Damn, that is one strong oriental scent. I get woody vanilla and dried plum from this. It's SO strong it makes my eyes and my nose burn. I cannot think of an occassion for wearing this perfume.

This is everything I wanted hypnotic poison to be and smells at least 5x the price that it is. Odd that Avon decided to discontinue this one, but then I felt the exact same way years ago when they discontinued far away fantasy. Now that was a sad day……

Yes! There's YSL Opium underneath there! The original spicy balsamic Opium, but made modern and newer. A dash of Vanille Fatale TF, this perfume is good. Dries down woody, vanilla, dry powdery.

I couldn't wait to get rid of it after 1st smell

Now this is a perfume. Very impressed with this Avon issue! Vintage and classic yet very on trend right now, at the same time. For me, Royale recalls LouLou, Cinnabar, Poison, those type oriental/white florals.

Анонім

Awful, I can smell coriander only for first 3 h. Drydown slightly better, but not worthy waiting so long.

Such a gorgeous scented perfume!!! My absolute favorite from AVON. I loved it so much that I compeletly emptied the bottle in like 3 months...

Far Away Royale by Avon. I remember smelling a scent strip of this in an Avon brochure and the first thought that came to my mind was Hypnotic Poison but unlike HP, it's not quite as heavy on the almond-y Play-Doh smell, but nicer. I also like the packaging nod to HP's red bottle with the black cap. Hmmm. I might try this instead of getting a bottle of HP...to me it'd be like a good place to try it out without the hefty price tag.

Wow, this is a great, sweet fruity floral that smells way more expensive than it is. Whereas Velvet Orchid is too bombastic for me to wear, this fits the same bill but is more wearable. I got a few 10ml Avon scents for dirt cheap and there's more than one hiddem gem here! ....... Now I'm into the drydown, it's got a twinge of Angel too, but again, easier to wear. Love it! ...... Far drydown is like Lost Cherry

Very nice and luxurious..smell more expensive than it actually is. it's not sweet at all but not it's fresh...go figure! Just pure class in a bottle ♥️

I WANT this very badly just to even try and sniff. Will North America ever see this beauty in Avon. Probably not. SAD.

for me this opens with myrrh, peru balsam and coriander...i am pleasantly surprised. a couple minutes later i get some vanilla and maybe a hint of plum/jasmine but it's subtle. over time it becomes a plummy myrrh with vanilla. it's dry and somewhat sweet. lovely and one of the better avon fragrances i've tried in recent years. trying in colder weather: more plum this time, more sweet, but still the myrrh and peru balsam help from it going overboard. the plum comes right out from the beginning too.

On my skin, the first 20 minutes were extremely "plasticky". Now I can smell very little fruit and flowers, but (still a little plasticky) coconut and lots of vanilla. Nice fragrance so far. Will have to wait longer in order to evaluate its performance. Update June 30: amazing longevity for more than 20 hours, although I washed my hands several times! The scent is very sweet but it doesn't bother me at all. It smells expensive and performs like fragrances 10 times its price.

This scent reminds me about some old scents by Yves Rocher or Amber elixir by Oriflame. Could be from 80s. I prefer Far away rebel, other flankers I haven't tried. I try to sell this away. Updated review: Today I tried this again and now I like it! I'm going to keep this. Now I can smell plum, spices and vanilla. Later: Now I can appreciate this scent, I love it and prefer it over Far away rebel.

This scent is very intense. Woody, very woody floral vanilla, I also feel ambroxan and other synthetic elements that can burn your nostrils if you put your nose to close to the skin. It can fill a room with a few sprays. It smells a little bit arabic and reminds me of a few niche creations. Very interesting scent, I would not think it is from Avon. It doesn't smell cheap at all. The bottle is very pretty.

Blimey this is strong!! When I first got it, all I could smell was an antiseptic type of smell. I put it away for the colder weather. As its snowed and freezing cold (UK) I got it out again. When first sprayed I did get the faint whiff of antiseptic but I persevered. Yes it's very strong and I didn't douse myself, just one spray. I went about the housework with this strong fragrance leaving a trail. After about 40 minutes I went back into the room I sprayed it in and noticed a beautiful rich vanilla smell with rich spices. On my wrist its a heavy vanilla, spices and Oud Much as I love the drydown (the perfume is still powerful) I can't wear it although it's smells gorgeous on my clothes. Sadly I've had to change my top, as the gorgeous fragrance is giving me a headache.

At the beginning, it seems to me the same as Far Away Gold. But as it opens, I could smell a huge dose of vanilla and all possible spices. Longevity and sillage is excellent - all day long on my clothes. The bottle is really gorgeous. But the fragrance is heavy. Myrrh + Peru balsam + vanilla. It suits so much for big fans of oriental (even too oriental) spices and scents! In any way, Far Away Royale is beautiful in microdoses.

I'm wearing it today after a long time. I am going to give it to a friend because of its powerful vanilla, but its mix of darkness and sweetness (IMO) is quite intriguing. I feel like it wears me and not the other way around. It's powerful. I already have Olympéa and that is all the vanilla I needed in my life. I collect Far Aways because my grandma used to sell it to support the family during harsh times. I like the slightly masculine dry down os this one, although Glamour is my fave with the delicious dark fruits in it. FYI my collection doesn't include the original Far Away, nor Aurora, which has aquatic notes that smell weird on me, neither Splendoria, which is too close to my beloved Alien on my skin.

I was presented a sample by my Avon lady, although Far Away is probably the only scent on Earth I actually hate, but the poor woman just didn't know that :) But a sample is always a sample, so I tried it on a day I didn't work. Well, unfortunately there is a noticeable Far Away DNA in it - a way less overwhelming, but noticeable vanilla-avon base I dislike. But I was surprised to actually find this dry, warm and comforting amber scent quite nice. Overall, not my cup of tea, but better than expected. It lasts for good 6 hours without reapplying, the silage is moderate, still, I wouldn't recommend this for office, as it clearly can be headache- or nausea inducing for those who are sensible.

I get it from my Mom as a gift, because she thought, I'll love it. At first sniff it wasn't a big love, but later i started to like it more and more. Now it's one of my favorites for winter, cause it's rich, warm, somehow exotic a bit, and sweet, but not the toothache type. The red bottle is imo perfect choose for the scent. I don't like the original Far Away, but these flankers are one of the best lines of Avon.

Анонім

I wore it last night, it is comfy, ambery like a cashmire swater snd I also got a compliment from a woman girl(she likes very classy scents, she is not constantly searching for new releases or new scents). And for this price, smells amazing and a lot expensive. Btw, where in this ******* world this smells like Vanille Fatale?🤣🤣🤣🤣 127 broken noses out there lol

Oh wow! Love the spice! Very daring, bold, seductive, balsamic, spicy, warm, comforting yet sexy. Totally in a league of it's own in terms of the Far Away family. Potentially, maybe it could be a unisex fragrance, but I find it's more feminine. A good evening or autumn scent - or even just wear for the feel good factor. This reminds me so much of Avon Rare Rubies! Love ❤️

Анонім

Far away Royale is an oriental fragrance that is warm and balsamic. I prefer wearing in winters mostly as this one stays really well during colder times on me. I sniffed it and loved it immediately. The vibes are beautiful, resinous and warm. Totally in love with this intoxicating fragrance that also projects well. The bottle is really pretty and reminds me of tom ford vanille fatale somewhat.

Анонім

I had high hopes for this but its got a plasticy coconut note that's really unpleasant And yet it's not listed anywhere on the avon or fragrantica sites? Very annoying I also think that Avon has to many far away flankers now...they are starting to just produce a fruity mess 🤔 Edit: I gave this to my mum. I had to ask her not to wear it when she sees me...its vile 🤢

I bought Far Away Royale because it shares similar notes with one of my favorite fragrances, Boyfriend by Kate Walsh. They both contain plum and jasmine on a resinous, dusty base (by "dusty" I mean like the pages of an old tome rather than anything unhygienic). This is not a very sweet fragrance, just sweetened enough to temper the resins. I really love it! But I am not sure I will end up keeping this, because I have to overspray like crazy to get any kind of noticeable scent and even then it disappears too quickly for my liking. I think this might be good to layer with darker ambers. The bottle looks so lovely on my shelf that I may end up keeping this even if I am displeased with its performance. Will have to see if this performs better in the summer, the scent truly is lovely and not cheap smelling.

Far Away Royale begins with an interesting blend of subtlely dark & fresh fruits and the sharper sweet/spicy sprinkle of coriander oil. It's tricky to try to explain; the mix of fresh & darker fruits, and the herby sweet & spicy sprinkle of the coriander all develop at once, in a energetic rush. The energy rush soon calms a bit and let's us get to the expected nod to the blueprint of the original Far Away not too long after the fresh-sweet-spicy mashup, with the classic traditionally feminine white floral heart of orange blossom and jasmine, mixed with a soft vanilla & Neroli. There is something that seems like a more masculine leather accord in the base; perhaps this is this the combination of Myrrh, musk and balsam? This quickly transforms into the faint impression of a incense, as amber & sandalwood develop and helps everything run together more smoothly. The longevity & aura for Far Away Royale is impressive for the price - it wears for a complete working day (eight to nine hours) and carries about a foot for several of those hours. I think that Far Away Royale is a really impressive release in the line, and has just pushed Rebel & Diva out of my personal top 3 favourite editions in the Far Away line (Beyond and Rebel are my other top recommendations). Far Away Royale smells much more expensive than it is, and the longevity & aura is up there with the likes of Dior and Kayali. A bargain buy, that I highly recommend trying out if you like the listed key notes.

Quite nice for avon it reminds me slightly of linterdit rouge on first application.

I'll be writing a more detailed review soon - I've just realised what Far Away Royale always reminds me of, and I wanted to share... This reminds me a bit of the long-discontinued Hilary Duff With Love edp. I'm very pleased by this; With Love used to be one of my favourite fragrances when I was younger, but when the juice for it ages, the scent changes. So now you don't waste money tracking down bottles like I have done in the past, as you can just try Far Away Royale instead.

Far Away Royale, I'm sampling this with a tester that just arrived in the mail. Upon first spraying this, this begins with a note which is almost like a fine liquor...this smells warm -- like the notes in an after dinner brandy with hints of toasted coconut shavings. This reminds me of some decadent desserts that I have had while vacationing in tropical places like Hawaii or the Bahamas. This first liquor/coconut smell - resembles a brandy liquor drizzle glazed over the top of coconut/vanilla ice cream. There is a richness to this fragrance which definitely reminds me of more niche' fragrances. As this perfume wears about 15-20 minutes, a light hint of salty Play-Doh emerges with what smells like an expensive lipstick/cosmetic note. It is as if the first liquor/coconut smell morphs into a slightly salty Play-Doh. The general vibe of this is a warm balmy type smell with some inviting coconut/salty Play-Doh notes make this more playful and like you are enjoying a vacation. There is a hint of sea salt in the air. There is a refreshing quality to this fragrance chord almost as if there is a slight hint of peppermint in the mix towards the final phase of the dry down. There are elements to this that make this smell almost like aromatherapy. I can see this having a therapeutic effect on whoever wears this and smells this. About 30 minutes into the wear of this, I pick up a slight hint of a sandalwood incense which is an alluring and attractive warm and inviting chord. The Play Dough subsides and the notes morph more into a smokey incense. There is still the warm brandy boozy type note in this chord - along with vanilla ice cream. This perfume is really quite yummy! I agree with the other reviews that this is a new twist on Avon's Far Away perfumes. This does not have the slightest resemblance to the other perfumes that I have smelled in the Far Away collection. The only common theme would be that a number of these Far Away perfumes by Avon seem to have smokey incense notes to them - that appear somewhere in the unfolding chords. I like this direction. This is unique -- I don't think that I have smelled something quite like this. The closest thing that I can think of would be the original Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder... but really, I like this much better. Avon's Far Away Royale does not have the suntan lotion vibe that Bronze Goddess has. (It is more elegant than a casual perfume that hints at sun tan lotion). The dry down of this more closely resembles Versace's Crystal Noir...with slight hints of a vanilla - balmy coconut. Avon's Far Away Royale could be worn in a number of settings. This is sweet, alluring, playful, fun - and could be worn day or evening. I feel that this leans more feminine, but the initial chord of this is strong enough where this could possibly be masculine. The dry down leans more feminine. I like this one, this is definitely worth exploring. It is a little more balmy than the notes that I am typically drawn to, however this is a new fragrance niche' for me. This is definitely worth exploring further.

Tangy, creamy, coconutty, sweet. Kinda boozy. Thankfully not too generic, to my nose. Some Play-Doh for sure, but I've always loved Play-doh so that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not a fan of Avon scents at all, would pass up on most, but some of the scents from their Far Away range are pretty good!
