Cherry in the Air

I used to love Cherry in the Air back in the day. It didn’t last very long on my skin, but it was such a good vibes kind of scent 🍒

It's a sweet, fruity fragrance with such a positive vibe. I really enjoyed wearing it

We sold this when I worked at Ulta years ago. It smelled absolutely delicious, perfect for the spring or summer. I wish that I could find it to purchase or something very similar.

Around 2022, I saw this at a Goodwill Boutique store and did a test spray on a paper strip and on my wrists. I thought it was nice, but not knowing it was a limited edition and no longer produced, I didn't buy the 3/4 full bottle for $30. After I got home, I kept getting wifts of it and liked it alot more, but it started wearing off within hours. For the next couple of days, everytime I walked by my coat, I kept smelling this Amazing, musky, slightly fruity/floral scent. I finally figured out the smell was in the coat pocket and found the paper strip! I fell in love with the dry down, musky, cherry scent and rushed over to the goodwill to buy it. But, it was gone...my loss. I searched for it online and That's when I learned it was no longer produced!! I went to ebay and was SHOCKED by the asking price. Anyway, I've been searching for the perfect Cherry perfume ever since then. I Love TF LC but it's sooo expensive, I'm still searching...

This is my favorite scent of all time, but this is the only perfume I've ever worn that actively got comments like "who smells like an old lady?" etc.

I’m so mad at Escada for creating so many perfumes that were available for a limited time! This is in my top 5 fragrances of all time! Sweet, fruity, fun, flirty. Ugh!!! I miss it!

I bought this back in 2014 when I was obsessed with Escada.The first spray was intoxicating. But as with all passionate flings I grew bored of it quickly. It has spent over a decade in my perfume purgatory (the back of the drawer). Today, the projection is practically non-existent. If this scent was any more of a skin scent, it’d be in my bloodstream. And longevity has always been Escada's achilles' heel. No surprises there. The tangy cherry is still noticeable, framed by some light, pretty florals. I used to get some marshmallow once it settled aswell. Not anymore. Maybe it matured. Maybe it has forgotten how to have fun. Aging does that. To all of us, eventually.

Opens with fruity, sugary cherry. Notes; Cherry, musk, musky-spice, fruity, spicy-sweet aromas, sugary notes, musky-cherry, strawberry? "Spritzy" red berries and finally some faint floral notes. Performance on me was not that bad, holds on to a musky-cherry note for a good few hours. Has soft projection but lasts as a skin scent for quite a while (on my skin.) Leans feminine but if released by a niche house today would be marketed as unisex - guys can rock this IMOHO. Good all year but more of a day scent. Has a shower gel vibe at times, but as far as cherry frags go, I like it. Real shame it was discontinued.

If anyone is looking for a similar perfume/dupe (weird to say this for a much more expensive fragrance), check out Indecent Cherry by BTSO. It is a more 'older sis' version of Cherry in the Air, with also much better longevity and sillage.

Sweet cherry in the opening that last about 2 minutes, afterwards the only notes that I can smell are the powdery marshmallow and suede, it's a truly beautiful scent and for some reason it reminds me of a nursery room

Just a little review to share that the newly released perfume by the brand "Curations By THE GOOD SCENT" called "SWEET LIKE CHERRIES" smells just like Escada CHERRY IN THE AIR. The notes listed on the bottle of "SWEET LIKE CHERRIES" are: black cherry, tonka bean, and almond extract. It smells like cherry scented chap stick / lip balm with just a tiny hint of almond. The perfume can be found at stores like Winners, Marshall's, TJ Maxx. :)

I can't begin to express my love for this fragrance, and the profound sadness I feel knowing it was only available for a limited time. In 2013, I savored every drop of my bottle, using it daily until it was gone. It became my signature scent, but regrettably, I didn't replace it. Why? Because my perfume collection was large, and I moved on to the next fragrance. I regret not replacing it. I wish I had... This scent embodies everything sour cherry should be. It's tangy, and invigorating, electrifying every sense and leaving me yearning for more. After the initial zing of Cherry/raspberry, it envelops you in a delightful, creamy marshmallow embrace. As it settles, it reveals a sweet, woodsy blend of oak and sandalwood, adding depth and mystery. It's playful, sexy, and utterly irresistible. I received countless compliments whenever I wore it. It's beyond my comprehension why such a beautiful fragrance was discontinued/limited edition. I miss it terribly. If only I had bought four or five bottles... If anyone knows of a good quality dupe please message me. I’ve been searching for something similar ever since.

DIVAIN-194 I bought, since I can't find this beautiful scent anymore. It has no staying power on me, but smells delicious. So it is only to remind the beautiful cherry scent.

My first love had this perfume so my review is definitely biased. I'm not sure if im describing her or the perfume, maybe both?. Anyway, i say if you are in your late teens/young adult this is really fun. It's lively, sweet, a bit mysterious, summery, a bit seductive, and despite its sweetness it still feels quite interesting and deep. I have no idea about the general longevity, but i definitely remember smelling it all throughout the day.. It's quite strange actually, i don't like sweet scents that much but this one is absolutely intoxicating, i always kept on wanting more and more. Im kind of sad that it's been discontinued for a long time already. The only time i can still smell this is when i open a small box of cute items that she gave to me in the beginning of our relationship, she sprayed a bunch of the perfume inside of it. To this day every time i open it it feels like the time stops.

the cherry is absolutely overpowering especially with the first 2 hours of wear. I cant smell anything else in this perfume than sweet cherries. Unless you want to smell like nothing but cherry i would not buy.

fun but juvenile

Dupes: Eclat 302 RAR & Divain-194 Le femme by Armaf has a similar vibe to Cherry in the air, although it's lacking the cherry note. But I found the scent odd, so not for me. The other dupes are really good though!

Hey perfume lovers! Finally i find a dupe for this scent on divainparfums.com. I was hounting this a few years but nothing :( it will be the next on my bucketlist for sure. I also ordered a dupe for Envy me and i'm impressed by it's quality so i'll return soon :) update: i orderet the dupe a few days ago so .. i must wait for a while to arrive.. I saw some comments that the og's scent faded away so quickly.. well when I tried it the first time in a perfumery in Holland in 2013... one puff! stayed a whole day long even next day i could smell it. I cannot understand why reformulate the most of the good performing perfumes. That sucks! update 2: i tested the divain dupe today and smells really grate (almost 100% like the OG) and the performance is also very good. I recommend it with all my heart!

Comparing a close dupe for this, that I mentioned below: BBW's Winter Cherry Blossom! OG - CHERRY IN THE AIR: - lighter scent overall - the "ozonic"/woody/floral blend comes off a little bit "soapier" - disappears super fast DUPE - WINTER CHERRY BLOSSOM: - bolder/stronger scent - a little bit heavier on the fruits, but still ozonic and light - disappears quick too, but not as fast as Cherry in the Air

Sitting here drowning in my own self-pitty that I didn't stocked up tons of this back in the magical summer of 2014! This is one of the most fabled and unattainable dreamperfumes of today. Today, dear Fragranticas, I wear the last drops from my bottle and go out into the springsun and feel ... wonderfully smelling, but still…this self-pitty feeling lingers of this loss in my perfume collection. Escada, WHY did you discontinue this masterpiece? Instead you gave us ”Cherry in Japan” to try to make up for all those years without Cherry in the air?! Did you loose your secret paper with handwritten Cherry-in-the-air-formula on it…?

To me this is just: - soft maraschino cherry - light white floral - ozonic notes (I guess that's the suede, oak, musk, etc. coming through) Comes across as a "fruity" cherry blossom. Dry-down was mostly suede, oak, and musk notes, with a hint of the cherry and white floral in the background. Fresh/clean, but I wasn't "wowed" by it. It also faded very quickly, into almost nothing, within 20 minutes. People hyped this up so much, and it's impossible to find for a good price. While it's a decent cherry frag, I sincerely believe so much of the reviews come from fond memories/nostalgia tied to it (as with most Escada frags). It honestly smelled like something I could find at BBW (not like Japanese Cherry Blossom, but like their cherry blossom flankers - White Cherry Blossom, Blushing Cherry Blossom, etc). If you enjoy this but would love a more "amped up" comparable scent, you might like BBW's Winter Cherry Blossom.

If anyone in the USA wants to get rid of theirs for a REASONABLE price, I'd love to buy it from you!

I remember paying only $79.99 for the big bottle back around 2018-2019ish. It's the only Escada I've ever liked. Now they have it over $200 lol. Crazy... It's a beautiful cherry. It is one of those perfumes where I feel you can detect most* of the notes so it's pretty well done. Love the cherry, suede, gardenia, vanilla, oak in it most! I miss it want to get it again but those prices are crazy.

I did not expect to like this as much as I did. It's just such a HAPPY fragrance! It's fruity and sweet without being too juvenile. It has a fun, cheerful, lighthearted vibe to it that is so rare to find portrayed in perfumes nowadays. It smells like a happy childhood (lol). At the same time, it's not extremely unique and if you're used to fruity berry perfumes and are looking for the one berry perfume to rule them all this might not hit that note. It's also not suuper long lasting. However I find it lovely and fresh and I think it's perfect for spring. I wish Escada brought it back!

There is nothing special about this. I do not get anything but that typical Escada dna sweet, thin cheap fruity bodyspray smelling product. This could be any of their other summer sprays. I do not smell any of the richer notes listed. I always get my hopes up when reading the scent composition but I can never smell anything but that terrible cheap screetchy fruity smell.

Cherries with marshmallows, oh my! So delicious and mood-lifting; a really pleasant perfume. I predominantly get cherries, marshmallows, and a hint of raspberry, and I smell sugar even though it isn't mentioned in the notes. This is perfect for all seasons; it's sweet and warm in the fall/winter and bright and zingy in the spring/summer. I believe it is also entirely safe for work; it is not overbearing in any manner. On me, sillage is mild to gentle, and duration is moderate. A magical, whimsical perfume!

My fave perfume ever. The perfect cherry scent- its light, sweet, fresh and flirty. I love everything about it but its discontinued :( got my last bottle in 2016 and its all dried up. Been trying to look for a similar scent but nothing comes close.
