Midnight Fantasy

A lot of people compare Dark Kiss and Sweet Like Candy to MF, so I want to give my take on the vibe between them all: Midnight Fantasy is the middle sister between the two. She's a nocturnal dreamer, dark fairycore, ethereal, seductive. She's dark berries, soft florals and creamy vanilla. Dark Kiss is like Midnight Fantasy's darker, romantigoth elder sister. She's sultry, mysterious, wears black lace, and dark romance. She's dark berries, velvet burgundy roses, plum and creamy vanilla and musk. (My favorite of the 3) Sweet Like Candy is Midnight Fantasy's sugary little sister. She's flirtatious, coquette playful, sugary femininity. She's tart candied berries, fluffy, vanilla and soft.

I was intrigued by the scent's notes, and by the beautiful bottle (more specifically the bottle's color), though when i did manage to smell this it just came off as a sort of grape flavoured vape? Super synthetic, reminiscent of something juvenile appealing in a wrong manner, and fruity in a shallow sense (even moreso than what would be expected from a celebrity perfume launched in the 2000s), that is the only way I can explain my perspective on it.

My favorite of the Britney Spears Fantasy perfumes. Uplifting, juicy, sweet, fun, nostalgic, midnight but not warm dark a fun-loving kind of dark, everything I want in a perfume. The plum, sour cherry, and raspberry notes are DIVINE. I can't even fully put into words how lovely Midnight Fantasy is. The bottle is beautiful as well. I can smell this on me after all day especially if I get a lil bit on my clothes. Easily always going to be in my top favorite perfumes for life.

Smells like lotion to me. Not necessarily a bad thing, it smells good. I just don’t see how someone would combo this. It definitely has potential, it’s very feminine. Kind of reminds me of a Victoria secret perfume or lotion. It’s not really unique but for the price it’s great.

I’ve owned midnight fantasy since maybe 2020-2021. I have an absolutely horrific and memoir-worthy period of my young adult life heavily intertwined with this fragrance, that being said I think it’s a safe blind buy and overall has mass appeal. It lasts maybe 2-3 hours, not long, but is so affordable that I don’t mind. It lasts many days on clothing, though. The sillage and projection are incredible with regular reapplication. I still have never received more than one or two compliments in my five to six years of owning this perfume. It’s good, not great. Juvenile and clean in a very comforting way. The bottle is iconic. I’m glad to own this perfume and will restock when I eventually run out. I believe it’s a necessity for all young women to own britney flankers, at the very least this one.

IMHO the best perfume out of the most ICONIC celebrity perfume line. This beauty has been with me since I was 16, now I'm about to turn 26 and I still love it, although I wear other scents now. Midnight Fantasy truly smells y2k, we know fruity perfumes were the most popular choice of that decade, however, it doesn't smell dated at all. When I got this perfume I thought it smelled like berries jelly powder. 10 years later, my point still stands. It's super juicy, fruity, and also quite clean? it kinda gives condicioner/shampoo scent depending on the weather. I found it layers well with creamy vanilla scents (like cloud, velvet petals, choco musk, bare vanilla). The performance is what's really surprising. Idk if my skin loves this dna or what, but the longevity AND projection of this cheapie is insane. I've been complimented on it multiple times over the years. I will be forever repurchasing this because of the nostalgia, I will always have a Brit perfume in my collection. Her music and her perfume line made so happy on my younger years and continue to do so. The fantasy bottle is also the prettiest design a celeb perfume ever had.

I learned something important about myself today. I absolutely HATE LOATH DESPISE raspberry notes. It comes across like nasty medicine

My favourite Britney/Fantasy fragrance. Too good for being a 'celebrity perfum flanker' or this price, Sabas was really inspired here. Love it.

midnight fantasy smells like the perfect mix of cute and flirty with a litttllle bit of mischievousness to it. it is sweet and affordable and you can pretty much get away with wearing it any season any time of the day which makes it even better. Oh and it gets compliments as well. I can see why it is not for everyone but i think it is a stealll.

This is a non offensive fruity scent that’s suitable for day wear and easy on the nostrils. It’s an easy pick up if you want something that’s not going to take over a room and is work friendly. I’d definitely say it leans more fruity than vanilla and the price point makes it very budget friendly

I love this fragrance, it’s affordable and sweet but not too sweet. I love mixing this with bath and body works secret wonderland, they have similar vibes. You can wear this anytime anywhere.

I bought a big bottle for the nostalgia since I’d gone through a 1.7 oz over the years. Way back in the day Ulta offered perfumes as rewards, and I chose this one. It’s stood the test of time. The most indulgent cherry plum amber with depth. It’s fruity, a bit floral, but mostly alluring. People lean in to smell it.

Disappointed by this one. Smelled sharp and synthetic (and not in a fresh, shampoo-y way). I got straight blueberry hairspray out of it. Really unpleasant to me - maybe I got a bad batch? :( Hopefully the rest of the Fantasy line isn't like this!

One of my favorite perfumes ever, has stuck with me for years and its one of my more preferred ones i use whenever im about to go out, definitely a number one choice for a date because of its smell!

Smells like clean soapy blueberry candy sugared plum to me, it’s so yummy. My family member said I smelled like a blueberry muffin. This is what I imagine Blueberry Muffin from Strawberry Shortcake smells like, even though it doesn’t list any blueberry notes. If you like shampoo soapy artificial candy-like fruit scents, this is a great one. Love it ^_^

My favourite of all of the Fantasy flankers. It’s sweet and juicy with a prominent cherry note that feels more sophisticated than you would expect for the price. The cherry note does disappear after a couple of hours, but is replaced with a beautiful sugary, vanilla-ry musk. It gives very Y2K vibes and smells similar to a lot of other fruity fragrances of the time, most notably one from Escada that I can’t exactly put my finger on and Victoria’s Secret love spell. I find that it lasts a lot longer than the other flankers, especially on clothes.

I used to love this, but over the years, not so much. I never got the shampoo smell. I do feel like it's a nighttime perfume. And I do feel like it's a little childish. I will try it again in the future to see if I still feel the same about it, but I'm not hopeful that I will.

This is so beautiful!!! It gets even more ethereal and sophisticated when you splash water on the parts of your body where you sprayed the perfume. A lot of people say that it smells like shampoo which I think is true. But it's a bit elevated. To some people, it may smell like a vape! To me, it smells ethereal but a bit generic. It's a safe blind buy.

Midnight Fantasy does not try to be conceptual art or highly complex perfumery. This fragrance projects youthful femininity, flirtatiousness, and Y2K nostalgia. It does not communicate quiet luxury or minimalist sophistication. Its intention is to be attractive. chilled syrup. There is an accord that recalls red fruit drinks or violet candies, but it is balanced with enough acidity to keep it from becoming completely cloying. The heart introduces freesia, soft iris, and synthetic orchid. This is where the classic DNA of many feminine fragrances from the 2000s appears: a clean, cosmetic shampoo-like sensation, but coated in purple sugar. The iris does not create a sophisticated powdery effect in the style of classic French perfumery; rather, it works to soften the fruits and create a velvety texture. Although the notes are sweet, the composition conveys a nocturnal and fresh sensation. I love this fragrance, but my only issue is its performance. It barely lasts four hours on my skin, and I don’t like having to reapply. I wouldn't repurchase it, although I still think it is a good perfume.

i don't dislike it, but i feel like the cherry note in the opening catfished me in a way. it really carries the first thirty minutes or so, i can definitely still smell the shampoo-ness of it then but the cherry sort of adds this depth to it... imo it really brings all the fruits together. they're definitely a little plastic like, but to me it feels like that's part of the charm. once the cherry was no longer with us i was kind of thrown off. it goes from a shampoo-like perfume to a scent that feels like a shower product potion i might have made as a kid. it's actually really pleasant, both clean and sweet, but it's also pantene shampoo mixed with berry body wash in my grandmother's bathroom in 2008. it's confusing to my brain kinda. i want to say it's juvenile as a scent but i can't tell if i think this because of the scent itself or because of the memory associated with it. overall i like it though. it's definitely not what i expected, but i found it really wearable. i also want to eventually try the vintage version since i heard it's less shampoo-like but idk if that's happening anytime soon.

I was expecting blueberry cupcake and plum, instead I got bubblegum and artificial candy. It's beyond juvenile, not even a teen fragrance, more like children's shampoo.

Plum- yes, but dried one, almost smoked. It's so strange but I can feel like an odour of smoke/ fireplace. Very interesting. Definitely, will be nice for colder, darker months to wear. Can see it work great in gloomy weather. I like it quite much. For me, intriguing and puzzling smell, that I want to try more to solve this mystery. Holds on me about 3-4h, with moderate projection. Overall, nice surprise. Recommend

Dark berries Hair conditioner 💜

I really wish I liked this as much as everyone else. I was looking forward to the 2000’s vibes it was supposed to give off and was instantly disappointed. First of all, the smell is EXTREMELY strong. I can smell it on myself even after hours of wearing it and the smell bothers me. Second of all, the smell gives me a huge headache, I don’t know why but the smell is just too sickly sweet and strong that I absolutely despise wearing it. Third of all, this smells like cough medicine to me and I’m not getting any 2000’s vibes. Really disappointing because I was hoping to love this.

Very long maceration helps with this one. The fruity notes hugs you in the first spray, and then melds with the floral middle notes in the first 30 minutes. It’s amazing! This one easily lasts me 6-8 hours all throughout my shift. I love layering it with gourmands, it adds zing!

Smells like a summer fruits version of Did it Again but it also smells cheap unfortunately. It would be a nice in a reed diffuser however!

To be honest when I saw the notes for this I thought it was going to have similarities to Sol De Janiero 59, but surprisingly not at all. I think the other fruits really elevate the plum scent. This fragrance reminds me of a fun night out :)

This is such a nostalgic scent to me. Its like the prettiest berry shampoo type of scent, great for mixing with other scents <3
