9am Dive

Feel the Afnan style, there is something generic from the Supremacy line. Compared to Victorioso Legend (Myth) - 9AM Dive is more citrusy, fresh/harsh. Victorioso is more sweet/friuty/cozy. Similar DNA Compared to Lattafa Fakhar Black - not much resemblance, Fakhar Black is much sweeter, really close to YSL, completely different.

Smells like a fruiter version of Y EDT and BDC had a baby. This fixes everything I had an issue with in Y EDT. This is an amazing scent.

Honestly just doesn’t smell like much at all, get a very faint YSL Y and then tin-like smell from it but that’s it. Gonna let it sit for a few weeks and reassess, but just okay as of now.

I honestly think fresh fragrances like these are dope. The crisp apple, minty, citrusy opening is amazing. It's fresh, clean, and not offensive. Than once it dries down, it still has hints of citrus with woody notes in it. This is a phenomenal fragrance from Afnan, and I'd say it's a 8.5/10. The only downsides are it's performance and longevity, but it still is an amazing scent. It's a great under $50 budget price range buy for the summer, and it's a safe blind buy.

Better than some of the other blue fresh-style clones. Honestly, I get that DNA more than Bleu de Chanel, although I can still understand the comparison. The main thing I smell is pencils. Fruity pencils. The musk also gave me a headache, which doesn’t usually happen. I liked this a lot at first, but the woods and incense became much stronger as it matured, and they eventually ruined it for me. After only a few sprays, I started feeling overly nauseated. I don’t really get any mint here either. I don’t know. This just matured very poorly for me. 3.5/10

This becomes very good after 2 or so months of maceration

10 minutes of scent. My son and I both got this from different places, and we both experience the same thing: the scent disappears quickly. There are so many better options for a summer scent. This is not worth the $ unless you want to keep respraying every 10 min.

It is a very good starter fragrance and suits every type of person, and was a stepping stone for me to get into fragrances, fresh, you can wear it anywhere, and it lasts and projects very decently. to me smells way better than 9pm that has got me a complaint that i smell like a bad uber driver.

I am a geek for fresh, clean, male and aquatic scents. Thought I bought this for my hubby, I find myself using it when I need to run in the morning. Love the quality for the price. 8.5/10 for me :)

I have plenty of blue freshies and I can't seem to part with this one(trying to decrease my collection). It's not ground breaking or doing anything new, but its uplifting, consistent, and familiar. I reach for this over my sedley, dylan blue, and turathi. Also hard to beat the price.

Afnan 9AM Dive – Review (8/10) Afnan 9AM Dive is definitely a summer fragrance and one of the better fresh releases I’ve tried. Right off the opening, I get a fresh burst of citrus and freshness. It immediately reminded me of Y Eau de Parfum, but with a slightly sweeter twist. After about 30 minutes, the scent starts to transition and that’s when I begin to pick up similarities to Bleu de Chanel. The cedar, &, sandalwood, come forward, giving it a smoother, woodier character while still keeping that fresh vibe. The apple adds just enough sweetness without becoming overpowering. Performance is excellent. Like the rest of the 9PM line, this fragrance projects very well and has a loud presence. I never found it to smell synthetic—it stays smooth from opening to dry down. Overall, this is a safe blind buy if you’re looking for a versatile warm-weather fragrance that smells more expensive than it is. Fresh, woody, slightly sweet, and easy to wear.

For people saying this smells like any other ‘blue fragrance’ out there are you seriously a cologne/perfume connoisseur/reviewers? So you’re telling me this smells like Dylan Blue? Or Azad Zanzibar limited edition? Or Dolce Gabana Little Blue? They all smell different. This one smells like Bleu de Chanel eau de parfum with the manly touch of incense compared to the regular BDC eau de toilet, but only after 2 or 3 minute of spraying. I haven’t smelled YSL Y but people here say also smells like it. It’s a safe fragrance to use at any ocation, any time of the day, or any season (of course if you’re new to the cologne world and it’s your fist buy) that’s why I said it’s safe if it’s your only cologne.

I hadn't sprayed this since like 2024, or at least cannot remember doing it any later than that, but I forgot how good this smelled. It did open up quite clary sage/lily of the valley-heavy even though it didn't list those two notes, and the dry down has a handful of nuances from Spicebomb Night Vision EDP... that slightly resinous pepperminty sweet, pop-y vibe. Overall for it's price it's quite a steal...some snobs may find it generic but it smells crazy good for what it is, and it's quite a perfect gift with the box it comes in lol Solid 8/10, can't really go wrong with this hybrid/tribrid scent profile (mostly reminds me of YSL Y EDT, a bit of Bleu de Chanel and also Spicebomb Night Vision EDP, mind you this is just to *my* nose)

Kinda smells gay not gonna lie but it smells alright

This is an absolute hidden gem. I got a little sample set of the 9am/pm line, and this didn't stand out much at first, especially with how much the other flankers have going on. I sprayed them on tester strips first, and this just smelled like a clean, generic blue. The others were JPG and Aventus clones (bit smells!), so this got lost in the shuffle. I just sort of wrote it off as not that interesting. Fast forward to a pretty hot day a few weeks later, and everything in my collection feels like too much, even my lighter citrus scents. I thought, well, that 9am Dive was pretty inoffensive. Let's give it a shot. Mannnnn, this thing is incredible. It's a really lovely, fresh, mildly sweet blue opening, but it's not shower gel-y. It's solidly in fragrance land. It smells expensive, like it could be a BDC flanker. It entirely lacks that cheap, synthetic, dryer sheet smell that a lot of the Polo and MYSLF and Invictus lines have that I cannot stand. And after lasting that way through several hours of high heat, it dries into this unbelievable, musky, woody, almost vetiver-y (I know it's not listed but the dry down makes a similar accord) kind of smell that I can't stop huffing from my elbow. It makes my clothes smell good, it makes my sheets smell good, it's just an all-around win. I nabbed a bottle off Amazon for less than thiry bucks, and it outperforms my Chanel to a frankly annoying degree. I cannot believe you can get a fragrance like this for so little money while $160+ designer fragrances smell like Fabuloso dryer sheets. You can't lose on this one.

I'm convinced that what Afnan did here is borrow elements from all the popular blues on the market to make this lovely scent. What I can say is this is a very good shower gel style fragrance, though I do admit I am biased towards blues, gym freshies, and aquatics, so this is very much in my wheelhouse. Blast of mint and lemon in the open, green apple (not too sweet) with a hint of incense in the heart where I also get the sensation of ozonic/marine, and a nice gingery sandalwood base. It's nothing earth shattering, but they did a great job combining dna to make something that'll be very mass appealing and safe in gym, office, and casual use. If you close your eyes you can pick out where the YSL Y EDP comes in with the apple, the BDC mint/lemon/incense, the Acqua di Gio ozonic marine; I don't think it'll blow anyone away but it was under $40 for 150ml and is well blended. If I struggled with picking a clean blue for daily Summer wear, this could easily fit the bill.

Very basic blue fragrance. For the price its not bad at all. Performance could be better. Great for work and the gym. 6/10

Bought it as a gift for my father, but i secretly also wanted to test it since I'm interested in getting it for myself eventually. I really like the smell, its sexy, pretty much what i expected when looking at the notes here. Sprayed it around 4-5 hours ago and i can still smell it when i move my head around, but its not as strong as other Afnan perfumes. Im guessing after a month or two of maturation this will be much longer lasting. Even as it is now, its a fantastic perfume, great value for the price.

It smells like every blue fragrance ever made. IMO, if you don't want a big collection, just get this one and you are all set. On the other hand, that is the exact reason why people with multiple blue fragrances say that it is boring. I really like it, and I just hope that maturation will increase the performance a bit.

got it, had it for a week, traded it away. scent is okayish, but its very weak and gives headaches in a couple of sprays.

If you are looking for a blue fragrance that encapsulates all the best parts of the blue fragrance genre, honestly, this is it. Versatile, year round, inoffensive fragrance. Maybe boring for the connoisseur, but for the average guy, this stuff is hard to beat.

I can smell the comparisons to blue de Chanel. Also, the Ysl y dna, but very very lightly. Not a bad juice at all. A little uneventful and average but still good. Great dumb reach, will probably use this as my new main work fragrance

Smells like a mix of BDC and YSY Y. Not overly sweet and synthetic either. Only downside is that the longevity is quite weak. If it was better on that front, this would be perfect for the summer.

A nice fresh, citrus opening that really made me enjoy this fragrance. It stays there for awhile before drying down into a more aromatic scent despite the aquatic vibe you get with the packaging and bottle. Doesn't have great performance, only lasting 4-5 hours max, but it gets the job done as a cheap day time middle eastern fragrance. 7.7/10
