Allure EDT is such a shapeshifter. Upon first spray, it almost makes you regret reaching for it. The opening is dated and chaotic. But give it 30 minutes. Once it settles, the whole composition softens into a gorgeous creamy vanilla-sandalwood base with a bright, zesty floral background and suddenly you’re wondering, what smells so damn good?

Chanel Allure EDT is a beautifully balanced scent that weaves together freshness and warmth in the most effortless way. It opens with a bright splash of mandarin and bergamot — crisp, citrusy, and full of life, like the first glow of morning sunlight. The opening can feel a touch bold and sparkling at first, but it quickly softens into something far more graceful. On my skin, the performance is quite good: moderate projection that stays noticeable without overwhelming, and longevity that goes beyond 6 hours. Overall, it’s a versatile and refined fragrance that captures a soft, confident femininity — classic, graceful, and undeniably chic.

I've owned this one for over 20 years and gone through several bottles of it in my twenties and thirties. Back then it was a cute semi floral citrus clean girl scent great for wearing to work or something else where the day is more casual or formal but less flirty. Tried it today, with a well macerated bottle, and it started off as I remembered for about a minute. Then it became a heavy woody patchouli and amber beast! A headache inducing aggressive beast at that. Was it the hot desert Summer and middle of the day wearing? Was it too old a bottle of fragrance? I am not sure. But I'm going to try her again in the winter or autumn and try to not get mauled again. She's been a 7/10 in the past but today was a solid 2.5/10 not clean girl more dirty hippie today. I also have the EDP, she's still a lovely peachy warm little gem. She's so small a bottle I only bring her out occasionally and for fancy events. She's a 10/10 for cozy clean girl semi floral gourmand.

The Chanel signature DNA always leans nutty and powdery on me, and that's all I can smell. I envy all of you who love this fragrance, and I tried, but for me it's as if Chanel No. 5 and pistachio butter had a baby and it's Allure. Does anyone else's skin react this way to these types of fragrances, and do you know what causes that nutty note to pop out of the mix? Could it be jasmine? Sandalwood? Or is it just me? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It’s very similar to the EDP, but there’s something in the EDT that gives off a slightly metallic vibe, which I didn’t really like. I definitely consider the EDP version much better.

chanel has a signature blend of the notes that cannot go unnoticed. i love the fact that this brand has a very strong identity and they stick to their main target of customers: elegant ladies that are TRULY elegant (except for chance which is a total disappointment in my opinion). another reviewer said: ''this is peach done right''. YES! (in comparison to lancome tresor, which, in my opinion, is not peach ''done right''). this scent is very if gabrielle solis and bree van de kamp would have had a baby.

I own a wonderful bottle of Allure dating between 1997 - 2005 (batch 6813, short list of ingredients). This is peach done right 🍑 My favourite peach perfume in the whole world, so elegant.

This EDT at first test is immediately nostalgic; such a feminine, motherly scent that reminds me of mom's smile while dressed in her best for a special day; Her draping cream-colored blouse, a delicate golden cross necklace, her white diamond earrings, carefully applied makeup, and her hair put just-so. She was so, so pretty. She would always say while I watched and learned how to look like a woman, "Sometimes, less is more." And she was right. She looked perfect and I wanted to be just like her. I don't know if she wore this perfume. Somebody did while I was small. But all I can think of while I smell this is her. 🌸💞✨

This was one of a batch of 90's perfumes I used to think of as 'screechy', the worst of the lot being Eternity by Calvin Klein. They include synthetic florals such as peony, freesia and honeysuckle that smell to me like toilet cleaner. Probably because that's what these aroma chemicals were used for too. I didn't like Allure at the time, it immediately struck me as conformist, secretarial, clean - that sort of thing. Nowadays it smells not bad, a bit like Dior's Dune, sort of clean/dusky/sweet. Mainstream perfumes have got worse since then. I love some Chanels though! I really adore Chanel 19, No 19 Poudre, Bois des Iles and Misia

A very 90s Chanel, and not just vaguely 90s, but unmistakably second half of the 90s. Creamy, beauty-product aura you’d find in things like Cacharel Noa (1998). Pleasant, comforting, cosmetically smooth, but also a bit too “shampoo/hand-cream” to feel like a statement fragrance. It’s nice, well-blended, and very much of its time. I’m just not convinced I’d choose to wear it as a personal scent; it reads more like a scented body product than a perfume with intention. That said, if you’re a 90s collector, this is essentially mandatory. It’s a piece of the era.

It is phenomenal. The sillage and longevity are perfect. The scent so complex, chic and timeless. It is immediately uplifting and fit for professional environment. It is so good that every woman should own a bottle at least once in a lifetime. It eludes description. I feel peach, lemon but seemlessly blended into vetiver. It feels woody-sweet. Floral but je ne sais quoi. I think honeysuckle is big on me. It is beautiful and sweet. Radiates greatly off my skin for many hours yet I never feel it around the town. It has high class and inexplicable charm. It is both cold and warm. Serious and alluring. Perfect. I prefer it to the eau de parfum. In the morning next day the far dry-down smells like flowers.

Getting powdery candy, lemon peach soda from this. I'd say it's the perfect everyday perfume and very office friendly.

Tried on the EDT in a store, was disappointed. I loved the very first flush, a freshness that reminded me, but not overbearingly, of the Chanel chypre DNA - refreshing and elegant - with a bit of warming vanilla. But it quickly dried down to something muddy and indistinct, vaguely amberish, completely unremarkable. But my skin kills a lot of fragrances, so who knows.

I always, always reach for this perfume on heavy rainy days or when the sun refuses to show up. There's something about it — warm, soft, and quietly alluring — that wraps around me like a cashmere blanket. It just fits the mood. Every single time. Chanel Allure EDT has been my favorite from the House of Chanel for 12 years. I’ve gone through 4, maybe 5 bottles by now.

(Sorry for the long post- I promise this is about the EDT).I have worn Allure EDP on and off for years. My first experience of Allure EDT was in the 90s, when a Mother who was part of our carpool group would drive my 7 year-old self to and from school; she was always so beautifully put together and wore Allure EDT, and I still remember how lovely she smelled. Then, in my teenage years, I would sneak into my Mother's bathroom vanity to mist myself with her Allure EDP or Coco EDP-considering them the most beautiful and womanly fragrances I'd ever come across, and I have always looked forward to getting Allure EDP as a Christmas or birthday gift (December & June). Anyways, I decided I wanted to change up my signature scent from Coco Mademoiselle Intense exclusively to the lovely Allure EDP, only to discover my local department store was out of the EDP and only had Allure EDT! Well, what an unexpected treat!! Actually, Allure EDT is a BEAUTY AND A BEAST in its overall makeup, longevity, and sillage. There is great depth and complexity to the fragrance, with each gorgeous facet gently revealing itself overal several, several hours. The scent cloud of Allure EDT doesn't overwhelm, but it WILL CERTAINLY get you noticed in a positive way (without choking others out); Allure EDT knows her place and is confident you will notice her- being pulled in like a magnet through her undeniable attraction inducing notes. Allure EDT preforms better than most EDPs I have owned.She instantly makes me feel like I have my life together as she creates a scent trail of elegance, sophistication, and radiance- exuding from the inside, out on the wearer. I am 34, and I would/do recommend this gorgeous masterpiece of Allure EDT to anyone/age wanting a beautifully refined fragrance, as she will create an aura of poise, intrigue, and lovely feminine enchantment (although it could easily be worn by all genders). I have several precious memories tied to this fragrance, and can honestly say she's a great date fragrance- as men love it on me and have actually told me they find me "alluring" whilst wearing Allure; she draws compliments from coworkers to strangers, day or night, and in any setting. A great value IMO for the money and excellent performance from an EDT. Love the EDP as well, but I find the orginal EDT just breathtaking and I am enjoying wearing Allure EDT as the weather warms up due to her lovely freshness. Allure EDT is like sipping on a crisp, chilled glass of champagne whilst getting gentle whiffs of a honeysuckle bush on the grounds of a beautiful, stately, and "old money" estate that is hosting a first class event or reception.Day or night, Allure EDT & EDP exudes class, beauty, and sophistication.

This is very headache inducing to me. Received it yesterday, tried it again today. Now I have a headache. Reminds me of Guerlain Samsara. I like that one much better

I must have a bad batch because mine doesn’t last at all.

Opens with sparkling peach-forward citrus, dries down into a creamy white floral bouquet that heavily leans into the jasmine and honeysuckle on my skin. Gets more vanillic and powdery but the flowers take the main stage. Warm weather is best for this, needs some heat. Lasts all day and is a surprisingly strong projector.

I know the original Allure. Truly it smells like Heaven in a bottle.... or the Garden of Eden. All that citrus fruit and the passion fruit and the peach. And then the enormous bouquet of white flowers and rose delicately bedded on the earthy tones of amber & sandalwood. Divine!

After 13 months I decided to give it another try. Quelle surprise! Creamy florals.. uncanny resemblance to an extremely well known Indian cream with antiseptic properties and sooo fragrant. Lovely .. unfurls better in spring. This is an intimate perfume and it occurs to me that this was perhaps intentionally done so as not to intrude in other people's space much. Very fresh citrus with quite a lot of fruitiness in the opening giving way to soft sweet florals

Blue Nivea vibes.

It is a classic and has a soul. Very distinctive and universal. It is nearly impossible to describe, the rich and complex notes play so well together. It is feminine and confident, and it does have a sensuelle version to apply in the evening and for a date, which is also spectacular. On me the eau de toilette opens clean, woody, fresh, even minty, also spacious and as if windy. I feel honeysuckle and magnolia, both add lightness and sweetness. Maybe a distant exotic fruit like the passionfruit and peach. I also feel vetiver and vanilla. The outcome is very woody but sweet. The style is characteristic Chanel under the now sadly retired perfumeur. Very refined, timeless and unforgettable. It has a presence, it is not a scent for a person that prefers her parfums barely there. I noted that it is perfect for autumn and spring but it smells divine this winter.

This fragrance is a masterpiece. One of the most beautiful ever. Elegant, refined. An intense, feminine floral.

I loved this fragrance. Sophisticated for sure. But way too expensive now. Is there a dupe LOL? any recommendations?

Mine is older, at least 10 years old and it smells like a Chanel. Citrus, peachy/flowers combine to make a fruity, warm vanilla floral but still with the typical Chanel base. There has to be some aldehydes that aren't mentioned in the pyramid but they're not no.5 like at all, which is what most people think of when you mention aldehydes. It gives it a nice lift, otherwise imo, it would just be another flat perfume. I like most of Chanels body creams and lotions more than the actual perfumes, they last longer and envelope you in a soft cloud of scent. Allure gives me country club vibes: classy, warm, unobtrusive but there and definitely ladylike.

This fragrance has a beautiful alluring smell. It is classy and elegant and it lasts long. This is the type of perfume which is great to get as a present or to give someone as a present as it feels like a luxury present rather than "just a present". I love it.

To comment on the review below "white"...are you 20??? What a dumb way to describe a fragrance, White...ok (but then again you're a fan a Katy Perry, Devotion....). This is rich and creamy, funky, earthy, sweet, and seductive. I'm complimented often when wearing this one and the EDP. Mostly men. This is a boss bitch, fresh out of a warm salon, you just stopped at Chanel for pearl earrings with your Americano at 7am to complete your look, ready to go into a conference meeting fabulous and angry frag. She's sexy and she does Not date below her worth. Slam that empty paper cup down on the $50k conference table in protest, Woman! It is time to f sh up! We ain't taking no "white" sh today! (Whatever...that is...) We're alluring, persuasive, and make Moves.
