Circus Fantasy

My Circus Fantasy has arrived today and I didn't suppose it would be so gentle, not to say weak, but it's still so lovely. Absolutely amazing and smells like 2000s! Britney perfumes really have always had so much soul. They do lift your spirits and are a pleasure to wear.

I’ve been a little late to the game for Britney’s perfumes. But they’re just so fun! I love Circus Fantasy! It’s one of my very favorite perfumes for springtime. It has a tartness to it that I just love. I’m not sure if it comes from the raspberry, the sweet notes, or both. But it’s really sweet and almost demure in its own fresh, tangy, floral-aquatic way. It’s truly very lovely.

Light, aquatic. This is a throwback for me and it’s good. I personally think it’s unique compared to her other scents. Not overly strong or long lasting.

It lasts under an hour on my skin. It is not a sweet fruity fragrance as is the original Fantasy. The aquatic notes provide a lighter, airier and non cloying perfume. Great for the summer.

If smelling cheap was a definition, it would be this perfume. I don’t like it at all, it smells even cheaper than it costs, plain and artificially sweet.

It's more floral and fresh than I was expecting. Not as sweet as you'd think. Fresh, clean and inoffensive, it's nothing special but it is nice.

if a raspberry and a orchid covered in water had an affair baby that eats wood, 10/10.

Orchid is the star of this fragrance on my skin. It's not cloyingly sweet. Ideal for summer and spring. To me, this is a clean spring/summer scent that's great for warmer days. It's a slightly effervescent orchid supported by fruity notes. It's reminiscent of Enchanted Orchid by Bath & Body Works and Liz Claiborne Bora Bora.

Highly doubt it's good for me. No evolution, simple odeur, holds about 1-2h, initially ok projection but disappeared in 30 min max. Do not hold on clothes, and on skin neither. Maybe, it's me.Have heard lots of nice reviews about it from other users though.

I was expecting a little more as I enjoy many of the Britney Fantasy range. This is light and sugary and floral. Basic but pretty.

Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears is probably one of the most “basic” entries in the Fantasy line… but not in a bad way. To me, it’s a very straightforward sweet-fresh scent. It leans clean, slightly fruity, and lightly sugary, without going too deep into any specific territory. Compared to the original Fantasy by Britney Spears, this feels much lighter, brighter, and way less dense. It opens fresh and a bit citrusy, with a soft sweetness underneath. There’s a shampoo-like cleanliness to it—almost like freshly washed hair or a fruity body mist. It stays pretty linear throughout, not evolving much, which adds to that “easy” and uncomplicated feel. It’s pleasant, easy to wear, and honestly quite inoffensive. But at the same time, it doesn’t really stand out or do anything particularly interesting. Performance is moderate at best—it lasted around 4–5 hours on my skin, with soft projection that stays fairly close after the first hour.

Its flowery, with all Britney’s scents vibe. Not offensive but not special. Edit: it’s the least impressive of all fantasy flankers. Super basic, very similar to original fantasy only more flowery. I’m not into it.

I finally got this after a long while! My Britney collection is growing a lot more than I'd like to admit but who cares, that's beside the point! Now let's dive into Circus Fantasy.. I actually adore this! Not nearly as much as Fantasy and Fantasy Sheer.. But for a flanker? My goddess, she's in the top 5 of my Britney collection! And just BARELY.. I think what I adore about Circus Fantasy is that this is very much a fruit shampoo scent that I can actually get behind and I think it's because of the delectable sweet, CLEAN clean musk drydown. This is a very clean fragrance but it's also got a sugar sweetness to it (Because of course, it's Britney bish..). I've gravitated toward clean and flowery more these days but Circus scratches an itch for me when I want sugar with my clean lol and like I said.. I still idolize Fantasy/Sheer (They are just idol perfumes! this isn't up for debate!). Circus is very much a well put-together woman (Or young lady) who is clean, put together and confident.. But a little playful. It opens very bright, sweet and sugary.. And it stays sugary quite a bit. It's essentially a blast of sugar and raspberry. It isn't aquatic to me, but somewhere between air and water.. I appreciate it for not being entirely one or the other. It lends to its uniqueness. The drydown is divine and where the clean musk, vanilla, sugar and raspberry all settle on a bed of woods and violet (I LOVE WOODS AND VIOLET YESSS!!!). To be honest everything about this perfume is stuff I like aside from the overdose of raspberry but that settles down and it isn't grossly sweet to where it cloys me (I'm looking at you Midnight Fantasy, which I SADLY cannot wear because of how beastly and cloying it is with the plum overdose..). Circus Fantasy surprised me. Moreso for the fact that I really thought it would be my TOP favorite but.. Instead it is just confidently in my top 5 Britney fragrances (I know you're wondering what they are so: Fantasy, Fantasy Sheer, Fantasy: Intimate Edition, Believe and Circus Fantasy.) Circus Fantasy kicked Curious out of my top 5 and only because for all intents and purposes, Curious is a bit boring and too "vanilla" if you will. I still adore that scent too! Circus is just more fun and flirty while still being beautifully clean, feminine and a pop of energy! Final review stuffs: It lasts for hours on me! Smells beautiful on my skin! Adore the drydown.. Even better when sprayed on clothes and it dries down and my clothes smell like sugared musk and flowers the next day!!! Day or night this is a very versatile, pretty perfume I think you can wear for almost any occasion.. Be mindful when spraying, you can definitely overspray! I say go easy on it at first then find the right dose! AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE GOURMANDS DON'T BOTHER because she is VERY sweet and she WILL let you know because that sugar and raspberry is there from open to heart to dry down finish LOL. This is a CLEAN fresh girl shampoo gourmand (Like almost all of her scents smh LOL). Like really if u don't like the fresh, shampoo clean girl 2000's y2k vibe of the perfumes from that era idk probably avoid most of Britney's frags. Solid 8 out of 10!!!

So at first I really didn't like this but then I tried this perfume on again during the hotter seasons and it smells so good!! Not overpowering at all just a super fresh scent like freshly washed laundry. Would definitely recommend for spring and summer just not for winter.

This definitely for the young girls and young adults. It’s a sweet fruity floral perfume I had it when it was first released, and used up the whole bottle.

Did not like this at first 😮which is mad since i now think it’s my fav of hers it’s an unusual smell first spray but addictive u can’t stop smelling it prob the violet candy+gets better the longer it dries like popcorn& Parma violet sweets and toasted marshmallows at the cinema definitely one of her best 9/10

This is a very nice smell it almost feel for both men and women seems it’s a very mature funny, but not very sweet as the other fantasy perfumes

it smells like clean fruity fresh in a way also to me it smells unisex, very long lasting kind of a heavy scent but the dry down is amazing..

Tart and juicy in the opening, dries down to a sweet powdery floral with slightly peppery woody musk base notes. Smells like Pixie Stix and flowers! Very fun and playful young scent.

Love the packaging, love the name, love the bottle's color scheme. I'd even say Circus Fantasy has the best color combo of any Fantasy flanker out there! The frosty blue glass touched up with deep ruby-red crystals? Aesthetically it's irresistible to me! But unfortunately this perfume bottle's good looks and enticing name cannot live up to its disappointing innards. I was so looking forward to this one, but first sniff was a letdown. You're first hit with a pokey, raspberry scent. But not a sweet raspberry, it's more on the sour, tangy side. This perfume's sweetness comes from other notes. The watery florals do most of the heavy-lifting. There's definitely something aquatic going on. Don't waste time looking for the vanilla, you're not going to find it. At least, I haven't yet. Weirdly enough, now that I've resprayed my year-old bottle, I'm detecting some faint lemon in the scent, but lemon is not listed, nor did I ever smell it before. Perhaps it ages that way? Circus Fantasy seems to be fairly high on a lot of reviewer's rankings of the Fantasy line, but I cannot for the life of me find the appeal. I'm almost at a loss for what to do with the 100mL bottle I have, I've barely made a dent in it. The scent is not vile, it's tolerable and I can wear it with no suffering. It's just finding the will to want to.

Circus Fantasy is one of the blandest fragrances on the Britney Spears line. You can wear this at the gym, running errands, wear to a casual workplace or school and smell pleasant. It lasts 3 hours and I used to wear it to the gym. Other Britney scents are sweeter and this one is more aquatic, like Island fantasy. Island Fantasy is more citrusy though. I'm not purchasing Circus Fantasy again because I have other scents that work well for the gym, too.

Smells good, like a sugary flower shop. Good as a soft, summer spray or even the office. Probably a safe blind buy for the gal in your life.

This fragrance is an overpowering powdery floral. Don't be misled by the listed scent notes like vanilla, sugar, or sweet tones—they simply aren't present. The bottle design is lovely, but the scent is old fashioned kind of great grandma vibes.

I bought this for the raspberry note as I hunt down every raspberry fragrance, but I can't smell raspberries in this. Unless it is a dry raspberry-in-potpourri kinda note. .a hint of apple and cherry is also present . To my surprise this isn't too sweet because it also smells herbal there's a soft powdery thing going on that keeps it from smelling too sweet, or something but it is very sweet.. dry Kind of sweet. But fresh at the same time. Like a fresh potpourri smell .. At first I get a sophisticated tangy zesty smell but then I gets whiffs of floral cinnamoney vanilla that retains some zesty tangy note to it... (now I know after reading the description that they used zesty raspberry, and apricot blossom is a soft fruity powdery note) ...then I could also say I get sour cherry.. or apricots and herbs... I thought I might be detecting the lemon verbena note that is in hidden fantasy but nothing listed in notes says lemon or lemon verbena or any kinda grassy herb.. yet i get spicey cinnamon apple cider boiled with orange rinds sometimes too. Or more like Christmas mulled wine without the fizzy alcoholic touch. This is super mysterious and impossible to pin down and I never smelled anythinglike it .. like a mysterious fairy flipping and dancing while still having also a mysterious and elegant personality and she is wearing crystal jewellery out in the sunset. I absolutely love this unique gem It s like a moving festive tent full of morphing fairies that come out at sunset. Because each time I smell it I get a whiff of something. Hidden fantasy to me smelled indeed like a hidden lemon verbena cupcake or an herbal zesty cake that u just got to wait for it to appeare as the scent develops into it. It is indeed hidden because when u smell a zesty herb u usually don't expect a cupcake full of spice and everything nice to pop up. both hidden and circus fantasy remind me of mulled wine and christmas and potpourri scent near the fire place If u wanna know how this circus fantasy perfume tastes like in an herbal tea, u should try cherry herbal infusion by ahmad tea. Has rosehip, cherry, apple, hibiscus and other flavours in it. I think red plants have a component that make them smell similiar kinda..

I think this is cute for a celeb perfume, which I usually tend to stay away from. It's a fun, fruity scent in a neat bottle. The tangy raspberry and waterlily are strong, and they feel light and fantastical. That said, it's definitely a scent for a younger audience, as I think is the case with most celeb perfumes. The performance is also quite bad, and it disappears quick.

Very, very sweet. The raspberry is very prominent for me, a bit too sharp and overpowering. It’s also more artificially sweet, which makes sense with the sugar note. Unfortunately this sharpness/sweetness doesn’t combine well with the aquatic notes on me. I tried mixing it with a Drop D’Issey to see if I could tamper it but alas it didn’t work. Longevity is fine-ish. A little better than a body spray. I got it for only $20 at Shoppers Drug Mart for 100ml here in Canada so not a major loss. I’m going to trade it to my sister in law for a bottle of her Curious.

I changed my mind after coming back to this scent today I really love it! It’s nostalgic for me. It reminds me of good times. Kinda sweet, kinda floral, kinda clean and aquatic. Very pretty fragrance I like that it’s not overpowering. I’ve been in a funky mood lately this made me feel better. I feel like the bottle needed to macerate a bit for me to enjoy it but now I can’t get enough. I love the OG Fantasy best but this is its more fresh, aquatic sister.

Beautiful citrus and aquatic smell. This has to be one of the best fragrances that miss Britney has released ❤️
