Absoult fire scent all i pretty much get is a tart grapefruit blending into a fruity sort of parma violet sweet with a rosey/sandlwood with a hint of like popcorn scent coming across with a sharp zappy bonfire vetiver last all day on me projects ok with a perfect scent bubble around ya face

I've tried mutiple TdH bottles and THIS is the absolute best in the house of Terre d' Hermes! An effervescent realistic citrus note that actually projects and that earthy smoked vetiver is just perfection. I've actually been on a journey lately to find a better vetiver based fragrance than this and so far nothing comes close. Class and maturity in a bottle!

Its an incredible fragrance that is a mix of citrus and vetiver, while also projecting much beyond that of a skin-scent like the edt. It also stays on strong for a good while (though not as crazy as givree), while being very pleasant.

I just bought a 100 ml bottle of this fantastic fragrance. In a nutshell, to me, this is the child of Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree and Lalique Encre Noire. Unfortunatelly the performance on me is not very good, about 5 hours longevity and a very weak projection, it stays very close to my skin. Still, I highly recommend it as the smell is so good.

This one unfortunately turns powdery on my skin.

Vetiver is my absolute weakness, and I am so lucky my partner loves it just as much as I do. The perfect match haha. The second I smelled this one, I knew I had to get a bottle for him. I briefly considered keeping it for myself, but after testing it on my skin, it was a little too sharp for my liking. I’ll just stick to my Byredo Bal d'Afrique as my own gentle office vetiver perfume. But on him? It is absolutely head turning. If you want a fresh, striking vetiver for the man in your life, I definitely recommend trying this one out.

Worse than the original in every way, better in none. It's like they emphasized all the wrong parts, sadly...a bad blind buy.

My dad made an interesting statement when he smelt it on me. He said, “you smell like a rich man”. It opens with a fresh burst of lemon, grapefruit and bergamot, with a spicy element of sichuan peppers and florals at the heart. Though vetiver is described as a base note here, that’s the primary scent you’re getting. It’s a sharp, yet smooth and alluring Haitian Vetiver that stays throughout its evolution. I’d say that’s like a constant straight line on the graph, with the citrus and woody notes evolving around it. It’s a very classically masculine and classy smell. It’s the scent for a man who knows who he is and has an air of unapologetic confidence. If Neroli Portofino is the scent for a Neapolitan suit, this is the scent for a Saville Row suit.

Opening is dirty orange without mineral notes. Its dry down is more citrusy and sweet than edt version. EDT is good but flint note can be screechy to nose, sometime. In comparison to EDT ,eau intense is smoother and more pleasant though citrus base can sometime remind me of Hermes' other citrus fragrances.

Very weak sillage and longevity, maybe 3 hours max in Summer. Boring citrus and vetiver combination. Will not be purchasing again.

Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver opens fresh and refined — the vetiver cuts cleanly through the earthy, mossy base and leads the charge. It's sophisticated without announcing it, which is honestly more than I can say for most fragrances in this space. There's a quiet "money" quality to it that doesn't need to explain itself. The seasonal fit is very specific: this is spring, but not the kind that makes you want to frolic anywhere. It's a mature, composed spring — the kind that has responsibilities and keeps them. Fresh, but with gravity. The drydown introduces a gentle powder that actually holds its ground — this isn't the type of powdery that dissolves into nothing and leaves you questioning your choices. It maintains presence. An orange peel note starts to emerge alongside it, bright and slightly bitter, like a citrus note that skipped the sweetness and went straight to the point. Longevity is genuinely strong for something this fresh, which in this category is not something you should expect and therefore shouldn't take for granted. If you're looking for something polished, grounded, and quietly assured — this earns it without trying too hard. Which, honestly, is the whole point.

I don’t get vetiver in it, I think they put the normal edp in it, but this is lemonhead candies in a bottle

Airy, cold, extremely likable vetiver with the perfect amount of freshness. Suitable for all seasons!! Good 4-5 hours of soft to medium projection. Reminds of Midsummer dream from Roja. Office safe, signature worthy!!.

This is what rich smells like when it's not trying to impress anyone. I own 190ml of it. That's not a casual purchase — that's a decision. And it holds up every single time. In total, I used over 500ml of it over time. Ellena built this the way he built everything — by removing what others thought was necessary. Most vetiver fragrances need to prove themselves with sharpness, with smoke, with volume. EIV just exists. The vetiver is earthy and mineral and slightly green, and underneath it there's a warmth that never tips into sweetness. It's the most satisfied I've ever smelled on skin. I tested it back-to-back against a well-regarded niche competitor recently. The competitor had interesting moments — a leather and wood drydown I respected technically. But next to EIV it felt flat. The Hermès didn't compete. It just stood there being complete. Wears beautifully in heat. Doesn't collapse, doesn't amplify the wrong things. For a Black Sea summer it is close to perfect.

Have smelt this twice on skin from Sephora. This is a good flanker of the masterpiece that is the EDT and parfum, it pretty much amplifies the vetiver and citrus elements, however, there is this screeching element in this that feels distracting, it feels like there is an acidity here that is a bit overwhelming and ruins the scent for me. A good scent but I would reccomend you go with the parfum or EDT instead.

I understand now why calling Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver simply a “clean masculine vetiver” never resonated with me. On my skin — on a hot summer day, with a slight layer of perspiration already sitting on the body — it becomes something completely different. Not bright vetiver cologne. Not office-clean masculinity. It turns into a warm, smoky, woody aura hovering just above the skin. The vetiver is not the main character to me. It appears in tiny dry spikes that cut through the warmth, creating air, structure, and movement inside the composition. What surprised me most is how erotic it feels — but not in a performative “seductive fragrance” way. There is nothing loud, sweet, or attention-seeking about it. It smells like the warmth left on skin after intimacy: slightly salty, slightly smoky, bodily, lived-in. As if the perfume merges with heat, skin, and air instead of sitting on top of them. That’s what makes it incredibly wearable in hot weather. The heat doesn’t destroy the fragrance — it completes it. I think this aspect of the perfume is deeply underappreciated. People approach it through the lens of “masculine vetiver,” so they mainly talk about cleanliness, structure, and professionalism. But worn differently — especially on warm skin — it becomes something profoundly human rather than masculine. I also think it is absolutely suitable for women, not in a “borrowing from the boys” sense, but because its sensuality comes from texture, warmth, dryness, and bodily atmosphere rather than from masculine performance.

In a true Klaus style, this does not make my best favourite list nor my signature list. However, I am willing to purchase it just for the sake of nostalgia (I still don't have it, though). Eau Intense Vetiver smells so classic, as some users said, and I agree with that. This isn't as earthy as its predecessors, but it exudes crisp, almost-herbal warmth that is both intriguing and nostalgic. For years, I'd often found myself thinking about what the fragrance actually reminded me of because I was so sure that there was a specific moment in my childhood where the air (or an object) smelled like this. It did remind me of something cosy and warm, like being cocooned in a blanket or the remaining warmth you felt on the skin after taking a warm bath or shower, but I couldn't figure out the exact moment I smelled the scent. As far as I could remember, I never had bath products that smelled like Eau Intense Vetiver. Recently, during a family gathering, my mom talked about an old lady who used to visit the neighbourhood and bathe babies. I know the lady, even though I couldn't remember exactly what her face looked like. She would wear a traditional kebaya and keep her hair in a turban, and there was something comforting about her presence (compared to my maternal grandmother, who used to scold me a lot for buying snacks and ice cream). Once or twice a month, she would visit us and bathe my sister (at that time, she was an infant). She made her own bath products, like shampoo and soap, and would use them when bathing the babies. And then, it hit me: the homemade shampoo and soap. I was a kid; I didn't ask her the ingredients she used to make the baby bath products, but I always knew that everything she came to our house and bathed my baby sister, the air would have a distinctive smell that I associate with EIV today. I just can't wait to purchase a bottle and ask my mother to give it a try, and then tell her how EIV smells like the homemade baby bath products the old lady had back then.

First of all, upon spraying, I could immediately tell this is a Christine Nagel creation; it doesn’t smell the same, but this has the exact same “structure” as her Hermes H24. Kinda uncanny actually. This has been "built" the exact same way as H24. I never like leaving negative reviews, but I really don’t like this. I adore the OG Terre d’Hermes, and I love vetiver, but this is a muddled, cloying mess on my skin. Someone below described this as being better than Grey Vetiver, calling that perfume “sickly”. I feel the complete opposite way. Grey Vetiver is so fresh and clean in terms of how it “cuts” through the air when worn. This turns cloying and quite “dense” in the air, with a particularly “prickly” character that makes my stomach turn, especially in high heat or humidity. I sprayed this in a mall in Jakarta, then stepped out into the intense heat outside and immediately regretted that decision… I like some strange vetiver fragrances, ie Perris Monte Carlo Vetiver Java with its distinct burnt, oily, piquant vetiver smell. So I’m not averse to vetiver as a note, however, I genuinely find this fragrance a more “challenging” wear than more “out there” vetiver fragrances I own, such as Vetiver Java or Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver. Do not blind buy this. The OG Terre d’Hermes is still the undisputed king of this lineup for a reason. Having tried quite a lot of her other work, I’m realizing I personally don’t mesh with Christine Nagel fragrances…

I love it. It smells like fresh version of Shakedown St. at a Phish Concert. Citrus Vetiver Patchoulli hippy.

I gotta be honest here this fragrance is incredible. I think this one is a gate keeper meaning many won’t talk about it or talk down about it to keep it hidden from popularity. I think this is rather different than TDH original. This is certainly a modern clean freshened up Vetiver citrus combo. Just simply incredible. 10/10 for me beats Creed OV, TF Grey Vetiver, Guerlain Vetiver and Vetiver Fauve, kinda reminds me of L'Immensité somewhat but not basic at all. What a sleeper fragrance! Nagel is a beast!

This must be one of the cleanest sparkling vetiver out there. The quality of this fragrance is insanely good. Eau Intense Vetiver is contending to be the best from Hermes for me. I LOVE it. This is an update. This fragrance smells amazing, but the performance is really less than I thought. This is one hour, then a skin scent for another three, then it's gone.

this on my skin turns powdery. it may be that I'm a woman but something about vetiver turns from a sharp masculine smell into a soft powdery one. there is still a masculine overture but for the most part I just smell clean and powdery. which is my preferred way to smell for every day.

If TDH and Dior Homme Sport 2021 had a baby

Take the original Terre d'Hermes and replace the Orange with Bergamot and Lemon. Increase the Sichuan Pepper and Vetiver. That's pretty much how this smells compared to TdH. It's nice, but I prefer the "dirty orange" of TdH. Projection and sillage are good. Longevity for me is about 6 hours. If you are a Vetiver fan, this probably should be on your shelf.

Best Vetiver frag on the market for me. Less sickly than Grey Vetiver EDP/Parfum and an easier wear. Smoother than the above too and half the price. Takes that classic and fantastic Terre DNA and rounds it out nicely. An easy 9/10 fragrance and a hard choice between Eau Givree or this for the best in line. If you don't like Vetiver, I still think this is likeable for you. So even that is saying something. Top Frag. K Bye.

Psychotically masculine, a hatchet of masculinity. This frag improved my posture, I had to stand straighter to meet its standards. Good price, good designer, sharp, hard vetiver, citrus, pepper. It’s making me consider selling everything else.

What can i say here... One of the best spring/summer fragrances ever, for me. I own TDH edt, TDH EDP Intense and the parfum, i just adore all of them, but when i smelled this one, i just decided this is absolutely different scent in its way and worth owning in my collection, gosh, i even like it more than OG and Parfum versions! Good performer, longer lasting than EDT and Parfum, projects loudly first hour and a half maybe, then followed by a moderate projection which is how it should be. Classy, masculine. I dont see it to be worn with joggers and hoodies. Many around me acknowledge the greatness of TDH line but not really love them by all means, but this one is one of my wife's favorite fragrances from my collection. Not a safe blind buy, and neither is the price very welcoming for the most part as i only see it on discounters once a year. To sum up, masculinity , zestiness and freshness in a bottle
