Strong rubber Carmel scent. Bad blind buy for me
i usually love perfumes like this but this is so gross it’s like straight up old caramel with some random minty note in it barf
i should have trusted the reviews that say this has a plastic accord smh. eclaire is one of my fav perfumes so i thought i would enjoy this considering it’s another bianco latte dupe, i was wrong. this has a cold milk accord that is so vile. if you have smelt tubbees tres leches it’s the same rubber/cold milk synthetic mess. calling this similar to eclaire is criminal.
I only have a small 5ml sample that was gifted to me. To be honest, the opening has that sharp alcoholic smell that can come across as a bit harsh. I suspect many people judge the fragrance too quickly based on those first 30 seconds and miss what comes next. As it develops, the it settles into a much smoother caramel-lactonic accord. The heart and base notes gradually emerge, helping to balance the sweetness and preventing the drydown from becoming overly milky or cloying. Overall, I don't mind Caramel Cascade. However, considering the sheer number of vanilla-caramel-tonka based fragrances, dupes and inspired-by creations that have flooded the market since COVID, this struggles to stand out. At this point, these gourmand combinations seem to be multiplying faster than the pandemic virus itself, with new releases appearing almost every week.
Rubbeeeeeer omfg😖 it smells like a heated up rubber band! And it just kept getting stronger and WORSE for the rest of the afternoon wtf who is responsible for this???😭
HORRIBLE!! One of the worst blind buys. It’s been macerating for months and it’s still as terrible burnt rubber concoction that it was from the first spray. Yuck 🤮. Don’t know how this one always gets lumped in with likes to Bianco latte etc nothing sweet here. Is it a manufacturing error? Batch issue? Is anyone quality controlling at this factory??! 20th Aug. nope no change, still just rubber, nothing else. Def no BL DNA in this.
I’ve had this perfume for about 6 weeks now so I’ve allowed it to macerate and all I smell is rubber with slight weird sweetness to it but not in a good way. I’m actually quiet disappointed with this perfume as I trusted all these tiktok videos and reviews
Isn't it interesting? I had a bad batch of Eclair, and it seems the negative comments below had a bad batch of Taskeen Caramel. My Eclair was so bad. It had crystals , so it wouldn't spray at all. This happens sometimes...but not a reason to stop buying Middle Eastern perfumes. My Taskeen Cararmel is Devine ❣️ I was nervous to get it because of the horrible reviews. Until I saw one review on YouTube...and she convinced me....I love a good caramel. In the opening it is more latonic/creamy/caramel....like those caramels with the cream center...I adore this, but not for the ones who can't do milk. Ok...the dry down is Devine and what I wanted...very sweet and delectable 🤤 No root beer, no burnt rubber or any of those other oddities. I sprayed it on my pajama top last evening before bed , waking up to the yummy sweet caramel....very happy! Also, I bought this in a set with a perfume spray....also delicious....
Not blind buy safe !! I returned it
I tried. I tried very hard to like this, it's got very similar notes to others that I do like, like Vanilla Voyage and Bianco latte and Eclair. But this fragrance to my nose is just awful! Like wash it off with soap and water Awful! My husband and daughter hated it as well 👎👎👎
Stay away... unless you wanna smell like a tire manufacturer. I guess smell is ver subjective 🤨
Smells like a white chocolate Lindor. Feminine and fleeting, and requires tons of sprays to smell. Worth $20 tops.
Condensed milk and gasoline 🥛⛽
Although I've never smelled it, looking at them in a pyramid I was going to say that I would really like it. However, I got a sample and on my skin it smells like very burnt caramel.
I can't make my mind up on if I like it or not. It has a lot of what I like - sweet, caramel, cream. But the opening has some kind of sharp, synthetic note that reads as very unpleasant to my nose. Very similar to Khadlaj's Cream Velvet but the sharpness is more pronounced. I don't hate it but I'm not in love with it, either. I'll be sticking to Cream Velvet.
It’s kind of like root beer… but the kind you forgot about overnight with no fizz left.
I'm so skeptical about this one.. the opening does annoy me so much, it does smell like beetroot.. it dries down to caramel syrup that is super yummy and sweet.. performance is insane.. overpowers anything I layer it with.. but the opening is annoying.. it smoothened out quite a lot after two weeks of maturation but overall it's still there
After first 2 full wearings and a few wearings from the store tester, here's my take: I smelled Bianco Latte in store and this is NOT a 1to1 clone of that. The best I can explain it is : take the "burnt rubber" note from Babycat or Rosento Matteo 5 or a clone of one of those 2 and insert that in Bianco Latte and, VOILA, you have Caramel Cascade.. I think it makes it least mass-appealing, but more elegant and mature than the OG. If you are not a fan of that dark rubbery smell in the Babycat DNA, you won't like this! I personally love it! It does make it more masculine, which is a plus for me. As far for performance, this is nuclear off me.. The only people saying it isn't I think are the ones who went nose blind to it. As for weather, I would not wear it when it's over 25*C outside as it can be too much! Hope this helps! Cheers!
Caramel is what u get. Very sweet and yummy. At the same time there’s sharp note there, and drydown is plastiky, something synthetic lingering around. First spray is strong alcohol making me cough, I hope that will go away. Edit: I actually regret buying it, there are far better caramel gourmands out there, no need to go for this one. Edit: It’s actually just bad. Worst caramel gourmand out there, strong irritating my throat alcohol and synthetic plastic caramel smell. Edit: it’s disgusting. It’s like burnt tires or some other type of rubber with super synthetic caramel all around. Hands down the worst gourmand I’ve bought.
Vanilla milk with loads of melted caramel and tonka syrup, very strong on my skin and in the air. Gets muskier as it dries on my skin, but still very gourmand. It does smell plasticky at the offset and it definitely lingers, but I don't find as it as offputting as I thought I would. Cool seasons works for this, too intense for summer. Not a perfect dupe for Lattafa's Eclaire and even less so for Bianco Latte, but definitely in the same family.
Review based on a 5 ml sample – It becomes surprisingly pleasant after sitting on skin for a good while, but the beginning really does smell like big fat earthy white mushrooms. People weren't lying lol. I enjoy it more than I'd like to admit, although that weird mushroom note is definitely there. I guess it becomes less and less jarring the more and the longer you wear it, but I like my perfume smell good from the very start to finish. Molten Caramel is probably much better choice of a caramel perfume from this brand, although Molten Caramel is pretty buttery, while this isn't. Caramel Cascade also smells pretty similar to Aquolina Pink Sugar, but with no cotton candy or licorice. April 2026 update: I was in a perfumery a few days ago, smelling different Middle Eastern dupes of Bianco Latte and pretty much every of them, more or less, reeked of white mushrooms. I think it's just my nose that registers something putrid in this DNA.
This is MY personal experience with this fragrance, as well as taking into account the reviews from everyone else. Everyone is so back and fourth about this fragrance, I just needed to try it for myself. I will also make slight comparisons between this and lattafa eclair. I cannot believe just how much this legit smells like root beer soda!! 🤣 It is IDENTICAL in smell. If you don't enjoy the smell of root beer then this probably won't be for you. I cannot stress that enough. I do NOT think this is a safe blind buy dupe of BL, I think Eclaire by lattafa is a MUCH safer blind buy. Also, two major things. I have noticed there were MANY people who said that they smelled mushroom, and also mint in this ? I personally do not get that mushroom quality but, root beer soda IS DESCRIBED as being slightly earthy from elements like the sassafras, So that could absolutely be why it comes across as mushroomy to others. Some people must be able to smell that earthiness in root beer more than others, and that's perfectly ok! Fragrance is different for everyone. Btw, I know this is obviously NOT ROOT BEER, but this fragrance shares so many qualities with the actual smell of root beer. As for the slight minty quality, I DO pick up on that! But apparently, root beer DOES HAVE A note of WINTERGREEN which could be why it comes across that way to others, and why it's picked up on. Comparing this to the the lattafa dupe, Eclaire is much more easy going, due to the fact of it not having A VERY STRONG root beer smell, or that minty quality. I personally smell a hint of something root beeresque in the lattafa one, but it's NO WHERE NEAR AS STRONG as it is in this. In the lattafa one, it's just a mild note that is in the background of that fragrance. While in this fragrance, it takes on center stage. In my experience the root beer quality stays from start to finish, but it's the strongest in the first hour or two. The sweetness between Eclaire and Caramel Cascade is also quite different. Lattafa Eclaire is almost like a powdered sugar type of sweetness, while this one feels like a brown sugar style. For me, this fragrance packs WAY more of a punch compared to the lattafa one. In terms of the sweetness and scent profile. Even though this fragrance is very sweet, it still feels like there is a cooling effect in the first hour. The longer you have it on skin, it seems to pick up in warmth. While eclaire feels warm from the get go but it remains almost airy in the sweetness. It's like you threw vanilla scented powdered sugar into the air and caught a whiff. It's sweet without being suffocating. Eclaire has a slight buttery quality as well. Like buttercream frosting, but you made it more powdered sugar forward over butter. Also, the caramel in this feels MUCH deeper and richer then is does in Eclaire. THINGS I DIDN'T SMELL PERSONALLY..... I've wore this fragrance all night and day, and I never once picked up on a rubber, plastic, mushroom or anything burnt, but that is JUST MY experience. THINGS I DID PERSONALLY SMELL..... I definitely smelled the root beer, and the mint. I personally love this fragrance. I do not think this would appeal to a majority of people though. I would HIGHLY suggest trying to sample this before buying it blindly, unless you find a bottle dirt cheap. I think this is different enough from Lattafa Eclaire that you could own this and that fragrance, and it wouldn't be redundant. While these two fragrances are generally in the same scent family, they are only like 50% similar. One last thing. For me, this is WAY stronger than Eclaire. It projects more, it lasted longer, and it has a lot more going on.
Taskeen Caramel wasn’t for me. On my skin, it turned overwhelmingly pungent and quickly became cloying. The honey and caramel notes, which I initially thought would feel warm and comforting, ended up feeling dense and suffocating instead. Instead of a soft gourmand sweetness, it leaned heavy and sticky on my body chemistry. That said, fragrance is deeply personal. I passed it on to a friend, and interestingly, it works beautifully on her. On her skin, the sweetness feels balanced and smooth, not overpowering at all. It proves how much body chemistry can transform a scent. For those who love bold, syrupy caramel-honey profiles, this might be a hit. But if you’re sensitive to rich gourmand notes, especially honey-forward blends, I’d recommend testing it on skin first.
@isaiahbluee there are far too many people who literally smell mushrooms in this frag, so you'd better watch your own olfactory system. The same fragrance can develop differently depending on the individual skin chemistry, so congratulations and go celebrate that this one works for you. For me and apparently others - not so much. I just tried once again (at a different phase of my cycle, because guess what, the cycle ALSO impacts the skin chemistry and the same frag can smell heavenly during ovulation but repulsive during menstruation, for example) and sorry, still mushrooms. And some milk protein with a hint of vanilla. It's a keeper though because my friends teased me about the scent so much that now I'm going to order a dress and a jacket made with mushroom patterned fabric. In their faces! :D
i blind bought this in store and went to return it after wearing it around for a bit. this smelt like liquorice and moldy cilantro, very funky!!! it didn't help that i had lattafa eclaire (hydrogen bomb) sprayed right on top of caramel cascade (coughing baby). the name is what drew me in, who doesn't love a good ooey gooey caramel fragrance! i feel like you could put in an extra $20 and get eclaire if you want a yummy caramel scent. overall very disappointed. 3/10 :C 🍮💩🥄 ˚₊‧
Everyone is straight trippin with these reviews talking about mushrooms, burnt rubber 💀💀💀 this literally smells like caramel, vanilla and sugar Yall got some messed up p olfactory systems
I have both Eclaire and Caramel Cascade for several months, so I only can compare these two. So, on my skin, these two are completely different. Eclaire is smooth and lactonic, with strong hints of creme brulee and a hint of vanilla. Caramel Cascade, on the other hand, smells like freshly chopped mushrooms (white champignons, to be exact) while the milk has just boiled over on the stove and you get the distinctive smell of slightly burned milk protein. And here, I'd be a bit sarcastic and serious at the same time. Caramel Cascade could be something that Serge Lutens might admit to. This fragrance is weird enough to be taken as released by his house. :)
If I let it dry down for about an hour or more, the tire smell goes away and it’s just ok. Not worth it. I’ll stick with Cream Velvet or Eclaire.
Oh, how determined I was to love her. But all the reviews on here are right; this is a hideous concoction. It's what I imagine the mythological changeling would smell like. Something monstrous wearing the flesh of a human. If caramel was Evil. Would layer with Eldo's Divin'Enfant if I wanted to make everyone in the vicinity throw up.
Omg, I just realised smelling it on paper smells like mushrooms with some sweetness. I use it as a room freshener. Also for some reason it makes me sneeze. Would never wear it on myself. I have had it more than one year btw. Eclair is way better.
