gullible, ditzy, a fun time. At the club and the man lights a cigarette for her. She’s an uptown girl without a care in the world. And she’s my alter ego in scent form. I found the original chocolate bar shaped bottle pre-formulation before they jacked up the price. Back up worthy.

Анонім★★★★★

It’s slutty. It’s trashy. It’s fruity. It’s smoky. It’s rosy. This smells like a girl that chews raspberry bubblegum to cover up the scent of the cigarettes she chain smoked. It feels very 90s rockstar, or 00s party girl.

Анонім★★★★★

This is just pure delicious. This is a fruity floral done right (as in enhanced by florals, citrus and spices as opposed to vanilla and gourmands)! This is also quite evidently a nostalgic smell as it was released back in 2000 when fragrances were interesting and exciting. This eau de toilette is obviously less "smoky" than the eau de parfum but it still excels in longevity and sillage. Thank you Alberto Morrilas and Jaques Cavallier!

YUMMY! This is so delicious. I remember being in love with this scent as a pre-teen when it first came out in 2000, and spraying it from the tester every time I was at the mall. My mom always said it was too sweet and too mature for a 12-year-old, and she was right. I finally got it in 2023 from the Givenchy site, so it's the reformulation, but honestly, it smells just like I remember back in the day. It is a sweet, fruity, raspberry-forward scent with a strong smoky undertone, which keeps it from being too girly/candy-like. It's a sweet dark scent, in a similar vein to Hypnotic Poison et al. Now in my thirties, I feel I can finally pull off this scent and it is so nostalgic at the same time! It's more of an evening scent, I think it might be too much for everyday/work.

This perfume gave me lots of compliments when I worked nights at a restaurant back in 2011. Lots of men were drawn to it. The way I would describe this is a smoky/ raspberry/champagne scent. Very night time party girl scent. It smells kinda like Valentino born in Roma except Valentino is more vanilla based and Givenchy is more musky/spicy drydown. I love it though. A very nostalgic scent for me.

CALLING ALL CHILDREN OF THE 90S: Do you remember opening a fresh My Little Pony, straight out of the package? Did you ever close your eyes and take a big hardy whiff? Remember the soft, colorful silicone as it touched your nose, how the specific ambiguous aroma of it lingered like magic for weeks as you played with it? The shiny plasticene hair in colors of the rainbow? You might not have been able to visually tell that you had received a "knock off" pony for your birthday, but it never smelled like the exactly like the authentic ones? This bottle contains that mystical, magical authentic My Little Pony fragrance. It is my signature perfume. I have people ask me why I smell so familiar, so comforting. It sparks memories in their minds that they can't quite place. I smile and say: "Did you love My Little Ponies and Polly Pockets?" They remember and cannot believe they forgot. They had the Ponies, their cousin or sister did. They bought them for their kids, etc. Their huge smiles are priceless to me, feeling the weightlessness of childhood, the joy of the memories. I am also a cigarette smoker, and don't plan on quitting, so my perfume must always jive with the smell of burnt tobacco, and this does gracefully. Its natural smokiness is perfect for the cigar or cigarette indulgence. It's projection is amazing for an EDT, you can smell it for days after on clothing. The longer a bottle can cure, the better. It ages like fine wine. The raspberry accord is tangy and refreshing. In no other fragrance have I experienced it. I've searched. Others try and cannot compare. It balances the smoky and sweet over all. It is a deep and almost bitter vanilla, sparkling raspberry seltzer, powdery babydoll eclipsed in sexy thick shaved and toasted sweet coconut candy. It is in no way tropical. I've received so many complements and stories of memories with this one. My daughter hugs me tight every time I wear it. Bury me with a bottle. This review is for the EDT. The Hot Couture EDP smells absolutely nothing like the EDT. I wouldn't recommend it.

Nostalgia led me to pick this back up, but I was curious about the new reformulation & super happy that I still get the same raspberry/strawberry sweetness. I detect more of the vetiver note rather just berries & cigarette-smokiness in the past I struggled with. Ive always preferred the edt over the edp bc of bright opening and more casual wear. Overall, the new formulation smells more refined.. still unique and sexy as ever!

The EDP has the same ashtray smell that Sunshine by Amouage has but I can not smell it in the EDT at all… I declutered my Sunshine Amouage due to the smoke note! The EDT is a beautiful sweet juicy raspberry! I have about 230 perfumes (niche/designer/middle eastern) and this will always remain in my top 10.

My friend kindly gifted me a decant, it's in her top 5 fragrances! When anyone shares their favorites with me or talks about them, I consider it quite special 🥰 From some of the reviews here an on YT throughout the years, I had always expected this to be a super smokey, piquant, peppery affair...it isn't at all. In fact, I think this is really, really easy to like. It begins and remains a predominantly berry-forward fragrance, with the modest spice (and truly, I don't think this is even remotely *that* spicy) moving toward the front only after half an hour or so when it settles. In fact, I didn't even recognize any spice until then, as it took a while to develop on my skin. At no point is this ever *hot* (funny, considering the name) or sharp. It's smooth. I also get 0 cigarette tones here, and if think if anyone wants to discuss cigs, I'd direct them toward original Tresor 😆 What is surprising is that vanilla isn't listed here in the pyramid. It doesn't have a cakey vanilla tone to me, but it is lightly vanillic nonetheless. Of course, vanilla is part of the amber accord anyway. However, this doesn't read as much of an amber to me, and I would refrain from describing it as such. Even as I hold my wrist up to my nose, it isn't heavy, and it doesn't spark an amber association. I think I'm wearing it at the perfect time of year, when it's almost summery, but not quite hot yet. By looking at this on paper, I expected an edgy, autumnal fragrance, but what I'm actually smelling is a sweet, softly spicy, easy-going fragrance with enough character to be interesting, but not boundary pushing. It doesn't smell exactly like Parisienne, but there are similarities. Parisienne also gets a edgier rap than I believe was realistic, and instead of being totally bad*ss, I felt that it leaned more "soft grunge/punk", and I think HC does too (at least this EDT version, I'll need to try the EDP someday). Both are still really polite and understandable. Parisienne also felt like late spring-early summer to me. If anyone loved Parisienne and mourns her discontinuation, I'd recommend this! Very, very similar in personality! Longevity&sillage are moderate, but not bad for an EDT.

This smells really spicy on me. I don’t really pick up much on the fruity notes (that’s just me) but I do like this scent.

One of the best mature fruity florals ever created-The blueprint. It has the perfect amount of tartness, juiciness, sharpness, sweetness and depth with added tobacco smokiness. This is a grown up Barbie fragrance. Barbie biker chic. Although many fragrances now share some of Hot Coutures components, none manage to bring all the ingredients together to give you the sexy strong sensual feeling this does. Will always be in my collection

I have the “older” EDT formulation in the bottle that’s pictured. I think it’s still possible to get your hands on one from discount sites before they’re gone forever. I smelled this for the first time in 2008, and the bottle I have is the exact same thing. It’s a sweet and tangy, yet grown up smelling hot & gooey raspberries sprinkled with cracked black pepper. Since I love a little extra gourmand sweetness, I layer this over BBW Raspberry Jam donut cream and this combo is scrumptious! Lasts well over 7-8 hours.

It's spicy, tart, sweet raspberry. It's got an addictive quality and a great mix of different notes. I love how there's no predominant vanilla or woody note.

I discovered this fragrance about 10 years ago, when it was still carried in Sephora, and fell in love. I will always associate it with the early 2010's (and the fact that I remember reading it was Taylor Swift's favorite fragrance around that time as well), but truly this one is magic and one of a kind. It pure raspberries and smoke and I'm so glad Givenchy hasn't discontinued it yet, even though I haven't smelled the formulation in the new bottle yet. I have noticed it doesn't seem as strong as it was 10 years ago so there must have been some reformulation, but I will never not have a bottle of Hot Couture EDT in my collection.
