I got this for $12 bucks at tjmaxx. I like basic perfumes but this is THE most basic biotch perfume I’ve ever owned! Definitely will not be a repurchase for me, even if I find it again on clearance for $12 bucks.
This was really cheap in B&M for a full bottle, and I had The Pinkprint when I was young and remember it smelling wonderful, I had been a huge fan of Nicki my whole life so thought why not try this release - This was before she came out as MAGA. Ew. Judging on just the perfume, it smells cheap, synthetic, very aquatic, and doesn't really come through with any of the notes such as caramel or vanilla. It's very strong and I have been complimented on it on days when I've felt like a sweaty mess lol - unfortunately I rushed through my bottle as I did not want her in my collection after she became Nicki MAGAj. The bottle itself felt cheap too, the chain on it snapped and was soft and bendy - It appears the scent was reformulated and the bottle was redesigned to be cheaper so I would love to see an original release to see how different the bottle and scent are, because unfortunately this was quite underwhelming. It needed more of a fizziness and more of the caramel and vanilla for it to work and with it being so synthetic, one sided and aquatic I found it to smell quite annoying, and not at all like I expected it to. The Pinkprint is a MUCH better scent and it's genuinely devastating that one is discontinued because if that was the scent I probably wouldn't mind who made it as much lol
I only bought this because it smells like Mod Blush and Ari to me which is honestly the most basic type of celebrity fragrance but luckily one that I like very much. The bottle is not my jam but it's truly the style of Nicki and seems to be high quality and a good decor piece on a shelf.
Hoping Nicki Minaj releases a new perfume soon.
almost nonexistent on my skin:/ no caramel
A queen perfume from da QUEEN period
i have been thinking long and hard on how to conceptualise Nicki Minaj’s Kirkification and I think several factors are at play (the somewhat inevitable corollary in hip-hop of rags-to-riches being antiestablishment-to-ruling class, the swollen testicles of a Trinidadian cousin). But while the causes are difficult to determine, there were signs. In Camus’ The Stranger, it is intimated that Meursault is not in fact on trial for murdering the Arab, but for his estrangement from the moral ideals upheld by the establishment. This is expressed by the Prosecution through the accusation of a physical crime; the trial symbolically precedes a parricide case, Meursault is said to be morally guilty of his mother's death. (1) Meursault has murdered his mother. In Big Foot, Nicki Minaj accuses Megan Thee Stallion of fucking her late mother’s boyfriend (How you fuck your mother man when she die?). No, beyond accusing her, she asks Megan how that was possible, it is definitive, there is no question of whether this has happened, only as to how someone could bring themselves to it. HOWEVER: Not only is there no evidence of this being true, it has never even been alleged, and even uncorroborated accusations are not characteristic to Big Foot, let alone unique ones. All other claims – and there are many (Megan lied about her liposuction, about the shooting, about the nature of her relationship with Tory Lanez, Megan slept with French Montana and G-Eazy, Megan partied with DaBaby while rubbing on Tory’s toupee) – however dubious, all debuted prior to Big Foot. But Nicki Minaj has a fascination with the fact of Megan’s crimes being committed in the wake of her mother’s death that is akin to the Prosecution’s. It exacerbates her lying (lying on your dead mama lying on your dead mama lying on your dead mama etc), her sins more generally. Within the Christian framework all present parties operate within, lying represents a violation of covenant comparable to adultery. It can therefore be argued that it is not Nicki Minaj’s intent to suggest Megan actually slept with her mother’s boyfriend, but to employ a Camusian conflation on moral grounds. (2) Megan Thee Stallion has committed an act of adultery against her mother. (3) Nicki Minaj is Thee Establishment.
with the way nicki acts rn it's so unfortunate how good this perfume is. like seriously. the fruity notes combined with the slight dessert-y smell makes this fragrance so addicting, pair it with a light vanilla perfume and it's the best summer fragrance ever. longevity is amazing too i still smell a hint of it on clothes i haven't worn in years. & don't get me started with the bottle design like yesss body !! real feminine i love it down
Several of the perfumes I own are blind buys from discount stores and pink Friday is one that I see all the time . However I never felt drawn to buy this because I don’t particularly like NIcky Minajs music and I didn’t think this perfume bottle was pretty enough to justify an impulse buy. A few weeks ago I found an opened box of pink Friday at Tj maxx and without thinking about it too much I sprayed it once on my coat sleeve. I thought it was extremely sweet so I put the bottle back and moved on with my day and I left my coat in my trunk to take it to the dry cleaners… a few days later I pulled the coat out and a beautiful scent hit me , woody florals with a hint of sweetness. I mentally retraced my steps trying to remember which perfume I had tested on my coat sleeve, I even went back to the same store to check out all the perfumes , and there it was , the same bottle now on clearance (because it was opened ) and I couldn’t believe that was the fragance I was looking for because I didn’t like it the first time around. I bought a full size bottle and a backup after that because this perfume really makes me happy . It starts very strong , fruity, citric and very syrupy at first, it reminds me of a summer cocktail , then it slowly evolves into something beautiful and ultra feminine. This perfume is a rollercoaster but one that I enjoy from start to finish . I’ve read a lot of reviews here that say longevity is not great but this last 6-8 hrs on my skin , maybe not noticeable from afar but It’s definitely there. Lasts for days on clothes.
Very beautiful sweet fresh smell fruity love the bottle
I love this and it does get me compliments. Partner finds the bottle heads hilarious. Sweet fruity musk and great for spring/summer.
I really love it. And to think I was doubting in Nicki’s perfume there for a second. What a find! Wish I discovered her line earlier.
Oh my dear Nicky-your giant scary plastic head warns of the plastic scent contained in your frosted glass bosom. I love your synthetic charming notes!!! I have finished a few bottles of you in the past and just cracked open a new 50 ml bottle today. I know this will not last. You come on hard then fade away quickly! But I will spray spray spray to keep you with me a little longer. I know how this will end. I will empty this bottle too soon then swear to never get another again! Too much work! Not worth it! But we both know the truth and so does TJMax!
I was in high school when this came out. And I remember I wanted it so bad the thing with it. Now the frosted bottle is the. Reformulation, and it smells similar, but it's not the magical beauty it used to be. The white bottle is the most beautiful formula. Even the dried down the new version of this smells like it. But the dry down is not the same at all. What it used to be.And it used to last hours, and now it's gone within an hour. One of my favorite perfumes for sure but in the white bottle
i have had this one since i was in elementary school (probably my first perfume that i directly asked for?), so it carries a lot of emotional weight with me. super sweet, but its longevity could be much better. but look at that bottle design, god! it's a cute perfume for going out for a little bit, especially if you want to come across as particularly femme.
I feel very fond about this perfume since it actually was my favorite perfume when I was 9 years old in 2012. I came here more than a decade later and it's still kinda nostalgic, it's not too strong for a kid and also I remember it being a bit more sweet? Overall I have good memories :))
Edit: No longer a Barb 🥀 Nicki why Won't lie, this review will be a bit bias cuz I like Nicki Minaj But I will say the floral sweetness mixed with the sticky scent just blends so well together, this used to be my go to date scent and guys just ate this UP The bottle itself is just so 2000's older sister as well so bonus points If you like feeling like a bug covered in nectar then this is for you
My friend got this for my birthday because we love Nicki Minaj and I am so happy to have this on my shelf! Definitely a fragrance that does not suit me at all but its so nostalgic and I love to open the bottle just to smell it out of comfort. Me and my friend wore It once when we went to the Pink Friday 2 tour. This perfume makes me feel like I'm a child in the 2000s and my older sister let me hang out with her friends in their room and i'm watching them put on make up and get ready to go out while they listen to Nicki Minaj on their iPod.
I picked this up for $14.99 at Ross, mostly for the bottle. The fragrance itself is forgettable. Within minutes of spraying it on my arm I couldn’t smell anything. I intend to add this to my spring/summer rotation but rarely find myself reaching for it because it's so boring. But I'm not mad. The terrifying bottle alone is worth the money. The plastic hair? The doodle bustier? Yes, I do need this on my dresser.
I had this when I was in middle school and I recently saw it in Marshalls so I bought it. I loveeee the bottle - its so campy. The scent itself is super juvenile and sickly sweet but I'm keeping it for the bottle.
Pink Friday has a special place in my heart thanks to the memories and nostalgia, even though its longevity may not be that great. However, it has been one of my favorite perfumes for years and its gotten me more compliments than other perfumes I own altogether (be it more expensive or designer ones). The scent is fruity, girly, sweet but not cloying, fresh and perfect for any type of season and weather - you cannot go wrong with it. It does not remind me of any other perfume I tried before, not even Viva La Juicy which I own as well. Imo I would say VLJ is stronger and more mature compared to Pink Friday, which i do not mean as a compliment. I will keep repurchasing PF until it discontinues.
This is one of those scents that smells like perfume- like the individual notes are not really decipherable imo. It’s got a little bit of everything but to me it’s a nostalgic, summery, party scent. It kind of smells like the really good smelling hair spray from 2010’s. I liked her alot but couldn’t smell it on myself after like an hour. Finished full bottle but would probably not repurchase
my big sister passed when I was 9 years old, I'm 24 now and I really don't remember much of her anymore. One of the few vivid memories I have is of how she smelled, like the bathroom after she flat ironed her hair, fruity shampoo, sugar, and hairspray. This perfume came out after she died but I can't help but think somebody took her essence and bottled it up for me to smell and think of her always. 18 forever.
My view of this perfume is affected by nostalgia because I've had this sitting in my shelf for at least ten years. This has got to be the girliest perfume in my wardrobe ever, and just like Nicki Minaj in her Pink Friday era, she's unapologetically girly, sweet, loud, pop and bratty. It's a carambolerrrrr... so watch out for that. Even after all these years this one is technically still good, however, due to my storing conditions the notes found in my bottle have distorted a bit (such is the nature of time). Nowadays there's a tartness to it (at times reminiscent of raisins which is... not always great), likely because of the overemphasis of the carambola, twisting of the caramellic accords and loss of the florals that used to give it some bodiment. You have to understand that my bottle specifically is a sample of a less-than-ideally stored perfume, to understand what this review is trying to convey. I layer this one with an affordable vanilla to reawaken the full profile, and I just really like seeing the bottle so I think I'll keep it as a memento once I run out. This was a good one. A better preserved one from the days (and/or a freshly produced one) will have the full ensemble of notes listed and it's a match in vibe with Minaj's pop era. It doesn't smell like the early 2010's because the exact smell was somehow ubiquitous (that'd be other cheap body sprays on the market at the time), but because it just captures the spirit of popular music at that time-- the terrain she dominated with party anthems like Super Bass and Starships. This scent won't speak much to someone who's not invested in paying much mind to it other than is it wearable or not. But to a fan, there's history to this and it can be read olfactorily.
I finally got to try this girl out again today but the problem is it was an old bottle of it and it wasn't even the og version so I think Im going to have to get a new bottle-- anyways the notes of blackberry and mandarian were stronger than anything else but it was bad I think the notes were just weak
I'm not a huge fan of this singer, but based off the notes listed, I decided to buy a travel size of Pink Friday to try it out. I had NO idea this would become one of my favorites. It's not overly complicated and it's youthful. It runs very tropical and fruity to me. It reminds me of VS Bombshell but last much longer but I could be wrong. It doesn't remind me of Viva La Juicy. I liked it enough to buy a big bottle of it and refilled my travel size as the bottle is a bit unweidly and cumbersome. The body does remind me of the corset style of female JPG perfumes though. The sillage on this lasts decently and even with just two spritz it projects but I don't find it to be overwhelming. But if you're doing more than that, I can see how it'd be overwhelming.
all time fave. repurchased this for the last decade or so. Excellently well done. There is a nice twist to this that I personally find sophisticated. Its fun, its outgoing, its tropical, its vibrant and it holds a lot of memories for me now. Notes are hard to explain. No outstanding note, this is blended into itself in a expertly put together twist. Packaging is nice, i ended up throwing away the head because it was creeping me out in the night but the packaging was well put together. This is my favourite of the nicki minaj fragrances. Should this reach you, please invest in your perfume line more. I miss the days of the nicki minaj perfume limited editions and pink print. These perfumes are my favourite of celebrity perfumes, she did a great job on this. 10/10
This used to smell so good when the bottle had the white paint in it. The frosted bottle is the reformulation . It definitely lost its heart amd warmth of the secent. It still smells good but the o.g one was definitely sexy warm and it lasted so long
This just does it for me. Layer with body fantasies sugared peach & it just smells like summer. Forever love.
I would never wear this on myself but as a big Minaj fan I was gifted the EDT version from my little brother. It's VERY sweet and fruity and I honestly don't love those scents but I will use it so freshen up a bathroom after use or cleaning.
