I've owned both Marly Delina and Mugler Angel Nova and tried them both for over a week separately, and this smells absolutely nothing like either of them... don't let that review turn you away. This is fresh and inoffensive. Nothing revolutionary, but I'm not getting any of the synthetic raspberry like Angel Nova or that weird after-scent with Delina (people blame it on litchi/lychee, but it's not)
I came across it during a blind testing session. I was sure it was from the 2015–2020 range and that I’d already had it 😅. I bet on Angel Nova (2020) or Delina (2017) — I’ve had both. You know, those “chemical fruit” vibes and all that. When they told me which brand and year it was, I was shocked. Why Chanel? Why 2025? The brand is supposed to set trends, not copy stuff that was around even before the pandemic. Whatever. If Chanel is too pricey for you, go for Angel Nova — you won’t miss out on anything. Delina’s cheaper too, I think. Man, back in the day everyone was copying Chance. Now Chance seems to be copying someone else. O tempora, o mores 😀
Lovely! It reminds me of Ô D'Azur by Lancome and Endless Euphoria by Calvin Klein. These smell very similar to me. I sniffed my arm all day after spraying Eau Splendide thinking I needed to buy my own bottle... .. but then remembered I own both these other ones and don't need an almost identical fragrance. I like all the Chances and the flankers!
I LOVE this fragrance! Smells clean and fruity... a little like apple cider to me, on a nice hot summer's day. Great for summer days in the sand or even strolling around the city.
A simple. pretty, fruity floral. A good signature, for everyday wear. Musk gives it a clean feeling and stops it from being childish. Quite basic. but nice.
I LOVE Eau Tendre, but this one is a big disappointment. It's very thin and light, and fades quickly. I have a difficult time with raspberry in perfumes and can barely detect it even when it's a prominent note. So that's a personal defect on my part. But there's something else unpleasant here that I can't put my finger on. It's almost reminiscent of beer, which I don't want to smell like.
you knoww what i like this, actually, it kind of reminds me of going to the mall in like the early 2000s or something, its really fresh and fruity, almost shampooey, but then dries down similar to eau tendre
My top spring scent. I've always had reservations about Chanel, the most tolerable perfume of theirs before this being Eau Tendre, but when it launched, I was pleasantly surprised on how lovely this scent is! Since getting more into perfume, I've learned of the cohesive relationship between violet notes and my body chem, and this is certainly no exception. It's so inoffensive that a lot of people give me compliments. It is mainly a S/S scent but I also tend to wear it from the transition of winter to spring, and it's just an easy perfume to grab off of my shelf. Biggest gripe is the price, but that's Chanel for you.
Bought this for the mum, it's such a nice, easy, feminine scent. Admittedly though, there is much to be desired with the packaging, not that I'm a big package snob, but at least for the price I expect something more. Performance is solid I suppose, 6 hours, moderate silage, and a nice projection bubble.
Muy bueno, pero algo tienen los Chanel q no disfruto al 100% tienen eso cítrico q capto mucho acá, muchísimo más el durazno o las frutas
Reminds me of my babysitter from like 2005 when I was like 4 years old. Smells like raspberry bubblegum to me. Fresh floral and fruity but not too childish. Just smells like a girl in the early 2000's.
I dare to say it's reminiscent of YSL Elle Who loved Elle should def try this one
Can't smell anything.
Fruity scent from Chanel can't be wrong. It's a very light spring or autumn fragrance. I don't think it has a synthetic or atificial smell as I've read in some comments. I think it's a very light perfume, different from from what Chanel usually makes, which are very impactful perfumes. Eau Splendide is one of my favorites from this line.
My fav perfume of all times
Synthetic mess.
Gabrielle is turning in her grave
I think it’s a masterpiece and indeed splendid. I find myself reaching for this fragrance every day; when I wear something else out of loyalty to my other bottles I top up with Splendide because I miss that uplifting raspberry, the beautiful rose geranium, the powderyness of the iris and the incredibly addictive drydown. It lasts all day and beyond and it’s just me. Found my signature! Thanks again Chanel🙏
The top notes had a fruity scent, but this faded as the fragrance dried down. What remained was a soapy scent of musk and aldehydes. 5/10
I am reading the comments about bad longevity and generic smell.. this smells like heaven on my skin and lasts for hours. My friend says it smells terrible on her, I am in love on the other hand. Trying on your skin is necessary 👌
Save your money.
a prototypical "clean and fresh" fragrance. yes, this is light and elegant, but it's also linear and boring. this is the generic scent of any four star hotel lobby.
Nice but can't smell it after a while.
I had to sell full bottle as it smelled so unpleasant, cat piss is a good example. And after 1 hour the smell is completely gone. Don’t get me wrong, I have 2 other Chance bottles and I love it but this one… is just so disappointing awful. You can never expect something like this from Chanel 😭 not worth even single penny.
My coworker and I had to go to staples to buy office supplies yesterday so naturally we diverted to Macys on State Street to sniff perfume. The lovely associate sprayed a card for us and we were OBSESSED. To my elderly milennial nose it smells just like Dior Addict2, which I adored. I need to try it on my skin and if I don’t get a migraine (which Chanel tends to do)? I’m buying it!!
It’s nice enough but nothing unique - fruity, girly and summery. Reminiscent of early 2000s drugstore scents
The raspberry in this fragrance is incredibly sweet and juicy! This is such a bright, cheerful, fruity-musky scent that instantly lifts my mood. It lasts 8+ hours on my skin and I get compliments every time I wear it. Absolutely gorgeous — 10/10 highly recommend!!
Very similar to tendree.
I might be one of the happiest people about the popularity of raspberry notes. Many brands have released colorful red fruity flankers. Among the ones I’ve tried, I think this has the most elegant and summer-appropriate interpretation of raspberry. There’s a very bright raspberry in the opening, but unlike fragrances such as Dior Addict Purple Glow, Miss Dior Essence, or La vie Est Belle L’Elixir, it doesn’t feel as tart or carry the same gourmand-like sweetness because the rose gives it really nice support. The rose softens the sharper side of the raspberry, making the scent feel calmer. Peach is there too, but it stays in the background, letting the raspberry and rose take the spotlight without drawing much attention to itself. As it starts to dry down, the energetic and playful fruitiness of the raspberry and the clean, elegant character of the rose seem to gently clash with each other, while iris and musk step in and bring everything into balance. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting something like this from Chanel, but I ended up liking it. If other raspberry fragrances have felt a little too intense for you, and you’re looking for something lightly powdery, clean, airy, with a slightly pink vibe, this fragrance could be perfect for you.
This fragrance is so simple and not in a good way. Its like the embodiment of the word perfume. It just smells so... perfumey and doesnt have much else going on. Was given a sample and I will never use it again except to remind myself not to buy it.
