Splendor

I was gifted this by my aunt. A strange thing to do when this has been her signature scent for years. It's nice; starts off extremely strong and smelling of alcohol, but dries down floral and slightly powdery, definately the scent of a mature woman. Not the sort of thing I would gift to someone under the age of 25. It's inoffensive enough to use as a room spray, but I wouldn't wear it.

Serene, fresh, flowery and absolutely gorgeous! Extremely budget friendly, lasts for ages on my skin and clothes. Good for work, weddings, and just for enjoyment. Compliment getter. I love these grand ol' scents with loads of different ingredients balanced and harmonised to perfection. I you like fresh florals you may want to try this one.

I just got this and after wearing it for the past few hours I think it's quite lovely, crisp and apple green on first spray. Definitely floral heavy, which I love, to my nose it's quite soft. After that initial burst the fruitiness of the pineapple becomes more pronounced. More melon leaning than pineapple, enveloped in light white and pink florals. It's not a super sweet perfume despite the fruits, but more of a dry fresh scent like clean laundry or shampoo/conditioner. It's airy, breathy and cool. I definitely see wearing this in spring and early summer. Fresh out of the shower before a walk in the spring breeze. I really like it, I think it's quite a timeless and easy to wear scent. Exactly what I was hoping for.

The price was too good not to buy it. However , it not the sexy sweet scent I usually go for so illl have to sell or give away sadly. I prefer 5th avenue. This is slightly too floral powder for me 😪 Edit: After spraying a few more times, I’m getting the fresh bursts people are talking about. I would use this after a good shower on a sunny morning!

I really like this. Such a lovely surprise - I just saw it on a drugstore shelf and gave it a sniff, then bought it next day for £14! I get a lot of pineapple throughout, with some nondescript white flowers. It's fruity-fresh and not overpowering. Very nice and a good price, too. Safe choice for the office as long as you don't overspray.

A little bitter, very tea like perfume. It does feel a lot older than something a twenty year old should spray LOL, but I think perfume is ageless and anyone can spray this, just see if it's your taste

A definite (and not unpredictable) like. This is a simple white floral bouquet, with a slight sweet fruity note and no indolic tones. It's also quite soft, unlike most of the other bouquet style Arden offerings (red door, 5th avenue). It smells like a non-descrpit vase of white flowers and sweet pea with a cut up fruit platter on the same table. This doesn't particularly do anything impressive, unless you consider it a small marvel to make a gentle floral bouquet at a discounter's price. It's just pleasant, and sometimes that's enough.

A beautiful floral bouquet. I feel like every flower you can think of is in this, therefore it makes it difficult for my nose to pick out anything too specific. I find it has decent longevity with better sillage on me. It does stay closer to my skin throughout the day, more so on my clothes. Sometimes I layer it over a white musk and its very pretty. In today's day and age its nice to wear something that doesn't make you smell like a baked good and every other girlie you pass on the street. I'd rather smell like a floral shop rather than a bakery.

I wanted to leave a review here simply stating that this was, unfortunately a hard pass for me. I do not hate EA or the perfume, I think it just was not meant to be. I never thought I would rue the day that a perfume came across as purely PISSY to me but this did that lol. And of course this is an oldie right, no way to really test it. It was a blind buy, I took a calculated risk and it did not turn out well for me but that's ok we learn from our mistakes. That being said yeah this was unwearable for me and I did end up giving it away. It smelled purely of pee on my skin. Not indolic like ooh, pissy sort of lilies either, this legitimately was cat piss on my skin D: A shame too since I adore the house of Elizabeth Arden and have had success with almost all of the other fragrances/cheapies I have gotten from EA. So yes, if you want to take that gamble go for it! Was a N/A for me (I'm not going to rate the perfume a 1 or anything because it didn't work it just.. Yeah can't form a proper opinion due to skin chemistry not working out).

Comforting and uplifting, it's a pick me up and a really nice white floral with a sweet pea accord that makes me love it even more. I use it mostly while at home, but also for errands when I need to feel like it's spring, even though it's not. My husband enjoys it a lot, and he's fussy with my more elaborate perfumes. Well made white florals will always be enjoyed by most men, and this cheapie is a good example.

White floral bouquet. Opens quite loudly but settles quickly into a pleasant mix of white florals. Very well blended as can’t detect them individually. If I had to choose maybe the main one is Lily. I don’t pick up on any of the other colour flowers. It’s just fresh, green and white. Longevity and silage are decent. 🤍💚🌿💐

Splendor is unexpected. At first it smells like a generic white floral, something similar to 5th Avenue however as it warms and opens up the florals and fruits develop. The apple, pineapple and bergamot are perfectly blended to create a light, green and dewy quality- with just a touch of sweetness. As the fragrance dries down it opens more and becomes a delicate green tea powder like sencha. To me Splendor is an oriental garden in spring. It’s what I wanted Green Tea the perfume to be. The lasting power is pretty decent, lasting 3-5 hours on my skin. It’s a beautiful fragrance that is understated, unique and refreshing.

Y'all are actually insane. There is no powder notes, no rose, no granny notes, nothing vintage and certainly no fucking pineapple or sweet/fruity/spicy/oriental notes wtf. It's all ethanol-heavy, synthetic green and white florals, but it's fairly weak with no sillage so you definitelly won't ruin anyone's day with it. Pretty versatile, mainly due to being boring and weak; NPC perfume. Millenials would probably like it most. Made me feel like I was masking or crossdressing or undercover. I bought it cuz it was cheap :P Pros: Fresh Clean Crisp Subtle Light Inoffensive Very versatile (any age, gender, setting, season) Green and white floral notes Cheap Man repellant Good for diverting attention away from yourself Cons: Boring Unpleasant upon spraying, but it mellows out within seconds Synthetic Cheap again Smells mostly of ethanol, especially at the start Weak Now this is somewhat biased because I don't like very boring perfume, but I do enjoy fresh/green/clean/white florals. So yeah, take this with a grain of salt.

Just like @angelinavi said it really smells like a flower shop, even though the opening is a bit harsh, there something so beautiful, going to these simple perfumes. its so vintage and harry potter like to me. it also smells like the Ylang Ylang 49 from Le Labo. Il absolutely mix them with my horrifying demonic ass gothic perfumes on a bad day.

As a die-hard fan of vintage florals, I can say this is a YES for me, because it's a good floral for any season, without smelling too strong or too much, but it doesn't mean it's not a very mature and classy smell, and that's amazing! I can sense something really acid / fruity / lemony on its drydown, along with the flowers and the base, which makes it even more interesting to my nose.

Immediately after spraying you get transported to a flower shop, the freshness of the green apple makes it light and not as overwhelming, and slowly as it dries it gets more complex. Upon drying I get a very strong rose, I try to be careful with the amount of sprays as it could become quite sharp, but otherwise it's very pleasant. Later becomes a teensy bit powdery and still retains some of that freshness. It feels like a very classic white floral, I understand why it may come across as mature, and I can picture a sophisticated woman wearing this and driving a vintage car. Definitely a spring fragrance, very ladylike. Sillage is initially moderate, as the hours go by it becomes more intimate, longevity of 4-5 hours on my skin. Dont ask me why but i've been layering it with masculine woody scents to make it more unisex and the results are to die for!

I love this. My mum wears it (she's 70) because she likes anything "lily of the valley". I spray this on myself whenever I miss my mum too much (she lives far from me). Its a nice old school scent that evokes many fond memories. Heavy floral that turns sweet on the dry-down.

I truly wanted it to be a good blind buy by the beautiful bottle alone but this perfume truly is the definition of too much. The bunch of flowers within the perfume overwhelms the smell that honestly brings headaches. It's strong to the point you can taste it. If your into the overwhelming smells this is the one. It's not sweet despite the abnormality in flowers; it's old fashioned a very much old people smell.

This is well done classic, flower's scent. I would say it is in the same line with Diorissimo by Dior! But has no sharpness like in Diorissimo. Similarity with Lalique Fleur de Cristal (which I own too) is minimal- Fleur de Cristal is mostly very cold "somewhat synthetic lily of the valley and sharpness of some chemistry". While Splendor has more natural vibe, soft and with complex of flowers. I would say the main singer in Splendor is lily and narcissus flower..(why I feel here narcissus?). I have blossoming narcissus in my room right now and it smells just like Splendor.

I definitely have a thing for vintage white florals and this one really tickled my fancy when I first discovered it. I still love it so much, I have a back up bottle, and I think I enjoy it most in the spring although I’ve worn it in every season. But something about springtime air makes it sparkle almost like a white floral champagne that hovers. ✨

I don't wear this perfume but I've kept it because my mother gave it to me when I moved to France to live with my now husband. The text is why she gave it to me... "Sometimes there's a moment when everything comes together... a moment of splendor." The perfume is floral and with delicate notes of something aquatic to me for some reason. It's very nice... but as you can imagine it's not why I kept it.

I was expecting a more mature scent but this is not it. It opens green and fresh and dry down is a very subtle floral. I'm in love with the bottle. Something you'd have in your vanity to make it look good. Also 125 ml for the price??? I'm sold. Plus it's long lasting and not overpowering. Very 20s or 30s. Not childish but not heavy and mature. This needs a few minutes to dry down because when first applied it's an extremely sharp overbearing white floral with an overpowering Lily of The Valley note. Once settled however then it's lovely. This perfectly encapsulates spring in a way no other fragrance is able to do it. The pineapple and green apple notes in this give it a lovely watery fresh sweetness to it that I love. In a way this almost feels like a blend of other Elizabeth Arden fragrances, those being 5th Avenue and True Love but it still has it's own character. This has an extremely classic vibe to it and I'm surprised it was released in the 90s because it smells more like something from the 50s, 60s or 70s. Really enjoy this.

Harsh, overwhelming opening then fades very quickly. Just a jumble of floral notes, no depth or character. And the nozzle was faulty, something that seems to be a issue with Elizabeth Arden fragrances in general. No for me. I want something more nuanced and sophisticated.

EA Splendor is a very deep and soapy floral. It is gorgeous for gorgeous occasions. It is not suitable for daily use in summer. To me at least. Many say it is great for summer but to me it is so heavy to carry in summer daytime. It has a very vintage and classic vibe. It's mature. It's not light at all. Edit: Oh I found its beauty at last. I also realised you need months to come to a conclusion about a perfume. To me, It's now sweet and a bit creamy. Oh how beautiful it is! I thought it would not be appropriate in summer time but my opinion is now changed. It smells so cleannn and sophisticated. I feel like ahhh when I sniff.. Such a beauty. I can't say about projection though. But it's long lasting, and I love it better after dry down. In the first 20 minutes it's a blast of many many flowers. After dry down the smell is like dewy white flowers. Something dewy has in it. It has a very rich kinda scent, I mean scent of luxury. Sweet powdery poshhh. Very posh. Ummahh. I thank myself for not decluttering it 🫠

For reasons I can’t even tell you, I always by passed Splendor on Arden counters and bought 5th Avenue, Arden Beauty and the Green Tea/White Tea varieties. I saw this on sale online and felt bad for never trying this one, so blind bought it and got it yesterday. Early days yet but I can tell you this is a typical classic scent that is perfect for everyday, casual wear. It leans powdery on me and gives a clean girl, pretty vibe, so it is going in my “easy reach” pile. Nothing spectacular about it but good enough to wear and feel pretty and carefree.

When I smell this perfume, it's like I see white flower petals kissed by morning dew, waiting to be warmed by the rays of the summer sun

I have to agree with Sabina8019: this is a generic, old fashioned and old maiden smell. Reminds me of the chemical compound nonenale, also known as the "old people smell". Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

A light, airy, effervescent and ethereal scent. If fairies existed, this is what their scent would be like. This scent is elevated and has a purity fit for angels. It is considered a preferred wedding fragrance for good reason. It is like Brut Champagne mixed with Sprite and Club Soda when it is fresh. As it macerates, it turns into Champagne, Ginger Ale and Sprite with more sillage. Then it has a similar DNA to Tommy Girl with the heavier Jasmine notes but a tad less sweet. It is a beautiful scent but it does not have lasting sillage due to it's light profile (or until it macerates). It is like a whisper after the initial blast. The modest bottle design does not do it justice as a more ornate crystal faux diamond encrusted design would have been more apt. It is the counterpart to EL's Pleasures and I would say EA's Splendor is more fizzy or bubbly.
