straight leather, although i really like the smell of it, unfortunately i am not old enough to wear it and i am 25. Think about it, as soon as you hit your 40s, blind buy it. If u dont like it, start blasting estrogen or wearing Reflection Elixir by Mykonos, which is the same thing
realistic and raw. absolutely in love with this exact portrayal of leather, doesn't get boring or too much even after a dozen sprays. truly a classic that everyone should try at least once, and preferably add it to their shelf.
Personally, this is my go to blue collar work cologne, hot or cold. My skin chemistry dulls the leather notes just enough to maintain a manly edge without being too in your face. Absolutely love it when I can't decide what to wear working night shift.
Compared to the original (Ombre Leather EDP), this new parfum version - is smoother - has a pleasant softness via the violet leaf, perhaps it's what gives it that slight sweet fruitiness - is comparatively more unisex, but also more sensual - retains the ability to let you close your eyes and imagine you're seated in a brand-spankin' new luxury car
Love it. The opening leather is a little much for me but as a leather fragrance I can appreciate it. But the dry down after an hour is incredible with the dry animalic leather becoming a sweeter, floral, violet and orris with those excellent woody, sweet tobacco and cedar notes. Have tried both parfum and EDP and agree, the EDP has a few more preferable notes of spice and patchouli. Probably buying that next.
I like this a lot, the opening is kinda rough and rustic with rich tobacco, warm oiled leather, and beautiful aromatic woods. It was a bit short lived for me as it was my favorite part. It actually mellows pretty quick and starts to show more wood, really lovely aromatic woods that reminded me of a little hand carved trinket box. Maybe slightly camphorous, still laced with plenty of smooth tobacco and leather. A couple hours in it turns to a much more smooth and rich ambery scent. Original notes are still there but more faint. It’s got a pleasant clean vibe in the background all through the wear, it’s persistent, and while an amber base makes sense here, I wasn’t sold about it and would have preferred some thing a little more dry and wooden personally. Still really well made, smells like a relic, or a collection of old man stuffs in a box together.
For me the green leafy violet leaf lasts for a few hours - the same reason I don't like Fahrenheit. I got around 6-7 hours which is good. I tested it side by side with the EDP and I really enjoyed that. Lucky I didn't buy a full bottle.
Is good. I was surprised that on my skin it was not stronger than the EDP. Smells are nice but i prefer the EDP
As I get older, I find myself more and more appreciative of warm leathery scents, and honestly Ombre Leather, parfum edition, epitomises all I love about this note. The opening is so reminiscent of snuggling into a newly minted leather car seat. It is enveloping sun-warmed leather; smooth and photorealistic, with a creamy floral undertone that becomes more pronounced the longer the scent develops on my skin. At that point, the strong leather accord fades, and the twinkling notes of jasmine with watery violet leaf really come into focus, marrying beautifully with an earthy orris heart pulsing and constant like a heartbeat in the depths. There’s little sillage to this scent but it lingers on my skin for a very long time. The reviewer who compared it to Ahmed Al Magrib’s Leather is spot on; the two scents are incredibly similar. However, Leather opens with strong vegetal notes that shimmer on the top, only later becoming Ombre Leather’s cute younger sibling for a while. Later still, it thins out and sits lighter on the skin in drydown. And crucially, it misses altogether the warm creaminess of Ombre Leather, which is what really drew me to this scent in the first place. Again it’s only the Parfum that gives this a lovely rounded quality to the fragrance that is missing from the EDP, which I also have. With such an extensive perfume collection already, I’ll probably end up gifting the EDP version to my husband or a friend. But the parfum? No. That’s a keeper.
Smells like miso soup
I love the smell, everyone around me not so much.
Beatiful leather scent done in a mature and sophisticated way. The scent has a slight old school 80s fragrance feel when they used to add leather and violet leaf into almost every mens fragrancces but made more modern with great longevity. Slightly less animalic and sweet than the edp. Definitley worth picking up if youre a leather fan and like old school type of scents
Photorealistic leather couch, if that's your thing.
A lot of hype for a basic generic leather/wood scent - Extremely Identical to The Tux by Maison Alhambra I went to sample it in store and It was so familiar but couldn't put my finger on it for some time then the memory came to me of where I smelled it before.. a £20 perfect 1:1 clone from opening, middle to base.
This was a christmas gift, the first hour u get a floral leathery fragrance but fades away from my skin very fast, even though on the cap bottle it's very loud, on my skin feels very intimate. I wouldn't buy it personally for the price.
After 4 month of using , iam sorry to tell you guys who love this, but it is a dislike , the opening its okay but on the drydown it smells like BO of 90 years old lady , i gave it every chance, but its a dislike, my girlfriend smelled it on tester paper and she said it smelled like old j*nkie man, so there you have my honest opinion
I was gifted this by a very close friend who lives in Norway, Am in east africa. Its fantastic for the night, the leather and petrol smack you in the face but after a while they start to like each other and smell absolutely amazing. It smells soooo good and lasts so long.
Absolutely gorgeous upon application. After three hours is smells like an old lady.
Original Ombre Leather smells like when you enter a leather shoe shop. This smells like you wearing a leather jacket with flowers(in this case violet and jasmine) embedded inside the jacket. I can't smell it after just 5 minutes on myself, it really overpowers the nose but if someone next to me sprays it, i get the waves of the perfume every 20 minutes, it really stays. It smells more of flower than leather and wood imo, but leather is always there. better version than original.
gorgeous scent. i like this more than their other leather scent as it finishes with a much more balanced smell. if you enjoy the other Tom Ford fragrances but feel they might be heavy on the single notes, try this one. i must admit that the projection and longevity of this suck. no better description. beyond the first two hours you likely will not smell it, and after 4 hours its gone. definitely check your local FB marketplace or look for online sales. not worth the full price by any means
If you think the leather is to soft here, layer it with Cuir Intense from Guerlain 👌🏻
Leather by Ahmed Al Maghribi is very identical in vibe to Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum. Same smooth dark leather style with warm woody notes. Tom Ford feels more polished and natural, but Ahmed does an impressive job for much lower price.
I'd be the first to shit on Tom form for pumping out overpriced frags but this is one is just so damn good. Fragrant and heavy with an insanely realistic leather accord. Lasts for ages and an amazing dry down.
The scent profile is simply out of this world! Sensual soft luxurious leather accord with buttery powdery orris root and floral jasmine sambac 💜💐very versatile as well! I can smell it all day every day and never get bored of it! Scent profile is heaven. The only downside is the performance, very weak for a Parfum concentration, even the EdP version lasts longer than this! 😒 A video review is also available on my YT ▶️
I was looking for a leather fragrance because I love the smell of leather. I am a leather craft and work with vegetable tanned leather a lot. I sampled memo paris italian African and iberian leather and oh my god I hated them. They all had this same garlic like spice to them and smelled absolutely horrible. I also sampled cuoium and that was horrible. It smelled like a macho biker thats been bar hoping and chain smoking all night. Anyways I smelled ombre leather parfum and the normal one and they were both very nice. I didnt think they smelled like a car seat or anything. I ended getting the parfum for Christmas and on my skin you can really smell the violet leaf to the point where thats kinda all I can smell. On paper i got the jasmine and it was beautiful. It gave it this sweetness. I freaking love jasmine. The fragrance definitely doesnt smell like leather its more of a soft floral with a under tone of animalic. I dont mean a scary barn yard animalic just this dark kind of smell.
People say this is so nice because is masculine and adults might like this much more than me at my age, but honestly it smell like straight up shit
I really like Tom Ford’s Ombré leather, very strong and to me I did not like the first smell, it was too strong at start then as I smelt it through the day the fragrance grew on me and now I love it
Redundant if you have Montblanc Explorer Extreme.
This frag separates the men from the boys.
it smells like play-doh to me?
