Taj Sunset

I had a bottle of this years ago and it is one I wish Escada would bring back! Absolutely loved this one. Smelled like warm summer days, very fruity but had a little sweetness to it. It was heavenly! Escada, please bring this back! Edit: Just snagged a bottle from FragranceNet!! We are back baby! Definitely snagging a few back ups while I can.

My favorite!! My mom has been using this since it came out, and when i smelled it on her, i started using it aswell. I still use and repurchase this perfume. ive tried other ones but no one is as good as this one. smells like summer vacation in spain. its absolutely my favorite and i just repurchased it yesterday. I definitely reccomend. mid 2000s vibes

Very sweet, candy or gummy-like tropical scent. That's about it. Basic but lovely!

I like it!! I smell like a fruity summer fairy. It doesn't last that long but when I spritz some on me it makes me wanna chomp down, it's giving mango, a bit of apple and grapes kinda. Is it basic? Yes, but I still enjoy it A LOT. One of my first fragrances I own but I love the fruityness of it.

This smells like a pineapple with soooooo much sugar on it. I hate it. It's too sweet, too simple. I love pineapples but this is too sweet . Maybe like pineapples canned in sugar, turned into a drink. Yuck. Can never I tried to give it so many chances this review is after 11 months of owning it When a perfume is powdery and sweet, the dryness of the powder balances out the dampness of the sweetness.. i have learned to absolutely fall head over heels in love with powdery and very sweet perfumes like "noble blush badee al oud" or "moonlight ariana grande." I used to think they are too sweet now I love them and they are a cozy bedtime scent according to me. but a watery fresh perfume cannot be THAT sweet.. not if I am gonna wanna wear it or be around it... Same thing in life, I tolerate a sweet cake better than an overly sweet drink with the same amount of sugar and mass. Because the liquid quality makes whats sweet even sweeter. We taste shapes and textures and it seems this is true also for the sense of smell. I love the initial spray but then I just wanna throw up every time I smell it because it gets sweeter and sweeter

Taj Sunset starts off with a blast of Candied mango, which segues into a cross between Britneys Midnight Fantasy and some other fragrance I've worn which could be something from Escada, Juicy Couture, Victorias Secret or another celebuscent from the early 2000s to late 2010s. It's tropical, lightly sweet with a hint of sandalwood and musk. It's a lovely summer time scent and it's great for fun carefree days at home and out. Lasts around 6 hours with a close proximity scent bubble, (which is perfect for a scent like this, as it is not intrusive). 8.5/10

I am a huge fan of Escada limited summer scents that they are all I wear. This is hands down one of my favourites!!! I would say it smells predominantly of mango with sweet citrus undertones, it's absolutely refreshing, pretty and delicious!!! I highly recommend for anyone who loves sweet and fruity, it's addictive.

I only smell licorice🙈

NOT citrusy if you're scared! Smells like summer happiness while you drink out of a coconut.

It smells just like a mango

Easy to wear without being boring becouse there is some deep softness from coconut and sweetness of ripe fruits that gives it special touch. Does not smell too parfumey which i like. This really paint picture in mind of warm summer evening on beach while sun is setting in horizon.

A blind buy that I really like! Just straight up juicy mango. A happy, simple vacation fragrance. It has that fruit schampo/showergel vibe like all the scents from Escada and I actually like that, it makes it feel fresh and clean and not too sweet. It's amazing together with Ouai st barts 🥥🥭🍍

I smell mainly mango and orange, it is very juicy and sweet. I like it a lot. A really good summer perfume

Mango in a bottle for sure! I do want a mango scent, and this is sweet in a fresh way, meaning i guess that this will suit well to wear on really hot days ( not tried in warm weather though ). I dont really get much more from it than mango, and thats ok for its use :) however, it is super weak. You will need to reapply often. Might react different in heat though, but I tried bali paradise on one arm, and this on the other, and the bali one was much stronger! This is sweeter and weaker, bali is greener and fresher.

This is my all-time favorite scent, and I’m super excited to see people saying it’s made a comeback! I actually joined this website looking for potential dupes or similar fragrances after this was discontinued.

I just tried my old 2011 bottle with a splash of Kayali Vanilla 28 after taking a peach and papaya shower, and I really love the combination. This IS sweet, so you have to have a sugar tooth for it, but the slight sourness brings it together. This combination made me feel instantly a bit more uplifted. 💛🧡

I had a version of Composition of this perfume not the original bottle but, very beautiful fruity tropical sweet perfume even in Composition. This perfume will be more suitable in summer or during the day. It lasts 6-8 hours on the leather and one day on the clothes. كان لدي نسخة تركيب من هذا العطر، وليس الزجاجة الأصلية، ولكنه عطر حلو استوائي فاكهي جميل جدًا حتى في عطور التركيب. سيكون هذا العطر مناسبًا أكثر في الصيف أو أثناء النهار. يدوم من 6 إلى 8 ساعات على الجلد ويوم واحد على الملابس.

Loved it at first but then the more i wore it, it MADE ME SO INSANELY NAUSEOUS :'( Very strong and synthetic mango...

A really beautiful Tropical, sweet, bright, juicy, sunny, happy, playful, slightly tart, and a somewhat beachy fruity floral. A tropical getaway in a bottle! What a really lovely fragrance! The opening is very tropical, sweet, fruity, bright, juicy, and a little bit tart too. I really pick up on the mango, nectarine, blood orange, and raspberry notes. The dry down is really beautiful because I still get the mango, nectarine, and raspberry, but the coconut and sandalwood notes become more prominent and I also catch whiffs of the aquatic and fresh water Lily! So, All of this gives the fragrance somewhat of a beachy feel too which I really love! After about an hour the musk becomes a little more prominent grounding the sweetness of the fragrance a little bit. It still has a lovely sweetness throughout the entire wear which I really enjoy. This is such a great summertime and vacation scent! I do get good performance with Taj Sunset. The scent lasts throughout the majority of the day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. I keep getting reminded of another fragrance when wearing Taj Sunset, but I can’t quite put my finger on which one it is. I know that I’m somewhat reminded of Flowerbomb Tiger Lily mainly because of the tropical mango and coconut notes. I’m also getting a little bit of a Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet vibe because of the raspberry note and the sweetness of both fragrances. I’m even somewhat reminded of Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance because I find it extremely similar to Daisy Love Eau So Sweet due to both of the fragrances being so beautifully sweet and having similar raspberry notes. I wouldn’t consider any of these fragrances dupes for Taj Sunset, or even really all that similar to it. However, I do still feel a similar vibe with them. Even so, They still might be fragrances that you would enjoy if you’re a fan of Taj Sunset!

I love this scent but the longevity is really bad, it barely lasts 2 hours for me. I also can't smell any of the coconut in the base notes, I just get sugary wood. Still a gorgeous summer scent!!

I'm addicted to mango as well as peaches, and am slowly getting my hands on every one in the market. This one is really good in a sea of disappointments. A vacation in a bottle, great for spring/summer, or when you are feeling "fruity." I get lots of mango, peach (even though it's not a note), raspberry here and there, with a creamy coconut base appearing for cameos. It's sweet, but not overly so, balanced by the tartness of some citruses and the mellow basenotes of water lily (turning her ever so slightly aquatic), sandalwood and musk, softening her and making the dry down really beautiful. She layers beautifully with Creed virgin island water if you want to transform her into a mango margarita, or Narcisco pure musk, if you want to highlight her softer more woody side but sugar it up a bit. Does she last? No. On me, 2-3 hours, which isn't great, but it's pretty standard for her price point and competitors. I got a tester (probably the newer version, but who knows) for $24.99 at a perfume discounter (joma), so I'm not mad at respraying a few times a day. Ok, yeah, I'm slightly annoyed though. Aphrodite currently occupied my top mango pick, as she has a lot better longevity.

This is fruity sexy exotic tropical wonderland. It’s youthful but not childish. It’s relatively sweet but the tangy, almost-sour fruit and aquatic florals balance it all out. The coconut is subtle so it doesn’t overpower or cheapen it. Some might find the fruits too strong, sharp, and sour but I love it and I feel like you kind of need that to cut through summer heat. It reminds me a lot of BBW’s Pretty as a Peach (~90% similar). Dua has a great dupe called Crown Twilight that has way better performance.

The older version is much better. The new lasts a minute tops. The older is still your typical summer escada, but thats way better than the new. The scent is very similar, super juicy sweet and fruity. Its not complicated, not grown up but its pleasant and i love it.

Sunset 🌅 at the tropics. This is a beautiful, sweet, warm, summer fragrance that would suit more the evenings and nights than the sweltering hot 🥵 mornings IMHO. The mango 🥭 is sweet and smooth, despite a tad synthetic, but most mango perfume notes tend to be, and this is much better than most. The sweetness is balanced by the zestiness from the oranges 🍊. I don’t get much of the heart notes but I can sense a clean white musk, a hint of coconut 🥥 and some smooth woods in the base. The color of the bottle and the “sunset” 🌆 in the name are spot on. However the nod to India 🇮🇳 (Taj and paisley pattern) I couldn’t relate. Mangoes and coconut are all over the tropics. Actually this could read Brazil 🇧🇷 or Carribean more. And sandalwood is too ubiquitous in perfume to register as India. Some spice would have been welcome and wouldn’t be overbearing in a small dose especially that the composition is already warm and targeted for after sunset. Anyway it’s lovely but would have loved the staying power to be more at that price point.

One of my favorite perfumes. It was love at first sniff. Very fruity and delicious smelling, but creamy at the same time, so it doesn't smell synthetic. I just wish it lasted more on my skin.

I love Escada - it's one of my favorite perfume lines. Some of their fragrances have no equal or comparison, however "simple" they may be. But Taj Sunset is not one of those - it's a pass for me. It smells nice (you get the sweet mango and fruity notes), but there's a bit of "tanginess"/sharpness to the mango note that makes the mango smell like it's becoming too ripe. Some BBW mists that give a similar vibe to Taj Sunset, but are much more vibrant, fruity, and deliciously tropical: - Tiki Bay Island Margarita - Golden Mango Lagoon - Fiji Guavatini

Yummy mango. Smells very nice and fruity and sweet without being the boring kind of fruity and sweet. But as Escadas tend to go, doesn't last long and isn't particularly strong. Great summer scent. Just keep the bottle on you to reapply.

That was my signature scent for years. The opening is quite sweet and fruity, and then it settles as light, pleasant musky fruity floral with a hint of the coconut. I get mostly the raspberry and a tiny bit of the water lily. I've received numerous compliments, so it's safe to say this one is a crowd-pleaser. Very inoffensive, comforting and easy to wear fruity-floral scent. Very light and pleasant, to me it's not suitable only for the warmer seasons, despite the notes. Maybe because it develops quite musky and ever so slightly powdery on me. Longevity is very good - pretty much all day. Projection is moderate.
