Sauvage Parfum

I had the edp and elixir and now parfum. Edp: Freshest, Soapiest, most Citrucy and Aquatic. matches for summer / spring the most but its a year round fragrance overall. Elixir: Darker, Spicier, Richer, and more Bittersweet. matches for winter and fall the most. Parfum: EDP, but less Citrusy and Soapy, More Deeper, Sweeter, Creamier, Woodier Sauvage edp. still somewhat fresh and soapy because of the edp's dna in here. matches for winter fall spring the most, and summer nights. parfum is my favorite, only because i love sweeter fragrances overall. projection: Edp 10/10 Elixir 100/10 Parfum 7.5-8/10

Absolut hate this and all of it flankers. People wearing this, just wear it to annoy other people. Recently a guy wear it in the Gym and we could smell him in every corner of the room. This juice is absolutely disgusting and it should be forbidden to wear in public spaces. If my daughter would date a guy wearing this, I would kick him out of my house.

I'm confused to why 770 people (and counting) think this smells like the EDP...they're absolutely nothing alike. The EDP has a fresh spicy, soapy quality because of its aromatics (mostly anise, sichuan pepper berries, and lavender), and the Parfum is soft woody, warm, smooth, and powdery because of its heavy dose of sandalwood. The EDP is very much a modernized barbershop fougere because of its spices and lavender (and big dose of ambroxan), and it's much more versatile for daytime use across seasons. The big dose of powdery woods in the Parfum make it more of a cooler weather fragrance, particularly good for evening use. For anyone wondering, you can absolutely own both the EDP and Parfum and not have duplication in your collection because they're not similar and can serve different purposes. Now go out there and spend more money. 🤑

I have the 200ml Parfum Version and used 10% of the bottle. I tried hard to like it but it is not my cup of tea. I am willing to sell it (Portugal).

I do find it more addictive than the original a fresh citrus opening that dries down to a nice sandalwood performance is more advanced than the edt overall a very nice fragrance that is suitable for everything 9.3/10

If you don't get any sauvage better start with the edp , ever wise it more sweet and warm smell of the edp i like to mix them

This is my experience with the Sauvage line: ➡️ Really not a fan of Sauvage EDT. Too peppery/screechy for me ➡️ Never smelled EDP as I thought I would only waste my time with this line ➡️ Tried Elixir at the store and really liked it ➡️ Blind bought Parfum and really love it. Very similar to Prada Carbon that’s always gonna be top shelf stuff for me ➡️ Never tried Sauvage eau de jizz forte

The smoothest Sauvage by far. My most complimented fragrance right along with Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy edt. While they might not be hugely innovative, I can't deny that women really like them both. I enjoy them very much myself because I have never been drawn to fresher fragrances. So in the summer I reach for things like this, Bad Boy edt, Ultra Male, 212 VIP Black and Y EDP and Le Parfum both. As you can see I enjoy the sweeter of the fresh fragrances. But if I want to smell refined in the summer I am very limited in my selection. Basically you have this, BDC Parfum and then Acqua Essenzialle Blue. I have yet to try Hamdan the Shiekh, but it is supposed to be very close to this for under a third of the price! I will be making it my very next purchase. But if you want something dense, sophisticated and still fresh enough for Summer wear indoors, then I would go with this one first every time.

I’ve never smelled Elixir. I prefer No. 1 Parfum. I think the dry-down is a sweet amber-woody or ambroxan note—that’s my favourite part. 10/10

Best in the line and an all year fragrance EDT is the only fragrance that made me throw Up. I use Prada luna rossa carbon EDT it's the same but better ingredients and more balanced. EDP smells too screechy Elixir... What the hell is even that Aqua forte... F that

Hah, the irony of the twink twelve reviews down having the absolute audacity to call anyone "gay" for not liking Sauvage. Be real my guy, you're not in any position to be talking about "dumb chicks" or "stolen girlfriends." And you're definitely not stealing anyone's girl. 😂😂 Parfum is by far the best Sauvage iteration. EdP makes me sneeze and gives my wife a headache. Elixir, often billed as the least Sauvage Sauvage, is both very Sauvage and is about as well blended as moonshine. The EdT is OK, but irritatingly ambroxany. The Parfum hits just the right chord. It's the smoothest and most addictive of the lot, yet is arguably the least well known. That's a tragedy because it's honestly one of the better things put out by Dior in the last ten years.

It actually smells so good and always got a lot of compliments everytime I wear this. However, there are times when wearing it gives me a headache that’s why I rarely wear it, even during winter. Overall, it’s a solid winter fragrance.

I never got on the sauvage boat, but to be honest I was always curious how it smelled. That being said, I got a decant of the parfum and it's actually pretty nice. I still prefer BDC parfum with this type of profile but I don't think sauvage deserves the hate it gets, at least the parfum. Woody, musky and not bombastic. Very solid musky blue fragrance that to my nose doesn't smell too synthetic but for sure has some ambroxin in it.

Definitely the worst in the line up. I have yet to smell the elixir but the EDP is the best and it is also a 0/10. My friend said it smelled like a Walmart pine candle. I have no idea how to explain the smell but it just smells like an extremely horrible synthetic candy like smell. I wouldn't exactly call it bubblegum but I don't know what else to call it. It almost smells like a really bad floor cleaner. I do not understand the hype behind the sauvage line, I am guessing everyone fell for the marketing with Johnny Depp. I'm so disappointed I really don't get how anyone could find any of these fragrances enjoyable. It doesn't smell like woods at all. I would honestly rather wear 12 sprays of the most barnyard oud fragrance than any sauvage. I am hoping the elixir is better since everyone says it's a whole different fragrance. I would absolutely avoid anyone wearing this around me.

Best sauvage for me I never was a fan of this line and it’s everywhere. This is best smelling sauvage for me with fresh opening and smooth woody and creamy vanilla dry down. It has a powdery freshness to it. I feel this layered with BDC parfum would make such a nice combination

Very nice fresh, musky, masculine scent. I like it, definitely high quality, but surprisingly I little bit generic for me. There are a few drug store brands where I'm from that has the same fresh musky scent, obviously not the same quality and longevity as Dior, but in the same scent family. Because it's not very unique in my opinion, I wouldn't waste my money on it. But if I had the money to throw at it for a long lasting, high quality, masculine fragrance, then I would go for it.

As far as bubblegummy designers, this is the best of the best.

We all hate Sauvage because of its popularity and how it's overpriced, but let's be honest, there is a particular reason why it's so popular, and the heavy marketing cannot explain it fully. This Parfum version smells ridiculously good. It's masculine, sexy, and bold. This is like an iPhone in the fragrance world. If you don't want to look for the best price-to-quality ratio, you take it. If not, you skip it.

First of all i wanna say i have a clone of this (its NOT hamdan the sheik) so not the real thing but its similar i think It opens up with a fresh sweetish-slightly sour citrusy smell but not a light fleeting smell,you can almost feel it has a weight/body?,i also used to notice a slight piney,almost juniper berry like resinous menthol green and bitter-sweetish note but i dont get it anymore,this citrusy scent persist for the first hours making this scent a balance of citrusy-fruity fresh sweetness and a woody-powdery slightly vanillic and sweet vibe (citrusy notes are the strongest for the first hours) as it dries down the citrus starts calming and woody notes (listed as sandalwood) and other listed oriental notes such as vanilla,tonka bean and olibanum become more prominent (which i dont know if olibanum the reason of the slightly incensy feel i can sometimes notice or the piney resinous feeling in the opening) as i said im judging of the clone i use so this is a versatile fragrance you can use year round for office,school or special occasions and date nights,may be a little bit too sophisticated for daily or gym use but you can still use it (but it might be a bit on the heavier side at the summertime) that lasts long and projects good,only if the drydown would be a tad bit weeter i think it would be better,my rating is 4,5/10 for now also i used to have a friend that had this fragrance (he claimed it was original) and i remember a less citrusy more woody chocolatey or coffee-like vanilla forward scent but i might be remembering wrong because another friend i knew that was well acquainted with the sauvage line said his neighbour has this fragrance and mine smells the same as his.

The Parfum is my favorite iteration of Sauvage. The EDT smells great but disappears within a couple hours on my skin. The EDP is better but ultimately fades sooner than I would expect. Every time I wear them I'm surprised people think they are so strong. The Elixir, on the other hand, is atomic and eternal. Unfortunately it is far too warm and spicy for the heat where I live. Surprisingly the Parfum checks all the boxes for me. Too bad I had to buy all the others before realizing it 😆

I will never get the force hate for Dior Savauge line. Like this dudes that are hating this fragrance be gay or either their chick got stolen from the dude that wears Savauge 😂. Cause it is and it will be timeless designer fragrance of all time. My dad, uncle used to wear this fragrance (not now) and rn in my 20 Iam also wearing this boy and its still a banger 💯. You can wear this line literally every where (except Elixir)any time. Its sophisticated, charming, masculine, classic, not too offensive, not too sweet, not too spicy, huzz obsessed with it though they be saying its trash. Once one dumb chick in my class was saying Savauge is bad fragrance and she hates it😂, next day I wore Savauge parfum and the first person that noticed and complimented my perfume was literally SHE… This people are just too simple to have their own opinion and they are hating what others somehow hate. Mine favourite is Parfum version like its too sexy and sophisticated i wear it mostly when i go clubbing and almost everytime end up chicks kissing my neck and saying mmmm whats that sexy smell))). Just wear what u like and stop being mass of people, start owning ur own opinion). Facts!!!

Such an addictive scent, sweet, with a bright citrus note. It is the most interesting out of the Sauvage line not including elixir. Will definitely pick up a jumbo size bottle of this soon.

Unfuckwithable ! Everyone hates the A student. This is fragrance perfection and I have a massive collection. I laugh when people say its not unique when 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of men today smell like bo, weed , and desperation. I know we all think everyone wears cologne but its so rare to smell anyone else wearing a fragrance day today.

DiorSauvage Parfum 2019 House: ChristianDior Perfumer:FrançoisDemachy Concentration: Parfum Purchased: February 2024 (~$200 for 100ml retail, often on sale or at discounters) Reason for review: Finished bottle in February 2026 BLUF: Masculine,clean, mass appealing, office-friendly scent thatworksyear-round. Highly recommended forguys 40+ in the Midwest US. Fragrantica Notes: Top: Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Elemi Heart: Sandalwood Base: Olibanum, Tonka Bean, Vanilla My interpretation of the notes: In the opening I definitely get a clean and soapy citrus but would not be able to pick out the individual notes that contribute to this as all three can have that quality. The heart and base are the same way, and while I get a pleasant vanilla dry down that retains a hint of the citrusy opening, I cannot differentiate the various notes from each other. Is this because I have an untrained nose or maybe is this what is meant by a well-blended fragrance? I think we can safely assume that it is a bit of both. Similar scents or vibe: Outside of the Sauvage line you could look at Bleu de Chanel, with the Parfum concentration being the most similar to this with a slightly darker take. For a more citrus forward feel, Terre d’Hermès Parfum would be a great option that can be found at amazing prices from discounters. I haven’t experienced anything in the niche world that would provide a similar experience, but I am sure that there is something out there that would fit. The experience: The fresh and clean opening reminds me of a citrus tinged bar of soap that sticks around all day, drying down to a subtle vanilla with a hint of wood. Stays close to the skin with very little sillage and an intimate projection. Does not overstay its welcome, washes off easily in the shower and what lingers on clothing is just a fresh, clean scent that could be mistaken for fabric softener if worn again the next day. This is a slightly boring but really easy to wear fragrance. I wore it almost exclusively to the office where it seems to have been well received. Even with it sitting close to the skin, it did elicit a handful of positive comments from both friends and colleagues as well as a few strangers during times of closer than normal contact. I mention this because I had worn the EDP on a Costco run a while back and got chased down by a lady that said she had been following my scent trail and just had to find out what I was wearing. From what I can tell, this does not have that kind of sillage and has only drawn attention in close quarters. I wore this as my exclusive work scent beginning in February of 2026 when my bottle was down to about 1/3. Wearing it every day gave me an appreciation for the quality that Dior puts into their fragrances. Even though my nose is unable to really pick out every nuance, I can still tell that the wearing experience feels smooth with no harsh or off-putting aspects to sour the experience. This scent is appropriate for most situations with the caveat of being judicious with the sprays in the heat or the gym if you are buying this as a 1-and-done type scent. It could get overwhelming in a hot and humid setting if heavily applied. The bottle and presentation are perfect for what they aim for. This is a high-end designer fragrance from a house that is known for excellence. The bottle is aesthetically pleasing in the signature Sauvage style and the pressurized atomizer works flawlessly. The magnetic cap is perfectly aligned to always be in the correct orientation both on top and with the Dior bee inside the cap. The box is minimal but well made. Dior is protective of their name so the deals you will find at discounters are usually not as steep as others but even at retail, this fragrance offers a very good value. It is very easy to find a good sale at retail with some patience or by opening a store card for a decent discount. Professional administrative career in healthcare. Happily married with my wife having a lot of input into my fragrance choices. In fact, this purchase was her choice as I had been avoiding the Sauvage line altogether up until she had me try this while out frag shopping. My fragrance experience would put me at an advanced beginner with a collection sitting around 40 bottles including a mix of designer, niche, and luxury scents. I fell down the fragrance rabbit hole a few years ago after my signature scent of 20 years was discontinued and I turned to the internet to discover my next fragrance of choice. Final thoughts: I highly recommend this to anyone that relates to my review. It is easily found in most department stores and places like Sephora/Ulta so as nice as this is, you would be an idiot to blind buy it, please don’t! As mentioned earlier, the EDP concentration is thought to be the best version of this DNA with better performance and maybe a better scent profile though, to my (admittedly dysfunctional) sense of smell, it is way more soapy and burns my nose a little bit. The EDT that started it all smells great, is a bit harsher than the EDP and may come with some baggage depending on your situation and social circle but for most, this should be a non-issue. The Elixir is a different animal altogether and while great, for me it has an entirely different use case than the EDP or Parfum and has very little in common with them. Altogether, it is a great line from a great house.
