Very accurate coconut smell with prominent tobacco note. Polarising. But great if you like strong fragrances.

very nice. i just got it today. will need more time with it for talking more about it. but so fare after 24 hours. it os up there in my collection. it is very nice 8/10

Wanted to give it a chance . but the coconut I cant handle. but for someone who loves coconut .. this is super nice mix with beast mode longivety .

Remove the oakmoss xhange it with sandalwood and u will have best fragrance

most herbaceous, spicy take on caramelized sugar dna. sweetness covered in smoke of spice. beautiful stuff.

This is for the coconut lovers who can't get enough of that note, and want to wear it all year around. If for the summer you'd go for Virgin Island Water, colder weather definitely calls for a more heavy fragrance, and Fan your flames is your goto option in this case. Be careful with wearing it indoors because it's a very heavy fragrance, and quite irritating if smelled from up close. Great blend between woody, rum and coconut, ultra elegant and as masculine as coconut can get.

Summer day & night. Gives me a cigar store room smell/cigar box with a hint of coconut. Others perceive the coconut I really dont. Favorite Summer fragrance, i rotate this for more serious part and Roja Oceania for lighter brighter part. Projection is great.

Nishane #12 –Celebrations and Closures. Almost... It’s ironic and kind of amusing to review a fragrance called “Fan your Flames” when my country and most of Europe is going through one of the strongest heatwaves on record. Speaking of extreme heat and humidity, i might be nitpicking but something tells me its not the best enviroment to test a fragrance even if done indoors. Anyways... The brief speaks of a “celebratory” fragrance, one dedicated to time spent with loved ones on a nightout. The motto is “Set your life on fire and seek those who fan your flames”. The brief also spoiled a bit about the fragrance because it mentioned coconut and shisha so i expected something of a debaucherous scent. Initially, Fan your Flames opens with the coconut but the spicyness of the fragrance offers an unusual contrast and denatures the note, making it come across almost herbal. Im getting B-612 flashbacks and it might be the tonka bean, oakmoss and cedarwood because they share the three notes. The similar bottle coloring between the two perfumes further push me into connecting the two although it might just be me. The fragrance has obvious boozy elements and the first thing that comes to my mind is the atmosphere of a distillery where you get the boozy fumes, the spices used for the final product but also the heat. It also makes me think of coconut flavored rum. I haven’t yet encountered this boozy-coconut combo so its unique to me but i admit that the perfume is not to my taste because boozy elements with much warmth/heat come across as claustrophobic to me. Admitedly, as i mentioned earlier, the extreme temperatures and humidity around me might negatively influence my impression this time. My conclusion with Nishane’s perfumes is that they were all “family friendly” both scentwise and in terms of briefs. They were modern, inviting, bright and pleasant. Even attempts at darker scents such as Karagoz only went halfway, with only Sultan Vetiver being the one that went astray. The scents implemented their concepts with aproachability and appeal in mind paired with great quality. Not very niche scentprofile wise but the quality is there and they managed to avoid falling in the trap of uninspired, made-to-sell in shopping malls scents. I was right to treat each scent in a vacuum because, other then Hacivat and Karagoz which were related through brief and the similar facets i sense amongst B-612 and this one, there isn’t a proper cohesion amongst the offerings. Thats not neceesarily a criticism because although i appreciate a house that builds lore and a universe, it can also lead to repetitiveness and redundancy. Its not exactly my closure on Nishane because i still have one left to speak about but that one is a more personal experience. It will not be a review but something akin to a page in my diary so im treating it sepparately.

Super good starts sharp rum tobacco dries down to creamy coconut woody scent this is LOVE for me. 9/10

This is not a weak tobacco fragrance, it's a sharp & in your face one. The creamy coconut adds some smoothness to the scent & the woods, rum & tobacco scent combine into a strong, smoky scotch kind of smell. I can certainly see where people might get a "medicinal" note from. I like this one quite a lot, I also prefer the opening to the dry down. The coconut adds a much needed smoothness to the formulation. 8/10

I have been on a mission to really justify when I buy things, I.e no need for more than 1 clear lipgloss or body wash, etc. the same logic applies to my perfume buying. Except this one, it’s my greatest and most loved exception. Do I need a perfume for summer nights? No. Not really. The UK whilst getting hotter every year, still doesn’t have enough justifiable hot nights to keep getting a big decant of this, let alone enough when I’m going out in them (I’m an afternoons person’s what can I say) but I always always always have a dacant of this specially for a hot summer evening and it makes me so excited when I can finally break it out. It lasts and projects amazingly, boozy, warm, rich, with earthly unsweetened coconut. As with everything I like it leans a little sweet from that amazing tonka, which really comes out on my skin. The tobacco is sexy, and is actually much more subdued on me, like wearing a second hand coat of someone who used to smoke. The rum is the absolute star, it makes this perfume incredibly fruity on me. I’m a girly girl and I think it depends on your skin how this pulls, as it’s unisex for me. Honestly this is boardline signature for me but I just don’t see it being usable in any other season. Surprised by the winter rating but I am willing to try it in winter and will update.

Nishane Fan Your Flames is a Stunning Fragrance ! Elegant, Classy, Spicy, Boozy and Complex. I was curious about this perfume and In the Community of perfume compares it with Jazz Club but it is not similar. Fan your flames has High Quality Composition and Well-blended Combination Extrait de Parfum . I tried it in store and I fell in love with it at first sniff, then I read positive comments and I watched reviews on YouTube. It is on my Radar and I will buy it. It opens up with a little bit potent warm spicy , boozy , toasted coconut and tobacco in the background then dry down is semi sweet mossy and woody. It smells so good and very pleasant with a unique note toasted coconut that it is not similar to coconut note in Tropical perfumes ! In my opinion It smells very unique that I haven't found in other Tobacco Style Scent. Longevity is very good and perfect for the Cold Weather. Highly Recommended. Two Thumbs Up Rating : 8.5 / 10

Big issues with this perfume – and I'm waiting for warm evenings to see if perspiration affects the notes – it's the cigarette effect at a time when this type of tobacco is no longer appreciated and even becomes bothersome. As a former smoker, while the smell of hot tobacco is very pleasant, cigarettes cause a noticeable rejection due to their acidity and sharpness, which is no longer acceptable. But this cold tobacco really ruins the rest... except for a smoker, probably.

i hate when you can actually smell the tobacco just overpowers and ruins everything .. yuck

It smells like a Baileys Liquor

It's ok, more synthetic-smelling that I thought it would be. Very "modern", conjuring up a young professional slapping this on before hitting a semi-bar semi-club type of place

Jazz Club but there's a burnt coconut there who thinks he's apart of the friend group. The coconut in this isn't bad but it isn't added in the gourmand way but in a more charred, darker, dare I say earthier form. This stuff lasts really long too which is crazy AND the coconut will still be there during the 7-8 hour mark. 7.3/10

Second day wearing this and I love it! It smells pretty much bang on the accords mentioned on my skin, and I would consider this an all-year fragrance. If you love coconut, this is the scent for you! And even if you do not like it, the quality of this fragrance is unquestionable! Nothing is cheap-smelling about this one at all!

Got this today one more to add to my collection. I get that rum right off the bat this is nice and boozey in the opening the tobacco i pick up which is nicely done.All in all another home run from Nishane.This is becoming one of my favorite houses.I have blind bought 10 fragrance over the past week from the house they kill it every time.

At the opening i can smell mint mixed with the inside of a cow barn. I swear, that is what i am getting from Fan your flames. I don’t know if this is because of rum, coconut and oakmoss combination, but after the mint is calmed down, cow barn is taking over. I even bought a sample just to be sure that i’m not crazy. But i’m not. I would not recommend this perfume to anyone.

I didn't think I would love this so much. this fragrance very boozy and little tobacco. if i have to explain this smell it smells like Coconut flavored Malibu and coconut cigar. first spraying it smells very boozy after it fades coconut rum and little tobacco. I really love this fragrance it so wearable for winter days.

This makes tribute to his name. But not for me. It's flames, but i am not a fan (Yes, lame joke). Smoky, slighlty boozy, sweet coconut oppening with a very incensy burnt drydown. Imagine you order at a bar, and you get the smell of those burning little pieces of wood to make the exquisite Old Fashioned cocktail. Well, this is that. Not that it is bad, but for me, it is a pass just because of the versatility to wear it. Still i have to say that this is an excellent performance. 8 plus hours. Fall and winter are the perfect time to wear. It's mature and sophisticated. Maybe a bigger decant for when i want to get that dark and mysterious vibe. Try it on 5 ml decant

Smells good but the longevity and projection is average from the tester I have used in the store. Was this reformulated or what? Everybody seems to say it has crazy performance, but the tester bottle I have used was very bad in performance.

Jack sparrows signature scent. I blind bought this one for a really great price and this became in my top 10. Warm dark coconut rum with rum and spices hiding behind sugar cane and vanilla. Yes

As someone who has sampled thousands of frags: this is challenging, stanky, true niche stuff. A dark and dank woody and mossy presence.

Let me start off by saying this isn’t inherently a bad fragrance. I’m sure there’s a demographic that would genuinely enjoy it. But to me, this smells like someone’s grandad after chain-smoking a pack of cigarettes. I enjoy tobacco fragrances, but the tobacco here is way too harsh and overpowering. It leans more toward stale cigarette smoke than smooth, refined tobacco. The coconut is there, but it gets buried quickly. And honestly, tobacco and coconut is just a strange combination. The soft sweetness of the coconut clashes hard with the aggressive smokiness, and the result is something that feels confused rather than balanced. On the positive side, performance is strong. It lasts for hours and projects heavily. This is not a safe blind buy. Try it first. Overall: 5/10.
