Rose Essentielle

I love it. The perfect rose fragrance. In the cathegory of fresh, true rose scents it can rival The Merchant of Venice Rosa Moceniga in beauty. I still can't decide which one is my number 1 rose scent. It is a dewy pink rose. Rose, rose, rose. I suspect the Splendida Rosa Rosa is similar if not identical. I regret I did not buy it, cause it is no longer in Sephora. But I was satisfied with this creation and it is still half-full. If I contemplate, the violet and blackberry facets are present. They add a moody freshness to the roses used here. Perfect for spring and summer with a good presence and lasting power. I also noted that it works in autumn. I do feel musk in the base, but I perceive the scent as a constant rose, as if I have my nose in the flower, especially in my Olivia Rose Austin - she smells like Rose Essentielle. After 5 hours it hits the drydown and it is beautiful - clean and sensual with faint traces of roses. I added 3 sprays for my evening and I dare say it changed character into more sultry with musk. I still feel it in the morning. For a floral it has very good lasting power.

this is an unforgettable perfume. what was most striking is that it portrayed a lively image of the 'Rose' which was so crystally clear painted with enervating strokes and vibrational hues. it was as if you were inside a Rose and just slided away petal after petal, either to the heart of the Rose or guided by the sunlight as if you were trapped inside its labyrinthine evasive beauty. each moment spellbound by its heavenly and cinematic smell which was the incorporation of pure beauty and elegance. the force of the rose lies in its as evasive as invasive smell of sheer Citronnade, dancing damascones (damascenones), her free floating erotic energies buoyant and honeyed, the pinkness of its matinal smell, bewitching all that come close and then at once also, loosening. the rose being the Sinister Flower she is and at the same time, (quasi-) Angelically sophisticated, alluringly effusing colorations and petalfluttering microclimates of Flowery Abundance. this all then, captured brilliantly within this singular, exceptional perfume. Beatrice Piquet succeeded to add all the other notes not so much toward submission but then corroborating in a rich and nevertheless breathy, full perfume painting of that most enigmatic of flowers.

This fits an older crowd and, to me, this is what people mean when they say a perfume smells 'like grandma'. I got a small tester of it bc I love rose and there wasn't a way to try otherwise. I am not a fan lol, it just overwhelms and gives me a headache. It's kinda musty and I don't get blackberry either, just a retirement home specifically in California.

I'm heart broken that this is discontinued. This is the most beautiful scent I have ever come across. Ethereal rose perfectly blended. The violet peaks out in the most perfect way. It lasts all day. Think of pink clouds with rose petals and rose water rain in a fairy world. So feminine and airy. I wil always long for you rose essentielle 🌹

I have become quite obsessed with this perfume. It is divine. I found it last year when it had already been long discontinued, but you can still find good deals online if you watch and wait. It is so so so feminine and gorgeous. It just smells like a beautiful woman. I often think if I had to pick one fragrance, this would be it, even though I've loved many other perfumes for much longer. This one is just so versatile. It's perfectly beautiful in the most balanced and graceful way. It's classy but it can also be sexy. It just smells like beauty. I've been putting it on at the gym too, because it has a watery fresh quality that means my nose never gets tired of it. Glorious creation!

This was the most gorgeous and long lasting rose perfume. It projected beautifully without being headache inducing or overpowering. A sweet, sophisticated and mature rose fragrance with the perfect amount of musk and woody notes to add complexity. Very feminine and sexy. This was my signature fragrance for years and everyone used to ask what fragrance I was wearing. I miss this so much

Why Bvlgari? Why? Did you have to discontinue this then replace it with that watered down no blackberries rose rose disaster? PLEASE PLEASE Bring this beauty back. Look at these reviews. Mostly knock offs floating around on E bay. The few real products are about $500. Even if it's a limited time only. If anyone agrees. Please thumbs up 👍 for our beautiful Rose Essentielle.

What ON EARTH were they thinking when they discontinued this masterpiece? Shame on you Bvlgari, shame!

Just popped my full 50ml on ebay if anyone has a craving! I thought it would be rose forward but weirdly I mostly get violet.

A beautifully blended rose with quite a lot of violet and blackberry. Mimosa hums in the background. The woods are soft and light. So is the musk, soft pillow like powderiness. This is quite signature worthy. Such a shame it was discontinued. I bought a decant on fragrancenet. I like Bvlgari fragrances quite a lot and this is no exception. Very pretty, very feminine, very elegant. Would be an excellent rose fragrance for a wedding. Why do they discontinue gems like this? Every co does now to make more vanilla sugar cookie bombs. Let your audience mature and grow into beauties like this instead of giving up on them. Edit: personally I think a yellow floral accord should be added. I distinctly smell mimosa. Not a big line of yellow a small one, this is mainly a rose bouquet.

This was one of the first full bottles of perfume I bought as an adult and I was surprised to find that it had been discontinued a while ago. It really is a nice, complex rose that starts super fresh, mellows to sweet, then settles on clean. At least on me!

This beauty was all set to be my signature fragrance for life when I first got her 10 years ago. I started off with a travel size then saved up for a bottle. Only had enough money to buy a second one after it was discontinued and I'm so sad. I have a quarter of the full sized bottle and I can't bring myself to ever spray it. This is truly the most perfect beautiful rose perfume ever created. Effervescent, calming, refined. The rose sparkles, the blackberries are tart but interesting, the violet is so polished and elegant. The dry down is the most beautiful soft wood skin scent with a slight creaminess from the sandalwood. Absolute masterpiece and nothing, not even other rose perfumes from the same brand match it. Rose Goldea is too powdery and the rose is watery. Here it's neither watery nor jammy, just the perfect in between.

I had it, I used it, I loved it, I miss it. I can now only find it for like $500 a bottle. Why did they discontinue this scent, it was so good. Edit: I have found it!! I purchased a bottle on eBay for way more money than I care to admit, but I am so happy to have it back in my life. At first, I was worried the scent had started to turn, as the first few times I used it, there was that acrid accord (but the dry down was perfect). That being said, now it smells just like I remember. Maybe there was some product in the tubing that made those first few sprays unpleasant, but this is one of the best scents I've ever owned. I hope someday it is put back into production. Because I'd hate to spend probably more money than what I spent on this bottle I have now, when I use it up.

Just smelled this discontinued beauty for the first time and instantly liked it. It is a very fresh, natural, feminine, gorgeous rose. It's dewy and delicate and genuinely feels like I'm sticking my nose in a bouquet of the most luscious and gentle roses with a few drops of rain on them. The kind of scent I'd put on when I want to smell beautiful and put together without thinking about it or trying too hard. What a delightful fragrance! I'm banging my head against the wall because I keep falling in love with discontinued gems. It a little bit reminds me of Guerlain Rose Cherie, but that one seems to have a more prominent violet.

This was a beautiful, soft rose scent. Elegant, and not too sweet. The rose smelled natural, with a bit of blackberry underneath. It wasn’t loud, but it lasted decently and it always felt somehow classy. Really sad it’s discontinued...it's hard to replace it, so I spare it.

Reminds me of Misia by Chanel. Not my favorite type of rose scent. While a jammy rose is my favorite, I don't mind many other types of rose fragrances. Aquatic, fresh type, a spicy one, rose+oud; however, a violet & rose is not my jam. While I love violet fragrances, something about the combination of rose & violet clashes in my nose and I don't enjoy them together. They bring out elements in one another that I don't like and actually turn me off to both notes, which is weird since they are actually two of my favorites. I'm glad I only bought a travel size and not a FB. My days of blind buying fragrances over $100 is over.

A lovely powdery rose fragrance. Fresh and clean rose. Something for the day time, brunch or the office. Projection on this is amazing and lasts all day on me even after a shower. Bought this around 2018. Still got the same juice.

It’s a pretty rose fragrance, very sweet. But something about it doesn’t sit right for me. It reminds me a little of Ysl Parisienne, but without the vinyl note. Lots of rose, lots of berries, just find it too cloying. I think it would smell lovely on someone else.

The first note of the perfume directly go to rose. It has strong rose note and after that become soft rose. It's beautiful scent. You gonna feel like in rose garden when you wear it

I have many rose fragrances in my collection and this is without a doubt one of the best. Effortlessly elegant yet incredibly easy to wear for any occasion. The perfect balance of rose and the supporting floral, berry and woody notes so that the rose is enhanced but never overwhelmed or diminished. I'm SO thankful I was able to snag a partial bottle of this shortly after it was discontinued as it is an absolute gem of a fragrance and I still can't believe that Bvlgari discontinued it and replaced it with inferior offerings.

Taif rose played big time from the initial spray to the end of the journey. This type of rose is so special. It has soft but majestic aura radiates so beautifully. Berry and mimosa give a youthful accent meanwhile patchouli and sandal make a perfect backbone. I love this masterpiece so much

I agree with "this is the most beautiful rose perfume ever created". I am so happy I bought three bottles before it was discontinued. I still have half a bottle and I only use it for very special occasions.

Bvlgari's best Rose scent, but they removed it and replaced it with Bvlgari Rose Rose - a step backwards, what a pity. This is an extremely elegant, feminine scent, like the image of royal Princesses. The Rose is a beautiful blush pink, not too sweet and has impressive longevity on my skin. This is much better than Rose Goldea or Rose Rose that Bvlgari later released. Bvlgari, please bring this fragrance back, this is definitely one of the best Rose perfumes, why would you leave it out? Rating: 9/10, so beautiful

Rating: 😊 Do I like it: Yep Who it is: the elegant and gentle mentor in the office that you secretly have a crush on Smells I get: rose accord, aquatic accord Meyer's Briggs type: ESFJ, ISFJ A gentle, wet rose. Almost like a rose liquor, but very aquatic and supple. It blends into the skin, floating around you like a jammy second-skin aroma, but never verging into overly sweet territory. The bottle is a good explanation of the scent: pink, elegant, cold. Like a lot of bvlgaris, it turns sweeter with age and heat, but never delves into being cloying. Semi-linear, but refreshing. It's a shame it stopped being produced, as it's one of my better rose perfumes.

I love this fragrance and have since it's launch. It's a more youthful take on a rose fragrance, with a fizzy candy accord to my nose. Honestly I smell this and it's just pink roses and fruity fizzy candies to me. That is why it feels more youthful and less of a mature accent for a rose dominant fragrance. I love it so much!

This is by far the most elegant and intoxicating perfume I have ever smelt. Trully intoxicating. It is very very feminine, rosey, powdery (that's the violet coming through) and the blackberry note gives it a sangria wine vibe in a way. Not that it smells like sangria, but it has a nectar like quality that makes me think of drinking sangria. It is elegant and sensuous... Like a glass of fine wine... It this kind of sexy. I have not been able to find anything remotely close to this intoxicating smell. What a crime to have discontinued this. A crime.
