Some combination of notes gives me coffee. Smells like a blend of Dior Homme Intense and YSL Black Opium.
I like it a lot and sometimes I even love it, went through a 50ml fairly quick and got direct compliments but also comments on how nice the room smelled from people coming in. Two downsides it: performance is one of these where people smell it more than I did, I sporadically got whiffs of it for a couple of hours, all in all also not a strong performer. Another issue is it can get stuffy in warmer weather, and doesn’t survive colder days, so it’s limited to cooler days.
root beer + vanilla if a girl in a juicy track suit in middle school wore this, she would be the hottest girl in town
Musty old wood and a spice cabinet all in one perfume. Reminds me of the Marlou series.
D600 by Carner Barcelona This perfume has been on my wishlist for a very long time. It is the perfect choice for today because the air is crisp and cool. The scent feels very warm and nice for a rainy day like this! The scent profile is dominated by smooth, powdery iris and warm vanillic sweetness. The cardamom gives it a soft cozy spiciness that blends perfectly with the woody base of cedarwood. The vetiver adds just enough depth to keep it elegant. It's a very rich and comforting scent that feels amazing in this cool air. It has an earthy tone which suits the rainy weather perfectly.
I’ve had D600 in my collection for several years now, and it remains a fragrance that I wear regularly. To get the common comparisons out of the way: I don’t personally find any resemblance to Dior Homme, nor do I find this to be a vetiver-forward fragrance. To me, D600 is an elegant, 'dusty' woody composition with a perfect touch of sweetness. The main players are iris and vanilla, supported by a prominent cedar note mainly in the drydown. While there is a slight makeup/lipstick facet, it’s subtle and well-blended rather than extreme. I find it performs beautifully in rainy weather—the humidity seems to make the composition bloom and open up. In terms of similarity, it’s fairly unique, though it does remind me slightly of 1725 by Histoires de Parfums which I also have. However, where 1725 leans into those classic lavender/barbershop vibes, D600 feels like its more modern, woody cousin. Given that Carner Barcelona is often available at great discounts online, D600 is an absolute steal and easily one of the house's best creations. Highly recommended.
This is a sneaky one that goes gradually from OK to like and then to love at warp speed. On me it is masculine and aromatic in the beginning but after an hour turns into a very classy feminine fragrance, a similar experience to Bois d'Iris by Van Cleef & Arpel. A definition of quiet luxury, if you care for viral labels.
I totally gets why people instantly starts comparing D600 by Carner Barcelona with Dior Homme intense since so many people are familiar with the latter. That being said, to my nose there is a big difference between the two. Dior has a spicy note throughout which D600 doesn't, if I didn't know any better I'd say it's pepper or something. The absence of this note makes D600 a lot more gentle and soft throughout. I believe it's the Jasmin that makes the overall experience so soft and cozy. It's just way softer and less loud than DHI. Even though the iris goes in a different direction from DHI and never feels "Lipstick-y" this fragrance still feels soft and feminine. The mental image provoked by D600 is that of a young woman, might be in her thirties, back from a party. She has hit the shower and now she's in her silky pajamas relaxing in front of a fireplace. So clean and so beautiful. Whereas the DHI goes full-scale unisex to my nose, the D600 goes in a more feminine direction. That being said it's an iris forward fragrance and as such it can be worn by pretty much everyone. For me personally I'll keep on wearing it and appreciating it as a man. It just has this cozy and luxurious feel to it that just makes me crave it from time to time. It's definitely not redundant to buy D600 if you already own DHI. They are actuality very different and I'm never unsure which one I'll like to wear whenever I reach for one of them. D600 might actually be even better that DHI in my opinion. Summed up, Scent profile: Creamy, buttery iris supported by Jasmin. Think luxurious body cream. So good! Longevity: lasts for about 6 hours before it becomes a skin scent. Sillage: medium/ arms length Value for money: 7/10 When to wear? Spring and autumn. Gender: unisex/ feminine leaning.
I was hoping for a bit more cardamom, but it's straight up vetiver in the drydown. Nicely done, but not what you'd expect from the description and the notes. Nothing like Dior homme.
It seems like i've been spoiled with creamy sandelwood because the Virginia cedar is way too harsh to my nose. Luckily after an hour or so it kinda cools down and it is a perfume instead of cedar extract.
Ahhhh wonderful scent. I’ll be honest I don’t wear this fragrance out in public. But after a long hard day of work and after a tough day this bad mamba Jamba will brighten your evening when you decide to wear her. Very much so a lotion like Iris frag. Mostly it reminds of almost exactly like the smell of Nivea men’s body Creme . But better and more complex. If your into complex, relaxing iris lotion like smells you’ll die for this like I have. Blind buy approved for those that know. 😏😏. 😉 8.5/10
Wet wipes, lipstick, chapstick.. this smells like nostalgic cosmetics. I am a bit underwhelmed, I love CN but this is a bit boring. It is not bad but nothing special.
#1032 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Immediately put me in mind of Nobile 1942 "Ambra Nobile." This also reminds me a lot of Franck Olivier "Black Touch" but I like the iris here better than the geranium in Black Touch, and I definitely prefer the stronger sillage, all day longevity on the skin to the weaker performance of the Black Touch EDT. Spicey amber and vanilla. Almost a butterscotch candy scent. Unisex. I would go easy. Like a lot of strong amber-vanilla scents it could be nauseating in tight spaces. Probably not business wear for me. Very likeable. I'm probably going to end up with most of the Carner line on the shelf before I'm through. I've liked six of seven I've tried so far. I don't think you'll regret buying this, but if you like this kind of scent I think a better choice is Nobile 1942 "Pontevecchio" where the incense, ylang ylang and rosewood make a sharper, more unique, complex and interesting impression. Okay. 10 hours in and this stuff is still going and just ran into the fabulously beautiful and sexy Rebecca who hugged me and said, "You smell really good." I ordered a bottle.
Almost perfect for me. Too much Vetiver and citrus to be a 10/10.
Sweet-peppery-powdery opening, very intoxicating. The powderiness has a somewhat different feel to the one found in the Dior Homme line. Dries down to grapefruity-vetivery fresher smell. Quite interesting, and quite lovely - I can see this growing from like to love. The overall feel of this scent is almost like it's inverted, meaning the opening seems heavier than the dry down.
D600 is a beautiful perfume with iris. It doesn't remind me so much of Dior Homme. Carner's perfume stands out more in the woody and vanilla facets but is less sweet and less powdery. To me personally it smells like extremely quality soap and gives me a very cozy enveloping sensation. It has a peppery and citrusy opening that soon reveals the creamy iris as the main note, accompanied by a lot of cardamom, a very light jasmine and a vanilla note very recognizable from the brand. About two hours after application, the woods begin to gain strength in the composition and, together with the vanilla and iris, compose the drydown. Both the sweetness and powderiness of the fragrance are there but they are light. On my skin it has a moderate sillage and lasts 12 hours, close to the skin but clearly noticeable for the last 4-5. Although I think it is very unisex beautiful perfume, it leans for me more toward the masculine side. I think it is a warm fragrance, versatile in terms of occasions of use and elegant, to be used at will during the winter months. Scent 6.5/10 Duration 10/10 Sillage 7/10 Quality/price 7/10 Versatility 7.5/10 Packaging 7/10 Would I buy again? I did not buy it
Starts off as baby powder but then all the citrus and vetiver freshness opens up. Yes it has interesting sides but that powdery note is choking out everything. I can see how the intention was good but the performance was not. No idea why it`s compared do Dior Homme Intense, I have both, they have Very little in common. DHI is cold wood with light orris, D600 is baby powder with spice and some orris. I just don`t like baby powder in perfumes, it`s an immediate turn-off, and this one has plenty although not mentioned in the notes (but mentioned in the comments).
This perfume has been released for quite some time, but the scent is modern, I often get compliments when I wear it.
Peppery baby powder. Fresh vanilla baby wipes. If you want to attract someone you can have kids with, this is a great choice.
I'm not normally lazy with my reviews but this time is an exception as I only came on here to check if people think this smells like DHI and yes a good number of folks get the same vibe I got. While not 100%, D600 and DHI share a great deal of similarity - both them are super addictive and smell extremely nice!!!!!! Unisex at best, but like DHI I would be more comfortable to rock it as a male than a female. 10/10
Super peppery, cardamom infused iris vanilla. It's like if you spilled an entire pepper mill of freshly ground black pepper into Loubirouge by Louboutin. It's actually really lovely; warm, spicy and slightly masculine!
Everyone's writing about the iris vanilla when I mainly get grapefruit and vetiver. Unique, sweet, and a little stinky.
This does not work with my chemistry. Smells cold and unsettling. It is an interesting fragrance, loving the notes in theory, there's cardamom which I love, and pepperiness all very interestingly done, but it doesn't work for me. It becomes annoying after a while. I don't hate it however. It can probably be pulled off by a right personality.
When I smelled D600 for the first time on a paper strip I really liked it; it's the type of very balanced perfumes, with notes playing a graceful symphony I always search for. I purchased a sample, I wore more it, and unfortunately I'm extremely disappointed. It smells like face powder on me; very feminine smelling. It's very different from the paper strip. THANK GOD FOR SAMPLES!!!
the best irish fragrances. easy to use day or night. sp is also good. but it's hard to get this gem again, I have to save it.
After getting a bottle and looking at reviews everywhere, I think the comparison with Dior homme has been carried over the years. Dior homme was THE iris fragrance when this first launched, so this was compared to it, there was no Prada l’homme, for example, which I find a lot closer to D600. D600 is a clean iris fragrance, powdery, soapy, with a spicy-woodsy-vanilla background. I had Prada lhomme, which I really enjoyed for a time, but bored me. I find D600 really similar, just creamier in the drydown, something that I appreciate. Is less sharp, smoother, creamier and overall more interesting. I like this a lot, is pleasant and projects well; i was struggling to try infusion d’homme, gave up and bought this getting what I was expecting the Prada to be like.
If Dior homme intense lacked confidence
This is just cedar and cardamom on my skin 😩. I was hoping to smell the iris and vanilla. This smells nothing like Dior homme to me. I will not be purchasing a full bottle, thank goodness I only purchased a sample.
This smells peppary warm iris on paper but dirty on me. Strong dislike, unpleasant scent on me. I love dior homme intense and others with similar notes.
Once again a chewy woody vanilla cedar mix with powdery notes. Nice but redundant and infinitely eclipsed by Dior Homme Intense like most of the genre which btw you can find for like 80 bucks on discounters. There is more of a focus on the vanilla here less Iris and a transparent resinous cedar backbone replacing the mildly chocolatey patchouli touch in the dior. It feels a bit more unisex and all in all like a less striking and daring DHI, as long as DHI is in hands reach i can’t imagine wanting this one, but that’s just personal preference.
