Fresh fruity + mango. Truly a masterpiece. Can’t say much more bc I accidentally sprayed something else over it, but will update review next time

Only reason i bought a sample is because i tested this in the store (and wasn't overly impressed), and was complimented on it, but i couldn't remember what it smelled like, so decided to try again. yes, very similar to hacivat. it is better for me than either aventus or hacivat - but ultimately, too tropical and fruity for me. it's a wonderful smell -- smells like a virgin cocktail --- it's just not the type of stuff i want for myself.

I think some people generalize how close this is to Aventus or Hacivat I wouldn't really say it is a 1:1 + mango take on either one or anything as is commonly generalized. This is way fresher and greener than either one of those fragrances at best you could say this is like a green mango flanker of Aventus it is distinctly its own unique thing but gets close to the same style. The dry down especially you don't get that same kind of smoky birch the spice, suede, and oud create a similar accord that gives an entirely different overall feel to the scent. I like most specifically that this wears lighter than Aventus or Hacivat I think it is slightly more universally mass appealing in my eyes because of that. You would never really feel that you're wearing something overpoweringly hyper masculine which to me Aventus can be situationally inappropriate for that reason. If you want something similar to Aventus that is fresher, greener, with a mango base that is what this is in essence. Not a 1:1, not a replacement, but a well executed unique version of that scent profile.

Very disappointed scent wise very nice But can’t smell it lasts about 1 hour on skin on clothes longer but goes to skin scent so fast no one can smell you let alone smell Yourself very disappointed 10 sprays ain’t even gonna work tries layering with molecules same thing very sad

Aventus if it went more tropical with mango. Better than aventus but the performance is alright, now is it worth it for the money? No not by a long shot if your paying 300+ you need at least 7+ hours longevity with good projection.

Unripened mango with a unique tomato leaf note. Very fresh and sharp, not overly sweet mango fragrance. People always say it’s Aventus DNA, but I don’t really see that. Other than being a fruity masculine fragrance with a tropical fruit as its main note, I don’t really see many similarities. Would recommend if you have the disposable income. At least in the UK, there’s no way to get this discounted unfortunately. It’s long lasting and projects well. A great fragrance for the spring and summer, that also works in early autumn.

I can see the avenutus comparisons but to me this just smells like a juicy mango- it’s not really complex nor all too interesting. I personally wouldn’t wear this just bc it smells so much like a raw mango but it’s a great scent.

Wow! This fragrance is good! I can't lie I own Aventus and seems this is Aventus with an Mango note instead of pineapple but it does it's own thing in it'sown lane. Sheesh this is good!! I can't complain. It plays good in the heat. This can be worn in all 4 seasons especially in the south. Geez this is good!! Its decanter size worthy to me.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I don't have a bottle YET. It puts a tropical twist on aventus and removes the weird dusty mossiness that aventus has. It lasts 8 hours and changes a lot but the projection sucks. I still love it tho and it smells so nice

I own Hacivat and currently wearing a sample of Blockade. It’s nearly identical, in terms of scent profile, how it develops and how it wears on skin. It’s like the end result is Hacivat (plus a sprinkle of mango) even if the ingredients or notes differ in the makeup. The dry down smells so close it’s indistinguishable even to me. It’s so frustrating and so boring that perfumers are given the freedom to create with great budgets and are just cloning fragrances that already exist. Barely anything is original in perfumery these days 🥱

A rare summer fragrance that I love. I've found most Mind Games fragrances to be lacking in the "long lasting" department. But from my short list of favorites from this house, Blockade is the longest lasting. The mango scent cuts through all day, but it retains its balance and smoothness with amber and suede.

Анонім

I can see the comparisons people are drawing, but of all the Aventus-styled fragrances this one leans closer to Perry Ellis America: the mango (rather than pineapple) and bergamot combines to make that sugary Cactus Cooler soda opening, and the mid features a clean lavender that carries it along to the base where it sits on patchouli and amber. Where Blockade sets itself apart is that it's blended very smooth and I don't get any harsh synthetic/chemical scents that America has. It is very nice, but 100% sample it first, draw your own conclusions, and if you still love it try to find the best discount you can.

What can I say about this mind-games masterclass? When I wear blockade, I am transported to a Sunday morning in a Latino household (I'm a Latino, I can say this). My mom just sliced some fresh mangoes for my brothers and me. It is cleaning day, so the white tile floors are lathered in "Fabuloso" (specifically the purple one). All I have to do is breathe and be me. Definitely a compliant magnet and one for daily use. 9 Fresh Mangoes/10.

Very nice opening. The tropical fruits the freshness, very elegant and charming. But unfortunately this scent has a type of synthetic amber/ambroxan/ambrostar that is very harsh and migraine inducing. It's sad, I loved the opening, but it evolves like a hammer against my sinuses. Very harsh amber molecule.

Mangoes and the nature surrounding it. Very nice and good. One of the better ones from Mind Games. One to try if you haven't. There is good mango alternatives out there if the price is scary.

Анонім

Love it. On one hand I don’t really get the constant comparison to Aventus, on the other hand it’s like a more modern Aventus type option. It’s fresher and more youthful. It’s an easy reach. Rating 8.8/10.

This has presence, smooth and effortless.

Such a nice fragrance. I can smell similar DNA to Aventus and yes the juicy mango was good and long lasting on my skins and especially on the shirts 10 hrs + The dry down is very nice green mango and creamy woody in a nice and elegant way not to sweet or overpowering

Not sure where all the Aventus comparisons are coming from -- as an avid Aventus wearer, I really don't get Aventus vibes at all from Blockade. What I do get is something similar to PdM Greenley but without the same synthetic screech as Greenley. A nice fragrance! Juicy and sweet but not cloying. Wearing it today in 85 degree heat and it's all good. A nice scent from Mind Games.

Blockade strikes me like no other fragrance does. It reminds me of PDM Greenley but done right. Outstanding perfume with average longevity on skin.

This fragrance is like the tropical party take on Aventus . I would even say there is a comparison to Pacific Chill with this . I think the scent is lovely . Not much progression - it is definitely a linear sent - although it is a lovely smell to have on your arm for 6 hours . Now the longevity on my skin is absolutely fine, like i said about 5-6-8, hours on skin, depending on the day . The projection on the other hand is absolutely abysmal . Have to, no lie, spray about 20 times for it to project somewhat normally . So for the gargantuan price, that area of the fragrance is a huge disappointment . But all in all, I am a fan . A really really good summer scent .

I sprayed this in one side of my arm and the other Aventus. Man Aventus is soo weak.... This one is way stronger and I like that mango scent that's very addicting..... I need to get this as my signature niche scent!

Анонім

Boys it smells like Aventus. Even explorer and CDNIM will get you basically the same effect or smell. I guarantee no one in real life is going to be able to tell the difference, especially since this DNA is so popular. Scent wise 5/5, I think it's the best rendition of the Aventus DNA, by far. It is nice but not for this price.

Анонім

Very nice job duping aventus for 395$ 🥀

Анонім

This a very good aventus style fragrance if you want more of a mango scent. However, it doesn’t have strong projection at all. You can spray a lot of it without being offensive but that’s not the ideal since it’s a $350 cologne at least.

👇 Look at all the toddlers crying about the tomato leaf. Boo hoo. The tomato leaf is the only thing that gives this scent some character and complexity. If it weren't for the leaf, it would be skittles. This scent is somewhat bordering on the juvenile anyway.

Анонім

This is nasty. The tomato leaf or whatever is way to strong. Gives you that same deep wet nasty moss smell thats in hacivat and it legit doesnt wash off even after multiple washings. Definitely a scrubber

One of the most amazing and unique scent profiles I have ever enjoyed. I think this lineup is superior to Creed 100%. I loved this one so much I always got a testor of it when I would buy something else inevitably cheaper. Smells like a million bucks...feels like it almost costs a million bucks. So is life.

Анонім

Was so ready to shit on this, but this is probably the best Aventus-like out there, at least scent-wise.

This is my new favorite fragrance for the summertime, and I can say without hesitation that I highly recommend Mind Games Blockade. In a world where performance, projection, and longevity often dominate the conversation, this is one of the rare scents that reminds me why I fell in love with fragrance in the first place: the scent profile alone is so addictive, so effortlessly enjoyable, that all those technical details fade into the background. Even if it disappeared after a few hours, I would still reach for it again and again, because what it delivers in the moments when it shines is a genuine 10/10 experience. Blockade opens with a burst of bright, juicy character that immediately sets the tone for warm-weather wear. The star of the show is the mango: not the sugary, artificial kind you find in candy or body sprays, but a fresh, almost green mango that feels like it was just sliced open on a hot afternoon. There’s a slight tartness and a touch of greenness that keep it from ever becoming cloying. It smells like ripe fruit still attached to the tree, surrounded by leaves and stems, rather than a syrupy, tropical cocktail. From the very first spray, it projects a mood of energy, confidence, and easygoing charm. Supporting that mango is a carefully balanced blend of citrus and greenery that keeps the fragrance feeling clean and uplifting. The bergamot adds sparkle and brightness, giving the opening a fizzy, almost sparkling quality, while the tomato leaf note brings a subtle vegetal edge. That tomato leaf is particularly interesting: it doesn’t turn the fragrance strange or off-putting, but instead adds texture and depth. It’s like brushing past plants in a sunlit garden — a very natural, outdoorsy green feeling that blends beautifully with the fruit. The result is a top accord that feels modern, tropical, and sophisticated all at once. As Blockade moves into the heart, the composition smooths out and becomes more rounded, but it never loses its fresh character. The mango softens and becomes more abstract, supported by light florals and aromatic touches that add complexity without weighing the fragrance down. There’s a gentle floral breeze that whispers through the composition, but it never becomes powdery or overly sweet. Instead, it acts like a soft-focus filter over the juicy fruits and green notes, making the whole scent feel polished and seamless. This middle phase is where Blockade really proves its versatility: it’s easy to wear to the office, on a casual day out, or on a summer evening without ever feeling too juvenile or too serious. What impresses me most is how the scent profile manages to feel both playful and refined. Many tropical or fruity fragrances lean heavily into sweetness and can come across as loud, sticky, or one-dimensional. Blockade avoids that trap entirely. The mango here is vivid but controlled, the brightness is balanced by a discreet greenness, and the composition feels carefully constructed rather than thrown together for shock value. It’s the kind of fragrance that turns heads and earns compliments, not because it shouts, but because it smells genuinely appealing and different from the usual blue or overly sweet offerings. Eventually, as Blockade settles into its drydown, the base notes start to emerge and give the fragrance a smoother, more grounded character. Hints of suede, woods, and amber create a soft, slightly warm foundation that keeps the composition from fading away into thin air. Even here, the overall feel stays fresh and wearable, but there is just enough depth to keep it from feeling hollow. The base never overpowers the bright personality of the top and heart; instead, it acts like a gentle echo of everything that came before, wrapping the green-fruity theme in a more mature, cozy layer. When it comes to performance, opinions are often divided, and I understand why: you will read endless debates about longevity, sillage, and whether an expensive fragrance should last all day or project across a room. For me, though, with Blockade, the longevity and projection honestly don’t even matter. That’s how good this scent profile is. The enjoyment I get from the opening and the way it develops on my skin completely outweighs any complaints about how long it sits there or how far it travels. I’m perfectly happy to reapply if I need to, because every fresh spray brings back that incredible burst of green mango and airy freshness that made me fall in love with it in the first place. That, I think, is the biggest compliment I can give Blockade: it makes me stop obsessing over performance and simply enjoy the smell. I wear fragrances first and foremost for myself, and this is one that I genuinely look forward to putting on. It feels like my personal signature for the warmer months — something that instantly boosts my mood, fits almost any casual or semi-formal situation, and never fails to make me feel put-together and attractive. On a hot summer day, with a bit of breeze in the air, Blockade feels absolutely perfect: bright but not harsh, fruity but not childish, tropical but still classy. In terms of when and where to wear it, Blockade truly shines in spring and summer, especially during the day. It’s ideal for outdoor gatherings, vacations, walks in the sun, brunches, or even just running errands when you want to smell fresh and expensive without being overwhelming. At the same time, it can work in more relaxed office environments because it stays relatively polite and never turns into a thick, heavy cloud. If you enjoy the DNA of popular fresh-fruity masculines but wish for something more nuanced, greener, and more niche-feeling, this is an outstanding option. Overall, Mind Games Blockade is easily a 10/10 fragrance for me. It captures everything I want in a warm-weather scent: a stunning and addictive mango-led profile, a touch of greenery and sophistication, and a beautifully blended composition that feels both exciting and easy to wear. Even if it doesn’t perform like a monster on every skin type, the sheer quality and enjoyment of the scent make that a minor issue in my eyes. For summer, it has become my number one choice — my new favorite fragrance of the season, and one I recommend without hesitation. If you love vibrant, tropical-leaning scents that still feel refined and modern, Blockade absolutely deserves a place on your radar. For me, it’s not just good; it’s special. And that’s why, despite any debates about performance, I stand by my rating: 10 out of 10.
