For the price point, this is genuinely beautiful. It’s not the most refined or complex iris I’ve ever smelled, but it doesn’t try to be. The iris here is soft, powdery, and slightly soapy - it brings to mind nostalgic bath times and clouds of talc. Clean, comforting, and easy to wear, with a quiet elegance. This would make a wonderful bedtime fragrance as well.

Powdery, light, clean, & musky. It’s very reminiscent of baby powder and gives off the same type of vibe as Chanel n°5. I guarantee anyone would enjoy this fragrance although one thing I noticed that lowkey sounds weird is that in the dry down it kinda smells like nail polish remover blended in with iris and musk but it’s good and I can spray a ton without getting sick because it’s so light and comforting! It’s the kind of fragrance you’d spray on your sheets before lying in them after a shower

This is so dreamy and powdery! Im totally hooked. It actually smells better than Teint de Neige which I love too and better priced as well. I love this o e better though. Projection and sillage outstanding. Lasted on me till I took my shower so about 8 hours. Im going to get some more! Its a win win for any one that love a delicate sophisticated powdery clean smell. Im going to get the body cream too cause why not!

Friend said it smells like soap in a good way, it’s a pretty cute and elevated scent to me

I bought the 15ml version and will repurchase it for next fall/winter! I love the powdery notes of this iris and I even received a few compliments (usually perfumes with my pH aren't noticeable). People could smell it on me for about 2 hours, if they got close. Then it lingered as a sweet vanilla sensation towards the end, which I didn't like as much because I don't like the sweetness of vanilla. There is also White Iris version, which is perhaps longer lasting, but I find it sweeter and it's not to my taste.

Анонім

I think this is beautiful. It is indeed really close to Teint de Neige and Junoon, but to me it's somehow both sweeter and more floral. I love this, and I can tell already that this will be an absolutely staple for me. Price and performance are also absolutely great when compared.

I'm a huge fan of iris and powder but something in this fragrance makes it hard to enjoy, maybe ylang-ylang? This is not a crisp iris and not a gentle powder. I'd say it smells like really old plain soap, in a slightly cloying way. Monstrous longevity so you only need the tiniest bit.

Iris is one of my favourite notes, and I believe my love for it might have started with this one. This type of powdery and sweet iris are hardly made anymore. Modern iris forward perfumes tend to be very earthy, and often paired with ambrette or carrot seeds like Violet Ida. That type of iris is very interesting and beautiful too, but not crowd pleasing at all and often overwhelmes my nose. The opening in L’erbolario’s Iris is very heavy on the sugar note, but shortly after it dries down to this more subtle, powdered sugar with a prominent iris. Which is also the star from top notes to base notes which is a huge plus. It’s fluffy, elegant and sophisticated, without feeling too juvenile. If you’re like me and find aldehydes off putting don’t worry about it here, it’s nowhere to be seen. Great longevity and quality overall! Truly for the iris lovers

So good and addictive if you like powdery scents, dry and sweet but clean and warm. It's long lasting and well mixed. Favorite powdery scent.

I have Teint de Neige EDP, which I love, and I recently bought a small 15ml Iris by L'Erbolario, as well as the body cream and shower gel. In my own personal opinion, the 2 perfumes are very similar, but I would say that Iris is slightly more flowery and sharp, Teint de Neige is more rounded, slightly more refined. However, the Iris body cream is almost identical to the Teint de Neige perfume. I love both: relaxing, powdery, slightly sweet, slightly flowery and comforting 💜🫧🤍

Well, just like most reviews state- it is a clean powdery fragrance with some sweetness to it. The scent is reminiscent of baby powder or baby shampoo, while also giving a slight old school cosmetics vibe, smells of cold cream. Overall, I would call this fragrance comorting and inoffensive, even motherly. I like it, but in my opinion it’s missing some edge. That being said, I think that it is easy to wear, especially on days when you don’t feel like wearing something with a heavy presence. In terms of the listed notes, I’ve got to be honest- I can’t really pick the individual notes out. I get the iris, it’s quite cool here in combination with the aldehydes, some sugar maybe(?), no tobacco though (sadly). I see how this can be an easy reach, likeable, welcoming not overpowering. I imagine a lady sitting at her vanity, fresh out the shower, getting ready, she is calm and takes her time. I would consider this a safe blind buy, as it is a pleasant fragrance, however this is not the kind of iris I was looking for, as I was hoping for it to be warmer. Edit: I couldn’t put my finger on it at first, but now I got it- the opening to me is almost identical to tesori d’oriente byzantium,

Over all not my cup of tea. This is an absolutely and purely cosmetic kind of iris, with a slightly chemical undertone — very perfume-y. It smells like old-school beauty products: face powder, lipstick, talcum, and cold cream — the scent from inside a vintage makeup pouch. Not powdery in the way like breathing in a cloud from a loose powder box, but rather the specific scent of powder from the 60s–70s (or perhaps early 80s). The longevity is frankly impressive; it lingers intensely on the wrist for hours, even after a shower (actually, I could still smell it the next morning). However, the projection is moderate — the fragrance is very reserved, dry, and I’d even say prim. It smells clean and crisp, like a freshly starched shirt buttoned all the way up or a bright white sheet of paper. Perfect for the office — there’s zero playfulness here. Unfortunately, it didn’t bring me any olfactory joy. My associations aren’t with a vintage gem, but with an outdated scent. Over 40 years ago, when I was a little child, this is exactly how my grandmother’s grey-haired neighbors used to smell.

a powder-puffed dreamscape, the feeling of a sigh against clean skin, the brush of quick fingers on purple velvet. Iris is ethereal, calming, and long lasting -- the ultimate powdery fragrance. one needs not spray excessively to be enveloped in the softest notes of iris and vanilla. despite its lasting power, Iris remains soft and unassuming, a memory just out of reach. my ideal bedtime fragrance. at this price point, Iris is a steal, and should be included in every powdery iris lover's collection. i look forward to trying other products in this line.

It is definitely a pretty, well-blended, and very feminine scent. I think it works well year-round, and the quality is definitely there! :) However, PERSONALLY I find it very strong - to the point where it can be overpowering and even headache-inducing. Another issue for me was the powderiness. :(( It was just too much, and I couldn’t get past it. This scent is definitely not my cup of tea however I cannot say that it was bad! If you love powdery florals, you might enjoy this, but it’s definitely not a safe blind buy. I’d recommend testing it first to see if it works for you.

I got the body cream first, based off of these reviews, because I need that more than I need another perfume, but I think I’ll be coming back for that. It’s such a beautiful violet, way more violet than iris. This is what I wanted Indolence to smell like (and I’m still talking about the body cream here) but it’s less soapy and a lot more powdery, which I love. It’s just so dreamy. Really helps with the winter blues. A bonus is how strong it is, it’s said the perfume is strong and the cream’s scent lasts hours on my skin and days on my clothes. It’s also incredibly moisturizing. Worth every penny. Edit: the perfume just arrived. It’s prettier than the cream, less citrus, more floral and blended. I just love it. It may be my most favorite violet scent, surpassing Insolence and Perlerette. There’s something softer about this one, maybe the vanilla and hawthorn, that really makes it for me. Amazing price for quality. Edit 2: A year later and I reordered the cream. It’s such a treat for the harsh winters where I live. So moisturizing and beautiful. Some more thoughts: it’s kind of syrupy. Somehow powdery and syrupy at the same time. I applied it at the gym one time and an outspoken lady said, “someone smells bad!” (There was no one else nearby but me…lol) Another time I was complimented. It’s very sweet and very strong, and not everyone’s cup of tea, but for powdered floral lovers, it’s a must have

Very, very well blended! Musky, powdery and floral. Smells purple. The soapy note is modern. This doesn't smell old in any way. I love the combination of delicious aromas coming from flowers!

❄️✨ A beautiful snowy powder, nearly identical to my beloved Teint de Neige! Snuggly and cozy, perfect for bedtime, and also a favorite of mine during the holiday season. ❄️✨ So many reviewers below also suggested the body cream, which piqued my interest... and now I cannot live without!! Lovely for layering (pairs deliciously with Chanel No. 5) and for keeping hands perfectly moisturized during the chilly months... As nurturing as a mother's embrace. Inexpensive and powerful, both fragrance and body cream are a 10 out of 10 in my book!

Iris is a tough one. I made the mistake of spraying her on the crook of my elbow the first time, she’s very strong. I immediately started sneezing and eventually got a headache. Kind of intimidating the first time, very sweet, very flowery, very powdery. I waited probably a month to revisit. This time I sprayed it on my stomach, one spray. I do like it, it’s comforting and familiar, but unique and also too much at the same time, lol. I think next time I’ll try a spray on my knees as well since I tolerated her this time. Definitely one to spray with caution, could make you or others ill. Edit: I love iris notes, but this one is not it. I’m getting air freshener vibes and a lot of violet. I had my daughter smell it and she doesn’t like it. Test before you buy. Blind buy fail, but I don’t think any of my nieces will like it either so I’ll try layering with other perfumes.

My initial reaction was NO WAY, TOO SWEET! But throughout the day I kept sniffing my arm, and ended up ordering a mini perfume. I read so much about this one prior testing and expected it to be more in vein of Prada Infusion d'Iris, but it goes in completely different direction. Very sensual, feminine, almost grand-motherly. It reminds me vaguely of White Diamonds with the aldehydes and powdery notes. I was actually looking for something similar, so all in all a great coincidence!

Анонім

This is a realllllyyyy powdery scent. Someone said it should be called Violet instead or Iris and i agree. Smells like baby powder or baby wipes to me, which doesn’t have to be negative if you’re looking for something comforting and soapy. Maybe it would smell better layered with a vanilla scented perfume.

Анонім

This should be called VIOLET instead of iris… Beautiful fizzy purple opening. Ylang ylang isnt really noticeable, and if it is, its definitely cleaned up. No indoles present The fizziness remains, and a combination of iris and violet make their presence known strongly. This is definitely a strong perfume. But its not overwhelming or headache inducing to me. It smells vintage and really really wonderful… powdery sparkly and creamy. Its not that sweet all things considered.. it has this natural violet sweetness but i dont get any synthetic sugary syrupy notes which is definitely a plus. I was worried about that at first (because this is a blind buy) but i can safely say the sweetness is kept minimal! The vanilla is present too, but its not a gourmand or play dough like vanilla. Its this dry vanilla pod that remains in the background and adds this really nice dryness. No hawthorn in sight tho.. The end result is a fizzy creamy dry vintage clean powder with a heavy dose of violet. I read the ingredients on the box and it even mentions the Alpha-isomethyl ionone, which is why i consider it a violet perfume. And i really really love violet ! If i had to compare it to something, it would be diptyque’s violette candle and l’heure bleue without the animalic notes and spiciness. It doesnt smell like apres l’ondee but i dont think anyone was expecting that anyway. Theres also this other italian brand that sells iris scented body wash (dermomed) which smells EXACTLY like this. Normally that would be a downside but i really love that body wash so i wont complain. The price doesnt say much about its quality. It smells very natural and realistic and lasts very long AND projects. Very wonderful and delicious To me, its even signature scent worthy. Like its AMAZING i cant stress it enough.. for just 28 euros too!

A pretty powdery iris with vanilla and a touch of aldehydes. Somewhat similar to Teint de Neige. This would make a lovely bedtime fragrance. Very soft and gentle powder, slightly sweet. I really like this brand. All of their fragrances are really nice, pretty but have a homey crafted feeling. Touches of herbs and fairy dust in all of them.

Even though all my 3-4 experiences with L'Erbolario's perfumes have been negative and I can't blind buy from them anything anymore, I just tried the body cream of Iris from the sample and this is very good! Sweet and powdery plus something slightly dark, that's probably the tobacco note although it doesn't smell like tobacco at all.

If you love powdery iris fragrances this is a must have for you! Indeed impressive, long lasting, well balanced composition with an impressive trail that changes over the time. Just finished the bottle and enjoyed every single spritz of it. Fantastic!

Pure powder, very pleasant and impressive perfume. I take compliments each time I wear it, especially from women.

I adore this powdery, embracing, warm scent. It's close to skin, yet I can feel it all day long, and it stays comforting, lingering, bringing joy. It's a classical, elegant fragrance. I truly recommend.

Beautiful comforting sweet Iris, gentle and soft albeit complex. Great value. Wonderful scent. Bottle simple.

very sugary, powdery, vanilla takes on iris; way too sweet but i can put up with this kind of sweetness somehow; long lasting and good value; definitely cause nausea in summer
