justin bieber was my first boyfriend who wasn't my boyfriend, and this perfume made me feel delusionally close to him. it encapsulates his signature purple shade into a scent. cute and nostalgic.
Smells like my first heartbreak. Like high school, like waking up at 5am every day, like skin-tight skinny jeans, like straightening my hair without heat protectant. I wore this perfume for years, but now a single whiff nearly sends me spiraling. Ugh. Also smells just like Viva La Juicy. Sticky, perfumey, fruity-floral. Pleasant. Pretty. I gave my bottle away to free myself from the shackles of this fragrance, now I'm free (but why do I still miss it...)
"Nostalgia," considering the two Greek roots of the word, implies a transrational acceptance of a paradox. "Nostos" (home) identifies the return to that penultimate place of myth—the past—making an Odyssey through memory's utopia and resurrecting the kindred which has dispersed through lines of descent. "Algia" (longing) is "enamored by distance," and does not hold the past as tenderly as it does the present displacement, exile, and fragmentation from that mythical figure of memory. It is well known what power the olfactory sense holds over memory; the limbic system is uniquely bestowed with a highway to the hippocampus, allowing scents to evoke vibrant, emotional, and long-forgotten memories. Fragrance enthusiasts such as ourselves, then, must have a certain affinity and aptitude for nostalgia—infatuated with that interstice between recalling and returning to the past. I started buying perfumes and learning about their intrinsics after both my grandparents died from Alzheimer's disease. I've tried to be frugal, but I can easily see a fragrance as a worthy investment: wearing it consistently for a season; letting its scent linger on hair, clothes, notebooks, a lover's skin; saving a small pool in the bottle for the day in which I try to wrap my mind over all my years. Nostalgia, my beloved toothache. My last years of childhood are based in vanilla, a note as comforting as a well-worn baby blanket; many years later, though my olfactory appetites reflect different memories, I will continue to lend vanilla a winking eye. Jasmine, which grew so sweet in the summer sun of my childhood home's side-yard, will always enchant me. Pear, even before I learn how to pick it out, will be a note of continuity in all the fragrances I enjoy. These notes haunt me, impressed on my skin like a reminder but not remembrance of the girl I once was—a mere ghost of memory—the presence of scent in the absence of self. Anne Rice reminds us, "real hauntings have nothing to do with ghosts...they have to do with the menace of memory." Do you think it was a coincidence that one of the wise men gifted Jesus frankincense? Gold for wealth, myrrh for health, and frankincense for bargaining with memory's dealth. Do you think when Jesus was convicted by Pontius Pilate he caught a whiff of the honored man's fragrance and momentarily thought of the manger? When I am on my death bed, bring me this fragrance. It is one material thing which contains a thousand tender emotions. In the words of Louise Gluck: "We look at the world once, in childhood. The rest is memory."
This takes me straight back to my childhood, and I love it so much, it gives me happy nostalgia. I used to wear all the JB perfumes back then but Someday was my favorite. A year ago I decided I wanted to buy it again for the nostalgia, but since it’s discontinued and rare nowadays, I couldn’t find it anywhere. Now I found the right places to look and managed to find somebody selling a big bottle of this in 2025 for cheap! And after I got it I’m so happy because it still smells just as incredible, and the scent hasn’t changed. 😭🩷
Found this in my childhood bedroom… Instant Nostalgia!! I got it for my birthday in 2012 or so but I never wore it much because I preferred Viva La Juicy. I couldn’t find that tiny sample bottle but my quest will continue at Christmas.
I loved this perfume as a tween and In 2020 I got a sample of it for nostalgia reasons... I recently got to smelling sweet like candy and it smells almost exactly like someday!!!! Maybe like 90-95% similar...... If you'd like to smell something similar that's currently being sold I'd definitely recommend it.
I got this for my birthday when it came out because I was a loyal JB fan back in the day. The bottle was real cute but I found it was a little difficult to close sometimes. While I did find that it smelled pretty good, I realized that fruity florals weren’t my forte. Also I didn’t remember it lasting super long on me. Unfortunately it was treated as decoration or a room fragrance. All that being said, I’m still glad that I got it :)
Ugh i miss this. Lovely sweet perfume, i wore it a lot in high school. Very hard to find as it was discontinued
I don’t care how old I get, I will always love this fragrance. Very sad that it’s been discontinued but I managed to find a (NOT CHEAP!) bottle on eBay so I scooped it up with a quickness. Viva La Juicy is VERY similar to it but not EXACTLY like it. Someday is better. Kinda sucks that it’s affiliated with Bieber but oh well. I ain’t ashamed lol.
I love this fragrance. It's a fruity, syrupy scent, and has great projection. I can smell it on me throughout the day! It also lasts an entire workday. The scent reminds me of Jimmy Choo's Fever (plum note), and Katy Perry's Meow (pear note).
Oh my god! This is high school, I'm back in high school. What a throwback. Just an inoffensive, highly generic fruity floral. I have no issues with it, but the scent memory is so strong that I can't possibly wear this.
Justin Bieber's perfumes for women were all soft and pleasant, and Someday is no exception. It's a shampoo-ey, fruity floral that fades to a sweet, pretty vanilla musk after an hour. I wouldn't spend a lot of money to get it now, unless you're a fan, but it was my go-to choice for when I would go out at night to see a band or dance, knowing I'd be sweating and standing in close proximity to others for hours. It was guaranteed to keep me smelling sweet, fresh and clean and not offending anyone who might be in my personal space while I danced, screamed conversations over loud music, and tried to drink a cocktail without getting it spilled all over me. Great memories! I'm kind of bummed that Justin Bieber doesn't do fragrances any more, because his were some of my favorite celebrity scents. If you're looking for something similar today, I'd try Viva La Juicy sprayed with a light hand, or Ariana Grande's Sweet Like Candy perfume or body mist.
Smells like an Avon/Oriflame perfume but can't remember which one. Yeah....pretty basic, floral, fruity, nothing outstanding. Cheap smell
I feel like this is a basic scent. Smelled it a million times. Got a recent sample. It’s a fruity floral perfume.
Not bad! The fruit is juicy and sweet. The florals are fine but a bit plastic-y. The base notes seem like spicy amber to me. Good for people who like fruity ambers. Great for younger people.
My favourite perfume ever due to the fond memories and special events associated with it. Friends associate me with this perfume to this day which says a lot lol. At 13, 23, 33 and so on I will continue wearing this scent for life - if I still had a bottle! I wish they sold dead stock of someday in the discount stores near me. Waiting for the day I reunite with this iconic and very special perfume someday (ha)
Forever a favourite. So nostalgic and takes me back to a better time
Apart from the vanilla I don't get any of the notes. Maybe a hint of spiced pear? Sillage and lasting power are very modest. The bottle is kitschy-cute with the rubbery flower top.
Had this when I was younger and loved it. Bout a 10ml for old times sake. I still love it, sweetness, citrus comes through on first spray. Dry down, musk comes through. Fun, cheap and an easy wear for me. Lasts a decent amount of time too, and good silliage.
The smell is gorgeus but no matter how much I overspray, it lasts very little on my skin.
I got this when I was very young, I would say around 9 or 8. Back then I would only wear it for special occasions because I thought it was way too precious to wear on a daily basis. Now I really couldn’t care less. It smells very juvenile and it’s not unique at all. My bottle is almost full even though I’ve had it for over 10 years. It is pleasant but not something that I see myself wearing daily. 6/10
i bought this back in 2011 when it first came out and i honestly don't remember much but the initial scent. definitely made with a young audience in mind, but could certainly be worn by anyone. a clean, fruity scent. fairly light. bottle is pretty too, that was my only motivation for buying it back when i did.
This is SO much better than BBW frags and is noticeably higher quality than you even find in modern luxury houses like Tom Ford. Even Chanel has become increasingly watered down and synthetic. Price doesn't necessarily correlate with quality. This scent isn't terribly memorable, but it's sweet, pleasant, and pretty universally flattering. It doesn't seem to change much based on chemistry or what you're eating like. I miss the days when Body Shop and BBW sold this level of quality while still targeting the young market. Nowadays they stink and you can smell someone coming a mile away. Thank God masks are still normal to wear. As for the notes, to me there's an indiscernible floral bouquet, but the pear and vanilla are most present. Luckily those are two of my favorite notes in perfumery. If you're on the fence on trying or blind buying, it's worth it for the price point and since it's so pretty, you'll probably be pleased. This doesn't set of my crazy allergies or those of anyone I know, so it's probably work safe. Don't spray more than once though because it's stronger than you'd think. The drydown is equally pleasant and reminds me a little of the drydown of Hanae Mori Pink Butterfly, Avon Vanilla Soft Musk (vintage early 90s formula), Aquolina Pink Sugar, or early 90s Charles of the Ritz if that helps. Honorine Blanc did a good job with this one. I have a lot/hate relationship with some of her creations, so that always gives me pause, but this is quite nice! I'd much prefer teens and tweens wear the likes of this than BBW. (Things that smell that noxious have to be bad for your body/pets/environment somehow.)
Someday was one of my first perfumes I got when I started collecting. After I used it all I thought I was just getting too old for it. I smelled it again at a store and bought it off the internet again lol! When I smell it the first thing that pops up is that it smells like a better version of Viva La Juicy. I definitely smell the top 3 notes the most with the floral notes vanilla and musk ending. It literally smells like Viva La Juicy but a bit more fruiter and overall just better. Love this fragrance for simple everyday wear or work. Some people have told me it's a bit overwhelming so don't spray too much. But this is a classic in my opinion. It stands out in the category of fruity, sweet celeb fragrances.
''Someday'' is a beautiful light, fruity and sweet perfume that I love. I can smell the red berries, the mandarin orange and the vanilla. It's such a beautiful, light, innofensive scent that I think a lot of people will love as i think that it is a crowd pleaser.Unfortunately I read online that it is discontinued..... Anyway.... It's a safe blind buy for someone who likes light perfumes. It smells very similar to Justin Bieber ''Girlfriend'' but Girlfriend is more fruity, to Nicki Minaj Pink Friday and it is quite similar to Radiance as well by Britney Spears but not so similar. Radiance has something unique, but i wouldd say that they are in the same family. Very close. Unfortunately it doesn't project at all and it DOES NOT LAST AT ALL on me so I have to spray a lot and very often!! I even have body mists that last longer than Someday!!
Justin Bieber’s Someday is one of the best celebrity fragrances that I smelled. I had the original bottle and I brought the perfume oil version twice, I love the sweetness of this fragrance.
I was wondering why i am not a fan of initial spray, but really really like the dry down. Looks like it is a pear note in the beginning. This was the reason of me selling Katy Perry's Meow. So much pear in Meow, was not worth keeping it. But this one is way better. So i am keeping it, but selling the back up bottle.
Justin Bieber Someday: It's more for the teen crowd, but I really like it. A little sweet but not overbearing and has nice silage. Picked this up at a discount store for $5, pretty good deal!
