Idk first impression is that it kinda smells like an 18-yo from 2015 who votes economically liberal. Was hoping for more dill pickle after reading the reviews. Only bought a discovery thing tho. Might test it for a day, see how it might develop over a few hours, might update.
Smells alot like kenzo homme
it’s a walk by the city river, the citrus and floral scents of summer wafting by. there’s an underlying smell of dill that tells you the river might not be the cleanest, but it is unobtrusive to my nose. after 5-6 hours it fades into a faintly sweet musk skin scent. i'm quite impressed with the longevity; it lasted 8 hours, and the projection is just right: not too loud yet not unnoticeable. i think this is quite a unique aquatic scent, it's neither ocean nor fresh, pure water, almost kind of muted? like the water is stagnant at places. i think it's probably due to the dill/pickle notes that my mind makes that association. but i don't dislike it! i find it kind of realistic and makes it stand out from other blue/aquatic scents.
Sadly, all I get from this is dill and pickles. It overwhelms all the rest. It is not disgusting or anything - it is fresh and makes me crave for some cucumbers - but honestly, who wants to smell like dill and pickles? 0/5.
I first discovered this fragrance in the ELdO discovery kit. From first smell, there was something extremely nostalgic about this perfume. It perfectly captures the essence of strolling under a bridge in Paris during the summertime. Sous le pont Mirabeau (SLPM) strikes divine harmony between green, aquatic, spicy, and being unapologetically French all at the same time. The aquatic notes in SLPM are not suggestive of salty ocean spray but instead convey the feeling of fresh water rushing through an urban stream. Notes of dill weed, orcanox, precious resins, musks, and cedar bolster this watery accord. Of particular note is the sweetness of Elemi in this fragrance, which completely transforms the olfactory experience, especially as the scent evolves on skin. I found it to have a great longevity on my skin (6-10h). My partner thinks that it smells a lot like tzatziki/pickles but I thankfully don't pick up on these notes as much. Other people have mentioned this as well, so clearly a collective experience for some folks. More masculine leaning but perfectly unisex.
When I smelled it, I was like, "Wow!, this is so unique," but I quickly realized that I had smelled something very close to it. It's almost a 1 to 1 with the limited-edition Kenzo Glacée; both are great, very ozonic and mossy. I also see the resemblance to Kenzo Homme EDT, but as I said, it's so close to Glacée.
This is defiantly a scent that you need to try on your skin. On me it smells green but warm and slightly powdery and milky. I get a lot of fig and musc. It’s salty - but more like warm skin than cold sea water. Just the kind of salty I love. The sandalwood adds depth and warmth. I get absolutely non of the cucumber, dill or pickles that others are mentioning. My 7-year old daughter that rarely comments on my perfume told me I smelled really good and took an extra sniff when she gave me a hug.
A kinda pickle-y sandalwood, creamy fig, salt, and marine musks. Not amazing , but I kinda like it? I wish it were fresher and saltier or more citrusy. Does not smell like a generic aquatic cologne imo
Nothing particularly exciting - it's perfectly pleasant. Similar to a lot of other scents but more timid. It lasts a while but quickly becomes a skin scent. French Riviera with less floral. Every Storm A Serenade with less calone. Just ok for me.
I just wish this was a little bit more stank, maybe ambergris or algae, idk
Lol wut This is just aqua di gio
High-quality marine, but too "cold" for my taste. Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is one of those fragrances where skin testing is absolutely mandatory. My initial test on paper was misleading—it pulled strongly like fresh cucumber—but on skin, it transforms into a much more complex, airy marine scent. The citrus here feels green and zesty rather than bright or yellow, and it definitely shares some DNA with Megamare, though it’s significantly lighter and less musky. However, after spending a full day with it, I realized that this profile just isn't for me. It’s a well-executed marine scent, but it leans into that "cold ocean crashing against wet rocks" DNA that I’ve realized I don't enjoy wearing. I much prefer marine fragrances that offer a sense of warmth and sun-drenched salt—like Xerjoff 40 Knots—rather than these cold, stark oceanic profiles. It’s a nice blend, but it didn't earn a spot as a full bottle in my collection. Note: I don't actually own this fragrance; I am writing this review based on my experience with the official Etat Libre d'Orange discovery set.
Someone said generic blue masculine scent and they were right
Really strong, salty, musky base tones, with a noted dill highlight. The marine/aquatic aspect is there, but there's a lot of musk to my nose and it's just not balanced well!
the bergamot is overpowering to me. i was hoping for some more realism from the marine notes but it translates like a generic, blue, masculine scent to me. still, it’s pleasantly and lightly peppery and i enjoy the fig note. just not for me
A friend tested this and at one of the stages on her skin it smelled exactly like I'd just gotten warm cotton or linen out of my dryer. Not the fake, overpowering laundry detergent scent but the real deal. Update: Tried it out myself and it just sticks to the green and ozonic notes. It approached that real warm laundry scent but never quite got there.
I like the smell, it's not as brisk as a lot of aquatic/marine scents. The only problem is that it had almost no projection and lasted less than 2 hours on my skin. It is a very pleasant and smooth fragrance while it lasts, though.
It’s a warm night. You’re sitting in patch of dill within a fig grove on the Mediterranean coast. A brisk gust of salty sea air whips through the cypress trees on its way to your nose.
I want to be able to wear this but every time I try it gives me a headache! Soooo disappointing because it is rare for me to like an aquatic scent.
Sigh.... This just smells like a jalapeno and cucumber salad to me. Then turns into straight pickle juice. And I don't normally get pickle from scents with sandalwood. Sucks because I really thought I'd like this based off of the notes. Glad I sampled first.
Dries down into a sandalwood bomb. First thing I got was very green, tart and slightly fruity - I'm assuming thats the fig note. It reminds me a bit of clue's the point in its aquatic qualities but a bit more agressive and woody instead of the subtler tea direction. Still rather pretty and very fresh. I could see myself wearing this out to the gym or the beach during the warmer seasons.
Smells like you're at the beach letting the sun dry down the salt water on your skin. The salt of the sea mixes with the salt of your sweat. To cool off a little more, you grab a big drink of your gin and tonic garnished with lots of cucumber. It certainly leans masculine, I'm not sure if I can pull it off as a typical unisex/slightly femme fragrance wearer. In any case, it's very charming and worth trying if the notes appeal to you.
despite it's "marine" profile it's barely noticeable and smells more green than anything. if you're looking for something truly aquatic + salty i wouldn't say this is it.
Is something happening under this Mirabeau Bridge? Those who appreciate the fragrance will truly love it. Its marine character is quite subtle, its heart is refined and delicate, and its discretion is a real asset. However, I can't see it as anything other than a men's shower gel (on an ELDO base) abandoned in a gym locker room. So far, it's the least inspired fragrance I've found from the brand. It reminds me of Kenzo men's fragrances, which I find repulsive. Personally, I find the salty aspect of this type of product cumbersome and unsettling. The positive aspect is that it layers well. I tried layering Sous le Pont Mirabeau and Let's Pretend at the end of the day, and they create a beautiful accord. For an aquatic shower gel vibe, I'm not ashamed to say that I much prefer Britney Spears' Jungle Fantasy; at least it has some color and life in its heart. The perfect gift for the leaving party of a colleague you don't really know and don't really like. And if, unfortunately, you're that colleague and you absolutely don't like this fragrance, have fun experimenting with layering; you might just have a great tool for it in your hands!
This is a very clean marine scent , it is very straight forward with how it smells. It is a simple marine fragrance done very well.
It's like womanity but more wearable. Tbh I don't like it very much it's a bit boring for me.
A beautiful, light aquatic. I could imagine this being a very wearable summer scent. I appreciate that it leans fresh and slightly green rather than sweet or citrusy (atleast on my skin). Wish it had slightly better longevity and sillage.
Aquatic fig-sandalwood. Very Intriguing and unique, but has weak sillage and longitivity. Loved this one but i already own a good sandalwood so maybe next time. Edit: got a bottle anyways cause I can't get it off my mind.
Despite the cucumber top notes, the dry down on this is beautiful. Subtle, pear-like sweetness that really pulls you in. My fiancee bought this for me at the boutique in Paris. It will always evoke memories of our time there together. Underrated! Test it out for yourself this one’s a sleeper.
This is so fantastic. Actual water-fresh, ozonic, relaxing. The sandalwood is so lovely and feels very well balanced to maintain the overall mostly-aquatic vibe. Something addictive to it that makes me want to keep smelling my skin, maybe the violet. For me and my tastes this leans perfectly unisex which I love. This is one of the samples in their main discovery set and I think I may need a full size bottle some time in the future.
