Rare Reef

Here is the deal for me. I I think this is an awesome fragrance. I mainly use it for the gym and spring/summer office. I did not know it was a dupe and could not careless. The thing with the word "Dupe" is it sometimes can take away the scent value of the fragrance. People say " it has a twist" on some dupes. Dupe or not, this smells amazing to me.

Citric and fresh but too basics

Afnan Rare Reef🌊🍋 This is definitely a summer fragrance! ☀️🔥 You’ll get some similarities to LV Pacific Chill, but honestly, it’s not that close. I’ve smelled others that match that DNA much better. Rare Reef has its own twist—very citrusy, sweet, and almost a little honey-like. To me, if LV Pacific Chill and LV Afternoon Swim had a baby, this would be it! 😂🍋🌊 And the projection is CRAZY loud. I sprayed 5 sprays and could smell it on myself constantly. Definitely go light on the sprays because this one doesn’t play around! From the very first spray, I loved it. Definitely recommend getting your hands on this one for the summer! 🔥 Rating: 9/10 ⭐️

Fresh citrus peel scent.

Ive just bought it and personally it's GREAT! its rich good summer smell it lasts a long time on me personally and its just really refreshing.

It’s a really good scent. It’s not anywhere similar to pacific chill. Great affordable summer fragrance. Pleasingly and I find myself reaching for this fragrance. Longevity in this fragrance is very bad. May be it’s my skin or it’s just a new bottle. I will let it sit and see if performance changes.

This is a more salty, ambery take on the PC DNA. It lasts really long and projects very well, but it's definitely a big twist on the DNA. The added amber which makes the fragrance smell less sharp and fresh than the OG in favor for a more smoothe, designer esque take on the DNA. It almost smells like Pacific chill mixed with a bit of Versace dylan blue, or as if paco rabanne or another designer house tried their own interpretation of PC. It's a great scent with solid longevity but its definitely less fresh and brisk and more smoothe and ambery.

I had it from a while , doesn't smells bad but smells like a generic male body wash, will probably declutter soon.

I tried, but this just isn't it, in my opinion. The citrus accord is too aggressive and synthetic — there is a very sharp, foul note in here that I can't quite name, but it smells intensely bitter. Might be the citron or orange they use, or something. I genuinely am not trying to offend, that's just what I'm smelling. I'm literally comparing it side by side with the OG, Hawas La Mer, Pacific Aura, and Maison Asrar Vision, and only Rare Reef has that piercing, bitter note. I therefore cannot say this is close to the OG, nor that it is worth purchasing, especially when the three clones mentioned above do it much, much better. ⛔️Unfortunate

For me, it smells like a zingy apricot with better than average projection and longevity for a citrus-based scent. Can't compare to Pacific Chill, but on its own merits, this is a beautiful, unisex scent if you're looking for something bright, effervescent and fruity for hot weather.

A very good quality citrus fragrance! Without a doubt, this would be a nice gym scent. I am planning on either using this by itself, or layered with other fragrances! Love how this adds freshness to literally anything. In a breeze, the fragrance is all around refreshing. Good sillage and very good longevity on clothing! The fragrance is masculine leaning, but I believe a sporty or confident woman who isn’t super feminine can pull it off. I feel this fragrance can be layered with another more feminine woody, aromatic or floral fragrance, and it easily becomes an awesome fragrance to have for women! I haven’t smelt Pacific Chill (which is very expensive) but if you are looking for a refreshing fragrance to give your nose a break from overwhelming scents, give this a try! Especially considering the price. If you like citrus fragrances, I’d say this is a safe blind buy as well!

My god what a banger, comes on strong with that lemon boom, but as time goes on it's so chill and refreshing, damn what a scent hahaha took me by surprise, and it's cheap too!

The best summer fregrance.

My favorite citrus fragrance in my small collection ,, it's juicy , refreshing and has a good performance I noticed some hints of marine notes and musk in the dry down however it has some negative points • the orange note here smells so synthetic, not realistic at all , it doesn't smell like orange peel, not orange juice ,, it's just like any generic orange candy if you know .. not bad at all but not realistic • I didn't like the fig but I'm glad it didn't last for long

This has to be the best fresh scent I’ve ever put my nose to. From that sparkling orange peel opening then with the apricot taking over, you just have to trust me and smell this. Plus it gave me good 8 hours and 3 hours as a skin scent. 8/10 as a fresh scent. Impressed

I like the smell, but it's too much like 7up and liquid dish washing soap for me to want to wear. Might change my mind after I punish ts by throwing it in maturation jail.

I liked this a lot when I first got it, but the DNA feels a little dated and youthful to me now. I’m honestly glad I saw other people mention the vomit-like smell, because there really is something weird here that completely throws me off. Maybe it’s a batch issue. I don’t know. But blackcurrant can sometimes create that kind of effect, and I definitely smell it here. I also don’t think this is anywhere close to the OG. There are at least 10 other options that get much closer. Pacific Aura, Vibe, Pinnace, and several others do a better job. I don’t really see a reason to buy this unless you specifically love the fruity side. At that point, you might as well get Hawas or something similar. Not for me anymore. 2.5/10

I was very excited for this and at first it smelt really synthetic to me for some reason. It felt like Window cleaner, but that settled down as it dried. But after few months of occassional usage i started to like this a lot.. it doesn't feel synthetic as it used to before.. my nose just found its way to this i guess.. and i'm in love with this scent. A blue lagoony tropical fruity bomb, that's what it is. Lasts long, has a good performance and i found it good to wear even in heatwaves. Heard this smells like the LV Pacific Chill, some people say it's even better. If it's true, then i really have no need to buy LV PCH ever. But if i get the opportunity, i'll be excited to try it out. But this, Rare Reef, might be one of my best summer scents for now.

Another solid cheapie from Afnan. I'll be honest, the first 10 minutes are a bit screechy and synthetic-typical for middle eastern clones. But let it settle. It dries down to a fantastic, salty marine-wood scent. Performance is nuclear for a freshie; I get 8+ hours easily on skin. If you enjoy the Kenzo Homme EDP or Profondo DNA but want to save your money, this is a no-brainer

People kept talking about how ME perfumes needed maturation to smell good. Never really bought into it, sounded like a marketing gimmick. Blind bought a bottle in March. I did not hate it, but I was left disappointed. I felt it was not refined and blended well. It smelled rough around the edges. But now in July, my oh my, all that maturation thing was true. It now smells so smooth and high quality. The opening is so refreshing, a juicy citrus burst of orange and mint is mostly what I am getting in my nose and it does not smell synthetic at all. The projection is super strong in the beginning as well. I usually do around 3-4 sprays and it is more than enough. Gets me noseblind pretty easily, people around me smell it when I dont even notice it after a while. I get this herbal kind of note in the drydown, maybe its the basil and it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Overall, in my opinion, a quality fragrance especially considering the price tag.

Tried a decant and was sold. Really strong, really pleasant. Beautiful blend of fruits and spices. For under 35 euros this is a no-brainer.

Happiness in a bottle. Fresh and long lasting even though i get nose blind in an hour but my roammate says it stays all day.

Absolutely inconsistent smell and changes over time from a really artificial fig and blackcurrant smell. Then dries down to a blackcurrant and apricot depression. Perfect comparison to a landfill if it was full of fruit. 😭✌️ Waste of £45
