Virgin island water is such a masterpiece of a frag in my opinion. Now while fragrances are subjective I find it very hard to believe anyone dislikes this scent. On my skin it’s very like forward for the first 45 minutes then the lime fades slightly as does the fragrance and for the rest of this fragrance’s journey it’s a very rummy almost pina colada coconut and instead of the sweetness coming from pineapple I smell it coming from a sugary lime. This is a very light mass appealing fragrance, and when I hear influences say mass appealing I think generic and boring but this is quite the opposite, if you can get you nose on it and spray on skin, never waste a spray of this on a tester strip
Yummy. A smooth rum with lots of sugar and a lime wedge. It kind of reminds me of hand sanitizer once it’s on my skin but I’m gonna choose to ignore that lol.
I had 10ml sample like 3 years ago and i finally get full bottle last year. Its smells exactly same as my previous sample. This is my holy grail fragrance as a coconut and tropical scents lover. 100% worth the price. Beautiful blend, amazing feelings, one of the best smells i ever experienced. Not too citrusy, not too sweet, not too fresh and fizzy, great blance - natural summery vibes. Its very hard to dupe. Longevity is 4-5 hours on me. People say it stays like 1 hour, but no. Am happy with 4 hours. 10/10.
tested this and immediately fall in love, love how fizzy the opening is and boozy at the dry down, reminds me of pina colada at kuta beach in bali, 10/10
Probably the best smell I’ve ever smelt whilst living. Absolutely incredible. Lasts as long as a fart tho…
fire vacation/summer fragrance, reminds me of a beach. It evokes a sense of happiness if that makes sense? it reminds me of summer walks on a trail. I'd get it
I don’t get why everyone is complaining about the performance. just use 38 sprays and it’s fine…
This one is all about the coconut and lime. They are blended to perfection along with the other notes that hang out in the background, but let the two main characters always stand out. To me, it's the definition of "Summer in a Bottle."
I typically do not wear fresh scents but this one is absolutely amazing and I can’t get enough of it. I definitely recommend it. The coconut and the lime with a touch of sweetness comes through. It’s just totally amazing.
The first time I smelled this fragrance, I loved it. A couple of years later, when I smelled it again, I still really liked it but just not as much as the first time. Maybe the formula has changed slightly, or maybe my taste has changed over time. I really enjoy the way coconut is used here. It isn’t a very common note, and Creed uses it well. The scent feels fresh, clean, and unique, and it still clearly has that recognizable Creed DNA. Unfortunately, the projection and longevity are poor on my skin. It becomes a skin scent very quickly. While it does last for a while, you really have to smell up close to notice it. The price is on the high side. While this is normal for a Creed fragrance, I try not to judge it based on the brand name alone. The scent feels well-rounded and the notes blend together nicely, but it doesn’t feel “next level” compared to some fragrances you can buy at a regular fragrance store.
Looking to buy a 2007 batch of creed virgin island water if anyone is interested in selling!!
The lime note is the absolute highlight — freshly squeezed, almost uncomfortably realistic, like you've just cut one open. It sits over a clean coconut and a soft white rum undertone that together smell like a fancy cocktail, tropical vacation vibes. The longevity -very very bad. Two hours and it's gone without a trace. Even the 2007 batch — the one everyone swears performs better — made no real difference for me. At this price point, that's really hard to justify.
In my opinion, it smells like a a pina colada -- lime, coconut, you name it. There is not much of a woody undertone grounding it, just a hit of paradise. Feels more tropical and fresh than sweet. Easy to wear. Pretty versatile overall, and most people could pull it off. Not at the level of a traditional office scent, but would depend on the occupation. Unisex by nature. Good: Easy to wear. Versatile. Mass appealing, but feels unique. Extremely well executed and beloved profile. Bad: Devastatingly bad performance. Overall 2/10. Might as well evaporate the second it touches my skin. Quite literally 5 minutes later nobody can smell it. It was truly fascinating how this can even happen... maybe the lack of strong base notes? Absolutely fantastic profile and a beloved scent. It's really too bad that the performance is miserable. Would be a 9/10 if it performed well, but honestly the poor performance is probably just the result of this kind of scent profile. If you like pina coladas, still give it a shot -- maybe the stars will align with batch variation and skin chemistry.
The go-to men's beach fragrance. You great fresh coconut, lime, orange, rum, but it somehow avoids all the pitfalls of that tropical beach accord: it contains a touch of woods so it is still masculine and classy smelling, it isn't too sweet, the performance is as good as you can get given the fact that the heart of the fragrance is mostly top notes. It's the only men's fragrance I like with a prominent coconut note, so if you don't like coconut fragrances, I wouldn't write it off just yet, maybe go to your closest Saks Fifth and try it on a tester strip. It's very easy for this type of fragrance to fall into smelling like a piña colada body feminine spray from Bath and Body Works, but it isn't that at all. One spray and you are instantly transported to a high-end, Caribbean beach bar cooling off with wicker ceiling fans; flooded with the sounds of cocktail shakers and crashing waves. It takes its biggest hit with price and versatility. $377 is a a high price to pay for a scent that only really works at a beach. Some people think that Tommy Bahama St. Barts is a clone of this, but the two don't smell like each other at all. Simone Andreoli Malibu Party in the Bay does smell pretty close, but has less coconut and is also expensive. Best best is to get a 5ml decant of this and stick it in your luggage whenever you go to the beach.
On the skin it just smells like churchill
Smells super tropical, as you could expect. It’s quite coconutty and has a tartness from the lime and rum, just such an amazing smell. Longevity sucks though, put some on before a 2 hour flight and it wasn’t even a skin scent when I landed
Smells like if you summerized Fan Your Flames
looking for a preferably sealed blue cap batch, any size. message me on here if willing to sell, preferably based in europe.
I get a brief waft of something like coconut rum and lime on the skin just faintly- it disappears completely within an hour. Ridiculous.
It is a lime bomb on me in the opening, margarita in a perfume. Drydown gets sweeter and brings out the coconut and a little of the rum toning down the citrus as it warms on the skin. It smells like a day at the pool vacationing at a high end resort (which I have never done but can imagine) It also smells like a designer perfume. One of a kind but overpriced.
Full disclosure: I’m an alcoholic in recovery. That being said, the opening on this scent was that of a warm summer night on the beach, but then quickly dissipated into smelling like I spilled a Malibu Bay Breeze all over myself. and those where what I went for when I needed something cheap to get the job done. That being said, if coconut, rum, and beach vibes are your thing, this could be the winner. Very much a summer scent. Reminds me too much of the “glory days” so it’ll be a skip for me.
عطر سهل الارتداء جميل
Imagine Charlie Sheen from Two and Half men. Care free, rich, groomed, ladies man and rum soaked😄. Virgin Island water is this to me.
one of the most beautiful scents I've ever smelled🥰🥰
An expensive liquid version of Banana Boat coconut sunscreen. If that's what you want, buy this fragrance... Or just put a couple dabs of SPF 30 on your neck.
Greatest summer perfume alongside pacific chill , sweet vanilla sugar with lime it's feels like a bit sweet coconut oil with like not oily type of oil , but sweet type of 10/10
As a Creed hater I love this fragrance. Despite the horrible longevity it's delicious and a beautiful but simple combo of coconut and lime with the rum giving a nice boozy smell.
Feels like a pretty standard cologne style composition with some coconut added. It’s fine. Not mindblowing or anything, but pretty classy and well blended. For this type of “vibe” I would rather buy beach hut though
Idk if it was bcz it was Winter or my skin chemistry but it smelt like straight coconut oil
