Alien Extraintense

I love all things Alien, and to me I wear it when I want to feel in control yet sexy. I am a man and on me this smells amazing. I get compliments on it pretty consistently. Coincidentally, people ask if it's Alien so it definitely has the same DNA.

Absolutely awful. Oh my God, this smells SO bad. It’s extremely bitter, harsh and heavy, with a stale, musty kind of smell that I find really unpleasant. It’s also incredibly intense and overpowering. Definitely not for me. I’m honestly so glad I only had a sample and didn’t buy the full bottle. 🤢

the jasmine is really warm and not a classic sweet/light scent- my favorite alien, but not nearly as intense as i expected. will probably stick with sample bottles but definitely my favorite thing for a night out!

A truly magnificent scent—powerful, flawless, feminine, and long-lasting. It is like white flowers dancing amidst the greenery of a vast forest, accompanied by tuberose, vanilla, and cashmeran; I absolutely love it🖤💜

This fragrance is beautiful. Alien Extraintense is a powerful white floral, with green and cashmere elements running through to keep it unique... the vanilla backs up the sweetness of the floral and green notes rather than add any gourmand notes. It's a heavy floral; "heavy" is the best word to describe it... nothing light or youthful or subtle about it. Despite this, it's not dated or giving "old lady-ish" vibes (I hate that term so much though). It's bold and modern, and demands to be worn as a statement piece.

Love, love, love this scent! Fortunately, it doesn't resemble the original—which I also love, but I don't want another one like it. Soft, creamy, deep, and sensual—simply perfect!

This still has that unmistakable Alien DNA, but it’s creamier, greener and more voluptuous. Definitely sweeter and more sensual than the original, but thankfully, it still has that little bit of weirdness that makes Alien so addictive.

This is a lovely scent, very tuberose forward with residual sweetness - a 'general' sort of sweetness (which doesn't really point in any direction and isn't being supported by a cast of notes but is completely inoffensive.) There's nothing really exciting or diverse about this. It's quite difficult to believe this has been put out by Mugler because there's nothing reminiscent about Alien in here. About the most interesting thing are the animalic notes you get in the dry-down. It gives wet cat fur with...on my skin at least, sweat. I'd be less disappointed if it wasn't completely gone from my skin in two hours. It's a perfectly nice perfume which gives bubble bath mixture vibes sprayed onto clothing however, don't expect any lasting power. She'd make a fun addition if you just need a quick spritz to layer on top of something throughout the day but she's not the belle of the ball.

I like Mugler "OG Alien" but decided to experiment and blind purchase "Alien Extraintense." I haven't owned or worn OG Alien in a few years, so I decided to change things up a bit. I used to wear OG Alien from time-to-time but never on a regular basis. I like Extraintense, it's okay. But I much prefer the OG Alien. Those who say Extraintense reminds them of Armani "Rouge Malachite," or Armani "Vert Malachite," or even Piguet "Fracas" are 1000% spot on. Because Extraintense includes super-heavy doses of uber-green, indolic tuberose and petitgrain, this perfume greatly departs from the OG Alien. The addition of tuberose & petitgrain alter the perfume creating a fragrance that is denser, darker, creamier, more bitter, greener and decidedly more animalic than OG Alien. I just repurchased the OG Alien. I think I'll be happier with the OG because it is brighter, more luminous, somewhat fresher, more jasmine forward and without the indolence that defines Alien Extraintense.

SULTRY AF -> neon green white floral. The scent of a faerie in heat, mega creamy loud skanky tuberose is the showstopper. periodt.

Love - hate relationship with this one. I had to buy it after I tested it once and kept smelling this tuberose and jasmine for days, on the couch pillow I rested my wrist on, and the tester strip I had on my dresser. Kept thinking about it for days as it not my typical profile I go for. I think it's a very well blended fragrance, however the green note (the petitgrain) is definitely present throughout the whole lifespan of it, I wish it dried down into a bit of a softer cashmere amber, but to my nose it's rather sharp. I'll try layering it with something. If anyone has a good layering suggestions please do share. I am not ready to give up on it just yet! Definitely a strong Alien DNA in this one.

Dark and sensual scent. It starts off smelling like a sunscreen, but it settles with an elegant dark vibe. Love it!

The price point for this fregrance is pretty high for me, but it smells great!

Its alright, it gives me a migrane after a while. Its not as sophisticated as I would like from an Alien perfume. Glad I didnt buy it

I really am loving this version at the moment. The OG I will always love. It was the first expensive designer fragrance I ever bought myself, so it will always have a special place in my heart. I just enjoy how smooth this is. I’ve said before this is just the OG but with a more tropical vibe. I have really been enjoying wearing it this summer. My only bugbear is the miss leading ‘extraintense’ label. It’s not more intense at all. It seems to be the going theme with designer brands at the moment: add some vanilla and/or tonka and label it ‘intense’. Even something like Alien Solarflare would have made more sense 😅

super jasmine forward but dries down to an almost sunscreen-like scent. enjoyably cloying and creamy

The only Alien I somehow really like. This one feels creatively different and lifts my mood up with a fresh scent. Thankfully I don't get any synthetic elements.

Upon smelling it straight from the bottle and also right after spraying, both I and my husband thought it was disgusting. It made my head begin to hurt. Hard to describe opening notes, kind of animalic and a very mature floral combination maybe? Maybe patchouli in there? I'm not sure. I regretted spraying it, but what was done was done and I sprayed A LOT, but we had a tee time and after riding around in golf cart a bit, it dried down and wasn't so strong and I started to kind of like it. It dried down to a sort of creamy vanilla, fresh smell. I also feel like there's amber and I don't normally like amber (makes my head hurt), but it actually smelled good in the combination! I'm just not sure if I'd buy it (got as sample), but it's not bad! I see the appeal now to it!

This perfume isn't super loud, but it's certainly noticeable. It's more quietly confident. It's floral forward and it starts out rather sweet, but the sweetness dies down somewhat over time, and there's some greens and a hint of citrus that stops it from becoming cloying

Smells like spicy animal fur to me. I don’t care for it personally. It’s also weak and has a low projection.

I wasn’t a fan of the OG when it launched in 2005. But I’m a late bloomer. Jasmine and I weren’t friends until this year. I’m thoroughly enthralled by it now. (I purchased a bottle off LUSH LUST earlier this summer. That’s saying something.) Extraintense is radiant, warm, soft, and alluring. Calming and enveloping. A masterfully balanced blend. Gentle jasmine impeccably accented by subtle tuberose. With woody cashmeran, semi-sweet vanilla, ambery touches, and some solar feel. Beautifully creamy, perfectly resinous. A versatile, inoffensive, addicting easy reach. The best Alien of them all, in my opinion. I bought a bottle after just one wear of my sample.

Basically, it smells identical to the original Alien, but reformulated and with way worse performance. The original was already watered down🤷🏻 and this one is just as bad , They shouldn't call it "Extra Intense", they should name it "Extra Boring," because it's not extra intense at all; They've completely run out of ideas. Ever since L'Oréal bought Mugler, this brand has gone straight to hell. They just change the color of the bottles for another boring flanker that doesn't last, is totally overpriced, and is so boring that I'm sure (and hoping) they end up discontinuing it. For fans of the original Mugler, this is absolute trash on an astronomical level. The creative team is either asleep at the wheel or severely underpaid, because at this point, it's just embarrassing. Longevity: 2/10 Bottle: 1/10 Sillage: 2/10 Creativity: 0/10 Price: 5/10 Uniqueness: 1/10

Sigh. This was a disappointment. I used to wear Thierry Mugler Alien religiously. I took years off wearing it and began wearing it again recently. Alien Extraintense is not extra and it’s not intense. I love white florals and Alien was unique. Yes, Extraintense has tuberose but it’s not interesting. Bette Davis: “What a dump!”

my favourite fragrance ever, universal and good for every weather. it smells dark feminine - like a black haired villain. doesnt include a bubblegum note but i can smell it 100% (but an evil version of it lol). zero projection whatsoever especially after maceration. pretty poor longevity too. a pity, because thats perfection of a fragrance - has depth and a sexiness to it edit: i just realized this looks like i wrote it with chatgpt but i promise i didnt lmao

this is an amazing fragrance. it’s oriental, creamy, sensual and very feminine. the tuberose is what makes this extraintense version way better than the original. more creamy and interesting. love !!! 🧡

this is a brilliant perfume. the instant crush I had this morning in the perfumery proved to be lasting and incorporated a beautiful, luscious and everlasting bouquet of white flowers. which I love. it has just that tiny bit of decay in the indoles to make it interesting to me. then it is concipiated by Dominique Ropion, one of my, if not the, favorite perfumers. the perfume has an unmistakable and strong 'unisonous' [uninosmic] sillage, as such that it stays true to itself hours later. I suspect the Amberwood has enabled this character trait. the perfume has Character and Poise. it sits in its beautiful deep purple sarcophagus which all contribute to my joy in wearing it. Jasmine and Tuberose, Vanilla on the more vegetative side, with its comforting and orchidee-like smell. the Petitgrain I suspect shall make the first whiff somewhat more tealike but in the perfumery this morning it was right White Flowers Straight Up my nostrils and then I am already lost. bought a 2oz60mL flacon and am very happy with it. the four other samples I investigated, paled against this juice.

Defo not a safe blind buy option. Its too masculine for me but definitely something sexy

Just like Pulp, it has a very synthetic and plasticky opening, but it goes away at some point after a few hours (you just have to be very patient) and then it becomes a very creamy tuberose jasmin with the Alien DNA behind it. I don't think I will ever commit to a full bottle of this one tho, as longevity and projection are not that impressive, and the OG Alien is still my number one.
