keep it on my nightstand for when i remember to spray the back of my neck before going to bed bc kate moss' mom apparently sprays it on her face
smells like aftershave but this kinda slaps not gonna lie
smells like dirt
Oh god I wanted to love it so bad , but it smells like my grandpa and toothpaste, or like this 70’s bottle of avon aftershave. I am dying to find a fragrance that smells like what i’d imagined this would be.
Crisp and invigorating in hot weather.
One of my favourite spa like scents, although it’s definitely been reformulated the original is a brighter somewhat pine green herbal citrus scent, it’s now a more mild softer rounded slightly sweeter citrus weaker skin scent far less masculine leaning, it’s still good but not as great as the original.
My mum used to wear this when I was a child. I remember her getting ready for an evening event and choosing between this and eau ressourcante (also by clarins). We used to live in Cyprus, so this really reminds me of that Mediterranean sort of smell. At first, it smells like an orange and lemon orchard in May/June then after 30 sec it's like you can smell thyme and rosemary growing at the base of the trees.
Like another reviewer said, I find it refreshing and grounding at the same time. It smells vintage without being dated. It makes me nostalgic for summers in Greece in the 90's when I was a child. The image I get, is an apartment in Greece, next to the sea, with the summer-sun coming through the windows on a quiet evening, and bathing all the natural wooden furniture, books and flowers somewhat orange. That room, somehow smells exactly like Dynamisante to me.
Timeless, effortless, and secretly the ultimate layering fragrance Eau Dynamisante is one of those scents that feels universally wearable. I genuinely can’t imagine anyone it wouldn’t suit. The opening is beautifully aromatic and quite forward for the first 20–30 minutes — fresh, uplifting, and energising without being sharp. After that, it softens dramatically and becomes very subtle on the skin. It almost feels like it disappears, even if you’ve sprayed generously. But that’s part of its charm — it wears like an aura rather than a statement. What I love most is the duality: it’s invigorating yet calming at the same time. Fresh but grounding. Clean but never soapy. Projection and longevity aren’t its strong suits if you’re wearing it alone (you can spray a lot and it still stays close), but where it truly shines is in layering. It’s one of the best fragrance enhancers I’ve tried. With Libre Le Parfum, for example, it adds a beautiful nuance to the opening and somehow softens the intensity, making everything feel more seamless and refined.
This smells wonderful on the right people. It definitely isn't the scent for a classic footballer's wife! She'd want something more hyper sweet and femme, which this is not. On someone with a minimalist style, wearing natural linen or oversized wooly jumpers in winter, it's really lovely. Very refreshing and somehow wholesome. Can be worn by anyone, any age, any gender, they'll make it their own.
VERY masculine green scent! Soapy minty. Definitely manly. Very cool and fresh, tiny bit vintage. Don't get carried away by the red bottle!
I don't find this invigorating, I wear it to bed, it's comforting, warm and spicy. My bottle is 20 years old. I always found it weak, no staying power but now I can still smell it 12 hours later and days later on clothes. I gave the blue one to my aunt as I found it joyless, she loved it.
The shower gel of this is next-level. The scent reminds me of a specific luxury day spa I always go to when I'm in Bali. Edit: What did they do to this? Just bought a fresh bottle of the shower gel direct from the Clarins website, and the new bottle smells SO different from the previous one I used. I hate to say it, but it kinda smells like washing-up liquid. They reformulated this badly. Can't comment on the actual spray fragrance. 7/10
I definitely get why people call this a spa scent. Feels refreshing and grounding at the same time. There’s a nice zing to it and a smooth aromatic undertone through the whole wear. Quite a linear experience, but a nice one.
My bottle has a 2007 date on it. My impression is that it's a milder and smoother version of Z-14 (the older version, not the "cinnamon monster" formulation). Very nice, but I don't "need" both.
Shockingly retro and very evocative of nature. This is much better than ressourcante, which smelled depressing and impersonal, whereas this one has a zing that makes you want to get up and get your life together. Edit: Layer with wood sage and sea salt to paint a cool vacation morning
This is my favorite perfume. I really absolutely adore it, I found out about it when I worked at Nordstrom and wanted to buy a perfume. I was looking for something I could just wear to relax me but also something unisex, and I smelled the whole store, and found things that interest me, but this was a true gem. The girl was also young who sold it to me. She said it was amazing for layering and I also agree. The scent is intoxicating. I definitely think an elf or a Forrest nymph would wear this as I find it very ethereal in the spices used. Its not a fragrance for everyone but I think it's well rounded, no harsh notes whatsoever, and it warms nicely on your skin. I'd wear this any day, for any occasion. Its sophisticated, intelligent. Makes me want to stick my nose into an old fantasy book when I wear it, and cover up in a linen blanket. I kinda want this in tea, it just makes sense to me. It's that relaxing
Choosing this as my bedtime scent was wrong as it’s not a relaxing scent more of a rejuvenating one. A lot of people say this is a spa scent and I agree with that it definitely a warm weather spa scent for me. I decided to revisit it when I started looking into fragrance again as I remember this being a scent my stepmother wore in the 90’s and I hand fond memories. I’m not sure if the formula has changed slightly as it’s not quite as aromatic as I remember but it’s still pleasant. Is this a scent I’d wear day to day? No but it has its place and that place is facials and nail painting when I’m in self care mode.
My search for a “just out of the spa” scent is over! This is a unique gem! I blind bought it again based on reviews on fragrantica after trying a clarins body cream (lait corps hydratant vitalite) in a hotel spa and the scent is same! Thanks god i bought a 100ml bottle bundle with body cream at airport duty free for 50eu. The opening is very powerful spicy citrus and herbal to wake up all your senses, turns into a clean calming creamy woodiness. I dont detect any usual green fresh notes but interestingly the scent itself makes you feel very freshened up. I like to use it on my neck and wrists and i can still smell it hours later however very silently and elegantly. On clothing and linen it lingers days and days I love love love it, i cant stop smelling myself. It makes me feel sexy and sophisticated.
It reminds me so much of Breath of God by Lush, at least the way I remember it. It's herbal, cool, invigorating - almost like a cold flu balm. It makes me happy and I can't stop smelling it after I've tested it in a store. Now I'm so curious about the original formula - was it much different?
Very classic citrus chypre, very very close to an obscure fragrance that I own, Aeroplane by Detaille, this one is smoother and better.
This must have been reformulated. Old opening: Pine, thyme, lemon, rosemary. Refreshing. Real herbs. Old drydown: Warm, comforting and woody. Current opening: Orange and pencil shavings. Current drydown: Orange and pencil shavings. I understand reformulations may need to happen, but when a fragrance becomes so different to the original it barely represents it, the name should be changed.
I would say it's a classic in the refreshing cologne type of sprays. It's great out of the shower and during very hot days. But... there's tons of the same kind on the market (especially here in France) that might just be less expensive. I say that because it's pricey for the type of fresh water that has close no lasting power. That said... the smell is great ! So if you can splurge a little it's a good choice.
A brash acrid lemon at first (reminds me of Jean Nate) but a few minutes into it the lemon softens and turns into a herbal green almost pine like scent and then it disappears on me. Nice for home or for extreme hot weather but I would have to apply it every half hour to wear it as a perfume. I bought this purely because I heard it was Freddie Mercury's fave many years ago. I just recently rediscovered it and it's definitely a classic. Fans of Badedas will enjoy this as it has that refreshing horse chestnut scent.
Truly an essential
This fragrance was a delightful discovery for me. When I wear it, I feel like I'm stepping out of a luxurious spa. It's a very light perfume, perfect for spritzing before a workout or simply when I'm looking for an everyday refreshing touch. The only downside is that it doesn't last too long, making it somewhat suitable for casual activities rather than anything beyond that. I would recommend it mainly for those seeking a fresh, invigorating touch before bedtime or just for a relaxed day.
A true classic that never gets old. This scent is invigorating, fresh, and effortlessly uplifting, living up to its name. It’s like a splash of energy in fragrance form: brisk, citrusy, and aromatic, the kind of scent that instantly wakes up your senses and keeps you refreshed. Being a skincare fragrance, it feels more natural and gentle, but the downside is its fleeting presence. It’s something you want to keep reapplying throughout the day, and honestly, I wish it lasted longer. Still, for those moments when you need a quick boost, this is a timeless go-to.
I love to choose this on busy mornings along with the deodorant from the same line. Quick and easy uplifting and ready to go! Eau Dynamisante is complex enough, elegant, chic and totally trustworthy. Office friendly but not flat nor boring. On me is sometimes goes a bit gingery, but not in a bad way. Masterpiece with a friendly price tag.
Smells like an expensive spa. I read somewhere that Kate Moss wore this a lot in the 90s.
I love to wear this after getting out of the shower at night and I use the matching fragrances antiperspirant as well and just love everything about it. It’s very fresh and spa-like. Not a perfume but a refresher. It’s light and has a spa like essence. Spicy, masculine, earthy, sexy. It’s great for the gym, or spraying as an afternoon Pick me up energizer as well.
