best molecule i've smelled, a gorgeous skin scent, very blink and you miss it, chemical/metallic but stil very sexo. i remember having a tester for this, wearing it out and drooling over how good i thought a guy i was seeing at the time smelled, only to find out it was me all along. really makes you think.

This perfume is a reminder that the sweetest things in life reveal themselves only through patience.

Molecule 02, by Escentric Molecules, smells like amber, vanilla, Arabic sweets, Arabic frankincense that you burn to scent a room and a bit of body odor. This is the general vibe, the smell is nice, but know that it is barely there. I personally do not need warmth for layering in my collection, so I will not reach for this perfume, but it is a nice idea for others.

If your favorite fragrances disappear too quickly, Molecule 02 may be the answer. Molecule 02 (Ambroxan): A longevity anchor that smells like warm, salty skin and acts like glue, making your perfume last hours longer. Molecule 01 (Iso E Super): A projection booster that creates an airy, hovering cloud of subtle cedarwood around you, making your perfume radiate further.

Can't rate it, because it looks like I'm insensitive to ambroxan. Once the alcohol evaporated, I was left with an oily film on my forearm that smelled like nothing at all! My wife immediately found the scent absolutely vile, which explains why so many fragrances elicit very different reactions from us.

I wanted to make this myself and bought some 96% ethanol and ambroxide (symrise). I could have just bought a bottle, but this is way more fun. Apparently, according to some forum posts, an analysis was done on Molecule 02 and it contained 3,75% ambroxan by weight, so that was my starting point. So 4 grams of ethanol (which is 5mL, so my decant-bottle was already quite full) and about 0,195 grams of ambroxide. After shaking about 5 minutes, the ambroxan powder was dissolved. While working with it, I already smelled a faint laundry smell. With 3 sprays I get this subsonic, laundry-like, but also woody and a bit metallic smell. I recognise it immediately from modern freshies. I can't tell you how close this is to Molecule 02, since I didn't try it yet, but I just wanted to share this with you. Once I've tried the "real" thing, I will update my review. Btw after I layered this with Acqua di Gio EdT it smells like one of its newer flankers.

I love this smell. Slightly more than M01. I prefer it to JHAG. I had a travel size of JHAG and liked it originally until towards the end of the bottle it started giving me headaches. M02 is softer and sweeter to my nose. JHAG is a bit muskier. I get none of the negative impressions others have, nor the notion of it leaning slightly masculine. Statements about the price are valid. It’s literally just Ambroxan.

for the brief 15 or so minutes when there was actually a detectible smell I just kept getting hit with that scent… you know that scent… that seems to be in every single generic product marketed towards men. Unsure why this is considered a “your skin but better” scent because to me it smells quite artificial and astringent…. more like your skin after wiping it down with rubbing alcohol. from other reviews it sounds like it’s meant for layering, and perhaps i'm ignorant but that seems LAZY edit: boyfriend came home and said "i smelled really good" fml i know nothing

Reading the comments, I fell like most people are not using this as intended. Yes, you CAN wear this on its own. Is that the best use? Probably not. If you are new to layering, you just found a great place to start. Just add this as a base to any fragrance you feel could use and ambery boost. It will add longevity, and make your scent more unique. Same with all the other molecules. I recommend the travel set, you can try lots of different combinations.

Overpriced Fresh Musk! I sprayed this on skin, didn't smell a single thing! Until about 30 mins later. It smelled like Fresh Musk, it's a good smell, mature and very sophisticated but it's not unique at all! There are many musky perfumes and oils that smells exactly the same for fraction of the price.

Finally tried it, my favourite perfume of all time is Molecule 01 so I had to finally try this after so long. This is nothing compared to M01, like others have said, it almost smells like a very faint men deodorant and it smells like a man, like a certain specific man. I don’t know how to describe it but so far I’m not liking it

I’m floored by all the hate this gets in these reviews. I think this fragrance is god tier. It’s equally cool, pretty, and sexy and that’s the best way I can describe it. It’s a compliment magnet for me, never do I get so many compliments on fragrance as when I wear this one. Yes, it requires more than 2 sprays, but it tends to last all day on me.

its smells like if you plucked out the one thing that makes all deodorants similar, smells like an older brother in 2007, halo 3 just came out and he has all the promotional drinks and doritos, the reminants of deodorant lingers as the only palatable smell in his room, this is the source

smells like shaving cream

Among all molecules I smell this the least. I can do 20 sprays and feel nothing after. Sometimes there is a hint of fresh cut pine tree, but only for a moment. I can only hope that people around that are sensitive to this molecule will not die from fragrant attack because of me

Old Amber/Aerodactyl smell in bottle. I saw the cinnabar-colored box this fragrance came in, sprayed, and sniffed... I was way impressed! This may be better Molecule 01, which I love to begin with! It doesn't have the same radiating sillage that M01 does, but the Ambroxan is just so pleasant. Sort of what I'd imagine pheromones would smell like.

I could not smell this at all until about 30 minutes after spraying while Molecule 01, I could detect right away. I tried it in the evening and it was still slightly dectable the next morning. M02 on my skin is slightly musky with a hint of something sweet. I would buy it at a more reasonable price, or on sale, just for the purpose of layering.

Extremely clean musk with a very slight tasteful amber. Not soap clean but the first thought that came to mind was a clean retail store? Very basic and boring scent.

I was not expecting to dislike this as much as I do. It's sharp to my nose. It's animalic and slightly metallic. It reminds me a lot of the smell of sweat. There's a faint saltiness to it. It's the lingering smell in a gym after the equipment has been wiped down.

The people telling you it projects and lasts had to be having a nose like a bloodhound. If you’d mix any hand sanitizer with water and splashed onto your skin then let it dry idk I think it’ll project more than this fragrance. This smells like a literal nothing to me. More a fan of molecule 01.

Definitely more ambery (than Molecule 01), but also kind of soapy and cigarette smokey. It smells clean and warm but somehow also of cigarettes at the same time (which is not a good thing, at least for me). It's like the more masculine version of Not A Perfume by JHAG. Okay, I know I said that about the last one, but this one is literally just straight up ambroxan. I still think Molecule 01 smells closer to it, IDK how. Edit: Okay, the cigarette smell goes away after a while and then it just turns into laundry detergent and faintly reminds me of a childhood friend's home. It's nice, but just not for me.

Always associate me with a flower that grew on Danube's bank when I was a kid. I adored it. This perfume is very linear, but I love it and wear it anytime. I can smell it all the time, unlike Molecule 01, which comes in waves, and I don't like much (it's obviously used in Kirke, which I can't stand). I rebought it twice, and I'm still baffled with price. It's purely chemical, and nothing new in perfume industry. So why the price? And, on some people it smells like sweat, probably due to skin chemistry

Slightly sweet salty skin like scent . Can smell this. No issues

People say Ambroxan is headache inducing, overpowering/overbearing yadda yadda. I always see Dior - Sauvage copping a beating about it constantly and I feel like the majority of people just go along with whatever the majority are saying. Ambroxan couldn’t be further from those descriptions people use about being too strong. It’s become this weird scapegoat when in reality it’s every other fragrance note in respective compositions that people are having their aversions to. Ambroxan is smooth, ethereal and a your skin but better type of scent. Some people can’t even smell it, period! So the next time you think you don’t like Ambroxan maybe give this a try and see if you can even smell it!

Great minimalistic scent. Minimalistic in that it’s not in your face and has staying power close to the skin. Not a light cheapie that’s gonna need reapplied throughout the day multiple times. If you have to be outside and not lounging around this hugs you like a nice soft blanket all day. A very pleasant fragrance almost worth the cost.
