Eau Parfumee au The Vert

i usually don’t notice the bottle, unless i really love or hate it, but with my first spray, i noticed that the atomiser was great! the perfume however, was disappointing. the scent was very similar to a lemon-honey medicinal strepsil. very very similar. unfortunately because the notes are very enticing, but its delivery is disappointing.

This scent is a classic for a reason: it smells fresh, refined and is suitable for many settings and occasions because it should hardly bother anyone. Given that this older version is an Eau de Cologne, stellar performance should not be expected. However, I must say that it still radiates from my clothes after more than 12 hours, albeit with an intimate sillage. This is definitely a solid choice for hot summer days when one craves something different from the standard citric and aquatic fragrances.

Very good fragrance and its unisex but very common bcs mamy fragrance duped this. SPL is very well, and I got 6-7 h on my skin...

I bet someone who hates perfume, would love this. It´s the least perfume like perfume I have ever smelled, and that is not a bad thing at all, but it´s the best way to describe it. It reminds me of a very luxurious face mask I used once, cant remember which one though, but it was a very herbal clay mask. It truly smells like a spa, deep in nature full of trees and plants by a hot spring and a waterfall, all natural and very clean (but without the clean girl aesthetic kind of clean, this is not a musky mess). It´s serene and divine, it takes your mind somewhere else, it´s meditative without smelling hippie dippie or incense like. It´s not feminine, not masculine, but truly unisex, not warm not cold, just neutral and it just IS. Not anything you´d wear doing random stuff like work or running errands, this is what you´d wear after a challenging day, taking a warm shower and then putting this on to comfort yourself before going to bed. It´s an aroma therapeutic experience you give yourself. It took me a long time to find a vintage bottle secondhand, it didn´t come cheap, so it´s a shame it´s so mild and longevity leaves something to be desired. But maybe that´s what makes it beautiful, it really is a perfume just for you, and no one else around you, to better your mood, for days where you need comfort and silence. I´m saving it for those days as it´s perfect for that. I wonder why they reformulated it to have so little notes in the new version, it´s a shame, because this is truly beautiful. I haven´t even bothered to get the new 2025 formula. It´s getting harder and harder to find the original bottles secondhand now :(

My sister got a sample of this and I was OBSESSED. There's an alcohol smell when you first spray it, but it quickly fades, revealing a nice citrus scent. It's a bit essential-oil-like, a nice, clean scent. The citrus doesn't completely overpower the floral middle notes and the green tea base note — the combination is seriously...MWAH! It's truly unisex and reminds me of drinking ice cold lemonade on a windy summer day, under a tree, in a field of grass. (just rambling atp.) ANYWAYS, I really love it BUT...the sillage freaking sucks. You have to spray it a million times and to even have a trace of a scent. The longevity sucks too. And this really devestates me! Cuz it's awesome otherwise! Ugh!

It smells like a traditional Javanese or Balinese massage during a calm midday. The air feels cool and cloudy with a gentle breeze. The scent is refreshing, soothing, and deeply comforting.

came across a few times (as an amenity in hotel in Europe and Asia). longevity and sillage were so so, but its a beautiful JCE-designed scent, simply excellent.

They give u the perfume when you fly with Emirates, that's how I got to smell it. It smell like a spa, it's a nice scent, very clean, shampoo like and sophisticated!

mt fave perfume and scent ever... had it growing it up gifted from someone and made my mum obsessed with it... cant get it here in a good size anymore unfortunately. will always rake out the cash to import it though because its the best. amazing if u love citrus perfumes and its very tea like. 11/10.

This one was one of my all time faves growing up as a 90s baby. I’ve kind of forgotten. I really need to smell and have it again.

I have been obsessed with tea fragrances the past several months. Most have citrus notes, and this one is no different. However, that’s where the similarities end because this has discernible spices. There’s strong cardamom and some coriander. While it’s not a tea scent profile I prefer, it is interesting.

If i had to choose one fragrance to have as my shower gel / shampoo / conditioner / body scrub, for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It's forever imprinted in my mind after spending one summer in a high-end hotel where they used exclusively this fragrance in their bathrooms. Of course I had to search for the EDT bottle after that. The aromatherapy effect is so soothing, relaxing and mellow, not only It's the first rendition of a tea note in a fragrance, but still one of the best ones. A minimalistic classic.

Bulgari’s Eau Parfumee au The Vert was the debut of Jean-Claude Ellena’s minimalist, fresh, watercolor style. It’s the perfect 90’s zen fragrance. It opens with a bergamot accord so dry and gray that at first I was afraid this would be a boring one-note affair. But no! It opens out beautifully. Citrusy, lightly jasminey, and full of the softly green, slightly bitter scent of green tea powder. It’s delicate and sheer, but surprisingly radiant; it perfumes the air around you. Like most scents in this light, fresh genre, it’s unisex and breezy, and something you could wear in high heat or in conservative environments. It suits me perfectly; if I had to pick a single “signature scent”, Au The Vert would be in the running. In fact, it’s what I was originally looking for at the beginning of my “perfume journey” when I fell in love with the green tea/jasmine opening of Zoologist Macaque but couldn’t handle the monkey-cage stinky dry down. Turned out I just wanted to be a 90’s minimal-chic cliche.

If, for whatever reason, you ever find yourself wishing that this scent could be bottled into a hair mask— try Japan’s Gyutto Hair Mask. It has a green tea and yuzu scent that brings me right back to this perfume.

I got a sample of this on that mail today,perhaps a new packaging or re formulation is coming? As of today feels very generic,nothing that has not been done before Fujiyama is the perfect dupe and probably will cost less than $25

This scent is just lovely. The green tea accompanied by just enough citrus and musk. There's also a little bit of woody scent in the background. It does get powdery which I understand is not for everyone. It just hurts me to say that this scent has no projection or performance on my skin. 5 mins after spraying it will become a skin scent that will evaporate after 2 hours. Overall pleasant scent that is unfortunately not worth buying.

Meh! I was really excited to smell this after having a random memory of thoroughly enjoying the luxury hotel bath line from a boutique resort in Playa Del Carmen. This perfume barely smelled like my memory of that bath line… In fact- it barely smelled like anything at all. I sprayed the card again and again hoping to get more scent, and was overwhelmed by alcohol. I thought maybe some other reviewers were being harsh on bvlgari for not being strong… but honestly what a joke! FYI- you can get the soap/shampoo bottles on Mercari!

Slightly busier EA's Green Tea. Feels like too much, too many notes for something that lasts not even an hour. I mean... it's a pleasant, but very unnecessary perfume.

This (and Thé Blanc) has been re-released as an EDT now, with Ellena as the nose. The EDT is much longer-lasting, with a creaminess that the EDC didn't have. Great stuff for fans of this scent.

For me, this doesn't scream 'tea' but it smells fresh, like you've just taken a soapy outdoor bath (which I've not done). I discovered this scent in Florence, Italy. Every time I smell it, I'm brought back to the place where I fell in love with this perfume-- in a little apartment with a view of rustic rooftops, the great cap of il Duomo rising in the distance. The fragrance of Thé Vert mingles with the crisp winter breeze, its sparkling citrus florals swirling through the room, carried by the echoes of faraway church bells. It smells of quiet mornings, of something impossibly clean yet soft, like linen left to dry in the cold.

Love tea scents and this does not disappoint. Only wish it had more projection. It’s the type of fragrance you enjoy for personal use, after hopping out of the shower, just before bed. It’s dry and clean, even excessive sprays wouldn’t kill your nose or anyone around you.

This smell reminds me of The Four Seasons. Back in the day, this was there complementary toiletry line and they gave rather generous sizes of it as well. I remember thinking, you know your at The Four Seasons when what is typically some generic shampoo happens to be Bulgari products. It was incredibly neutral, inoffensive, gender neutral, and probably ok for people who have fragrance sensitivities or allergies. It would make the perfect work fragrance or something healthcare workers could wear to work. I thought about adding a bottle to my collection but tea scents just don't do anything for me. I have one already and that's plenty for me.

This one is special for me! I got to know this scent when visiting Vienna. I was looking for a nice fragrance and I fell in love with this scent! Only I had Extreme version. I loved the greenness of it, the bergamot notes, the freshness. It sets the mood - crisp, clean, healthy, sober. No harshness. When the bottle was finished, I got distracted by other choices in perfume world for many years until I realized I miss that scent which was unrepeatable. And no, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea is NOT it AT ALL. I sought out this perfume again but the Extreme was discontinued and I purchased to original one. Yes, this is IT! It hits the memory just right and probably better as there is no harshness and heaviness as in Extreme version. I used it for a while and then…. I GAINED WEIGHT. Of course, not from the using Au Vert but because my diet was a hot mess. Interesting thing happened with the weight gain. My sense of smell changed. Au Vert was nothing to me. I craved heavy perfumes with silage and extreme longevity. Preferably sweet. So Au Vert had been parking on my shelf for several years. And then I LOST WEIGHT. I cleaned up my diet, said Chao to alcohol and Hello to morning workouts and lots of unprocessed and nutritious foods. My weight went down and I started looking for NATURAL scent. My perfumes were too heavy, too sweet and too synthetic. While smelling gorgeous, Angel’s Share stopped hitting the spot. I wanted something fresh without ozonic, not too musky, something like green fresh juicy… and then I remembered - Au Vert! I took it off my shelf and OMG! This is it! Again! It has a certain music to it that I love. It is not only the scent, it is a mood.

I first smelled au the vert in the form of shampoo and conditioner while house-sitting. I fell in love and washed my hair more than necessary during my week-long stay. I ordered a small bottle pretty quickly afterward. Unfortunately, I found that I prefer it in the form of hair products. For some reason, it just smells better in the shower. I feel similarly about many lush scents. I never reach for this anymore, but I would love to own a bottle of the shampoo.

This is my first try Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Vert, a 1992 release that I was previously unfamiliar with, a highly pleasant, fresh, well-blended assortment of citruses, florals, woods, and spices. Citruses mix with cardamom and coriander over lily of the valley and a prominent green tea note, drying down to tonka and beeswax to sort of add a powdery, creamy aspect. The green tea (and a greenish vetiver-type experience) are the most significant aspects of the fragrance, but it’s a great example of a blend put together by a master (in this case, Jean-Claude Ellena) of concealing specific notes in favor of a cohesive blend, creating something new out of different parts that doesn’t smell much like any of the constituent parts, with the notable exception of green tea, after which the fragrance is named. Overall, I love it, a classy freshie with a lot of quirks wrapped up into a pleasant unisex experience, and a use of green tea that is not particularly heavy-handed, but rather, restrained in concert with a lovely varied ensemble of citruses, spices, and florals, inoffensive but inarguably quite nice. Its concentration is eau de cologne and fittingly, its performance is decent but not great, yet it still makes an impression after a robust opening into a mellow dry down. Retail pricing is $115 for 75ml, but it can be found for $76 for 75ml on FragranceNet, a very reasonable deal for such a classy perfume. 8 out of 10

Incredibly mid, au the blanc is a much better pick

Bvlgari Au Thé Vert is the most multifaceted fragrance I own and my favourite by far. It's hard to stop myself waxing lyrical about this fragrance: to me, it's like a bell ringing in a forest clearing, or a ripple of water in a clear pond. The green tea accord, white florals, and powdery notes supply a clean, deep, backdrop (like still air or calm water), then the citrus notes and spices enter with their gentle reverberations. The spices are present but never overwhelm: coriander and cardamom add savouriness and depth, and I can also detect the earthiness of cumin. During the first month of wearing it I did get the mosquito coil / DEET association other reviewers have made, but thankfully this faded – either my nose adjusted or the fragrance developed with time. And if this smells like bathroom products, it's only the ones from the most luxurious 5-star hotel you'd ever hope to stay at. I understand the comparisons to Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea but Au Thé Vert is miles ahead in terms of complexity and overall quality, and less "juicy". Armani's Thé Yulong comes close but substitutes the spices for subtle smokiness. The design of the bottle with its frosted glass and heavy cap shaped like a stopper is also beautiful, and creates a very fine spray, although I wish the label wasn't paper so it didn't wear away. Sillage is minimal even after spritzing myself with it generously. Longevity is weak to moderate, fading within an hour of wear, although I can smell it on my skin when I jump in the shower at the end of the day. I'd love for it to last longer but it also seems fitting for it to linger only a little longer than the time it takes to savour a cup of freshly brewed tea.

If you like Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, this is like a higher quality, more sophisticated take on that type of scent. Green Tea is definitely the prominent note. The florals are subtle enough that masculine people can pull this off as a daytime Summer scent.

Received this from my aunt a couple years ago and liked it so much I repurchased, even though I'm usually a fan of smokier, darker, more woody and animalistic notes. The tea note is interesting enough for it to not read as a boring grandma smell, and the powdery scents read pretty unisex even though another take on these same notes could totally create an ultra feminine scent. Overall it's such a crowd pleaser than even I like it in spite of it being outside of my usual taste. The inimate sillage also makes it a comforting bedtime or out of the shower scent.
