I love this fragrance. It’s quite crowd pleasing but I just find it doesn’t last on me at all. I wish there was a stronger version
Smells ok I won’t buy
Smells like a gingery creamy treat to me. A little spice cabinet too. It’s a beautiful scent, quite addicting but I don’t know that it suits me as a personal fragrance. I’d love it if my home smelled like this. It has that chic polished quality, whereas I might long for more warmth and character. Very aromatic and somehow both soothing and invigorating.
This was a blind buy. Initially, the cardamom and anise were a bit shocking. I thought I had made a huge mistake. But within moments, it turned into a fresh, bright, sparkling, clean, lemony iris. And the cardamom? Well, I sprayed a ton of this - both on skin and clothes. Interestingly, the cardamom stayed on my clothes for the majority of the day... only to fade to a soft milky sandalwood. But on skin, I got the iris, the citrus (not sure why citrus is not listed here, but I really get a lemony vibe) throughout the day. So it was kind of a nice blend, depending on which way I turned. My only complaint? The bottle. It is uncomfortably wide and hard to spray unless you have giant hands and the atomizer is not great. But I am happy with the scent. I got about 3-4 hours until it became so faint I had to bury my head in my sleeve to still smell it. Still, a nice easy-peasy summer vibe.
There are many fragrances in this style, but this one has the exact airiness I look for within the structure. It carries a gentle coolness and a sense of transparency, it smells precisely the way the liquid looks: pale, soft, and luminous. What I perceive is a clean, milky almond iris. Smooth and creamy, yet light and fresh, never heavy. It feels almost like light itself translated into scent. The best description I’ve come across fits perfectly: (down) It’s like enjoying a cup of cardamom tea after the best shower of your life, wrapped in freshly washed bed linens. A beautiful, understated fragrance, more of a skin scent than a statement. An effortless, elegant clean girl perfume that feels calm, polished.
instant love at first sniff! this is a soft comforting subtle feminine beauty! subtly milky and sweet but not gourmand feminine but not full-on floral soft-spicy but not irritating or loud soft and enveloping like cashmere blanket but not synthetic cardamom with anis and iris and cashmeran and sandalwood are apparently a match made in heaven I think JHAG Ode to dullness has tried to aim for the same, but i see this one came way before and it is a head taller
I absolutely love the milky-spicy opening of this. However, the drydown is quite a generic powdery, woody, musky iris scent with subtle sweetness. Pleasant and balanced, quite a stylish take on these notes. But it does not move me, like the opening does.
Cardamom front with a lactic quality to it, make you feel like you are drinking a cup of warm milk layered with spices. The fragrance on itself is very linear and projection is closer to the skin. The sandalwood and cashmere wood make this scent extremely smooth, almost like linen after laundry. I would say this fragrance is very safe for first buy but don't expect to turn any head with this, and treating it as such might limit your mileage. A very interesting interpretation of it source materials and perfect for most weather
One of the most comforting fragrances I own. There’s no real development, no excitement or drama. I feel like it was designed to calm more than to perform. This is silence done well and I absolutely love it and wear ti often when I feel anxious.
OMG! It’s like drinking a cardamom tea on your white fluffy bed after taking the best shower of your life. it’s clean but with a twist.it’s woody and creamy. The opening is a bit harsh and masculine for about 2 minutes, but after that it’s amazing. Can’t say much about the performance, because I got it less than an hour ago.
Absolutely love the almond nougat scent of this one. A pity that it only lasts about 3 hours and doesn't really project. So far I really like everything from Olfactive Studio.
I was looking for a fragrance with these exact notes. To my disappointment I cannot smell it at all. Not even from first spray.
This is the big, older & calmer sister of Z&V TIH (they are both by Sidonie Lancesseur). Smells more mature, harsher at initial spray. When that whiffs away I get lots of the beautiful anise and sandalwood. The drydown is cozy, comforting and creamy.
Percepisco molto il musk e l'anice, meno le altre note, buona la proiezione, ma sulla mia pelle ha un odore poco gradevole, pungente quasi di plastica.
Another day testing Olfactive Studio’s perfumes, another instant love. This (totally underrated) brand is phenomenal. Lumiere Blanche is the perfect fall scent to me. Very soft, delicate, cozy and fluffy, comforting type of perfume. It’s first and foremost an elegant blend of cardamom, anise, almonds, iris, sandalwood, cashmere wood and cinnamon on a sweet tonka bean, musky base. This scent is one of those that I I would add to the category of understated luxury. Really high quality ingredients and flawless blend, but not too in your face. Alluring, sensual and nothing like I expected when looking at the notes listed. Seeing so many spices and woods in the composition, I imagined something way more masculine but Lumiere Blanche is very feminine in my opinion. The iris flower and the tonka beans do a really great job at balancing out the more masculine ones. Performance is not the best, I’m not going to lie, it’s one of those second skin/your skin but better type of scents. But for as long as it lasts, you’re going to smell like a princess. It’s so good, give it a try!! As soon as I can get a bottle of Lumiere Blanche on some sort of deal, this will be my third bottle of a perfume from Olfactive Studio I own. It’s something unique to my collection.
this opens with tons of star anise and cardamom along with sandalwood. i am testing from a dabber sample but it is surprisingly subtle. the almond blooms after a minute and sweetens it up just a bit. it's dry and spicy and i feel like i almost get a black tea note, which i think is the anise. this is too subtle for me personally. it's like a 'your skin but better' perfume with some spice. i find it kind of meditative and it's totally unisex.
Y'all can actually smell something? I got a whiff of something like clean laundry and then nada. Completely disappears almost as soon as it's sprayed on.
This smells like Gris Charnel without the tea note! Top notes are a bit harsh but nice and smooth when settled down. I love this, especially the dry down.
This opens with a heavy dose of warm spices meddling together, toasty cardamom, powdery cinnamon, and aromatic anise. It was almost too spiced for me but the heavy hand cools down as the scent develops. It becomes a creamy cashmere iris combo with sweetness in the background from the almond. Dry down amps up the creaminess but becomes more woody with a soft powdery sandalwood with hints of the iris peeking through. Lovely scent
It smells like the far shelf in the kitchen, where leftover spices and forgotten aprons and kitchen towels. Strong cardamom and anise in the beginning. It reminds me of something from my Eastern European childhood
This reminds me, in its overall characteristics, of the cardamom version of Heaven Can Wait by Frederic Malle. While HCW is clove, this is cardamom….but they give similar vibes to me. Both lovely. HCW lasts longer on my skin.
I got a milky cardamom. Almond is faint and the whole thing is way too slight even for a skin scent. I’m not sure what kind of waif cliche this was designed for but it was a disappointment. I think this might have been innovative when released and now it aligns perfectly with the renewed interest in cardamom and other spices. Definitely try before buy. Thankfully this was a sample but after two hours it was totally gone, nothing. I love some perfumes for their fleeting nature, colognes are not made to stick around forever but the hope is for some substance before they fade. This is boring because this profile seems pretty common. If you love it then great but if it’s anything like it was on my skin, no bugger else will know you have it on 😂 ETA - I wore it again on a roasting hot day and it lasted about 3 hours and projected better. Conflicted as I’m unsure if this is a warm weather fragrance to me.
Strange, slightly plasticky first blast which disappears within seconds to leave a subtle scent of Christmas candle. Would have recommended it as a subtle winter scent if it lasted longer - as it is, it's gone within the hour.
I really struggle with this one I’m afraid that I’m nose blind to it, it’s really hard for me to pick any of the notes
I purchased Lumiere Blanche approximately two years ago, but as many perfume enthusiasts and collectors do, it was forgetten in a corner along with other perfumes bought with great enthusiasm. However, today it has everything needed for a belated review, given that the weather is cloudy and foggy, just as the structure of this perfume. It has a very short-lived alcoholic opening. Within seconds this opening disappears, replaced by a soft, sweet and aniseed florality. Anise, a spice often associated with liquorice, is present in many perfumes, but here it takes the form of delicate flower in a cloud of almond milk mist. I hesitate to say that the perfume smells like a chai tea latte. Because the woody notes cause a distinct dryness and airiness to the fragrance, and on accasion, the olfactory perception is that new furnitue. In a more precise sense, the aroma evokes that of IKEA's wardrobe department.
A soft creamy sandalwood perfume. Appropriate for rainy days, it is a comforting scent. A warm scarf worn on a rainy day... Unisex, complex, original. For information, it is more a skin scent, the projection is small. Office compatible.
just got a bull bottle. clean, creamy, light cardamom. the best way i can describe it is a watered down milky horchata with added cardamom. will use up the bottle pretty faaaaast & make a 10ml little pocket spray to reapply during the day. it stays nicely on clothes but not expecting any compliments due to its tiny sillage & projection. love it nonetheless.
Genius scent - it's spicy, milky, nutty loveliness threaded through with delicate anise. Enveloping + satisfying.... My signature perfume without a doubt. Thank you, Olfactive Studio!!
This is a great everyday scent. It is clean, fresh and spicy at the same time. The drydown is something unbelievable. Great one if you don't want to offend anyone with your fragrance but you want to smell nice and original.
Initially an overpoweringly sharp liquorice smell, but that fades quickly to a blend of woods: smoky sandalwood, bark, cedar, an expensive musk blended well with the almond. Some spiciness in the cinnamon. I smell no floral or sweetness at all. A winter forest and the crackling warmth of a fire all at once; the quintessential cabin hideaway. Stark trees in a white field of snow. It's a very cold scent with complexity, but vanished almost immediately.
