L'eau de Parfum

I previously wrote a review for this saying it wasn't too sweet for me, but it's started to be just that..! I was experimenting (both bc my bottle is a gift from my bf & the bottle itself is pretty) & have started topping this off with small dabs of Dali Parfum. The dark smokiness of the clove & incense balance out the sweetness perfectly, and now this has circled back around to being really lovely to wear :0

Buttered popcorn, a caramel apple, s’mores with a charred smoky marshmallow, and sweet cotton candy plus a fruit punch to drink. It smells like the best sweets at the boardwalk, or a carnival. Probably best for cold weather. I like wearing it to bed.

This is quite a circus indeed. All of the notes are demanding my attention at the same time. It is almost a photo realistic circus, except for the iris. I like iris, but here it is the strangest intruder. I want to focus on the delicious gourmand situation but this floral keeps seering right through demanding my attention. It's like iris versus fair treats epic battle. The sandalwood adds to the confusion and also makes it lean masculine according to my husband. In a way, it does capture the essence of a Cirque show with its unexpectedness. Not your run of the mill sweet treat. I'll keep trying it until my sample is gone.

Ok WOWWW! I had high expectations of this one, and it blew me away. It's gorgeous! I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it's very well balanced. Not sure of longevity yet, it might need respray, but so far I'm in love. Signature scent potential.

This is an overpriced, worse version of Phlur Caramel Skin layered with Lush Let The Good Times Roll

I layer this with House of Bo XUXU, and the weirdness of each compliments each other.

I don’t love the opening but it doesn’t last long. After that, it settles into a lovely warm, sweet scent that carries hint of minty gum to me. It smells cleaner than I expected it to. Especially for a gourmand. I could actually see this wearing well in warm weather.

This is super unique and fun, you smell a lot of the caramel apples at first and then it settles to a soft amber vanilla with the caramel apple scent being a lot more faded but still noticeable. I smell zero popcorn in this which I was nervous about but it’s really more buttery smelling than popcorn. The longevity isn’t that great, I plan to get a travel size after my sample runs out to see if I really want the full.

Opens up with the scent of pure fruit loops. Thankfully that doesn’t stick around after the dry down. It becomes very nice, sweet, and whimsical with the cotton candy and popcorn. This isn’t a fall /halloween inspired fragrance but it reminds me of that. Unfortunately there’s next to no projection or longevity. This is something that needs a fragrance oil or intense version to come out before I’d buy the full size.

this is SOOOOOO fun and feels like being at a carnival. putting it on i immediately get hit with a burst of caramel apples, popcorn, and cotton candy. it's beautiful and silly, but unfortunately the performance leaves a little to be desired. i only get about 4 hours of wear before it disappears completely. but for that duration it's loud and proud, not a skin scent by any means. overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷🩷🖤 4/5

If you want to know what it smells like, look no further than the notes- they are exactly what you get, and each note has its moment to shine, creating a journey that remains interesting for hours. As a gourmand lover, this fragrance is a dream. It delivers sweetness and indulgence while maintaining enough complexity and balance to keep me coming back for another sniff. It really has an addictive quality! This is a fragrance that feels every bit as enchanting as the world that inspired it.

I had this one and like a moron, I decluttered it 🙄 Now, I’m getting another bottle because it’s the perfect Autumn/Holidays fragrance. It brings feelings of anticipation and butterflies, going to the fair in the evening with the smells of sugary treats while holding hands with your crush or your significant other…best feeling ever!!🩵

this smells exactly like a bowl of fruity pebbles with milk on first smell. if you take a couple more inhales, you can smell a nice bowl of buttery caramel popcorn as well. a weird food combo, probably something buddy the elf would eat, but in a perfume, it works quite well if you're into gourmands.

This is so fun, and is a completely wearable county fair scent. Probably the best use of popcorn, and it balances so well with the apple and florals that at no point does it get heavy or cloying, if anything, it disappears into a skin scent far too fast. I will wear this when I visit the fairs this summer, and I bet I will pull it out again around Halloween for that kettle corn note.

I really like this but I go almost completely nose blind to it within 15 minutes Edit: somehow eventually I stopped going nose blind to it so quickly. It does fade pretty fast for the price. That being said I’m going to have to buy a full bottle. I’ve really grown to love this and have used more than half of the travel spray in a month. It surprisingly works in hot weather. Edit 2: I’ve been on such a journey with this fragrance. I caved and bought a full size bottle because my travel spray is almost gone and I fear that I quite literally cannot carry on in life without it. I’ve completely fallen in love with this fragrance. I don’t know what it is but to me this just smells like magic. I don’t know how else to explain it. It smells magical and like fantasy. It smells like trips to the big yearly fall festival in my hometown when I was a child. I will be gifting the travel size spray to a few family members that enjoy gourmands this Christmas. I normally gravitate to more powdery fragrances but this one is just a touch powdery. It’s so comforting, well blended, and beautiful. I don’t normally wear gourmands in hot weather but this one works in the heat on me. It would probably be my new signature scent if it wasn’t so pricey. I just wish it lasted longer. I get about 4-5 hours out of it at most. It lasts much longer on fabrics than skin though. The bottle is also beyond gorgeous. I’ve never been to Cirque Du Soleil, or even seen any kind of circus for that matter. There’s just something about this scent that has me completely captivated. Going in I didn’t expect to even like it, I normally don’t enjoy a popcorn note. In this I absolutely adore the buttery popcorn note, it’s so perfect. I could go on all day.

I was so curious about this because I’ve heard so many people say they expected to hate it or they don’t like gourmands but they love this fragrance. And yknow what, as a gourmand disliker, I do like this. It’s really fun and evocative of a wholesome night out at a county fair or movie theater or some such. Will I wear it much? No. But I am glad I sampled it.

Received my first sample. I like it. Smells like captain crunch berries cereal. Its fun and very sweet. This can blend well with a unisex fragrance!

This perfume made me realize I really can’t stand popcorn notes. At least there's that.

This scent makes me think of two things: 1) My first job, working at a movie theater: specifically, popping popcorn and making cotton candy. 2) Going to the fair and walking around eating a candied red apple. I had put on something else straight out of the shower, but then walked by this bottle and couldn’t resist one spray on the back of my hand. Cut to me laying in bed smelling something I really liked but wasn’t sure what it was because I thought I’d put something else on out of the shower 🙃 My forgetfulness aside, I was feeling a little down but smelling this truly put me in a better mood. It’s just fun. Plain and simple. I do think you’re able to pick out the individual notes if you really sit with it but I think I like most about it is the overall zoomed out fragrance as a whole. And let me be clear: I hate kettle corn. This somehow is not that.

I thought it was so interesting that you really get taken on a journey thru scent. You really do get to smell each individual note. It's very fun. I liked it and want to collect a full bottle just to say I have it. I probably wouldn't wear it, but I know my niece LOVES it.

Fun and invigorating gourmand scent! It definitely reminds me of a carnival in a good way- I am getting notes of cotton candy, apple, and popcorn. I am not sure how much I would want to wear this as an every day scent, but it brings me joy.

Stopped being into the vast majority of gourmands a while ago, as most are way too sickly sweet and synthetic for me, but I am still VERY much in love with this!!! Rich but also airy, very sweet and slightly tart. Youthful but also mature simultaneously, never juvenile nor dated. A very contradictory (affectionate) scent that knows exactly how to be a lot without being too much.

This smells so good. It’s very gourmand, right away you get caramel, apples, buttered popcorn, but there’s also a woody depth that keeps it from becoming overly sweet or cloying. It feels deep and whimsical at the same time, like you’re at a fair or carnival at night 🎡 It’s rich, atmospheric, and slightly surreal in the best way. I’m honestly in love with it.

This smells like the small county fair my aunt used to take me to when I was younger, 10/10! It really takes me back to being a kid and walking around having so much fun with all the fair food, rides, and friends. Super nostalgic and cozy

This is gourmand through and through! Super sweet buttered popcorn with some caramel drizzle. Exactly how the theatre at a Cirque show smells. Impressive as an eclectic and avant garde scent, but not wearable for the average person.

nicer with the dry down. i was most excited to see this in person in a niche perfume shop in my city, as I love the bottle and wanted to love the fragrance to own it because truly, it's art. however it's literally just butter at first spray. you dont get none of that cotton candy/apple goodness til at least half an hour later. now it's fruity and bright but unfortunately it's kinda a miss if you don't want to well....smell like food fr. i love a gourmand but i think its a bit too savory to be perfume. thats on a bougie note. if you are more of a photorealistic/art angle perfume enthusiast (which i can appreciate through that lens, but i don't believe in overconsumption) you will definitely like it in your collection.

I love this scent! It's mouth-watering, sweet, caramel candylike, and I find the the sandalwood, amber and vanilla notes come though delicately but firmly on my skin, as well as the barest hint of iris, all of which seems to cut through the sweetness and ground it. I don't feel it is "teenage" or reading too young on me, but I don't use scented detergents, dryer sheets, lotions with scent, soaps, or shampoos that are overly fragrant, so I'm not stacking scents. I find I seem to get hugged a lot when I wear this fragrance :) I do occasionally get a whiff of the buttered popcorn, which I'm a little 'eh' about, but it seems to subside fast. I bought the .34oz travel size on Luckyscent, after buying a couple of little samples from them and using them up completely. If I still love this at the end of the travel size, then I will definitely purchase the bottle. If you find the scent a little intense when sprayed on the skin, I recommend getting a spray bottle, fill it with water, and then just add a very light spritz of the perfume, (or a few drops if you have a sample). I use it to mist my hair to style it, and I find it gives my hair a delicate scent, without being as strongly present as perfume applied to skin.
