This fragrance either performs better in hot heather vs cold, or it has gotten better the longer it’s sat bcuz this is not the same fragrance I wrote off when I first sniffed it, it smells waaaaaay better now? More creamy, less sharp and off putting? Or is it my nose has changed? Idk but I like it better now compared to when I first bought it hehe

i'm stunned. i expected to hate this. i DO hate og valaya (on me). OG valaya is so sharp and aldehydic in a way that doesn't work for me, and i've seen so many people say that exclusif is very very similar so i expected to hate this too. somehow... not only do i not hate it, i fell in love and its even my favorite PDM perfume ever now. i don't know how my opinion can be so drastic between the two where valaya is my least favorite and this is my favorite but... i really do suggest giving this a try if the aldehydic nature of valaya didn't work for you. you may just like this one instead!

To my nose the dry down is very similar to guidance, and it was a surprise. I was not expecting it.

If you want to fill a room and leave a trail, give this a whirl. I sprayed once and it lingered on my clothes and skin for DAYS. It evokes feminine, luxury, floral, expensive synthetic musk. Sadly too overpowering and sweet on me.

Wow, this is super potent. If you love clean laundry scents then you’ll likely enjoy this.

gorgeous scent. i'm not usually a fan of citrus scents, but this does it beautifully. it lasted for what seemed like forever on me, and its projection with one spray is solid enough that it did turn heads. it's powdery and clean, and not just like laundry detergent clean, but something a lot more elevated. i love it

I had expected a light scent - in the bottle it had this beautiful creamy scent that just felt ethereal. HOWEVER, sprayed on my, this quickly turned into this heavy duty ambroxan scent. There are no more nuances, they disappeared within 30 - 60 min max. It reminds me a lot of the performance of the Bal dAfrique absolu (not the OG which is georgeous). This is a complete pass for anyone looking for a light hearted or fluffy scent. It's heavy duty almost gourmand like. I will give them, that the sillage and longevity is through the roof. But def. NOT a safe blind buy. Please test it first.

This one is a tough review. I've had this perfume for almost a year and worn it twice. I hated it the first time. It smelled super powdery, and scratchy. There was nothing pleasurable about it. The second time was 9 months later. It wasn't as powdery, less scratchy, and I didnt DISLIKE it anymore, but I didnt enjoy it. I believe my nose has matured to understand it, and appreciate its uniqueness. Ill update my review if I end up loving it some day.

Although not experienced with PDM, never tried Delina as rose isn't my thing, not being a big fan of 'white' musk perfumes, I have to admit that Valaya Exclusif is beautiful and totally unisex. My very first impression upon spraying it was that it's 90% similar to Pure Musc from Narciso Rodriguez. That clean, soft white floral essence on a white musk base. Later on, I found out that it could be the second chance of the discontinued White Suede from Tom Ford. If you ever smelled or liked the ones mentioned above you're gonna love it. It's not the perfume that you will be remembered for, but the one to give the impression you're clean/fresh/prepared head to toe. The longivity is very good, the sillage average. I dislike people layering perfumes or spraying like 10 times no matter their perfume is niche or celebrity released, but trust me, if you start your day lightly with Bianco Latte and you put on top later on Valaya Exclusive, the combo is heaven. You take the body from BL that misses from Valaya Exclusive and it's note of almond/vanilla/powder are amplified to the max. All in all, I can live without it but it deserves the hype. If it could be a feeling, it would be the idea that someone cares about you. If it was a nostalgic memory, it would be your mum ironing white shirts just after spraying Merito on them.

This is an instant headache for me. I sprayed it on a tester paper and accidentally got some of it on my finger. I had to go home and scrub my finger with dish soap because it smelt so vile. After washing my hands 5 separate times throughout the day the smell finally left. Smells like baby powder and cleaning chemicals. I don't understand why people say this is a clean, fresh laundry smell. Maybe if you doused yourself in laundry detergent and didn't wash it off. Some of my favorite perfumes come from PDM. I love all the Delinas and Meliora. This is the most repulsed I've been from a perfume ever.

This is the best ever I need it

I love this perfume a lot! It's elegant, sophisticated, polished, refined, and luxurious. It feels beautifully balanced and it works wonderfully on my skin. I love the powdery dry-down, and I find the entire progression addictive. I experienced the fragrance moving from the opening, through the heart, and into the base, and every stage is delicious in its own way. The longevity is excellent, and the projection is strong without becoming overwhelming. One spray is usually enough for me, which helps justify the price. Interestingly, I did not like it very much when I first tested it. I kept returning to it, and the more I wore it, the more I liked it, until I eventually bought a full bottle. Now it is one of my absolute favorite perfumes and one I could wear all the time. I would strongly recommend sampling it before buying. It seems to inspire very strong love-or-hate reactions, and it really needs to work with both your taste and your skin chemistry.

Not a fan of Perfums de Marly at all, however I cannot fault Valaya exclusif. I cannot stress enough how excellent the longevity in this is. My skin normally annhilates clean fresh scents, yet one spray of this and I can smell it even after showering. Agree with a previous review that there is a slight antiseptic quality to it, but honestly this is truly a stand out unripe almond perfume. I am a reformed sceptic on this and it has entered my rota with audacity.

Valaya Exclusif is the only perfume to date that manages to turn me into a mentally unstable Bipolar Perfume Head when I wear it. I have no idea why I am trying to love this fragrance so hard. In theory, this could be my ideal “clean laundry” scent - given that I like all the notes and powdery profiles in general. But every time I decide to give it a full days wear, same damn thing happens - my emotion vacillate stronly between “no way - too screechy - crossing it off my list” - a phase thats lasts me almost to the dry down… All the way to the opposite end of the spectrum - ie obsessively googling all the known retailers on the quest to get my hands on least buy a 1oz sized bottle… What I think is going on is that about first 1,5 hours half of the scent development it is too strong of an actual concentrated laundry powder of a certain kind, which I may detest IRL… but then it tricks me towards the dry down- which is when this same scent morphs into something softer and creamier and extremely attractive to me - probably that perfect clean laundry scent I have been searching for. Can anyone relate? Whats a girl to do?! A rhetorical question…but one I would love to resolve at some point;)

Comfortable and expensive, it's beautiful, like a newly washed dress in a flowery meadow, as if you were living a carefree life in nature in the middle of a meadow full of flowers, clover and deciduous trees. Animals all around. Clean, gentle, wonderful. But the price. No. Come on.

Valaya Exclusif is one of those fragrances that just smells expensive. Like, properly expensive. I have nothing quite like it in my collection. I do try not to buy fragrances that are too similar, although on some occasions I do end up getting multiple perfumes with a similar DNA. I love clean scents, so this one makes so much sense for me. It is honestly lovely. The only other almond fragrance in my collection is Rolling in Love, and they could not be more different. Rolling in Love is warm, creamy, and intimate, while Valaya Exclusif feels polished, airy, and quietly luxurious. The price is definitely the painful part… but I kind of understand it. I have not been able to wear it for a full day yet, but I keep reading that it lasts forever on the skin, so we shall see. I get that this one will not be for everyone, but it is very much for me.

While I will say that this fragrance isn't for me, I'll give credit where it's due, I haven't smelled anything quite like this. It has such an interesting composition of notes. It's has pronounced florals, a bright and noticeable citrus accord, but it's also nutty and slightly woody? It's an interesting fragrance for sure. In my opinion, the lilly or the valley is VERY pronounced compared to the orange blossom. The lilly of the valley smells as if it's still on the stem of the flower. The citrus also plays a huge part in this as well. I noticed it from start to finish. On my skin, it comes across as bitter though. Like the white part of an orange peel. Personally, I just don't like the almond mixed with the lilly of valley and the citrus. For me, it doesn't work on my skin. It's just a bit odd. The Powdery quality reminds me of an expensive dusting powder. The vanilla is very subtle in this. This is not gourmand or sweet by any means. Even though this is not for me, Try this for yourself though, I do think this would appeal to a LOT of women. It's unique while still being airy and fresh. It's not suffocating but it still has strength to it.

It's not my usual preference but I agree it is a compliment magnet without being overbearing. Good silage.

Parfums de Marly has a dna I don't like. It reminds me of old lady hand creme.

This is my favourite of all the pfdm clean elegant comforting addictive, I’m shocked I like it so much, after my dislike for delina I don’t think I would like any of them, but unfortunate for my bank balance I love this one

Compliment magnet and crowd pleasing hit. It's not my usual style but I do like the Exclusif over the original thanks to the softer notes.

I wish this wasn’t so expensive. I didn’t like most of the other popular perfumes from de marly so I didn’t have high hopes but this one is really great on my skin. Almond just agrees with me I think. It’s a nice light, summery perfume that projects but isn’t sticky or heavy.

i am a big fan of orange blossom and powdery scents but this one is a no from me. there is a note in here that kind of smells like sparkling water or tv static to me, i can’t quite put my finger on why it’s so unappealing to me but i really disliked how it sat on my skin. i do see why some people might love this but do test before buying.

This smelled good. It is stronger deeper than the OG. The OG maintains more sweetness. Very similar at the dry down. My spouse likes, not loves, both. The florals are present but light and clean. Something in this though is reminiscent of something I smelled in the designer realm. Marketed for women but its so musk forward and the florals light enough I can easily see a guy using it as a base to fluff up a richer scent. 4/5

Expensive? Yes. One spray is enough though. Had so many compliments the one time I sprayed. And when I left an office it lingered and I was sent a text to let me know. If anything is a one spray, lasts for hours and leaves a trail it’s worth it. Almost wanted to gatekeep. Actually I did that day.

Powdery, sterile, austere, extraterrestrial. I like it still, even tho I usually gravitate towards a sun- kissed ones and this is well maybe a hospital? Note to self: never to get a full bottle, maybe a 30ml one. Could be intimidating, but can also be clean. Hotel lobby

This smells like a pretty feniminie woman in...king kongs cage,it has a funky note like the vibe from (panda zoologist) animal with a pretty woman trapped in a zoo exhibit shes wearing a silky white dress,i absolutely can't handle this, for others maybe they love this,because of the hype or the unique name Valaya,pretty bottle though,im no longer curious,thousands more to test. Lasts too long especially when I feel like I'm in an animal cage.
