good scent but too loud and sweet for me. also im sure theres iris in this.

Over 10 hours later the scent of the fragrance has evolved to the point it reminds me of Fahrenheit Le Parfum - this is excellent!

Smells like straight vodka with glue stick mixed in

Just don't get it. If you except a more "refined and Intense" version of the Le Male Elixir, no, it's another direction. The fruity accent feels redundant. It doesn't smell bad but it doesn't smell good either. Just get the classic Le Parfum or Elixir, it's just so much better.

This is my favourite Jean Paul gautier when it comes to smell. The plum and lavender combins so well with the cinamon which makes it a wonderful fragrance. Though i love the smell of this perfume i dont really wear it that much because i find it hard to find a situation where i can wear it. Its way to strong and sweet to wear to school and i dont see myself wearing it on a LOT of special ocassions. But I do wear it still, even though that, because I just love the scent so much. I would recomend buying it if you like sweet fragrances.

Le Male Elixir Absolu reminded me why I have trusted Jean Paul Gaultier for so many years. This fragrance takes the familiar Le Male DNA and gives it more depth, warmth and confidence without losing its playful soul. The vanilla is rich and addictive, balanced by spices and amber that keep everything smooth rather than heavy. Unlike many modern sweet fragrances, this one never feels like it's trying too hard. It has character, charm and a very distinctive personality. It's bold enough for evenings, yet elegant enough to avoid becoming overwhelming. Every time I wear it, it simply puts me in a good mood. For me, Jean Paul Gaultier has always been about emotion rather than status, and Le Male Elixir Absolu is another perfect example of that philosophy. I stopped chasing hype a long time ago. I simply follow my nose, and once again, it led me to Jean Paul Gaultier ❤️

tones down the sweetness and adds a plum note, pretty redundant but if you find elixir too sweet (i do sometimes) this is a better alternative in the same DNA. I do prefer this that plum note is pretty good and imo better than elixir. 10/10

The plum ruined it for me

Removes the mint from le male elixir (which I hate), tones down the sweetness and adds a plum note. So much better than the original elixir.

Quentin doesn't miss! A winner and a standout in the usual Sephora line-up. Now this isn't made for me but I can appreciate the craft, it's smooth, pleasant, interesting and it's niche quality! Big W

Smells like a mix of Le Male Le Parfum + Boss Bottled Absolu + Teriaq Intense NGL kinda underwhelming.. :(

What a fragrance that is, in my opinion its very good it resembles the original but better and it makes the scent profile fruity like with that amazing plum note. this fragrance is a very compliment getter it has a nice smell and it is not giving headaches at all, at least for me and for the people around me. this is one of my favourite fragrance in my collection and i do really recommend it to people who like sweet type of scent in fragrances.

I don't know I prefer the elixir this is definitely redundant if you have that ..That plum note does not do it for me

Smells like plum. pretty unique. I like.

I keep coming back to this perfect designer fragrance. It’s got something in store for everyone: Le Male Elixir lovers -> minty facets, lavender and a sweet sweet base For the Gents -> very resinous, ambery base notes, fiery benzoin with nuances of a nice mature, earthy patchouli Gourmand enjoyers -> gorgeous mouthwatering tonka bean accord, rich jammy plum in the opening, accompanied by the signature le male spicy cinnamon Fragrantica labels this as “woody” but don’t be fooled! It’s got zero woodiness inside (also no vanilla). Think “mossy bitter ground of a forest”, that’s more like it — if only a slight bit. No, generally, I’d classify this as a sweet fauxgourmand amber with a lot of details waiting to be appreciated by anyone who dares.

Very nice fragrance, however I find the plum note slightly off-putting, not bad just different. it almost smells like a plum that was sprayed by le male elixir and rolled in flower pollen, A more challenging flanker in the le male line for sure but not too challenging, the plum note does ease off after about 45 minutes but is still there, just not as prominent

#1700 in my “Tour de Fragrance” My early experience with the JPG "Le Male” line was colored by the release of the first EDT version back in the nineties, which struck me as screechy and sour and frankly it performed badly. In fact I still dislike it. I haven’t bothered with any of the endless gimmicky flanker EDTs as I rarely bother with EDTs at all. It was only a great coupon deal on “Le Male Le Parfum” that got me to give the brand another chance six years ago. I liked it a lot and so did a woman I was dating. I especially appreciated the quality and I still have it on hand. I’ve since discovered “Le Beau Le Parfum’ and “Le Beau Paradise Garden” which are also quite nice for beach wear, even more appreciated by the women who notice it, though those scents don’t hold up as well as the “Le Parfum.” This scent does hold up and I enjoy it. But I do have to ask: “WTF dies JPG have against incense, olibanum and myrrh?” They could really extend the longevity of their scents with those notes but it's like they have a phobia about anything that might come off oriental. Regardless, this is a nice plum scent with a hint of greenness that leans unisex thanks to the ambrette giving it a touch of marshmallow cream sweetness. Probably for younger men. This won’t offend anyone and is versatile for any purpose and it’s priced right. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

smells like sickly sweet honey with a bit of play-do

Did a test spray of this recently to try out some different scents I don’t usually go for and this did not disappoint! The opening plum smell was gorgeous, drying down to a really rich, creamy scent with the tonka. Left it on overnight to test the longevity and it was genuinely the first thing I smelt when I woke up. Great projection, great longevity, great scent🫶

I got the spicy sweetness immediately followed by a boozy note, I thought it had a rum note but that was in the regular Le Male Elixir. Apparently Davana can smell boozy! I then started to get a tart, slightly sour note which can only be the plum. There’s a light airiness to the fragrance from the lavender and it’s rounded off with the sweet tonka bean and benzoin. It’s very nice, well balanced, not super thick. Fruity, sweet, a bit boozy, light and airy.

Let me tell ya, this is the best thing I have smelt in my life, I am currently testing this and I sprayed it on my hand it smells magnificent. The plum, the honey, the cinammon it all blends together really well. My brother says this is average but for me this is a masterpiece.

The best out of all he Le Males ever released. Fruity, modern and strong. Keeps smelling like Le Male, you can tell right away, but it's leveled up to being intoxicatingly good by today standards.

it have the same backbone as teriaq intense but for me teriaq is superior in every aspect

I don’t see why some people don’t like this, it’s a very good fragrance. I’m a big fan, although I don’t exactly smell the plum. It’s a dark, complicated fragrance great for attracting attention. Not great for summer but still useable.

The opening has a strong iris accord; and I know this doesn't have iris, but apparently the ionones interacting with ambrette, lavender, tonka bean, and benzoin mimics a high-end iris accord. Alongside it is a camphorous, aromatic undertone with some spice and thickness. In the drydown, that iris-like accord pulls back and it becomes very sweet and caramelly. I personally wouldn't wear a fragrance this sweet, but I can appreciate the perfumery. ✅Great
