Libre Flowers & Flames

I have wanted to try this for so long and finally got the chance today and may i say i was dissapointed if anything. On me this is a perfume that easily could be a unisex perfume. I would not have known this was a ysl libre meant for an elegant woman as the description says, my boyfriend could as easily wear this as any woman. For me this is a smokey-coconut perfume. I got some of the lavender in the beginning but now an hour later i have none of that. I would not say that it is spicy either and definetly not sweet. I can however get why people like it and would want to wear it, but for me its a no sadly.

The best of the whole Libre line! It has energy, character and flirty vibes. Very universal, perfect for casual date, but also suitable for office environment. Feels suitable for all seasons. Like, you cannot go wrong with it.

No coconut smell, or palm tree greeness. Above it says coconut-palm-tree-FLOWER which is a fantasy floral note, not the coconut food. To me it's OG Libre with more orange blossom, which I like! Adds a little white lily, and the lavender is slightly less than in the OG. I prefer this to the OG Libre, because I like white florals the best. Fresh and nice!

The magic is in the dry down! This will smell exactly like the OG within the first 30 mins of spraying it once it fully dries down this is so nice! Still will retain a bit of the OG DNA in the background but it smells soft, feminine, warm, and yes a little creamy. A nice understated version vs the more loud flankers! Still don’t fully understand the name, if I had to rename it properly (IMO) this could’ve been called like “Libre Undone” or “Libre Soft & Sensual” … no smoky flames over here!

A luxurious floral scent with a soft powdery touch. It smells refined and sophisticated. On my skin, the different notes play off each other beautifully and everything feels well blended, with no distracting or unpleasant accord sticking out. This is actually the first YSL fragrance I’ve truly liked.

This was a blind buy and my God do I regret it. This gave me an instant and nausiating headache. I tried to rub it off, followed by a shower but I could still smell it the next day. It reminds me of my old grandmothers closet. I’m so surprised so many people love this because it’s such a heavy, dragging, strong scent. Nothing fresh here. This is a winter scent to me. Edit: I tried it again and got no headache. Maybe it can grow on me? Will try this again in winter. For now I am happy I didn’t get rid of my bottle.

It's so clean and sophisticated. Feels younger than the OG but still the rich, polished, put together vibe. The sweetness is soft and subtle, never cloying, no headache. Beautifully blended. One of the perfect bottles.

This is absolutely lovely 🥰 a bit softer and fresher than the OG as the lavender is not as prominent. Very fresh but in a delightful sweet way with a bright but slightly milky coconut. This will be a perfect spring and summer scent for daily wear.

I have a soft spot for the entire YSL Libre line, owning several of their Libre flankers and having loved the note of lavender long before it was trending. Libre Flowers & Flames is the warmer weather alternative to the original, with an added note of coconut palm blossom to evoke the scent of a tropical destination holiday. Libre Flowers & Flames is a softer version of the original Libre EDP. The orange blossom continues to dominate the scent pyramid, however, there is a lactonic creaminess underneath which appears to be a blend of vanilla lily and coconut. Do not expect a sweet, synthetic sunscreen or a heavy gourmand coconut. This is a green, milky coconut derived from palm tree flowers. It provides an airy, lactonic smoothness that buffers the soapy edge of the orange blossom. The lavender has taken a bit of a back-seat in this flanker, and although still discernible on skin, it is not as prominent as it was in previous Libre EDP and her flankers. I know that Libre Flowers & Flames is marketed as a warm weather scent, however, the sweet, milky and lush vanilla and coconut accords are a bit too heavy for hot days. The Australian summer would turn this fragrance sickly, so I would recommend Spring or Autumn as the appropriate seasons, (especially if you reside in a hot or humid climate). It is marketed as an 'Eau de Parfum Florale,' whatever that means. The floral aspect isn't fresh-cut or delicate. It is a dense, "cooked-by-the-sun" white floral blend that manages to feel simultaneously clean and incredibly sultry.

Nice florals in the opening. Dries to vanilla pepper amber. The coconut is subtle creaminess. Great for both going on a date or running errands.

The Yves Saint Laurent Libre line honestly surprised me. For a long time, I didn’t really understand the appeal, but lately I’ve found the DNA completely intoxicating. I ended up owning three versions: YSL Libre Vanille Couture, YSL Libre Flowers & Flames, and YSL Libre Le Parfum. They all share the unmistakable Libre signature, yet each feels distinct. Le Parfum leans rich and sensual with a warm honeyed vanilla drydown. Vanille Couture is beautifully vanilla-forward and easily my favorite. Flowers & Flames, though, was the biggest surprise — the coconut really shines from the heart into the drydown, giving it a soft tropical warmth that feels perfect for summer. It made me appreciate the Libre line in a completely different way, and now I’m genuinely curious to see where YSL takes it next.

Very similar to the OG, just a bit smoother..

When I first sprayed this I thought "Oh great, another Libre with a different name," but as it settled the florals came through and it felt a lot lighter than Libre. I don't get any coconut which is a little disappointing, but it is very pretty overall. I get light, airy florals with the notorious Libre vanilla as the base. I could see someone wearing this as fall is coming in or during the spring where there is an early morning chill.

I have to say, this perfume REALLY grew on me. I initially bought it last Christmas and found myself a little bit disappointed; it was nice, but a bit too strong for my taste. I let it sit for the last few months and now that it's Autumn here in Australia, this is so beautiful! Very sophisticated and blended incredibly, it's hard to comment on one note in particular because they all go so well together imo. Wear this when you want to feel put together and chic, be careful not to overspray though!

This one IMO, is definitely better than the original; softer and more creamy with the florals and coconut! sweetened by the vanilla, easier to wear with slightly beachy vibes..

This version of Libre feels like it was made for me. Truly it’s like they took the concept of Libre and mixed it to blend in with every other scent I own. So lovely!

Beautiful just not as long lasting as I thought it would be. 2 hrs before it turns into a skin scent. I know some say this is a vacation scent but if you're going somewhere tropical this only works at night. In the day the sun will eat this up so fast. No longevity in day in tropical climates. On me I don't smell coconut but I can smell it on others skin.

really strong - too intense for me. can't smell anything but lavender- the other scents are muddled and just smell like "perfume"

I like f&f out of all the Libres the most. It's a bit toned down version of the original, more flowery, gentler. Still just as elegant though, I'd say perhaps even more. The original Libre is head-strong to me, this is a smoother version of it. Very nice fragrance.

Very strong floral with a different note from the other flankers, maybe it's palm or lily, but I don't smell any coconut. It's unisex. It reminds me a little of versace blue jeans.

This is my favorite YSL flank. This perfume is one of my top 5!

the best libre hands down. this is a beautiful, creamy, almost smooth fragrance. i hate the OG libre because to me it was a migraine in a bottle, so i sold mine. but flowers & flames.. so, so, so beautiful. i want to wear it everyday. i feel beautiful, comfortable, radiant. this one is a compliment magnet, just like the others.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s my ultimate go-to for parties and date nights. It never fails to turn heads and get compliments.

After being a long time repeated lover of both Libre & Libre Intense for years, I jumped to a blind buy after seeing all the positive reviews about this new one. Especially as people noted a coconut mix to this. I've never been so disappointed in my life! LOL! Absolutely hate this one! At first spray you definitely know this is a Libre sister but then seconds after all you get is a sickly overpowering lavender that made me want to gag! I sprayed this all over my wrists, inner elbows and chest before testing & couldn't get rid of the awful smell. I tried it again on clothes and really forced myself to love it... BIG FAT NO for me. For any Libre lovers, please test this one before jumping the gun LOL! LAVENDER OVERLOAD!

For the super duper sexy, ethereal, expensive LADIES. You walk & your sexy energy is a magnet, one has to turn & see WHOS THAT GIRL? 🤤🤩✨ I’m speaking as a native 33 year old woman from the GCC gulf Middle East, countries like Emirates & nearby countries alike, in our culture we are very particular & have specific vibe for our fancy night outs & THIS is definitely one that would be an easy & frequent reach. 👠✨ “Flower & FLAMES” 🔥 is a very accurate description, it’s for the ladies that like high end flowers but make it sexy & captivating. Im not even a lavender note fan, but here it’s added in such a way that is beautiful. 🌺🥀 I know it’s pricey but all you need is 1oz/ 30ml on sale buy it online & keep it for those dates or fancy night outs! I’m sorry I’m not able to describe the scent other than sexy! They took classics like orange blossom, coconut, lavender on a vanilla base but made it sexy bomb 💣 so all I can smell is a sexy concoction. 😆🥰

Have never smelt the original Libre but this smells very white floral. I usually love white florals but this smells a little too strong to me (I think I prefer lighter scents). Despite the somewhat intense scent profile and what many of the reviewers have pointed out on the amazing longevity, it didn’t last that long on me - both my boyfriend and I couldn’t smell it after 5 hours, and he couldn’t have gotten nose blind to it too because this is the first time I’m meeting him with this perfume on, and I only met him after I’ve had the perfume on me for about 5 hours so….. It is objectively a nice fragrance, just smells a little too strong and boring to me 🤷🏻♀️so it’s just a ‘like’, not a ‘love’ for me

More floral and feminine Libre with typical Libre DNA. Very enjoyable and long lasting.

If I were going to get one of the Libres, it would be this one. This is creamier and smoother than the OG and has a slightly beachy feel (not at all like Beach Walk or any of the other sunscreen perfumes out there). That said, I'm on the fence about this line. There's something about the Libre DNA that smells like fancy car air freshener to me and it just feels so heavy on my skin.

My third addition to the Libre line after Le Parfum, and L'Absolu Platin. Flowers and Flames is not heavy and definitely not sharp like OG. I do not like OG Libre for some reason. FF is pretty, elegant and can be worn daily for any occasion. Longevity is decent. Definitly more fenimine vibes compared to OG.
