Jour d'Hermes

I can’t describe it, but to me it smells like Rosè wine. It’s flowery but also has a juicy-ness to it. The gardenia and other florals really stand out immediately to me then there’s a fruity undertone that isn’t sickly sweet, like I find with a lot of perfumes, it does feel more refined. It doesn’t last terribly long, an hour or two at most and I find the woody base hard to pick out. Stand out floral but I get non of the musk or woody dry down. It’s a nice summer time perfume, but it doesn’t stand out to me.

A fresh, luminous floral that feels bright and slightly citrusy. It’s soft, feminine, and very refined. Ideal for daytime and warm weather when you want something light but luxe.

With all due respect to one of my favorite houses, I’m not entirely sure what I’m sniffing here. On my skin, this is so sheer and so translucent that it almost disappears upon contact. It might just be my chemistry, but it simply doesn’t hold, it fades before it even has a chance to introduce itself. When I really concentrate, I can pick up the idea: a clean, green, extremely light floral with a faintly aquatic edge. It’s elegant in theory - very Hermès - but on me it feels more like the ghost of a perfume rather than an actual one. Beautiful concept, but the execution on my skin is barely there. A whisper, a watercolor wash. Almost too polite to exist.

Loving fresh citrus florals nowadays, I couldn't resist buying this. Along Moschino I Love Love, Guerlain Pamplelune, Jour Hermes is one of my favourite grapefruit scents. Very elegant, classy, rich lady, put together, its giving quiet luxury.

This is a sweet citrus perfume with a hint of tartness. Very grapefruit and lemon-heavy, and is certainly a daytime fragrance. Good for all ages.

For me, this fragrance is the scent of tea. I really love it - it feels like a true discovery, because I never thought I could enjoy something like this. Now, whenever I need to get ready quickly, I can choose this perfume without hesitation, because I always like it, no matter the weather or the season.

Sprayed it on paper, loved the opening, stupidly decided to get it without testing on skin. Oh boy. Sprayed before going out. One hour later it smelled straight up like sour BO. I was horrified! So….test on yourselves y’all, allow skin chemistry to do its thing and decide if you still like the scent.

I think it smells like an old lady, my girlfriend thinks it smells like straight up bug spray. Either way, no good.

This wasn't what I expected at all. For some reason I built up this fragrance in my mind as being a very sophisticated, very crisp rich lady citrus-white flower concoction, but it's not that at all. It's watery and green, like grass clippings and herbs floating in a rain puddle after an April storm. There are citrus and florals in the background. It's not bad by any means, but it's much more similar to the Jardin line than I expected, only not as good.

Smells nice, clean, fresh and citrusy. Good for daytime wear. Nothing groundbreaking here but a safe blind buy.

It has the Ellena signature – fresh, light and refreshing. Opens with a blast of juicy citrus and slowly settles to a calming, sweet second skin. Pleasant skin scent that rewards the noses of only those who are close to you.

This smells like a fresh lemon bavarois dessert, eaten on sunny terrace in a beautiful garden in the South of France. With a glass of prosecco on the side and a light spring breeze, gently flowing by.

I just love it! Clean, feminine, elegant and classy. Works best for early spring mornings.

If you enjoy fresh and clean fragrances, this is for you. The grapefruit note makes it lean a little shampoo/body wash-esque for me, but my MIL loves this and has me top up an atomiser for her every time she runs low. In terms of fresh/clean fragrances, my favourite is Versace Dylan Blue Pour Femme, but this is still enjoyable. The grapefruit is zingy. The rest is soft. It’s worth giving a go.

Don't just wear this once, wear it more often and you will appreciate it immensely. There is so much going on in this perfume, most already mentioned but I would like to say something about the floral sweetness of sweet pea, is such a different sweetness, it is addictive between floral and fruit and it also gives the musk a slight sweet twist, once you start to get this you are in it and you dont want to leave this cloud. I will look up for a bottle soon, its a summer scent and are now going for reasonable prices.

I bought Jour d'Hermes when it was first introduced about 10 years ago. I love the signature design of the bottle. The thick glass base looks very nice as a decoration of the house. The opening gives a very citrus/grapefruit/pomelo accord with a very pleasant and soft dry down. Lasts about 2 hours on my skin. Performance is not outstanding, just like many other Hermes perfumes. But the natural, high-quality feeling of the scent is very appealing and can be worn in almost all occasions. I finished my bottle long time ago. I was in the Hermes store a couple days ago and revisited this juice again. Wow it still smells wonderful and very pleasant. The style is elegant and timeless. Certainly one of the most blind-buy safe scents out there.

The initial spray is very citrus forward and green, which I found to he a little overwhelming. However, it dries down beautifully into a sweet and pleasant floral scent which I quite enjoyed.

This is the most beautiful & perfect scent ever created! Thank you Jean- Claude Ellena for blessing my olfactory senses with this masterpiece! I want to bathe in this...If I ever had to choose 1 perfume to wear for the rest of my life, this would be it! This is my 1st ever review of a perfume & I made an account just so I could profess my eternal love for this perfume. Yes, I wish it lasts even longer, because I want to be one with this perfume! ♡

Strangely I find that on my skin, the middle flower notes come out first and only after a while the citrus comes out, though still with some gardenia and sweet pea somewhere in the background. It’s pretty, delicate, inoffensive. But I can’t quite see myself loving this because it fluctuates from naive to old lady and then naive again. I guess it’s just my skin chemistry. Longevity is very poor. After all, it’s Hermès.

Classic "femme" scent, floral, slightly soapy. Good to have in one's collection.

Woody, musk and peperish on my skin, can't feel citrus and grapefruit.

Expensive Skin scent

I am impressed by this perfume. First of all, its very refreshing. That burst of citrus and smooth florals combine to make a very light and pleasant scent. The green notes and musk then cap it all off to make it a very cohesive blend. It reminds me of a bright spring sunshine. It is well blended. Sophisticated, wearable, effortless, and just a joy to my nose.

Nice fresh scent but fleeting. It burst then dissipates and become skin scent.

This is my all time favourite scent for office, professional events and summer. It’s very elegant, citrusy and aquatic fresh with delicate musk in a perfect balance.
