It smells like something chemical or cleaning materials. Either like generic laundry detergent or public bathroom soap? Either way, I don't see how anyone would find this pleasant to wear. Blech.

not fresh smells like a hot breath of a grandma

Just smells like being lathered in white soap. It is inoffensive but that's about it. I love soapy scents but I expect there to be something more going for them.

On me it smells like nothing. No pleasure whatsoever from wearing it.

I've tested this multiple times, but I just can't get myself to like it. It smells exactly like public restroom hand soap to me.

Very sharp and aldehydic to my nose. Doesn't smell like fresh clean laundry to me, smells like cleaning chemicals

As far as clean scents go, I'm not a fan of this one. I wouldn't say it smells bad but it's overly sharp on my skin. And I get a hint of something green. Other than that, there's not much else to it. Overall, I always seem to get disappointed by Byredo scents. I loved Sundazed, not sure why they discontinued that one. That was definitely my preferred clean scent.

I don't usually mind feminine leaning fragrances every once in a while, but this just feels way too feminine. Also it can feel annoying after a while. Smells crispy clean.

Smells good and clean, but not soapy clean. Your skin but better. But low performance, quickly turns intimate

For me, this is the most beautiful scent from Byredo. The scent of a clean white shirt, the scent of clean skin, the scent of a woman who knows what quiet luxury is. She doesn’t need a Gucci logo, doesn’t get lip fillers, doesn’t wear false lashes. It’s purity and light.

Smells like a silky balsam. Overhyped in my opinion. Too expensive for its performance.

An open concept office before the workday starts. Bright light and a crisp white button down, so clean it’s bordering on sterile. I went through 3 samples of this before having to admit that, yes, apparently I do want to smell like fancy laundry. This feels like being in a small town rom-com, except I’m the workaholic girlfriend back in the city. I may get dumped by the end of the movie, but at least I look amazing.

so clean it has a built in self-cleaning system where the scent disappears after 20 seconds.

The best clean smelling perfume I have ever worn. It can uplift your mood and I feel like I just got out of the house and going to spread happiness when I wear this.

idk what u guys mean by "laundry detergent" because when i first smelled this it came across as bin juice/kombucha and i was horrified i'd tested it on my skin. HOWEVER, later in the day i caught another whiff and was in awe. the dry down on this was stunniiiiiiiing and smooth and subtly sweet . very polarising for the people i showed but I LOVE. weirdly, one of my favourite scents of all time (and the initial spray isn't actually bad when i tried it again the second time - i think it was just my first time smelling anything aldehydic).

to me it smells more like shampoo/conditioner than fresh laundry or detergent (which to my nose is actually the case of fleur de peau). it's pleasant and somewhat relaxing (as it makes you feel fresh off a good shower) but not worth the price imho. edited a month after: this has become one of my favorite scents lol i've been wearing it every night to bed. it's great for layering with other fragrances too, esp with those overly powdery ones that could benefit from a little pick me up.

Clean laundry which i ADORE. If you wanna smell put together this is it. If you want to stand out from others dont get this.

What happened? Maybe it's just my nose? When I first sampled this perfume at the mall, I was obsessed. It stayed in my wishlist for the longest time. Recently went back and Blanche smelled so screechy, soap bar, synthetic mess. It was borderline repulsive. There was a lack of the "fresh air" that I initially whiffed years ago. Also tried G Water again and it was also headache inducing and didn't feel "fresh natural air" as it did in the past. I have heard that naturally extracted oils are heavily dependent on climate, rainfall, etc and it all affects the quality. Perhaps with recent weather patterns, it has been changing the perfumes a bit? That is just my hunch, but I definitely smell a difference in quality. The perfume industry is shrouded in mystery, but I do think as an industry they need to be transparent and address climate change (idgaf what the maga owner of Fragrantica thinks climate change is real). OR I could just be running with this hunch and maybe it's my nose that has changed! Either way, it felt so odd so I had to share. I tried it in the same exact mall, same season (summer), same perfume counter as a couple years ago.

I reviwed this a while back and said it wasn't for me as I found it to sharp, too screechy and too aldehydic. However, I have gone through some kind of olfactory adjustment of late and I tried it again. I love it now. It's everything I want. Clean, luxurious laundry. It makes me feel calm, serene almost. Beautiful.

pure laundry detergent scent

It smells like clean laundry, that is the best way to put it, very nice, very clean, very inoffensive, but very boring.

Smells like harsh laundry detergent or a cleaning product and like something that shouldn't be on a human or on skin. But I guess some people like smelling like cleaning product. I don't get soapy from this as much as Cleaning.

This smells like mother Teresa, kindness, patience, benevolence, alturism and my grandmother. As a pretty guarded and distrustful person, this fragrance profile is my weakness, because I will automatically assume that anyone who smells like this is pure of heart and can be trusted with my life.

beautiful scent, but i never wear this outside. i will spritz some on after a shower and will smell fresh and clean throughout the day. i love the whiffs i get of this off of myself, it’s gorgeous and a 10/10. i can recommend blanche over acne studios which have gained a following as of late, this is head and shoulders compared to that in the laundry detergent-esque genre imo, more wearable as well. unfortunately, i got this off a discounter and the sprayer is really bad, maybe the worst sprayer i have in my collection. i need to spray it 3-4 times to be able to get 1 full spray from a normal sprayer. but i guess it’s worth it still considering how good the scent is. have not tried byredo’s newer absolu scents, but this could this be best from the older collection.

Basically if you want to smell like clean fresh laundry...this is your girl.

To me it is very faint but the scent is very chemical. It does smell fresh - I'll give it that. Personally I don't like wearing it. It doesn't pair with your own smell and just sits there. Kind of foreign or alien. I don't know how else to describe it.

Soapy, clean, airy and elegant. I didn’t fully appreciate it at first but it’s been growing on me lately.

It's a light, clean, after-shower type of scent that works especially well in hot weather rather than in winter. I like it, but it's not something I'd want to add to my collection. I could see myself owning a 10 ml decant at most, as I think I'd get bored with it over time because it feels a little too simplistic.

Blind bought. Ok, I understand it's nice, fresh, clean. Yes, for the bathroom or indoor space. To me this is not a perfume at all. This is not something you would put on and walk around in. This is a cleaning product or an air freshener. Sorry but I don't see the point of putting this on yourself and smelling like a toilet product.
