Chic For Men

Nose Note #1105 I totally get the comparison to 212 Men, but only in the air. Upclose this is definately less fresh. There's something very "90s" about this. Creed Millésime Impérial? Only a little. There's also a subtle feeling of Silver Mountain Water, like with 212 Men. I don't get the watermelon note, but I do get violet which is not mentioned. I wanted to try this for a long time and I wasn't dissapointed. I wasn't greatly impressed either. It's just a nice no-brainer scent and reminds me of Montblanc Legend AC Fierce somehow too. They exist in the same realm, except Chic has no lavender, but translates an image of lavender. Performance is OK. Good for what it is. Overspray is preferable. 7.5/10

Wore this one to the gym today and decided to move it from a "like" to a "love." To me, it's grassy (not sure why I get that), a little sweet, and a bit powdery and reminds me of 212 Men. It's clean, versatile and safe for most occasions, leaning towards being a hot-weather scent. I'm not near as good at describing fragrances as some of y'all, and I have to say, I don't know if I'll ever be able to get Bingo30's description of a "glossy magazine cover" out of my head. It really does remind me of that now, but it works for me.

There are a lot of people who love this DNA, but to me it is just alright. A sweetened glossy magazine cover with antiseptic tones and scratchy synth lemon. Peppery deodorant spray that smells like Abercrombie/Hollister/American Eagle of the 2000’s. It does play a fun trick, where the drydown gets brighter and fruitier. I almost think the note pyramid is upside down, because I only get that watermelon impression about five minutes after it settles. 7.7/10

This is a nice fragrance that requires a high spray count if you want it to last more than a few hours. This is somewhat expected since it's an EDT. When I wear it, I get more of cantaloupe or honeydew notes more so than watermelon notes. I have a macerated bottle of Basic Impulse which is supposed to be a clone of First Instinct by Abercrombie & Fitch. Chic for men is a very pleasant fragrance but it is nearly indistinguishable from macerated Basic Impulse. I would give Chic for men a 4.35 out of 5 stars.

people calling this one a sweet fragrance couldn't smell any of the so called modern mainstream fragrances of the last 15 to 20 years.

I'm on my 4th or 5th bottle. This is my signature scent but i can't smell it anymore. I've wore it so much that i got blindness to it now. I haven't worn it in months just to be able to smell it again It's clean and casual and not heavy at all, even though its spicy. It's an eau de toilette after all.. it is indeed nothing special but for me its comforting and cozy. It gets me in a good mood. Its an easy grab, non-offensive. Perfect balance of citrus, wood, spice, fruit, aquatic for a casual wear.

Never thought about it until my wife told me 1 day that this smells just like the flea medication that you put on the back of your pet's neck. Not saying this is really a bad fragrance but ever since she said that its all I can think about when smelling this.

Very nice fragrance. The opening is very nice. The drydown reminds me of kitchen spices for some reason. Other than that, would recommend.

I get a yuzu/Clinique Happy for men vibe. Nice, wearable, but not unique.

I received it as a present. Chic is not an interesting fragrance. It is just OK, just a few puffs after a shower, smells clean but it doesn't last long and it's not that distinctive...

Another one that gets lot of hate here and yet gets compliments virtually every time I wear it. Chic is not a masterpiece but it's a damn good scent for a spring day or cooler summer day. The watermelon opening is instantly intriguing. Keeper.

Unfortunately, the overall luxury fragrance is too much for me, a bit from the past. There are no bright accents and audacity in it. it is a mild sweet-sweet overall fragrance with spices. It will be pleasant, but no more. I would have taken something more daring and intoxicating.

A citrusy/woody opening, 20 minutes in and it turns into pepper and spices. Nice not anything groundbreaking but a nice scent. 7/10

Smells expensive! Great scent! It reminds me a more fruity and not synthetic version of Moschino Uomo. Highly recommended!

I love it. Very fresh, fruity and citrus dominant scent that is very well blended. Casual spring / fall scent for day wear or evening out. Pleasing and possible compliment getter.

1st time wearing this out: it has a nice scent bubble; the scent is light and airy; starts out citrus at first then tones down to spicy and slightly sweet. quite versatile and safe fragrance. I can use this day & night. can be a dumbreach. not too casual or classy., more like in-between. smells a bit unisex at first spray but after a few minutes it's definitely masculine. good overall

Fresh and clean, but an absolute pepper bomb. Cinnamon? No. Watermelon? No. From the listed notes I smell pepper, pepper and some more pepper. Maybe a little bit of bergamot or lemon, which gives it a bit of a tea or herbal vibe..? Overall it's definitely a pretty good and versatile fragrance, but if you don't like pepper, stay away. I've worn it for the last 3 days and unfortunately the performance is terrible. After leaving the house I haven't picked up the scent even once during the day. It doesn't even last on clothing. Quite disappointed about that.

I agree there is surely resemblence to 212. Quite a bit. Smells like another version of it infact. Probably a part 2 sorta version. But i like it, smells different at night. Great for spring/summer. Edit- after using it for a week, i must say its quite an underrated scent. It is long lasting even in the summers of south Asia, smells absolutely top notch. I am in love with it. Great, in offensive, pleasent, uplifting and great for office scent.

i really like this as an Autumn perfume, it works well for both day and night wear

This is a masterpiece. Excellent perfumery. Ultra green, masculine. Excellent performing. Fresh with a tinge of youth. One of my favorites of all time

It smells ok but it’s nothing special to my nose. It’s kinda boring and dated for my taste which is darker and deeper amber, leather, tonka, incense & tobacco scents. This smells like a typical 90’s mens aftershave. It’s got a similar vibe to A&F fragrances. Might just give it away.
