Pine trees, dirty wood, incense and screamwood, but overall the feel is of smoky wood in a night forest in winter. I think this is what Krampus smells like.

Almost complete chocolate warming woods, proceeds earthy. Quality, unique, sampler first tried, it's a humble, will do hefty bottle puffs on sight.

Mixted Aventus Absolu & Hacivat Oud. Buenisima!! I recommend it

Surprised no one mentioned this, smells like a hybrid of oud for greatness/haltane and creed aventus. This is awesome, waiting for fall/ winter to rock this beauty.

This is horrible. This smells like trauma. Like bottling up the titanic as it sunk into a bottle. Smells cold, wet and metallic with a hint of the worst men's body spray you can imagine. Just no.

Oud and Patchouli, simple and elegant, It is nice, but not for me at this point in life, could imagine this is something I might visit again in 10 years time.

this was my first full size perfume. this scent is just completely sexy. in two years im down to half a bottle...... its addictive. lingers so well on wool.... the kind of scent you want to smell on the scarf of a person u think is really hot that they lend to you. pure pleasure and indulgence. winter fur pervert

I bought a bottle of this back in 2012 when Byredo was a new house. To my great sadness M7 was discontinued and I wanted to find a new oud to wear. I went for the name and got very disappointed. The lemony part of Oud Immortel was such a disappointment for me then. Now I can appreciate the unique take of this perfume, although I do not find it oudy at all. It has an enormous longevity and magnificent spillage. I see many people saying that it’s office safe, but I would not feel safe in any office with this hanging around. Might it be that it’s much lighter now? As my, now almost vintage, bottle is anything but. It’s more on the smokey side nowadays, maybe the years have dampened the limoncello note, but it’s still definitely there, never sweet, never overwhelming but interesting.

Wow, classy and sophisticated! I don’t know why it’s unisex, it is more masculine in opinion but anyway, I have tested Over 100 perfumes on my skin and that’s easily one of my favourite!

Dries down beautifully on the skin, a decent base for layering but equally exquisite on its own.

when it dries down it smells like Rabanne Black XS

There was a really good opening. Lively, fresh, citrusy, but it was only there when you don't try. Get too close to smell it and honestly all I got was ash. This became a bit more fragrant but after 45 min or so this has dried down to a light Moss scent. The mossyness opens a bit after about 30 minutes to get a bit of slightly sweet funk/oudness which improves it. The first 45 min was soft, pleasant, interesting and comforting but all that stuff going on, which was quickly boiling off, leaves a bit of a void and you get left alone with a light mossy scent that is there if you look for it. This then opened up and got a bit fruitier after another 30min, but the scent was gone 15 after that. Poof. Shame the good part was so short lived. The dry down is alright though. Not an overpowering and in your face one, just light and pleasant enough, only disappointing by absence of what it was.

This is the fragrance that made me want to get into fragrances when i first came across it and I NEVER get tired if the scent. I get so many compliments on it. Love the way it settles into the more subtle woodsy side as the hours pass. Not super strong but definitely a well balanced fragrance.

Dries down to CDNI

This is a powerful, sophisticated, and deeply complex unisex scent, celebrated for its smoky, woody, and timeless character.

Opens with a bitter and tart scent that for a second read as maybe licorice with a slight plummy smell to my nose or pineapple? Not getting lemoncello. It feels very Byredo as I recognize this accord from other fragrances. It quickly warms up and radiates off the skin, projecting this and some dry woody notes. I almost smell saffron but I think it is just the leathery vibe of the wood. Patchouli is definitely present as well but it’s a cleaner patchouli. Overall, I like this but it’s does feel very much like other cold weather Byredo scents. Like you went into their lab and spun up something out of only the exact aroma chemicals you can find in their other stuff.

Take the cardamom rosewood from TF oud wood and blend that with Aventus absolu and you get this delightful masterpiece.

Aventus absolu with a some faint oud and patchouli

I tried this in store and it smelled so beautiful on the tester strip unless I confused it with something else. But on skin it’s a really dirty patchouli with oak moss and limoncello. I don’t get any tobacco cardamom or incense what so ever. Smells kind of cheap also. Maybe a 5.6/10

slightly tangy, fresh, spicy, green, aromatic opening, very pleasent, not "stinging" at all. dry down is very soft, tiny little touch of sweetness maybe due to rosewood. the oud is not stinky, just adds a certain depth, very palatable. still aromatic and green/herbaceous, just toned down a bit, perhaps not as citrusy which is good imo.

i hate oud. but this is amazing, i wouldnt wear this, but to my future husband please do, you will have a peaceful sleep.

I can definitely smell pineapple in it, interesting, gives me Creed - Aventus vibes for sure. One of the best Byredos IMO, very gentle and suitable for a special evening, but kind of a bit boring still. I'm sure you can find something better for this price. An interesting observation - it opens completely differently from the blotter and from the skin. It lacks most of the notes on paper, so it's better to try it on your skin.

One of my first blind buys in my fragrance journey. I really wanted to get into oud based scents, but I did not want to jump straight into funky, animalic ones. So oud immortel seemed like a very logical choice to me. It’s safe to say it did not disappoint me, and I love it more and more every day. This is a very clean woody oud, along the lines of Oud Wood by Tom Ford. Has a nice sweet tangy citrus opening that dries down to a smoky and very woody base. I really enjoy it. I’m surprised almost no one talks about this fragrance online. A really good and unique offering from Byredo.

This perfume has a charm, but I can't figure it out. It is unique! It's not an ordinary oud scent, there is oud, yes, but not everything is based on it. I thought it was black currant but it's not listed. It has a zesty slightly sugary citrus aroma. Patchouli is there. I cannot pick tobacco and incense comparing to prominent ones.

#1180 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Byredo scents have been hit or miss for me, so I had no expectations either way, and my initial reaction at first blast was "I'm gonna like this scent!" Then the sharp limoncello really took the lead and my enthusiasm waned. That lemoncello note is seldom used for a reason I think. Smells like you spilled your lemon sorbet of the vinyl seat of a hot car. I've encountered before in one scent, a Lacoste L.12.12 flanker I bought years ago, wore a couple of times, and tossed. If you want something like this Oud Immortel scent on the cheap, I achieved almost this exact result by layering Body Shop's citrusy "Kistna" with Reminiscence Oud. Kistna was then $40, but it's now being counterfeited in Malaysia, with Body Shop's closure, for $150, and it's totally not worth that. Reminiscence Oud is $20. I then concluded it wasn't worth the bother. But I suppose you could achieve the same result at the same relative price layering Missoni Wave, Odyssey Limoni, or any of Atelier Cologne's citrusy concoctions with Reminiscence Oud. This scent improves a lot as the limoncello fades to a vague sourness, but never really becomes attractive. It's solid quality, car pool, elevator, small office safe. I just don't know where I would wear it or why, as it doesn't really say business or romance to me, and there are dozens and dozens of oud scents I prefer.

My first impression was: green oud. Something I've never smelt before. I don't see any connection with lemon. Very interesting smell, maybe a bit loud though.

My personal favourite from Byredo. Versatile and unisex. I received a sample of Oud Immortel from a good friend who loves perfumes. This was the true beginning of my fragrance journey—the moment I became obsessed with a scent and needed it for comfort. During the pandemic, I would spray on Oud Immortel to feel both sophisticated and comforted, maybe even confident that life would soon return to normal. And it did. I received a full bottle on my birthday when the world went back to normal. My love for this perfume is now forever linked to that emotional attachment.
