It's a simple, pretty citrus with florals and musk, there is nothing special about it, but it's nice.

smells like some straight baby powder ass. sorry samson love you

I think of Schweppes Russchian when I spray it. The notes that stand out to me are blood orange, vetiver, and iris. On my skin, it dries down to a warm cotton (and vetiver) type of scent. Lasts a few hours. It lasts forever on my clothes and is more citrusy. I like it, inoffensive and perfect all year round.

Eau Vive is one of the best takes on citrus notes. It strikes the perfect balance between orange and iris and it creates the most beautiful, tender aura. Iris is rather prominent on me alongside that polished Chanel note that turns Eau Vive into an instant classic. While cuddling he said I smelled so good and couldn't get enough of whatever perfume I was wearing – that's one of the reasons why I LOVE Chanel 💝

this review of aishanaz i think suits better to chanel chance eau fraiche...because this smells to me more like a masculine scent. this one is definitely on the feminine side. i have tried many fragrances, but this one stays in my collection for years..it´s my summer signature. for me it´s perfection. no other from this chance line has impressed me this much

eau de grandma.

Tested this fragrance today. The opening was gorgeous, lots of citrus, fresh and I could sense the iris behind, which softened the cirtrus. But after an hour it turned to be annoying, as the character completely changed. Mostly Vetiver, soapy something. It became more of a male’s perfume. Not even perfume! It reminded me of my grandfathers’ shaving foam that left its scent on his cheeks. Can’t believe that Chanel made this!

I was gifted this perfume by my grandmother, an owner of many things, and as a person who enjoys anything that is free to me, I can see this being a daily wear. It's a simple citrus floral that smells a bit astringent at times, but is otherwise floaty and pretty, if not a bit grandma-esque after so long of a wear. But I think that's where some perfumes stand best. It's not the most original, but it is great for an everyday wear. A pleasant pick me up. I have worn this since about 7am and it is now 12pm and the scent has lingered on the skin, but I will say it can be easy to become anosmic to this scent if you are not actively searching. Throughout time, it silently transforms into a quiet musk; a pretty skin smell. All in all, I like it. I give it a 3/5!

I consider this one of the most complete perfumes in my collection. If there was only one I could keep for the rest of my life it might be Chance eau Vive. Olivier Polge created something so special here. It’s very refreshing blood orange and jasmine in perfect harmony. The vetiver gives it depth and even a little intrigue. It’s just so multifaceted. Surprisingly, I also find it a somewhat intellectual scent. The one I want to wear when I’m painting. It’s really good for every occasion. Grounding and also uplifting. A very sensible perfume which I appreciate these days. Longevity and projection are eternal on me, but still polite. Perfection.

This is one of the most underrated fragrances out there. The drydown is PERFECT. it's just so lively and fun. The ample woods make it irresistible for me. I could drink it out of the bottle. I have to resist spraying it all over the place. This is like an updated version of Eau de Givenchy!

Fresh and elegant. Light but present. Great inoffensive everyday without being boring. Has the classic Chanel zing. My husband approves. I also have the Eau Fraiche edp which leans more sporty and is stronger. If you want strong, Eau Fraiche is the one. Eau Vive is more comforting and close. I feel like almost everything in my collection leans warm or has vanilla. This is a refreshing break-away from that profile. ✨ Also, I will get back into my car after having worn it to work and it smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers has been waiting for me.

This is my signature perfume and I can't even count how many compliments I get when I wear it. The longevity is moderate but in my opinion, this is a very polite and sophisticated scent, that only people in your close proximity should smell (the chosen ones). Nothing cheap about it, it is very classy and gives out clean girl vibe. Men love it, trust me.

This got on my hand when I tried to spray it and I had to rush to the restroom to wash it off and even the soap wasn’t helping enough. cheap, cheap, cheap!!

A fresh and soapy scent. Comes across as fresher than eau fraiche on my skin. I'm trying to decide if I love this, it wears very light and seems fleeting. I felt like I was huffing it when trying to smell it. Update: I was wrong, this one is noticeable and does last quite a while. I love the slight powderiness and bright citrus.

Very underrated chanel perfume. Beautiful, playful, young fresh scent! Its so beautiful. Also to layer with other chanel perfumes.

The opening smells like shoe polish. Not for me at all.

I'm back. OBSESSED WITH THIS ONE, I'm trying to use It less but it's almost imposible. I'm now on the 50ml Mark and i've had the full bottle for only a few months already. It's so comforting and alluring, and its such an easy reach for any plan! The Jasmine and Orange are so sweet and nice, on clothes It smells fantastic. Love It on rainy days! such a mood lifter ❤️🩹 call It antidepressant. also is It just me or you can layer this one with virtually any other perfume? It adds character and grounds the comp if the base is too much of a freshie, like l' imperatrice, be delicious or Daisy... Chance Eau Vive packs a strong punch of clean musk and vetiver that can play around a lot!

Анонім

It’s a perfume that feels fresh but never boring, soft but noticeable, and clean yet magnetic. A true everyday signature for those who want to smell elegant and radiant without trying too hard. 9/10

Fruity lemon with a hint of boldness underneath so that it stays classic instead of gym style energetic. Mostly sour at first, champagne drydown, dry and crisp, not bubbly. If you liked D&G Light Blue Love in Capri, you will like this one. More citrucy though and more complex.

I like it! On my skin it's nothing special... just a bitter orange scent without much strength. But on clothes this really comes alive. It smells like orange sherbet... sweet candy mixed with clean laundry. It has such a vivacious character to it. It's citrusy, but not the most refreshing. It definitely has warm weather vibes though, and it smells like it looks. Out of all the Chance perfumes, this one is definitely the most playful and interesting.

Very fresh and nice and smells still expensive and chanely. I think it's the most versatile version of chances

This is one of my most worn perfumes in my collection. I first wore it on a whim when I was visiting my parents and my mom owned a bottle. I had to have it after that. On me, it is a light, fluffy, citrusy musk. It is beautiful, inoffensive (so I can wear to work), and lasts on my skin all day. I am especially obsessed with the musk in this perfume. It is the perfect musk in my opinion. Highly recommend if you want an easy, but elegant perfume.

Анонім

Initial dislike to like. It mellowed substantially in the bottle and it no longer bothers me. It lost the strong notes of aldehydic? grapefruit and musk that were shooting up my nostrils. It is now a scent similar to Chance Eau Tendre but with clean citrus edge covering florals. Mellow and pleasant, perfect for everyday summer and spring and fit for the office. Rather faint and weak but classy. This summer I barely feel it (the same with its hair mist). Not even 3 hours of projection. All the other Chances perform perfectly.

verdict: super expensive face cream. Definitely a fragrance you can wear all year round

This is very nice, got a hold of a full bottle dated around 2019-2018, just opened It a few hours ago, so at the moment top notes are extra zesty (grapefruit). I feel like this one is like an EDT that needs some settling over time/oxidizing. On skin It smells a lot like Gabrielle, the grapefruit jasmine musk is the same progression on both fragrances at their very core but Eau Vive is fresh and zesty, I really really like the drydown it's demure but smells expensive af. Gabrielle is intended to go the soap route (citrus, powdery, musky White) but the grapefruit can be a treacherous note! On my skin It Will always turn acid, so the very essence of what Gabrielle tries to compell (a super soapy clean floral, DELIGHTFUL and contemporary) tends to turn sour. I wish It would translate on my skin as this clean citrusy soap, but instead it tries to be a freshie powdery yellow floral that inevitably turns extremely powdery. I got Eau Vive because I recently purchased Eau Splendide and realized that I really enjoy the Chance line bc of the drydown, fantastic woody crisp and musky. Some reviewers noted Vive as a stronger take on Splendide - I think both are very different but they do share nuances with other Chanel fragrances and in the drydown, I think the real sisters cojoined by variations of the same drydown are Chance EDT, Fraiche, Splendide and Vive (in drydown muskiness order haha!). will elaborate further soon, I do agree It has a phase where It just smells like weed right before it starts to settle (not bad tho). The woody sweet musky heart reminds me a lot of another freshie: Creed's Silver Mountain Water pre-reformulation, I think Vive can be fairly Unisex but it's also more floral than SMW. Besides the perfect musk, the Iris-Vetiver on the base also makes it a great candidate for a year-rounder, It lasts as a skin scent for more than 10 hours.

This smells a lot like Mojave Ghost from Byredo. It is a bit more citrusy and juicy though. This is also a better price point.
