At the beginning it is quite Coco Mademoiselle, but with time it becomes a nice citrusy floral chic perfume. It’s bright but it’s not headache inducing or screechy from the lemon with the patchouli, the floral is blended in nicely, giving it a feminine and fresher feel. It’s SLIGHTLY sporty which makes it good for a bit androgynous effortlessly elegant woman. Very mood lifting

Day 1 of testing the entire Chance lineup: Chanel Chance EDT I owned this perfume (either this one or EDP version) around 20 years ago. This was back when I was not into perfumery at all. I remember using this fragrance religiously every day for a year, until the bottle met its untimely demise when I dropped it on the floor in my bathroom. Somehow I don't remember the scent whatsoever. Anyway, testing in 2026: Chanel Chance EDT is lovely. I immediately get lemon, and it stays lemony the entire time. Very light, fizzy, delicate fragrance. Carefree. Perfect for spring and summer. On me it is very, very light. I don't get any projection (unless I have a severe case of nose blindness to it) and lasts perhaps around 4 hours total.

This is such a beautiful creation. I like EDP version as well, but it could give headache, this one is perfectly balanced, fresh, earthy, floral and a little powdery scent, super versatile. Nothing out there smells similar. Perfume for a chic and classy woman, an absolute perfection.

Smells bright, sparkling, and playful. Feels chic and effortless — like a spontaneous day out that turns memorable.

This is a sharp and woody scent, strong on the patchouli. To me, it is unisex. As someone who prefers more warm, feminine fragrances, I was not a fan. However, it is strong and long lasting, so could be a good option if you like woody scents!

For me chance edt is a unisex fragrance perfect scent for hot Summer days 🏖️🔥 a very refreshing scent 👍

This was my favorite perfume while I was in university and I haven’t smelled it in years. It’s still so beautiful, it is defined by patchouli but in the best possible way. Sensual, mysterious but light and invigorating. A masterpiece.

If you remove the hyacinth and some of the jasmine (not all of it, just enough to make it a bit less indolic), this is basically Creed Aventus. Do what you want with this information. It’s still a very unique (except for the clones that came after) 10/10 fragrance but I wonder if this was the inspiration for Creed Aventus, it's so obvious.

I love it! Pineapple, hyiacynth, citus and patchouli perfectly blended. A true timeless Chanel classic.

i love this fragrance. smells like a classy rich girl. not too mature but certainly not juvenile. very mellow and fresh/earthy peppery daytime scent that is rounded out with an ever-so-slight touch of patchouli. smells very soft and feminine. a clean and expensive smelling skin musk.

. . . I have entrusted the past to the shadows; now, those shadows seem to follow me… This is one of the most refined and distinctive interpretations of patchouli. When handled correctly, this note can elevate a fragrance to greatness; when misused, it can diminish it entirely. Here, however, it has been crafted with precision and elegance, transforming the composition into something almost regal. For me, it is a carefully chosen and deeply meaningful fragrance. At times during the day, all my senses seem to long to experience it again. It carries a character that gently touches the past while subtly gesturing toward the future—emotional, yet composed. There is much that could be told about its story. Yet, if I were to capture it in a single scene: it feels like a well-groomed young woman walking along the seaside on a warm summer day, leaving behind a graceful and captivating trail. As a man, I find that it suits me as well. Ultimately, it is a matter of personal preference. 10/10.

First of all, this is not even that feminine when you think of newer perfumes but besides that it smells unbelieveablely good. Its not a sweet scent but it gets you addicted to it, its pretty suitable for both genders and four seasons i also get off duty 2000’s model vibes from this idk why

Got it as a gift and didn’t love it at first not sure why because after leaving it aside for a little while and try it again I literally gasped!!! It’s so feminine, classy and elegant ✨ easy to wear and layer too, super long lasting (until next day in clothes) and feels expensive!

Анонім★★★★★

Wouldn't buy it for myself as I like a bit more unisex leaning scents. But I think it's a pretty smell for a feminine, elegant woman. I think I would say so about most fragrances from this line.

Анонім★★★★★

Inoffensive, professional, and feels expensive compared to the flankers and No. 5. light green and citrusy notes but I would never buy it for myself. It’s far too generic.

Анонім★★★★★

I had never smelled this until today. Wow, but wow! This is what mesmerizing perfumery is all about. The complex, almost dense, greenery in this fragrance is stunningly gorgeous. It is elegant, airy and vaguely powdery. It has hints, to me, of Shalimar, but brighter and crafted with bolder colors. I can picture a beauty like Gina Lollobrigida in her heyday wearing this. I think I just fell in love!

Анонім★★★★★

really love Chanel Chance EDT. It feels cheerful, beautiful, and so refreshing on my skin. The scent isn’t overpowering in good way — it’s just comfortable and easy to wear. Even though it’s an EDT, the lasting power on me is surprisingly good. I sprayed it at 9 AM, and around 1 PM the scent was still noticeable, and that was with just one spray. Compared to Chance Tendre, which leans more musky and powdery, almost like baby powder, I personally prefer Chance EDT. It’s not the kind of perfume that’s loud. It’s more like a bubbly, soft, comforting scent that just makes me feel good.

This fragrance is a true love!! Very feminine, modern, bright, clean, and classy. Not a typical mainstream fragrance. The composition is simple but intriguing. Very luminous and youthful fragrance, or at least for those who still feel young 💝 Amazing creation, congratulations!

aşk,aşk,aşk... patchouli tarlasında doğdum galiba ve bu parfüm beni çok mutlu ediyor.

Анонім★★★★★

This is nice and refreshing. Somehow I don't smell the patchouli, despite it being listed twice in the note tree. And I'm someone with a low tolerance for patchouli, so that says something. I really get the pineapple in this and it's made me realise how much I enjoy a pineapple note, which isn't found often in perfumes marketed towards women. This is a like for me. The only problem is like all of Chanel's EDTs, and especially those in the Chance line, it doesn't last much longer than an hour. Sadly I don't like the EDP version of this, which has much much better longevity and projection.

Анонім★★★★★

This is one of my first few perfumes I got in my collection. Also one of my favourite ones. Fresh and zingy, due to the pineapple. All nicely blended. For me it's really a mood booster, I will choose this when I'm having a long day ahead.

Oh Lordy what a beauty... the first couple times I sprayed this on, for some reason, I went completely anosmic. I could not smell a thing besides faint musk, powder and citrus. Nothing. Until some day, for some reason unbeknownst to me, this beauty opened up to me and I was in heaven! I get gorgeous, vibrant lemon and jasmine over a soft, comforting, sophisticated bed of musky iris and airy, earthy patchouli. I never thought of two separate worlds of accords could come together like this and I love it! Clean, elegant and all ocassion safe - especially gorgeous for spring and summer daytime but fairly enough, I'd even wear this to bed. I enjoy layering it with B&BW's If You Musk. Also surprisingly one of my most complimented fragances, could easily pass for unisex. Just lovely.

Short sypnosis: Like a sharper pineapple-infused Coco Mademoiselle. I prefer this to the EDP version of Chance, as it’s fresher, more sparkly and interesting to wear. Has a lot more going on but remains an underrated scent. Surprisingly dries down more earthy and less fragrant than CC Mademoiselle. Respectable longevity for an EDT. Better longevity than the other EDT’s in the Chance line. If Tendre could last as long as this one I would justify repurchasing it, instead of buying a longer wearing dupe. Both are nicest to wear in spring-summer. Feminine leaning with a unisex mood.

chance edt, skin and fabric test, winter. this scent is better on me than the edp. blooms better but then is more fleeting. on skin its more woody and skin cream.. on fabric its more leaf/wood/gentle/chanel-esk - you know their DNA. lasting ok so far. i am an hour or so in

This is a fragrance men seem to love on me. The initial spray on clothes is a fresh sophisticated sour, almost over powering green smell with some muskiness but moreso in a mens cologne way, not a sweet way. I personally don’t like wearing it on my clothes because of the initial overpowering sour opening. If I spray it on my skin, it dries down into a beautiful fresh vanilla/floral smell with some milkiness and sweet muskiness to it which smells beautiful. For this reason I always love the smell 30 minutes after i’ve sprayed it on my skin. It is probably the less popular chanel chance fragrance, but I really like it on my skin especially in summer.

Анонім★★★★★

In the opening the most prominent note is pineapple, then the composition perfectly blends into a citrussy floral scent. It is nice, but the lemon reminds me too much of a toilet freshener. It does disappear at the bottom of the composition, and what is left is a nice tangy and sweet smell.

Анонім★★★★★

The best! I’ve been wearing this fragrance since it launched. My signature. Can’t be without. And the EDT is way better on my skin than the EDP. Notes are completely different. Thank God the pink flanker is more hyped up, so this one remains cheaper and not on everyone lol Said that, I can’t understand the hype on that one at all. For me, the original Chance EDT and Eau Fraiche are the best ones. Eau Fraiche being second obviously 🩷🩷

If someone is interested in buying this perfume (the 150 ml size) of me with a nice discount, let me know! The price for the 150 ml is listed on Belgium perfume websites as €172,90 (ICI PARIS XL) or €175 (on douglas.be). I sell it for €100 so €0,66 per ml, a lot less than you’ll ever find anywhere else online! 😉 I work at an airline and bought this perfume 2 days ago at the duty free shops of the airport (I still have the receipt). I intended to buy the biggest size of my favourite perfume Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT, but unfortunately only realised after opening the packaging (as they look very similar) I accidentally bought Chanel Chance EDT instead 🥲

Анонім★★★★★

I disagree that this is a shadow of its former self. I have the EDP and recently acquired the EDT and the EDT is much better to my nose. Fruitier, more sparkling, the dryness of patchouli and aldehyde seem a bit much in the EDP but this is perfect. Not to mention - I love modern perfume releases, but you can smell the artistry that went into this and even now the quality of materials for the formula. Maybe this was just Jacques Polge's talent.

I had Chance over a decade ago, so getting in touch again teleported me back to a whole chapter of my life. It’s a very well composed fragrance, and very Chanel. I’m not sure I’d buy a full bottle again, but I can’t deny that I do enjoy it. The opening has a cologne-like feel, a bit masculine, but it settles into soft but still fully grounded earthy profile. Definitely unisex vibes. Out of the Chance line, this is by far the most elegant and mature, but unfortunately it seems to have been overshadowed by other Chance releases. I think it deserves much more attention than it gets, it's refined and balanced in a way the flankers just aren’t (Eau Fraîche is a pleasant exception). The Chance line was targeted at a younger audience while still trying to stay true to the Chanel signature, and I’d say the OG delivered on that. But whether we needed a whole line of forgettable flankers that are not really representative of the brand is another story. We can also see it in the luke-warm reception of Splendide. Maybe it's time to let Chanel be Chanel again. The longevity is not the greatest, but not as bad as Eau Tendre. You'll still need to reapply.
