Gucci by Gucci Eau de Parfum

Memories... It's 2008, I'm a newly wed. We have just moved into our home, it's autumn, and I'm displaying my fragrance collection on some secondhand bedroom furniture :) I am so happy to have this fragrance back in my collection. The bottle I had was old and I couldn't wear it anymore, although I had a hard time throwing it out because I loved it so much. It's a beautiful, unique, sweet, intoxicating patchouli. Definitely for a special occasion. This fragrance will forever be special to me.

I love patchouli and this was patchouli at its best. Soo refined, perfectly blended and well performing even after all these years. The guava and honey pair beautifully to create an almost candy like deliciousness. I will forever mourn this fragrance. A timeless masterpiece that makes niche perfumes smell like a rip off. Unfortunately, nothing compares in my opinion, and its discontinuation was a sin!

Spicy, fruity , slightly tropical patchouli. Unique blend of warm oriental spices / woods and playful but mature fruit notes. Excellent composition. I would call this unisex, slightly feminine leaning perhaps.

Reminds me of Cleopatra by Tocca, but more tropical fruit forward. It's lovely, a pleasantly dainty floral with a juicy syrupy wooded base. The patchouli and musk creates a more mature feeling. Leans vintage but not cloying or stale.

You could call this a dupe of Mugler's Angel in the way they both smell very intensely of spicy, warm, woody patchouli. It's a pleasant smell but the silage is notably weaker than I'd like, fades down after 1 - 2 hours, and just ends up smelling vaguely like a hot body. A pleasant smell but use it sparingly, seeing as it is an intense chokehold on anybody's olfactory bulbs until it wears off.

Got a bottle from around 2008/2009. OMG, what a creation! Vintage but not old-fashioned, timeless, grown-up, feminine, soft flowery but not powdery, seductive chypre with slightly earthy notes. Troughout perfect mix. A masterpiece, in my eyes.

managed to get a bottle of this for 60euros from a reseller. this smells like a blond slavic diva with big breasts in the early 00s. love it so much. unfortunately the latest version did not perform that well/

It looks like a treasure box, need to try this ASAP.

Stunning 😍! This one is definitely my kind of fragrance! I love those moody sexy fragrances! If you like soft pretty florals this may not appeal to you. This is for the women who like the sexy sensual fragrances. It’s perfect for a date night or a bougie gala! There’s something creamy, perhaps the honey, that makes it a cozy comforting scent! I wish I purchased a larger bottle! Gorgeous! 11/29- I just got a larger bottle on a second hand site!! I couldn’t be happier! It’s just as good as my mini dabber! Now I can spray away! It’s still out there if you’re willing to pay a pretty steep price for it! I personally have no regrets! It’s a beauty! 12/1- I am so in love with this that I ordered yet another bottle so I have a backup! It is divine and everything I love in a fragrance for fall and winter! It’s hard to find and pricey but oh well! The dry down is stunning! I sprayed it on the back of my hand and just washed dishes. It’s still there and still beautiful! I don’t have any issues with longevity! When I tried my new bottle a few days ago, I could still smell it faintly the following morning! It truly is a shame it’s been discontinued. I unfortunately always fall hard for fragrances that get discontinued! Ugh! 😩 4/16/26- just picked up yet another partial bottle! I think it’s fair to say this fragrance has me in a chokehold!! It’s right up there with my original Gio which is my favorite of all time!! I can’t get enough of this! I love so many fragrances, but rarely do I find one that I just fall so hard for where I can’t imagine being without it. I so wish this would come back, but not reformulated!! It’s perfection to me!

Gucci by Gucci EDP is a sophisticated fruitchouly that balances well the sour notes from the underripe fruit, the sweetness from the honey and the dark woodiness of the patchouli. If you have it and tried it in the summer and found it overpowering, please revisit it on a cold winter evening, just enchanting.

Used to have this perfume about 15 years ago. It was such a heavy, rich warm scent. It smelled like old money. A love it or you hate it kind of perfume. Very classic and great for the fall/winter.

Love this scent! It’s the best thing I’ve ever smelled and brings back memories of the best days of my life. It’s such a shame that it’s discontinued. Does anyone know something similar that’s still available? Help a girl out! 🙂

My definition of old money perfume, it is rich and warm without being too sweet like most of fragrances in the market, it is a shame they discontinued it, I love Gucci guilty, but this is way superior. I am holding on my half-filled bottle till either I find another one or get over how much I love it !!

I am looking for a bottle of this. I ran out of my favorite dark bottle. I have the lighter bottle of Gucci by Gucci, but it’s not my favorite. If anyone has one that still smells great, please let me know.

Nose Note #41 Great. Fruity, slightly sour and has a bit of darkness. To me it's just about unisex, I liked wearing it. On a woman it feels elegant and sophisticated. Not very loud, but lasts long. Too bad we will never see it again.

I was hoping I'd love this, but for the first 20-30 minutes it smells like nail polish. I got a bottle from Mercari and it seems legitimate, but maybe it isn't? Maybe it's the patchouli? I don't know...The drydown is beautiful, but doesn't project much.

Absolutely beautiful fragrance. This was my mother's signature fragrance when I was a child, and I vividly remember when it was being discontinued, and we went around every perfume shop and department store in the area to purchase every last bottle we could find so she had a stockpile for a couple of years. My mum passed in March and I picked up a couple of minis off Ebay to smell for the memories, and gosh, not only is it so nostalgic to me, but it is just a gorgeous, warm, sticky, deep syrupy fragrance. My mum was a fruitchouli woman through and through and this is an incredible fruit and patchouli combo with lashings of honey. I wish Gucci did not discontinue this, not only does it smell incredible, it also performs great. Safe to say the mini-memory-bottles will not suffice and I hope to purchase a full bottle, or two, of this one day.

Honeyed patchouli done so well. Here the patch just blends in with my skin and makes it incredibly warm and sexy instead of being too green and earthy like some patches are. I started by purchasing just the lotion, fell in love and recently acquired the perfume for a good price on mercari. To my nose the most similar perfume out there would be the Intense version of Coco Mad (the original is too green patch heavy and makes me sneeze!). This is unisex but fem leaning. I’m sad it’s discontinued!

Warm, cozy, honeyed, light patchouli. Unisex, hippie vibes. This is really unique. Different than anything I’ve come across—current and from years past. I like it, though may be even better in cooler weather.

I found it in my moms bathroom, she did not use it so i took it, it s almost full and it smells beautiful, dark and sexy but by the batch code it s almost 6 years old and the bottle was used a bit so i dont know if it s safe, if anybody knows please let me know. This smells like the bottle looks, maybe a bit off in my bottle cause it s old, but a warm sweet sexy not green not too dusty pachouli with white flower. I get the hype

This is the only "unisex" perfume I love! It smells so pleasant and different. Some users wrote that it reminds them of a glamourous hippie and indeed I look like one wearing this perfume: a dark leather jacket, a chic white blouse, nice pair of blue jeans and leather shoes, with some silver earrings, watch and bracelet, a dark nail polish and wavy and long dark hair. Simple and chic. It is the perfect autumn fragrance to me and still holds a special place in my heart. Bought it around 2012 when I was a student, travelling a lot, enjoying and romanticizing life. It also gave me the image of the free spirited, optimistic, bold and beautiful woman I wanted to become.

Glamourous hippie, youthful but not juvenile, radiating warmth on day 1 at a music festival. Unimpressed when I tried this a decade ago, but it’s grown into a love over time. The pear balances the guava here, rounds and softens the fruitiness, no sharp edges. The tiare flower is gorgeous, creates a wonderful sillage in high heat. The combo of patchouli, honey, and musk could resemble the skank experienced on day 3 of a music festival but not here. Instead, perfumer Ilias Ermenidis works some alchemy to create a clean, yet earthy, second skin effect. Big love for me.

Ordered a bottle from a seller on Mercari who was downsizing her perfume collection , I loooooove it ! Warm fruity patchouli . Makes me happy . Someone told me I smelled amazing while wearing it ! It’s July 84 degrees and wearing it with pride and ease !

Scent and memory is an amazing thing. I had a sample of this way back in the day and I can still remember almost exactly how this smelt today. It's an amazingly beautiful fragrance and I wish I could get my little paws on a full sized bottle right now, especially since my nose has matured and even though I love the sweet and balanced fragrances, I love some of the mature styles too. This is like a dark dreamy forest where magical and mythical classic book fairytales come to life (this is what I picture as the memory of this scent is so enchanting many pleasant surreal things spring to mind). There is something mysterious and haunting about this perfume and almost something slightly edible. This is perfectly balanced and ideal for both men and women. The patchouli isn't nasty or harsh/overpowering, every note is beautifully complimentary in perfect harmony. When people say this reminds them of Britneys Believe they definitely mean the original formula (with the metal plate) the new version of believe isn't as lush or deep. Original Believe is so beautiful as well 😍

Absolutely lovely. Warm, comfortable, and inviting, also grown up and well blended in the extreme. The patchouli here reminds me of that in Gucci Guilty and also Jimmy Choo. It's not a green patchouli, as in Coco Mademoiselle, but has a greenery about it, possibly owing to the guava.... Not sweet, not bitter, not sharp or tangy or tart to my nose. Just perfect! If you want to create a perfectly blended patchouli, this is your model.

Gucci Gucci does have a hippie vibe. Heavy on the patchouli but it is still wearable. The honey and fruity notes keep it fun and youthful. I agree w/ @Favabeans This is the fruitachouli mothership. A good way to describe this perfume. It isn't something I would buy now. I have enough fruitachouli's, they were something that was easy to get my hands on when I started collecting 2 years ago so the vibe here is a little played out for me, but they are wearable and crowd pleasing. That is why I own quite a few of them. You can wear them anywhere and around anybody most of the time. This reminds me of Judith Leiber's Topaz which I already have but I like Topaz more.

Smells like a glamorous hippie. Totally captures the Gucci essence, I can see Zoe Kravitz or Florence Welch smelling like this. This is extremely patchouli heavy and to my nose the fruitiness is fleeting or not there at all. Ordered a sample of this being that it's compared to one of my faves - Britney Spears 'Believe'. While the similarities are there with patchouli and guava, they are not the same. This one is way heavier, more mature, and suited for colder temperatures, whereas Believe is more refreshing and sweeter with the added clementine and better for warmer months. Since this is discontinued, I'm wondering if my juice went bad because I have tried this with sprays to the wrist and projection and longevity is weak to my nose. I will edit if my experience changes! PS. The bottle looks gorgeous.
