For me this smells like powdery and raspberry Very girly and elegant without been to much
This is one of the fragrances i just can’t spray in my collection, gives me a headache and very cloying (i enjoy almost all kind of scents unless if rose heavy) but this is just badly done or i have an oxidized bottle it’s sharp fruits in a very medicinal metallic way it makes me gag every single time, think of a plastic cheap synthetic rose when it gets dusty yup that’s what you get!
Yes smells a lot to rashberry and rose Very charming smell smells like a love potion
I’m disappointed. I have been wanting to try this in forever, but could never find a sample. I’m getting a sharp, medicinal, raspberry cigarette smell mixed with plastic. I get something similar from Burberry Goddess Parfum and La Vie Est Belle L’ Elixir. I’m not fond of it. I’ll let it mature until the fall, but may end up selling. Not blind buy safe. Glad I didn’t spend too much. Save your money, buy Angel Nova or Ralph Lauren Romance Elixir. Much more blind buy safe.
I honestly love this scent. It lasts really long on me and smells so beautiful. At first, it feels fresh, then you start noticing a soft spice that makes it a bit mysterious. It even has this slightly dark, cool vibe, which I find really unique. There’s also a small hint of sweetness that balances everything out perfectly. For me, it’s truly a masterpiece.
I was deeply saddened & frustrated with the discontinuation of Stella by Stella McCarney but then I found Tresor Midnight Rose , while not identical they are similar enough to satisfy my nose…. I love how clean & fresh yet vintage the rose comes out with Midnight Rose… very classic gothic style but with enough whimsy to keep me interested… I need another bottle..🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💕
This is my favourite out of the Trésor collection. It is floral, green, and fresh. I wear it in any season and any time of the day.
I was attracted with a flacon and wasn't dissapointed by perfume, however smells to me bit average. Juicy at beginning: syntetic raspberries with jammy rose, then strong blast of currant. Although jasmine note is elegant, nicely combined with peony, it is drown in sweet musky-vanilla base. What is alluring, is mature, peppery aura of this fragrance. It has some depth after hour of wearing. I belive it can support confidence and sensuality if there is match with the wearer. It would not be me, but... :-)
i ended up giving this perfume to my mom, and it's wonderful on her! the rose really comes through, and coming from someone who wildly dislikes rose, it's very pleasant especially with the sweetness as well... unfortunately, this smells like a hospital on my skin, chemically medicinal.
It is so nostlgic so beautiful so raw so realistic when it comes to the flowers So preeeeetty and feminine The og dna is there The raspberry vanishes and the florals remain Such a a nostalgic heaven And it is not suffocating at all It is elegant and sexy anduplifting and for today sth unusual and unique. Funny how back in d day when it came out- I found it too floral too raw and too vintage! And now I find it insanely appealing! Just as well I used to find the og red cap dolce too vintage and now it is my signature. Funny how nose evolves into sth more mature and more floral.
Too faint, too rose, too boring for me.
Spray it on top of Tresor Lumineouse- and bang you are in heaven. In a French heaven of elegance romance retro vibes, jazz, joy and happiness and freedom.
One of my all time classic FAVS!! Longevity is a 10 out of 10 and it’s so sexy, sweet and juicy! Great for a winter on those cold nights out, but I technically wear it anytime of the year when I feel for it m. I keep this one in my collection, indefinitely.. the only thing it’s not as easy to get as it used to be.
I was intrigued by a sample I got in a beauty store years ago. Not usually a fan a floral woody musc fragrances, but I ended up getting a small beautiful bottle because of its sweet scent that felt different and mysterious to me. I generally enjoyed wearing it, but on occasion if oversprayed it was too sharp for me and the kind of perfume that gives me a headache. Very elegant fragrance anyway.
Can't understand it's popularity. The original one - Tresor in Love - was tender and beautifully powdery, but this one is a very sharp and cheap smelling compote.
Soooooo sexy, maybe a bit too sexy but I don’t mind. Mom gave me her second bottle and I went through it like water I kid you not. Such a pretty date scent. Too sweet for summer but great or every other season.
I’m sorry. I’ve tried several times. It smells like cheap cigarettes and every older woman I’ve ever smelled at a bar. I cannot get past the cigarette smell! What is it? Why is it dominant?
Everything I've tried in the Tresor line has been a love so far, and this is no exception. I feel like the bottle tells you almost everything you need to know about this fragrance. It's dark and sultry, with the soft and sweet rose feeling as if it could be no other color besides purple. The raspberry and cedar notes blend expertly with the rose to create depth and interest. But there also definitely jasmine and peony here, making it a floral that goes beyond simple rose. While it works in warmer weather, it comes alive in colder weather, bringing its own warmth. This would be a great date night scent.
This is not the fragrance for the summer. It feels sweet, floral and very peppery, which makes it come across as somewhat dark/mature. I find it very specific hence I only use it on occasion. It took some time for me to get used to it. It performed super well in December, my friend sprayed herself with it whilst on trip to Rotterdam. I own a 30ml bottle so it fit just fine in the liquid plastic bag at the airport.
I wear this from time to time and always get compliments from both men and women. Leans toward feminine but still totally wearable for men. I'll pick up another 75ml before they disappear.
Mmmmm- yum! I’m met with a delicious raspberry and cream accord at the opening. Gentle rose begins to bloom with a warm and gentle pepper note. At the base is a velvety musk and vanilla. I wear this when I’m going on a special night out, I feel so fancy and magical. Of all my perfumes this one is the ultimate date night fragrance. Imagine a masked ball - it’s that enchanting! If it were a colour it would be purple. Midnight Rose is seductive and feminine. Fall in love with her. I am so delighted by this perfume.
Some time ago, I tested this fragrance briefly and didn’t remember it at all. Later, I saw it mentioned by a blogger whose tastes often match mine. She wasn’t impressed and said she just couldn’t get along with it. My favorite note in perfumery is raspberry. So while going through fragrances with this note, I came across Midnight Rose again. I watched the promo clip with a young Emma Watson running through the city at night with violet-burgundy lips, and suddenly I realized I really wanted to try the fragrance properly. I went specifically to a store, sprayed it on, stepped outside… and yes - I fell in love. I went back and bought 30 ml. By the way, I didn’t expect the bottle to be so tiny- it looks visually like 15 ml. The fragrance itself is voluminous, shimmering, playing with me and the wind. I really enjoyed it. It reminds me a lot of Hot Couture by Givenchy EDT (vintage). Honestly, I fell in love with Midnight Rose because of that similarity. There’s one thing: sometimes I catch a hint of “foil” like on new cigarette pack (which doesn’t bother me). It shows all its beauty outdoors - indoors, it hides.
I have to admit, while I do like this perfume, it does not feel very rose-like or flowery to me. Yes, it has that taste of flowers, though it has a very strong citrus-y undertone to me. Acidic, almost. I had first thought that it needs time to sit down at first, but the citrus undertone remains even after a few hours, and while I can appreciate it, it is not what I had initially expected.
Very nice mix of raspberry, cassis and rose. Bottle and the name matches this scent pretty well - elegant, a bit dark, great choice for night out or date. Ps. If enjoy it - I have good news: it’s not being fully discontinued as rumored over the internet. I contacted Lancome and only 75ml is being discontinued, 30 and 50ml will stay :)
This is a very pretty fragrance. It opens up with a sweet and tart raspberry note. It's little bit on the sour side, but it's light and gentle. I can also get a whiff of parma violet sweets? But I think it's the rose and peony interacting with the musk that gives off that illusion Overall it's a lovely fragrance. Inoffensive with a slight edge. Trésor Midnight Rose is like if Flower by Kenzo had a baby with Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf
It is fit for spring and autumn, possibly even summer but not for winter. Today, it reminds me of Amethyst by Lalique and indeed of a lighter Angel Nova. Rose with thorns like the straw in my version of Midnight Rose. I feel cedar and musk and the impression is tart, the rasperries are currant leaves tinged. It is refreshing. But jammy, sweet, with strong sillage? Never. It is rather a goth teenager.
It smells a bit like vitamin gummies for children.
I managed to get hold of this discontinued gem, it's nice similar to angel nova but not as strong with a tart raspberry. The raspberry is more subdued and I get a lot of the wood. This is not as fresh as nova also. Smells like la nuit tresor mixed with nova but much lighter. Really nice and worth having in my collection though but very similar to other perfumes.
I like the dry-down and it’s long-lasting. Unfortunately I hate the opening. Besides the raspberry note, I smell a weird scent. Something like a musty, rotting leaf pile or maybe the dust bag of a vacuum cleaner. It develops beautifully but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get past our introduction. :)
In some ways this reads of as those violin resins to me strangely. We use this one with mom and it smells different depending on who wears it, and i dont know if it's about the distance or about skin chemistry or something but like I think it smells better when mom wears it but she also says it smells better on me lol. I feel like on me (whether on skin or clothes) its like, resin, sharp and sour, dark but not in a goth way more like blurred and subdued expression of florals and fruits. When mom wears its like rosy, princess-y, perfume-y like there is a "basic" perfume vibe to it even tho i dont mean it in a bad way. I dont think tresor midnight rose is a soft perfume, it has a sharp vibe, like to me it feels like you need to dress sleek wear heels or something even though like musk too is listed. Even tho I like it better when mom wears it I also can like how it smells on me too, I dont have anything so similar to this. But like there are definitely much more rosy perfumes out there whether it's a typical rose perfume or newer ones, I feel like tresor midnight rose is probably meant to be some sort of botanical mix instead of just giving you roses
