How very ....attractive. This starts out as an unabashed celebration of flowers, not too powdery despite that iris/orris note. Yes,later the musky, woody, vanillic amber at the base rises up in grandeur, ...but the delicate complexity of floral sweetness yet remains. Yes, this does remind me of Samsara, ...but many beautiful things remind me of Samsara.

Agreeing with other people here: It smells like your (and my) mother. If a perfume could be described as perfect, this would be it. Neither too strong nor too light, doesn't induce a headache, notes are all mingling together without anything screaming through or punching your nose. In the bottle it smells like a good whisky. On the skin, it gives a bright, soft, orange smell that is almost creamy- kind of like the smell of a silk shirt, in a way? It also gives a cinnamon-ish underbody to it, but in the sugary sweet way instead of overly spicy. I enjoy it immensely. It's a good perfume for most any situation and usually lasts you a good few hours. Weirdly enough, it pulls like cucumber and baking soda in some cases.

It smells like my mommy :-)

Ambery iris. The scent is radiating like a setting sun. The scent is solar and spacious. Ambery particles carry the slightly carroty scent of iris and buttery ylang. Gardenia adds a certain creamy bitterness. A drop of tuberose is also present. I don't know if I feel orange blossom - maybe it adds the solar feel. The scent does not feel particularly floral. It is a new quality out of the parts. I cannot believe such beauties get discontinued. It is such a unique scent and the bottle is so cute, I am happy I still have it. In a way, it was Lancome's J'Adore.

The ylang ylang hits my nose first. This fragrance is sharp grandmother's bathroom purfume. If you do not like white florals you'll hate it. As it dries down some of that patchouli and amber starts to come through. I can easily see skin chemistry throwing the delicate balance of this fragrance off. On my skin its refreshing while still having a musky flair.

I bought a miniature from ebay. The opening is quite weird, but I love it weird. In drydown it keeps the weird, unique note, but soft musky, woody, even a bit sweet notes come to friend it. Nice, like but not love.

Анонім★★★★★

It was a classy soft perfume, remember I loved in 00-ties. Pity it was discontinued by lancome, they could make different flankers of it instead of plane Idole and LVB....

I hope my bottle is off, because this is truly horrible. Sharp, cheap cleaning fluid smell. Have scrubbed my wrist 3xs and I can’t get it off, so I guess at least the sillage is good. Ooph.

I cannot get the hype, honestly Weird smell which is way appealing, but mostly repulsive It is never a safe blind buy and, moreover, there is smth ruining the composition And I don't know what it is, because separately l love all the notes listed Gardenia? That weird mossy hint somewhere in the background, but yet quite disturbing to enjoy the composition However, I am not even sure the pyramid listed here is fully correct.

I imagine a classy lady, dressed in an elegant silk blouse in muted colors, her hair pulled back in a sleek bun, very polite, polished and with a soft attitude, wearing Lancôme Attraction (LA). On my skin LA is mainly a mild, powdery floral. The most prominent flower in the opening is orange blossom, but soon the iris takes over and is very sophisticated despite being demure. It also has a very clean and slightly soapy air to it from the white musk, which leans a bit synthetic towards the dry down as the woods start to show up. I find LA lovely to use for bedtime in Spring. It feels great on clean warm skin under clean linen bedding; very relaxing, feminine and sophisticated. The performance is on the weaker side of moderate for me.

I ALMOST really like this. Looking at the notes, it's something I thought I would love (blind buy). I bought a used bottle that is about 3/4 full. It looks perfectly good, no darkening of the juice, no sediment. I did my usual several sprays in the air to clear the nozzle of any stale perfume left behind after letting it settle for a few days. Because this was a blind buy, I can't say with certainty that this smells as it should, but the cedar and perhaps the patchouli are too prominent on my skin. I think that the iris - which I usually love - is pulling woody as well. I keep waiting for some creamy gardenia to break through and soften it, but never really get it. In time, the cedar/patch calms down and the florals peek through and it becomes prettier. Daniela Roche Andrier is one of my favorite noses, particularly because she is the "Queen if Iris", but in this case, I'm glad that I didn't pay through the Nose for a full bottle. I feel a bit disappointed! I like it, but can only see me wearing it as a bedtime scent. Silage, projection, and longevity are all moderate. Needless to say, I will not be searching for a backup bottle.

Lancome Attraction is a seriously underrated perfume. It does not really smell like any of the listed notes, they are all blended together so much that it just becomes it's own new thing. Very sophisticated. Manages to strike a balance between something you have smelled before and something very unique. This smells the way I imagined a classy lady would smell (back when I was in my early twenties anyway. These days it would be something a bit different) Hypnotically beautiful. If you can get your hands on a small bottle, do it... this could be worn in any season for any occasion. A gorgeous classy woody floral. Like real gold or diamond jewelry that is dainty enough to be worn daily.

A mature, sophisticated perfume. Your personality needs to match with this one. Smells expensive.

This was my signature scent for a number of years in the 00's and now it´s gone! Why! Soft and sexy sophisticated and chic. You can never go wrong with Iris, Musk and Cedar. Please please please, bring this scent back.

This has got to be the basic bitch of perfumes. It kind if reminds me of coco mademoiselle but there are other perfunes way more similar to mademoiselle than this one is.

I needed to wear this a few times yesterday and last night in stages together; fresh, drydown, basenotes...because I admittedly don't have a lot of experience with perfumes like this. It's really lovely and makes me feel that things are bittersweet because they'fe changed. I too like others here, have the impression of a successful, confident woman who knows her direction. However, she *was* that way until she happily went into retirement and now hosts the best gin rummy nights in the best neighborhood in the county once a week; has 4 beautiful grandkids, and has a modified Chinook van to go glamping in Pedernales Falls. She's a woman with a golden heart, but she's not *sweet*. The iris is quite intense and honestly, it challenges me. Geranium isn't listed, but it smells slightly like my bottle of essential oil does, along with the soothing presence of ylang ylang. I struggle for a few minutes with this until it settles into it's amazing heart. To me, the middle and drydown smell like "laundry, but elevated"; very, very clean with some woodiness. Overall, extremely interesting and unique when compared to fragrances of this time. Composed, clean, confident "grown up" florals with wood. See if they have samples of this at your Lancome counter! The lady chuckled one into a baggie for me along with Idole and LVEB. I probably never would've had this on my radar otherwise.

I love this perfume! Smells so sophisticated and chic. Please Lancome, bring it back. We need this perfection! I want to smell like a woman, not like a school girl like most of new fragrances offer. I want to feel the richness of this fragrance everyday and to smell like a fine lady. Enough with childish fresh fragrances or fragrances which make my head to ache when I smell them. We need the core, the middle, the smell of a real woman.

Just scored a full 3.4 bottle from a woman who used to work for the brand. OMG I absolutely LOVE this. You know why? Because it does not smell like anything else out there. It has a beautiful woody floral scent, something a powerful woman may wear to her job as President at a Law Firm or a Bank lol or someone like me who loves and enjoys to smell great. After it dries and is on for a bit I get a whiff of the musk which is the "attraction" part! Wow, such an amazing scent. Why do they always discontinue the great ones?

Анонім★★★★★

I don't understand all the negative reviews! I just received a mini of this from another member (Thanks Barentonwithaba) and I think it's a real nice, classy/classic, type Floral. Someone mentioned a similarity to EA 5th Avenue and yeah, I could see that. It smells like a rich lady. lol Anyway, I'll be nursing this mini for when I wanna feel special.

Анонім★★★★★

It's a pleasant but boring vintage-ish sweet floral smell. Laughable sillage and longevity. I can't recommend it for that reason especially for the fact it's discontinued and it's not cheap/easy to find at this point.

I had this perfume unopened for several years and kind of forgot about it. The last few days l got really curious about my virgin bottle, checking this website and felt the itch to break it in... On paper it looks good but my experience is... A crushing disappointment. The first spray was fine. A warm amber, citrusy, sweet orange blossom smell, and then something powdery and a soapy smell. I am become hyper aware that I'm being assaulted by white Musk. It isn't the sensual kind. It's extremely fresh, and clean, evoking Laundry detergent powders and air freshener. I also smell a hint of Rose and woody patchouli. A soft powder note is detectable, l assume it's iris. At first sniff it's tolerable. The perfume is something generic yet not basic, a variation of the fragrances used to scent free soap bars my mother swipes from her hotel stays. I tried it again and l cannot stand it. The Musk is way too overpowering and thus off-putting. Really synthetic. This is not for me. I favour rich, warm, sensual Oriental/florals. This fume is almost sterile, really steam cleaned ("fresh", "clean"). To me this is blech and potentially headache inducing Note: The batch code indicates it was manufactured in 2004... This is probably my first “vintage” perfume, 13 years old. Since this perfume has so much strong white musk in it, l toyed with the idea of keeping it around to freshen up my laundry. For example, spritzing it directly on some hand laundered clothes. Instead l gave it away to my mom Update: l decided to be brave and try it on my skin after a warm bath. I spritzer it just once on my neck. The sharp, fresh musk still scares me, but it did settle down from the warmth of my skin l guess. For some reason it gets a fruity nuance, sort of tangy, apple or pear-like (how did this happen?) floral smell with an underlying sweetness. Overall this is an unabashedly feminine perfume. Because of its freshness, when used with a light hand, this could be a lasting daytime perfume. The base of the fragrance is so classically Oriental, it makes the composition has an opulence to it almost. I think the age range for this perfume is very wide--just like "Lovely" by Sarah Jessica Parker it can be worn by women from "seventeen to seventy".

Beautiful scent, although does not leave a tail. Tuberose but calmed down, musk, iris and gardenia. These beautifully combined notes give the skin a nice, warmth effect. This fragrance is not kiler one, but it has a sensual charm, durability good sometimes 4 hours, sometimes 6-7 hours, I do not know yet what it depends on. I have a 30ml EDP. Really pleasant, not screaming one, not boringone, safe fragrance.

Got a hold of one bottle of Atraction two weeks ago, and I have used it almost every day for work since then. First I was a bit disappointed, as I didn't find the scent anything special. But then it grew on me and now I really like it. It is a warm, elegant and sophisticated floral. Very well bended and sooo feminine. Safe both for office and for private occasions. I would categorize it in the same league as EA's Fifth Avenue. Safe and feminine. I am surprised that some reviewers say it's strong. For me Attraction is a very subtle perfume, that can never offend, even if sprayed a tad too much. I think it can also be a cosy "mommy-scent", symbolizing comfort and cuddles. A definite keeper.

I used to wear this scent in my late 20s about a decade ago.... It was before I started discovering niche perfumes... On me it was yellow flowers which turned into animalistic notes.... It lasted forever.... Even after I thought it was gone I felt on my clothes for days and it was very soft and innocent towards the end. Fierce animal was tamed... I always felt sexy and confident while wearing it. Then I've fallen in love with Crystal Flowers by Montale and forgot about Attraction EDP. Recently I ran into almost empty 100 ml bottle of Attraction in my old perfume collection. As soon as I applied a couple of sprays on each wrist my memory took me back into more than 10 years ago and all the fun I used to have then. Many reviewers said that this scent is very classy, elegant and feminine... I couldn't agree more. But it's not for wallflowers. Attraction is for a confident lady who is not afraid of being noticed and admired. After I smelled it once again tomorrow I might get another bottle of this powerful men magnet....

I first bought this perfume at least 6 years ago... I so much loved it that I did not want to use it a lot and kept it for special occasions..Was a bad idea, became smelly. Now I sow this lovely perfume for sale at a friend and no doubt, I had to buy it again! :) I am in love with this fragrance, this is a very elegant, sweet and sophisticated piece! Strange, I strongly feel the honey in it, although I don't see this note in any of the descriptions. Love at first sniff! :)

Received it today, bought it on web, an old but non-used bottle. No strong projection, weak sillage, no great longevity, but the scent is really great. If it were thicker! A pitty it was discontinued.... Edit january/2016: I told I bought and old bottle. So, i saw 3 days ago that the liquid turned. There are a lot of crumbs and residues in the juice (dust I guess?).... Really weird. The scent itself (the smell) has not changed, so I decided wear it 3 months in a row, straight, until finish it. I don't want to lose it.

Анонім★★★★★

This is a very feminine, very sophisticated, and expensive-smelling scent whose composition renders it to be a very unique perfume. In fact, i think one of the reasons it could've been discontinued is that it's the complete opposite of the types of scents that became popular on its heels and are the current trend: sweet and gourmand scents. Perfumes like this one are in its own category and just aren't made anymore. This fragrance does give a vintage feel, as someone else mentioned. Very much ladylike, vaguely citrusy, but also unmistakably and very unapologetically floral and musky. This isn't a scent for young girls. Even in my early thirties, i sometimes still hesitate to put some on as i have to feel like i'm dressed a certain way and in a certain confident and world-wise mood to pull this one off. And while it's white floral, it packs QUITE a punch. One too many sprays could render you dizzy as it is extremely sharp upon initially spraying and lingers that way for a brief period of time. It's powerfully sweet, but not in a sugar-sweet, saccharine way. It's more like... a musky sweet that can overload the senses. Anyway, it isn't an "old-lady" smell, as some less polite people would put it. It can just be so strangely robust, despite being a white floral perfume. Perhaps it's due to the very wide array of floral essences in this, combined with the musk. Either way, this is very much a day-time perfume, despite its strength. It doesn't smell seductive or sexy enough for me to want to wear it at night. But regardless of when one chooses to wear it, it smells undeniably pricey and extravagant. My mother gave me a gift set of this perfume that came with the lotion right before it was discontinued. I was still in my very early twenties then and did NOT like it at all. I shoved it in the back of my perfume cupboard and only recently dug it out and decided to give it another try. I can't stand the first several minutes of wearing this. The white floral and musk overwhelm me. But when it settles and dries... that's when the magic of it can be enjoyed in small doses. One has to be patient with it. And perhaps with this being such a fast-paced world full of instant, synthetic, aromatic gratification, the fragrance was quickly dismissed. I finally feel like i am old enough and confident enough to occasionally pull off wearing this one, and while i do not wear it every day, and most times, not even every month... i don't think i'd ever part with it. It's so singular and different from anything else i have. This is the type of fragrance that you're either gonna love or hate. But if you're looking for something different from the seemingly endless array of sweet gourmand perfumes that seem to be a dime a dozen AND want to feel like a feminine, diamonds and pearls, skirt-wearing lady, then you might wanna give this one a sniff, if you can find it. I do think it's a gem on the right person with the right chemistry and attitude.

Анонім★★★★★

Meh. It's a nice enough smell, not like some of the sugary sorts these days, fairly classy and not overdone on any particular note (gardenia usually sparks headaches in me but this passed the test.) But it's neither long lasting on me or strong. It lasts all of about a hour and I have to really give it a good huffing to really smell it. I have a 30ml bottle I got for a steal but won't lament it when it runs out. Wish I could find the love and adoration other seem to feel for this. Update: I'm such an idiot, I sold this just as I was realising how awesome it was. I miss the musk underlying that just felt both erotic and cozy so much.

Анонім★★★★★

Please please :-) I want it again in stores... This is one of best fragrance....

Анонім★★★★★

I don't know about you guys, but this one is giving me a vintage vibe all the way. It's thick, rich and extremely longlasting. Smells classy and expensive. The combination of musk, iris and gardenia is really sexy.
