This frangance is definitely not what I was expecting. It’s good for 15 mins. First, to my nose , is definitely masculine. The opening is honestly amazing, fresh citrus but in an elegant effortless way, not like lemon cleaner or anything like that. The fruit the pear the bergamot are perfectly balanced and the smell is so inviting and pleasant but the dry down changes everything. All the citrus and fresh notes disappear rather quickly and you get a prominent linear woody scent. That’s all I get, just wood, nice smelling wood but that’s the whole perfume. The beauty of the opening and mid notes disappear , I would gladly pay for the opening but for the dry down alone, imo, there’s no way . Projects a lot , my whole room smells like wood the whole day and on clothes, last until the next day. If you like woody fragrances, you might like this one . It’s versatile , can use it day and night

میوه‌ای و شیرین، اصلا سلیقه‌ی من نیست. بوی شیرینی بیش از حد گلابی رو می‌ده.

This edp version is way better than the extrait imo. Extrait is just too harsh and synthetic. EDP feels just right.

This is easily one of the best fresh fragrances of all time to my nose. Its got that pear, some citrus, some musk and woods to finish it out at the end. Quite addictive and one that I often reach for more than anything else. I love this, its easily a 10/10 for me. Price point is pretty steep to justify buying multiple bottles so just keep that in mind.

It smells fresh and fruity, like tropical fruits. As it dries down, it becomes more musky and clean, and the fruity notes become less intense and ginger shows. It smells nice, like a fresh juice at spa, but I'm not sure I'd pay $265 for this scent. I think I could find something very similar for a fraction of the price.

The user Gardinette said all what needs to be said and also kind of reminds me of mancera instant crush or erba pura but they are less boring

the edp is much better than extrait, the extrait was too concentrated with vanilla and orange blossom, the edp is much more well-balanced and wearable. the edp smells like a blue freshie, but with a lot of character. the pear note is very prominent and front and center. i'm also getting orange blossom and some woods. i don't know what a talisman smells like, but i can definitely see it smelling this. i would say that the perfumer did a good job bringing the fictional scent of a talisman to the wearer. i wouldn't necessarily say this is my favorite freshie ever, but i do find this interesting and much more unqiue in the category. i would say that i prefer sedley over this, but it is still nice. i wouldn't blind-buy this, would definitely recommend sampling beforehand. edit: dries down very nice, scent becomes very subtle and just great, the sillage seems beautiful. i would want to see ex nihilo perhaps creating flankers to this, like orange talisman with an orange-based scent and even green talisman with maybe lime, i would definitely buy that.

Amazing everyday signature scent, very easy to wear honestly and quite unique. Definitely blind buy safe would recommend, although a bit pricey. Would love to try the extrait!

Honestly just get erba pura instead of this

This is the best and most unique smelling summer fragrance right now on the market! the blend and the overall composition is luxurious and super high quality. If you appreciate high end perfumery, go for it, this is love at first spray! Congratulations and a big thank you to Jordi Fernández!

Probably the best smelling fragrance I've smelled in a long time, it's just perfection.

7.4/10 The opening is very interesting, very fresh, almost has an air freshener quality to it. You can definitely smell the quality in this, the ginger and the pear really pop. After a while there's a sweet candy quality that comes out. I like it, but it's a little too airy for my taste.

Blue Talisman is a perfume that initially promises lightness, luminosity and contemporary elegance. The opening is undeniably attractive - juicy pear, sparkling bergamot and mandarin create a bright, almost crystalline freshness, while ginger adds a pleasant energetic lift. For a brief moment, the composition suggests sophistication rather than excess. Unfortunately, that illusion does not last. As the composition develops, it seems that Ambrofix and Akigalawood as well as smth else very synthetic, gradually take control of the composition. Both are modern aroma molecules with undeniable technical value in perfumery - they provide diffusion, longevity and a polished woody-amber structure. However, in Blue Talisman they are not supporting actors - they become the protagonists. Individually these materials are fascinating. Together, here, they overwhelm the perfume’s more delicate architecture. The luminous fruits and citrus notes slowly disappear beneath a dense synthetic woody veil. Instead of allowing the pear and bergamot to evolve naturally, the composition seems to flatten into a familiar cloud of modern woody ambers. A direction that has become almost ubiquitous in contemporary luxury perfumery. When powerful performance materials dominate the composition to this extent, they cease to support the artistic vision and begin to replace it. Blue Talisman ultimately smells less like an evolving perfume and more like a demonstration of contemporary captive ingredients engineered for projection and persistence. The perfume becomes increasingly artificial as it dries down, sacrificing nuance for impact. I felt that I want to wash it off. And even after that, the synthetics lingered for hours. Should luxury mean louder projection, stronger longevity and larger molecular footprints? Or should it mean balance, refinement and restraint? Blue Talisman chooses technical performance over emotional depth. It feels designed to impress from across the room rather than reward the person wearing it. Considering its premium price point, I expected far greater compositional sophistication. Instead, I found a perfume whose formula relies too heavily on fashionable woody-amber molecules that can be found through and through today’s commercial luxury market. The result is a perfume whose price and artistic quality feel disconnected. Nice at first encounter, but increasingly synthetic with every passing hour… For a house positioned in the luxury segment, I expected far more originality and far more restraint. It seems that luxury perfumery is becoming less about creating memorable olfactory landscapes and more about engineering maximum performance.

Swear down Afnan Turathi Electric has to be the closest thing to a 1:1 dupe I've owned and tested extensively. However, this OG lasts longer. Easy reach, any time of year during the day. Females do tend to compliment this scent on me more than gentleman, I also work in a hospital with majority of my peers being female. IT"S MY REVIEW LEAVE ME ALONE. I love this fragrance and will probably own a bottle no matter what.

Blue Talisman is mind numbingly boring, the illegitimate child of early 2000s Cacharel and Calvin Klein. An era I personally try to escape from and bury by any possible means. Too sweet, too musky, too woody... It's juvenile, stagnant, and completely directionless. I naively assumed nobody would pay it any attention because it's such a poor composition, but I underestimated just how easily today's consumers can be influenced. Overly fruity and severely synthetic, masquerading as a perfume, engineered to appeal to the widest possible audience. A fragrance devoid of taste or complexity, pumped full of Ambroxan and Akigalawood, with no noble or natural raw materials to speak of, just the unmistakable stench of artificial aroma chemicals. It probably costs 7€ to create in the lab, but it's being sold at $300. The kind of perfume that gives the middle finger to Bianchi, Fusciuni, Tauer, Pierre Guillaume, and all those genuinely artistic perfume houses that never get mentioned by the TikTok "fragrance collector" crowd hanging around like they're experts. Blue Talisman is the most popular kid in middle school. A bit dim, badly brought up, barely literate. It's the perfume equivalent of a Wattpad girl's attempt at poetry, mediocre at best... at least for those of us who grew up reading Goethe, Baudelaire, and Victor Hugo. It's the "Live, Love, Laugh" of perfumery. Sold out because influencers and content creators keep talking about it like it's the second coming of the Messiah. To everyone who bought it (which is roughly half USA by now, I'm willing to bet Baccarat Rouge are sitting on the same shelf at home), I'd like to give you a friendly pat on the back and reassure you: Taste is subjective, as they say. 3/10 No hard feelings.

this scent reminds me of blue jeans. sweet pear and citrus accords over a complex but warm and soft woody base very nice

Completely feminine

how on earth can someone not like this? its like the perfect versatile fragrance and you can't offend anyone with this smell. Of course it doesn't deserve its price like any other niche fragrance but it doesn't change the fact that the smell is amazing for everyone. It does its job, gets you lots of compliments and it does it without having that "masculine" type sharp smell. It is a clean, fruity and fresh smell with good longevity and it forms a nice scent bubble around you. but it's totally unnecessary to spend hundreds of dollars for just a fragrance, there are couple alternatives and they are just as good. if you think you have to spend this much, i would recommend the smell.

Bought this for my husband but it got on my fingers and now I kinda want it for me. I will sample it on my skin at home. I guess this is perfectly unisex.

I'm a bit on the newer end of the spectrum for perfumes and I probably didn't truly know whe difference between normal and beast mode. I typically don't consider myself to be bothered by strong scent. That said, I think I have found a new barometer. One spray of this on a paper strip fills an entire very large room. when I sprayed it on my hand, it was so intensely strong that I had to scrub it... To accomplish full removal it took three washes with dish soap, a soak and rub with olive oil, and two passes with hand sanitizer and a further scrub with a loofah. All that to say, this to me is incredibly projecting, incredibly strong and incredibly long lasting. If you don't smell it on you, I fear you're anosmic. If you're prone to headaches, this is likely one to skip. From a scent alone perspective, I find this to be nice and elegant, though over-hyped by influencers. It's not that earth shattering. The pear is really refreshing, the ginger tangy. It's a modern take on a classic blue fragrance, masculine leaning but could be unisex. On my personal skin chemistry, however, it didn't work. I certainly got a juicy pear in the opening with a tangy ginger. The citrus didn't smell so much of Mandarin as more of a rind of bergamot with some greenness. Almost more of a neroli-30 minutes in the ginger went to a powdered ginger vs fresh, the woods hyper focused to a black pepper note and overtook anything sweet and juicy. It began to smell heavily of sweet synthetic woods to me. If you're a woman looking for a similar vibe but less of a powerhouse, Juliette Has a Gun Ego Stratis might be worth checking out. They're not dupes at all but have similar fresh fruity aquatic modern blue unisex energy.

In a love hate relationship, tried it in store a minimum of 3 times and it all lasted extremely long and smelled amazing. Went in to the same store in the same week as the last time i tried it and bought a 100ml. Now this bottle barely lasts. With that said, It smells amazing like I’ve never smelled something so airy and unique in a fresh and mass appealing way. Did lotion beforehand and it increased longievety and got a compliment at a football game ( soccer for you americans) To me it opens up with that pear and citrus amazingly for about 15-30 min, then turns into this peppery slighlt floral and not candy fruity but almost pear zest fresh peary aspects, then it turns into clean fresh musks for me. Would still absolutely recommend. If you like some of Byredos fragrances I think this is right up your alley.

Reviews by people with complexes always crack me up—their ramblings are usually just plain stupid. Blue Talisman is an absolute masterpiece. No Arabic stench even comes close to it. Blue Talisman smells like a fragrance fit for a king and a queen. It smells like twilight, like a crisp chill, like the most expensive stone that is gorgeous in its own natural beauty—like a diamond warmed by human touch. It’s a fragrance that commands distance, gets tons of compliments, and is a total unisex. And honestly? I’d rather have one single fragrance for my whhholaaa life than a thousand cheap knock-offs from an Egyptian market stall.

Stop with that niche Instagram and tik tok nonsense. Even my phone has started to reek of that niche stuff. This one, too. The modern Instagram community—and all that—has really become exhausting and obnoxious. Just because you wear a niche perfume doesn't mean you're superior or smarter. You're just a nuisance. You're being offensive. Not everyone has to like every single perfume, of course, but I’ve really had enough. Even the staff in those niche perfume shops act like they’re above everyone else

I never write reviews. This fragrance inspired me to write my first one. I do not understand the hype, at all. This smells exactly like one of those citronella candles that keep mosquitos away at night. It literally smells like bug poison on my skin. I hate it. Thank you, Ex Nihilo, for finally breaking me out of my shell and turning me into the type of person who writes negative reviews to a niche audience of fragrance enthusiasts who will probably never even see this.

God this is SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. The longevity is incredible, and the way the scent evolves the longer it's on your skin. It's the kind of scent where, if I put my nose near where I sprayed it, I can't get a good sense of the scent. But when I catch whiffs of it in the air around me, it stops me in my tracks. It's so beautiful, and I'm so glad this works well on my skin. I'm obsessed. Something about the dry down reminds me of the parts I love about delina exclusif, without the overwhelming, headache inducing risk that comes with delina exclusif. I'm not sure what note is causing that similarity for me, but I want more of it on my perfume shelf.

Blue Talisman from Ex Nihilo by Jordi Fernández is a beautiful daily driver but I gotta keep this short and sweet. I love the scent profile, it's airy and diffusive and really is attention grabbing but on my skin it doesn't perform to my preferences like Blue Talisman Extrait does. Both fragrances are amazing but I need more than the edp has to offer with my skin chemistry.

Анонім

Ex Nihilo again scores with a beautiful gentle scent that doesn't have anything sharp or offensive. This is a beautiful scent. It smells juicy and delicious. I can see how it would be interpreted as unisex, I think anyone would smell good wearing this. 8/10

Objectively? BORING. Refunding because my Lattafa vintage radio has more depth, story telling and nuance, than this literal blue bar of soap.

I get a lot of bergamot in the opening, very bright and uplifting. Then the development reminds me of Delina...if you remove the rhubarb note and add a little of jasmin. It feels very feminine. Unfortunately, this is very synthetic and ambroxan was used with a heavy hand. It feels like a hammer against my nose and sinuses. How do people tolerate such doses of Ambroxan? I like the scent. It is pretty. But it feels toxic.
