I only smelled the opening and was disappointed. It is just way too sweet

I love this scent and it has been my signature scent for 2 years. Recently i order nordic harmony from sentir perfume and i was impressed. It is surely a dupe but has more longevity for a fraction of the price. I keep buying original but i also try all kind of houses. If you can grab nordic harmony i guarantee you, you won't be disappointed.

Classic, historical scent Without this: the less funky, more wearable, smoother interpretation of oud for the west wouldn't be a thing Women also LOVE oud wood. Not too strong, masculine wood. Pros: Smells expensive, unique and smooth. It is probably one of my favourite scents, ESPECIALLY the opening. First compliment I got was "it doesn't smell synthetic at all", by someone who hates most aftershave smells. Smell is very nice and sweet, but not vanilla or fruit sweet. It is like a woody, creamy sweet, and gets less sweet the longer it dries down, but it's not at all "dark" or masculine as people claim it is. It is simply a thick, neutral sweet posh scent. Cons: Way way way too expensive, horrible performance(cannot be stated enough) makes you feel like a dumbass for buying it, regardless of how good it is. It does not project at all after about an hour or two. But it's fine, as I only use it for Friday prayer.

A great scent with utterly pathetic performance, at least in it's current formulation. Not remotely worth it with the juice being this weak, let alone at such a high price. TF is insane to be asking this much for what's practically a bodyspray. I have EDC's stronger than this.

Somehow TF took woody sweet spicy earthy notes and made them extremely clean........ And last 2 hours..... (On my skin, maybe different for you)

When I first put on Oud Wood at the shop I wasn't the biggest fan, but after 20 minutes I started to fall in love with it. I can't get enough of this scent and am saving up to purchase it for myself.

This fragrance is like olfactory optical art—it shifts with your perception, revealing something entirely different depending on your mood or the weather. Where it truly comes alive is on a cold winter day with snow falling. The crisp air seems to pull everything into focus and it feels cozy to wear. I’ve gone through several bottles of the beard oil over the years, and, in my opinion, it actually surpasses the EDP. The beard oil feels richer and smoother. If you’re a fan of this fragrance, it’s absolutely worth experiencing.

Damn… I genuinely love this fragrance, but the performance is a major letdown. The scent itself is flawless, easily a 10/10, but everything beyond that falls short. Longevity is weak, projection is minimal, and the overall sillage is barely noticeable. I’m not expecting Oud Wood to be beast-mode, but at this price point, moderate performance should be the baseline. Ideally, I’d be happy with a subtle, hand-span projection and the option to reapply later. Instead, I find myself needing an excessive number of sprays, a la “Curly Fragrance,” just to create a decent scent bubble, which feels unreasonable given how expensive it is. In short, Oud Wood smells incredible, but its poor performance seriously undermines the experience. Smell: 10/10 Performance: 4/10 Longevity: 4/10 Sillage: Negligible

Ah, yes. Another fragrance with "oud" slapped onto the name. If ever there were a time in perfumery that I wish I could fast forward past, it's this obsession with either synthetic ouds or the "my skin but better" frags. Okay, Kaeleigh. Whatever you say. I, too, have armpits that naturally smell of iso e super. But I don't hate Oud Wood. Aaaaaand I don't love it, either. Oud Wood works well depending on one's expectations: don't expect anything amazing or swoon-worthy, complicated or interesting. It's an inoffensive, office-safe fragrance, lacking personality and depth but functional enough to appear as though the wearer is at least trying despite the synthetic quality of the wood notes. I had heard this one is great as an entry frag for those (myself included) who have always struggled with the harsh synthetic oud fragrances of today which are often too loud, abrasive, medicinal, and burn my nostrils with no escape from the wearer. Despite its artificiality, Oud Wood is, ironic considering the name, very light in the oud department (is it even there?!), for which I am thankful, and the wood notes are smooth enough albeit very synthetic-smelling. Definitely unisex. Actually, would smell *more* interesting and less stereotypical on a woman. I had originally purchased a partial bottle of the older formulation for myself and eventually passed it on to my husband. With that said, I don't consider this a "fine" fragrance, and it is way overpriced for what it is and what it delivers. I don't know how Tom Ford gets people to pay this much for the stuff he peddles. As a woman, Oud Wood is a solid *meh* for me regardless of gender, and, after a while, I get really sick of smelling it and wish it would disappear. Thankfully it's fairly short-lived anyway. Many of the critical reviews below are spot-on. There is very little oomph, even with the supposed older formulation that I have, and it's missing the interest, artistry and depth that would make it more captivating at the skin-scent level that it's currently at on my arm after about an hour or two. It's not sexy *at all* to me. Honestly, it's kind of boring, basic-boy, and one-dimensional with the odd mix of woody-spicy-freshy drydown that remains mostly linear on my skin. It'd make a better body wash fragrance than anything. Matter of fact, and don't hate me for this, it very much reminds me of the type of fragrance used in something like Everyman Jack shower products: that chemical-vetiver-cedar-woody-powderiness on my skin with a hint of dissonant freshy sweetness. In comparison to some of the stuff I personally wear, Oud Wood is downright foppish, dainty, and sexless. I could absolutely see a younger guy with a severe fade and overly-gelled hair wearing this overpriced fragrance after scoring his first higher-paid job in his early-to-mid 20s, walking with an air of misplaced confidence and throwing out words like "classy" or describing Oud Wood as "class in a bottle" yet also a "panty dropper." Oud Wood is neither of those things, but it's perfectly safe and perfectly acceptable, and I'd be a jerk not to sheepishly admit that it smells pretty good on my husband when he wears it, may he never read this review.

Tom Ford Oud Wood reminds me of a Dubai evening, on a high rise building with a light breeze and a cold drink in hand. It screams elegance and sophistication. A fantastic date night fragrance. The Oud starts off strong with this one, but it dries down to reveal a perfect cozy balance of wood and oud. Unfortunately though, it isn't the most long-lasting fragrance for an oud fragrance and for me only gets about 5-6 hours of wear. I also feel that this, along with all of the Tom Ford Private Line fragrances are WAY overpriced. 50ml for this price is not good. I'd always recommend being particular with which Private Line Tom Ford's you purchase because of this Lastly, For me Oud Wood is primarily a night-time scent, but i do think that it is possible to wear during the day but perhaps with 2-3 sprays only.

This is insanity. 30 ml for how much dollar? A$300? For a scent with this abysmal performance, with zero real oud in it? Don't get me wrong, Oud Wood smells good; it's mass-appealing and nothing crazy, but good: creamy, spicy wood with a velvety and pleasant texture. But there is no way a perfume with such a poor longevity, with no oud (despite the name), is worth the absurd pricetag Tom Ford is asking. No offense to those who loves this perfume but this is a prime example of a very successful marketing campaign. "Smells like CEO/old money/rich guy or gal". Come on now.

If you don't like eastern oud, this is the best western oud perfume you can spend money on. Lasting is not an issue at all. It performs just fine. It smells so Niche and sophisticated. 10/10, the bottle and packaging are a piece of art.

delicious. probably not the cardamom perfume i'm looking for, but this will definitely be my oud perfume for a good long while. (the cardamom is definitely very present! but it leans sweet rather than the nutty herby scent i'm looking for.)

Seriously I dont get the hate , its expensive but so good . I dont think its unisex its definitly masculine but I love it so much I wear it even though Im a woman . Its like those ceo fanfics that are mysterious and badass . Maybe its a bit cringe but it smells sooo good . Definitly smelling all the woods but suprisingly i cant really smell the vanilla or maybe its not a sweet vanilla , the cardmom slaps at first , its a cold but not a very fresh vibe , four season for sure . Even though i love it I cant justifiy the price , gonna buy a rip off

At first, this is nice and masculine but boring, which is how I tend to feel about most Tom Ford fragrances. But in the drydown, I get some kind of piss-y or body fluid-y smell. Yuck.

Oud wood is a fragrance I have a weird relationship with. It was one of the first seriously expensive scents I’ve come across, back then I was wearing stuff like Versace Dylan Blue and Mont Blanc Legend, and Oud Wood absolutely shocked me the first time I tried it, it’s weightless, flat and very simple, but somehow that plays into its advantage, and it was unlike anything else I’ve experienced up to that point. It is best described as slightly cold and aloof. The dialogue between the medicinal, synthetic Oud accord and the cardamom results in a strange, almost bleach like mineralic shimmer that I haven’t seen replicated anywhere else, there’s something industrial about it, it has very little sweetness, as matter of fact it’s slightly salty. It’s not deep but it’s effortlessly beautiful. Oud Wood isn’t what I reach for when I want something that represents the pinnacle of what perfumery can be, but it’s a god tier “dumb reach” scent. That might sound like a backhanded compliment, and potentially a little insane considering the price, but this stuff works in just about any scenario and really lends itself to that kind of role, and a dumb reach scent is ultimately something you’re going to use quite a lot, so why not invest in a great one?

The batch code is D6223025 and the ingredients code is ILN49272. I’ve got 3 sprays of this in my elbow crease from a decant. On the initial spray, I get this dry woody medicinal rough scent. Based on other ouds that I have smelled, this one is on the medicinal side. There is also the pepper there adding a little sharpness. After abit, the cardamom and amber start to show themselves but the medicinal oud smell is still there too. I can also smell a little tonka adding a rubbery nuance. The vanilla is there but it’s playing more of a supporting role giving the scent a tiny bit of sweetness. Ultimately, it’s mainly a dry slightly medicinal ambery woody perfume. Definitely a classy scent profile that can be worn all day or for special occasions. Performance wise, It’s lightly projecting but it has decent silage. Longevity seems moderate to long lasting on my skin. This brings me to the downside of this perfume. For the ingredients used and the type of perfume style, you would expect this to be really strong but it’s not whereas the price is still really high. That's annoying cause the smell itself is pretty good. Overall, this is a really good smelling classy perfume and it’s definitely a must try but maybe get a decant and test it on skin first to see if it performs better on your skin in case the performance is a deal breaker

Sandalwood and cardamom take centre stage. There’s a hint of oud too, but it remains in the background. It’s a creamy, comforting scent that I think is perfect for unwinding. It would have been spot on for my taste if the mood had been a little darker. 8/10

I love this fragrance. Its a clean and elegant ode to oud. I wear this sometimes to bed it puts me in such a comfortable feeling.

I find it to to be quite the strange fragrance. When I first ordered it, I expected a smoky, woody, oud-like fragrance. A perfect addition to my otherwise fresh, citrusy Terre de Hermes and the sweet and spicy, gourmand Layton I own. However what I got was, let's just say, different than expected. The fragrance opens with a sweet, earthy amber note. Hints of vanilla linger in the background, along with an ever so slightly deep, woody presence. However, said wood is the kind you would expect to find in the bathroom of an old mansion. Very deep, luxurious, sweet. Quite strange. Every time I smell it, it transports me straight into a scene from a David Lynch film, set inside an old wooden mansion, deep inside the ancient forests of the north-eastern US. It's confusing. I absolutely don't get middle eastern oud, or a lush forest in the summer from this. However I THINK I like it. But only time will tell.

This is the best oud scent oat without a doubt and top 5 fragrances oat, this smells so rich and elegant

A useful tip; get the new 250 ml TF OW Hand and Body Moisturizer in the pump bottle and use the EdP on top of it. You will use much less of the EdP and the scent will last and project for hours and hours. It makes a huge difference. Oud Wood is one of my all time favorite during winter season and I discovered this combo recently. Worth investing.
