This is what fresh and clean smell like!

Aggressive? Yes! Clinic? Yes! Hospital? Yes! Unpleasant, unsettling? Yes, Yes! Black pepper boosted metallic aftertaste on the palate, drying plaster with gauze, broken bones, too much in your face, brutal projection, then black ink, you dont wanna touch that...The drydown is nonetheless usable, when searching for type of rewamped showergell.

For a while, I wondered what the '7' stands for in Loewe's 7. Turns out it refers to the 7 notes the fragrance has, and definitely not the "ingredients" as the brand refers to. However, despite looking decent on paper, 7 EDT doesn't give me nearly enough reasons to love it or recommend it. "A fragrance inspired by the furthest reaches of outer space, a sense of eternal mystery" That right? 'Cause I fail to see how any of that ties to the end result. Now I'll be honest, the opening does have a touch of uniqueness, as far as mainstream designers go. A pretty crisp and juicy apple burst is paired with pepper spice, but also with a predominant clove accord, which is not listed. It's a nice spicy-fresh rendition, which unfortunately doesn't manage to hold up to on the long run. Some incense in the back brings some smokiness to the structure, but also a gentle resinous facet that ultimately settles underneath the Iso E Super base - basically dry, boring cedarwood. The clove x apple combo do manage to stay alive throughout most of the ride, as the fragrance doesn't evolve much or change like a chameleon. It starts off decent, ends up as whatever. There, the "sense of eternal mystery" solved. It would've been something if 7 EDT lasted for 7 hours and had a projection strong enough to earn a 7/10, no? Not the case, though, as it actually lasted longer on my skin, reaching 9-10 hours. Projection was milder, not pushing much off of my skin two hours in, but still being fairly detectable throughout. It turned into a skin scent somewhere around the 5 hour mark. Yes, clove/pepper and red apple is not exactly a very common or mass-appealing sounding team up, but in the air, the fragrance smells just fresh-spicy, without having either the apple or clove/pepper stand out enough to be instantly recognizable. That's on the air and for those around you. Even if that wasn't the case, it's still a very versatile scent for everyday wear. Just not special enough for niche situations. If anyone can give me 7 good reasons for which I should buy 7 EDT, I'll acquire a bottle. But I doubt it's going to happen, as I'm struggling to find any particular upsides of this fragrance. It's not bad per se as a scent profile, but it is quite boring in the end and pretty linear. Doesn't reek of excellent quality either, and it's not cheap enough to cancel all the cons through its excellent value. It goes for around $100 for 100ml, which is not expensive in today's economy, but for the product you're getting, it's far from a bargain too. I'm sure there will be plenty who will like 7 EDT; it's likeable and a little distinct, which is good for people tired of most offerings at Sephora, but not enough for people deeper into the hobby. The opening is pepper with a touch of clove spice. The tartness is more noticeable than the sweetness. That sour edge might come from apple, though I am not entirely sure. Later, incense and cedar bring a dry ashy quality and a slightly astringent woody texture. The scent has a rather firm structure and feels quite dry overall. It is a very typical old school masculine fragrance.

Анонім★★★★★

It smells quite unique, and gives nostalgia— smells exactly like chamoy candy (dried Chinese bayberry berries) or chai tea. Quite low on the longevity aspect, and would easily become a skin scent. Could not smell the apples. But quite woody, very unisex to most people’s noses. And very linear.

Анонім★★★★★

Smelled lovely on paper but reeks of clove on my skin. Very disappointed.

Анонім★★★★★

Why did they change the original bottle? It was superb and matched perfectly with the fabulous aroma of the 2010 fragrance. I haven’t tried the reformulated fragrance but I’m sure is not as good as the new version.

Finally got this recently after looking for a good deal to blind buy this. I was hoping it would replace my slowly dwindling bottles of CDG Incense Kyoto which is a good substitute for my all time fave, Tumulte by Christian Lacroix. The CDG is very close but I get rather poor performance from it. Bon Parfumeur 602 is really close as well and lasts longer than CDG but can be tricky to find. I was not disappointed at all. The first spray instantly hooked me. It's right there with the others I mentioned. Loewe 7 starts with a bit of sweetness and even a touch powdery which threw me off at first, but within a few minutes, bam!, there is that woody, zen-like, intoxicating scent! Definitely not blind buy safe, especially for the younger crowd or folks who like all this sweet crap the industry is pumping out. Went with the lady to Ulta recently and smelled every single men's fragrance they had....and let's just say, it made me yearn for the past. Like I don't even like Drakkar Noir, but I would take it over anything they had short of Luna Rossa Black. I really like Azzaro Visit and understand the comps, but to my nose, that one is just a straight up sawdust factory (in a good way) whereas Loewe 7, and the others I mentioned this being similar to, have some incense or something else so well blended that it's hard to separate the individual notes. Old man yelling at clouds time! I am gobsmacked by how many young dudes I pass smelling feminine as fuck! I'm progressive as hell, but BR540 is not a unisex scent. Bro, you smell like cotton candy. Not to mention all these other vanilla super-dosed "men's" frags. Then again, some dudes like being pegged...oh well.

Анонім★★★★★

Its good, but on my skin it reminded me of 50% cloves 50% cemetery.

Анонім★★★★★

Opening smells like pickles to me 🤷♂️🤷♂️

As I'm reading all the reviews, I feel like I must have received a bad batch. Even after sitting for a few months, all I get is the faintest hint of clove; like they dropped a couple of cloves into a gallon of perfumer's alcohol, let it sit for a few hours, and then bottled it up. I'm bummed about it because I absolutely love 7 Cobalt and Anonimo, as well as Escencia.

I don’t usually comment about design, but this bottle is, I dare say, my favorite bottle design ever. The only thing that tops it is their own Madrid collection. The simplistic yet creative box, The proportions of the TEXTURED white label with the top-centered embossed logo. The wooden cap with the PERFECT clicking sound and feel, The reflective color. For the scent: Pretty unique, dry, transparent sweetness on the opening with a HEAVY dose of dry spice (clove-pepper) and a cedar-like woody base. Pretty good staying power for an EDT. Very airy. Like you took a classic blue scent and transformed it to the dark side (without using amber). Was very surprised on first smell.

Анонім★★★★★

It's certainly different to most designer fragrances. I pretty much get incense and cloves. Smells okay in the air but don't put your nose up to it. If a kind of airy incense is what you want then this is great but I'm not super into it. Edit: by the end of my 2ml sample this had grown on me. If it was a bottle I had bought I would have kept it.

Анонім★★★★★

The sample has a great presentation: they come in a cool metal prism printed with "Loewe". Atomizer is kinda weak. Maybe I'm anosmic to this scent, but even out the bottle, I have a hard time smelling this. I tried spraying a tissue with it, leaving it on my dresser, and then I could smell it when I walked into the room a few hours later. The performance must be decent, but when I wear it I can not smell it at all. Whenever I do catch a whiff, it's heaven. Uplifting, crisp, warm, cozy, soft. Gonna give a dupe a shot to see if I can keep the vibe but get a different performance.

Анонім★★★★★

There must be something going on here with my skin chemistry, because despite being an EDT this lasts all day on me AND I never go smell-blind to it. I got my hands on an official sample from Holt's, and after using that up I had to buy the bottle. So, for me and my purposes, this is an amazing sleeper gem. But your mileage may vary. For the smell itself, I get frankincense, apple, musk, and pepper. The result is self-evidently masculine, but not coarse. The incense isn't particularly smoky; there's no "burning" or "burnt" smell here. The apple isn't overly assertive either. It all just kind of blends together to form a pleasant and unobtrusively sweet masculine musk. Despite having few to none of the elements of a typical "blue" fragrance, this still somehow reads fresh and, against all odds, blue (possibly a subconscious effect of the bottle color). I'll also say, this seems, to me at least, to be one of those rare "4-season" fragrances. It's fresh enough for spring/summer and deep enough for fall/winter. Of course I've so far only tried it in winter so I could be wrong, but that's my current sense. I can confirm that it works well for winter at least. As others have voted, this smells similar to Bon Parfumeur 602 (2016) and Genyum Painter (2018), though neither of those others have the apple aspect present here. Also, Loewe 7 (2010) pre-dates both of them; if they were influenced, then Loewe would be the original. Anyway, I really liked both of those others mentioned, and I also like this. All three of these have a distinct dry woods and pepper core that I personally enjoy a lot. To my nose, Loewe 7 is ultimately more about pepper than it is about incense. And, again, despite being an EDT, this is one of the longest lasting fragrances on my skin that I've tried recently. For me, it lasts overnight if sprayed in the evening, and the full workday if sprayed in the morning. My perception of the longevity probably also has to do with the fact that for whatever reason I don't go smell-blind to this fragrance. Anyway, I really hope the full bottle lives up to my sample when it arrives...

Loewe 7 - important im obsessed with this scent and was my signature scwnt for several yeara From the very begining when this was released the old bottle dark blue ovall shape. I use it all year round almost everyday. And there is not other fragrances that is same Have few but the Churchy incense with the Green Apple and Black paper was the perfect combo foe me. After refornulation they changed the bottle and the scent ao much that its not anymore even close. The iNTEREATING PART. I order this new Bottle befor a month, well 1st this scent ia with poor performance 3-4hrs There is not rhat mysterious churchy incense with the freah cold green apple abd spicy feom the paper. I was so so disapointed because this was class parfume for me. From several yeara i was tryibg to find Alternative of that smell Dupes or other scents that have this feeeling. But i never get thia that i was looking for. Theb i read about a Spanish company Divain and they have it it is Divain 002 I order it asap 100ml bottle and let ne tell you what heppand. In Shoked. I sprey the Original on my Right hand and the Divain 002 on my left hand. They are not close... They are the same from the opening to the drydown. But the thing that shoked me was that the Divain outperforme the Original. Much more stronger and dense about 8 hrs on skin with nice sillage, and remind me much more to the original old Loewe 7 than this new version thats crazy. So Loewe ruin that masterpeace and im happy i found alternative on the same time that cost me 5 time less. Divain 002 and thank me latter.

Tried a tester and the smell was great, but - so I thought - the longevity was quite poor. Then I read below in the comments that bottles from 2023 onwards might be decent again, and found one for a good price. Fresh out of the bottle this 'vintage' performs very well indeed, nothing weak about it. As in, be careful not to overspray. I don't get cloves, but I do get plenty of pepper and incense, some fruity sweetness (not too strong) from the apple accord. To me this is quite unique and smells high quality. I can see it in many situations, except perhaps the high heat (if you have a 'weaker' bottle maybe it would work then too!) Good for anyone bored with current trends as there's not much like it.

A mature, incense-dominant, fragrance. I'm not sensing apple, rose, neroli, nor a few of the other alleged notes.

Анонім★★★★★

Summary: A great, unique, clean, and spicy fragrance that I find myself reaching for regularly. Scent: Opens surprisingly fresh and bright yet rich. I mainly pick up on the pepper with a touch of berry-like fruitiness, as well as the apple. This lingers for a while but is joined by the incense quite quickly. Although many say the incense is intense, I find it very balanced and airy, with the pepper adding to the spicy, smoky richness while the neroli softens it, preventing it from becoming suffocating. As it dries down, it continues to soften as the musk and woods come through, while managing not to lose any of its earlier aspects. Character: This is a sophisticated and refined fragrance — very unique and high quality, yet not overly complex. It gives the impression of someone who is put together. Usage: More of a three-season fragrance for autumn, winter, and spring due to the incense. Although it has a sophisticated edge, I think it can be used anytime and not just in the evening or for special occasions. Definitely signature-scent-worthy. It also balances modern and classic perfectly: not the sweetness of modern blue fragrances, but not the harshness of more traditional masculine fragrances either. Performance: Great initial projection, especially for the first 30 minutes or so, before becoming more moderate. Longevity is decent — it lingers for a while on my skin and clothes. The performance is nothing to boast about but not particularly weak either. I’ve had quite a few compliments with this one as well. Overall: A niche-smelling yet versatile fragrance that, for around £100, is worth it. As always, I recommend trying it before buying, as all scents are subjective. A solid 9/10 for me.

Very natural and gentlemanly smell. It has something majestic an very manly. Loewe 7 clearly is an underrated line.

Анонім★★★★★

I purchased this at Sephora in Spain. I had no idea Loewe made colognes before this, but it's easily one of the best in my collection. I always receive compliments when I wear it. Best for evenings, but really can be worn anytime.

Love at first sniff for me with this one. Loewe 7 is the epitome of a clean masculine blue fragrance. This might be a hot take but this is better than Bleu de Chanel and Suavage. THIS IS NOT A CITRUSY/BRIGHT BLUE FRAGRANCE. I didn’t think I would like this because of some of the notes however smelling this in store was quite the shock. It opens with some smooth pepper and the green apple adds a bit of fun. After 5 mins or so, it becomes this beautiful and relaxed subtle scent that is really calming to my nose. On the dry down I get this slight black licorice vibe that makes it exceedingly unique. While the black licorice is noticeable, I don’t find it to be harsh or synthetic. Realistically this reminds of really clean skin after you’ve gotten out of the shower and the soap has evolved with your skin chemistry. It’s not super loud and it doesn’t last all day (5-6 hours) but when it’s working I’m in love. 7 isn’t a huge compliment puller from my experience but I love to get whiffs of it throughout the wear nonetheless. If I could change one thing, it’d only be to make it last 8-10 hours. Scent: 10/10 Price: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 6/10 Bottle: 8/10 Overall: 9.5/10 (based on personal enjoyment)

I've had a sample for a while and it smells like straight incense. I get a bit of the florals but basically cannot smell anything else besides the incense.

Анонім★★★★★

As with all things fragrance, super subjective. For me this was an offensive, uninteresting, overpowering scent that evoked high-end men's locker room air freshener. I couldn't wait to scrub it off.

Анонім★★★★★

This is a well-crafted, very simple yet cohesive blue fragrance. I don't have the nose to delve into all of the notes but it immediately gives --- blue cologne --- and upon further sniffs and wafts, I notice the fresh, flowery, peppery notes tucked away in the scent profile. The composite is distinct and recognizable. Definitely something a pleasant 40-something optometrist would wear -- not for me, however.

Анонім★★★★★

For santimore user down there, what you perceive is that smell like sweat, it's the musk mixed with the wood, sometimes it gives off an animal smell.

Анонім★★★★★

This is a fragrance I keep testing on myself, to try and understand it, but I just can't. For some reason I perceive a very sharp note of (no kidding) shit, like animal shit. It just intrudes the whole perfum, I get no blue fragrance, no incense, no floral... Just pepper and that one animal shit note...

Анонім★★★★★

Imagine a very beautiful and luxurious aftershower blue fragrance with the most amazing incense note that is not nose cloying whatsoever. It makes you feel like being in the most premium cozy church. So unique. I feel like you either love it or hate it, definitely not for everyone.

Анонім★★★★★

Big fan of this whole Loewe line. Esencia EDT, EDP and elixer, Anonimo, Loewe 7 EDT and elixer and cobalt are all fantastic frags. Theres not one miss! The 7 EDT opens up so peppery and spicy, slowly progressing into this rich smoky and light rose scent while still managing to have some freshness to it due to the light apple note (which can only be picked up from the skin). The performance is very very good. I wouldn't recommend over spraying. With 4-5 sprays you're good to go. I wear this during the shoulder months during the day and evenings. It's not a compliment monster due to it being a quite heavy- and straightforward darker fragrance. I tend to get more compliments wearing more uplifting scents. That being said; when you enjoy peppery and smoky scents this is something for you. Scent: 7 Versatility: 6.5 Longevity: 7.5 Sillage: 6.5 Uniqueness: 7.5

Incredible. Smells like an old Catholic Church and freshly ground nutmeg with some other kinda intoxicating blend of notes that ties everything together extremely well. Very very good. I discovered it by smelling it on 2 different men, months apart. Since it had been on my radar… Tried to find in miami with no luck. Finally found it at the duty free at the Mexico City airport. This to me is a 10/10. Nothing is perfect in this world and I could say something here about how it doesn’t last as long as I want, well of course it doesn’t. That’s not to say it doesn’t last long, it does… but I would love to always smell like this without ever needing to reapply. Amazing fragrance. Truly a gem 💎
