Instant fresh, instant salt and aqua, and then just a fresh cold watermelon but in an almost synthetic way. Later, on paper the melon scent remains, but on skin it's subtle. I wonder how it will perform on clothes and whether it will start to cloy. I'm wary of the floral and vanilla combination. But the salty aqua? Beautiful. 6.5/10

Smells like a fruity melon starburst with raspberry, and vanilla with a grown up edge. Very beautiful and unique!

I now discovered I might not like violets… Unfortunately, I only enjoy the dry down (as it’s very similar to Bianco Latte), but apart from that, it really makes me nauseous. If someone is looking for a 10ml decant, I’m looking to sell mine.

Given the nature of the website I’m writing this on, I appreciate there are a lot of people here with a strong interest in niche fragrances. I’d put myself in that camp too, and so let me caveat the following comments by assuring the reader that I’m not devoid of appreciation for scents which require meeting half way. But seriously, come on… Maybe those with the very most sophisticated olfactory senses will find some high art in this, and marvel at its daring and uniqueness. But everyone else they come into contact with whilst wearing it will smell a smouldering electrical fire. It’s simply horrid.

This is intoxicating! Honestly, it's nearly a masterpiece... apart from the slightly rough opening. Thankfully, I can easily look past that because the rest of the fragrance journey is just beautiful. So there's a small elephant in the room, and it's definitely the lime, just like other reviews have mentioned. It can come across as a little artificial, sharp and out of place. The strange thing is, it literally only lasts a minute, and sometimes it doesn't even happen at all!? Once that's gone, the fragrance transforms. The violet blends perfectly with the sea water, creating something fresh and bright. Don't be put off by the sea notes though! This isn't salty or marine in the traditional sense. Then comes the nostalgic zingy scent of Parma Violets, you know, those lilac English sweets? They're candied, powdery and soooo pretty here. There's also a tiny hint of tart raspberry, but you really have to go looking for it. I think it's just there to balance the candied violet and stop it becoming too sugary. It's genuinely mouth watering though. The dry down is a gorgeous soft vanilla/violet combo. I find those two notes work so well together! The perfume as a whole gives me the same ethereal feeling as Xerjoff Dama Bianca (which I also love). If you enjoy that airy, dreamy style of perfume, I think you'll really love Celeste too. This is such a pretty fragrance for spring and summer. I find the violets really bloom in the heat, and the lime becomes even less noticeable. If you've ever thought vanilla wasn't suitable for warm weather, this is the perfect alternative. It's light and refreshing without losing that comforting vanilla base. It won't overwhelm you or everyone around you.

Why did I do a millisecond glance back to the Dior Fahrenheit that I bought for myself back in the what? Eighties? I haven’t smelled it for decades. I delighted in it for about a quarter of a bottle, then gave it to Dad {or, the bathroom cabinet}. I can’t believe I once did unisex. {Dad loved perfume, I figure I got my nose from him.} {Although I dislike the aftershave note on myself.} Apparently it’s a fleeting vision of purple violet leather. This is not Insolence, but yes it is violet-y. I love all perfume but in reality this is more of a loving like. My love for Fahrenheit was the 2 stroke mower note, the pulverised wet grass thing with petrol exhaust fumes. This is nearly there. It’s green, shelling pea pods, and wet with a purple metallic patina. Also cold and chemical. Very interesting fragrance 👍🏻 like that really weird Balanciaga one that was literal pea pods. This one has a strange tension with its fuzzy metal , but ignore me my nose is probably broken. Very unisex belying the nomenclature…

This was certainly an interesting experience! Let me preface this review by saying that I am not AT ALL a fan of vanilla scents or traditionally "feminine" scents because I find them to be overly sweet and cloying. The lime and sea water top notes are very very fleeting, you can smell them in the beginning as a sharp, maybe even dizzying, smell. However, that tart/salt smell cuts through some of the overwhelming sweetness I find in many smells wth a vanilla base. This might be the only vanilla smell I've truly enjoyed! It's definitely not a scent for all, that being said I am very much enjoying this floral/fruity/vanilla/powdery almond-ish smell that emerges after a few hours and makes me feel as if I was sitting in a garden on a warm day with some almond-vanilla based drink. I would say this is definitely a feminine fragrance, and that it is best applied sparingly.

i get melons!! then powdery skin. the name celeste definitely fits the bill. a warm weather performer. angelic, ethereal, airy! easy to wear, easy to love.

Let me visualize to you what I smell: Imagine you cut open a cantaloupe and you see it's all acidic, moldy, and dampened. For some odd reason you decide to put a scoop of play-dough and baby powder and mix it all together... Thats 'Celeste' for you🤗 This is the worst fragrance I've smelled in my life!! When I smelt it, I gagged and was dry heaving like I was going to vomit. I hate to say it but this 8ml sample is going STRAIGHT to the trash and I probably won't try Bianco Latte due to everyone saying they have a similar waxy dry down....

Violet an aquatic citrus with a slight undertone of some vanilla adjacent spice. One of the more interesting ones from Giardini di Toscana.

No Lime or Ocean notes on my skin at all. It starts with violet and the velvety sober vanilla quickly appears. Delicious! Its a skin scent if you apply it scarcely - fabulous if layered with Bois d'Argent

I absolutely love this fragrance! I definitely prefer it over Bianco Latte. On my skin, violet is definitely the star of the show, with a lovely raspberry note adding a sweet, fruity touch. The drydown turns into a soft powdery floral vanilla. I don't really get the marine notes or the lime at all. If you're a fan of Parma Violets candy, there's a good chance you'll love this one too. That said, I wouldn't recommend blind buying it - it's quite a unique scent, so it's definitely worth trying first. Even though it smells soft and delicate, the longevity is surprisingly good. It lasts around 12 hours on my clothes.

Simply put, this is an uplifting green vanilla! Initial spray was vaguely bug spray, but dissipated within minutes. Then the musky earthy violet note was prominent, grounded by marshmallow-y vanilla. I didn't get any sea water, lime or raspberry listed on the notes. This is very reminiscent of Iris Malikhan, if not an almost exact dupe to my nose. If Iris Malikhan's green notes are more vegetal and crushed leaves and stems, Celeste has more of an earthy facet. Both have a delicious creamy marshmallow-vanilla dry down that's not cloying or too gourmand. Love this scent!

Gorgeous scent. If you like Bianco Latte but find it cloying, then give Celeste a try! It’s a beautiful, creamy, citrusy floral with a Bianco Latte dry-down.

Let me preface that I love this fragrance. I used up a 5ml decant in 24 hrs and then bought a full size a week later. That said, this is a strange little fragrance, I must say. It's absolutely not blind buy safe. But I really love it. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I really expected Cheirosa 59. This reminds me of something - it's got a melon-like vibe + the violet and the waxy Bianco Latte DNA in there. I dunno what I'm smelling but it's very nostalgic. The sillage also smells incredible - it's beaming off my hand in the most lovely way. But the best description I can give is that it's very odd, so definitely do NOT blind buy this. Update: It's an hour later and NOW it smells like Cheirosa 59 because the watery top notes are gone, so all that's left is vanilla and violet. Love it even more now. Ps: the person comparing this to Iris Malikhan has either never smelled this or never smells Iris Malikhan because they're like chalk and cheese. There is NOTHING sweet in Iris Malikhan - which is a leathery, green, buttery Iris and Celeste is very sweet, no leather and not green at all - worlds apart.

This one reminds me of the opening in Dama Bianca, which i really dislike(but I like the DB drydown), it smells like something sour, sweet and chalky...vomit? The drydown smells like artificial raspberries, playdough and a hint of Vanilla. Absolutely not for me...

My first impression of Celeste wasn't the best. The opening was dominated by a sharp lime note that felt a little too bright and citrusy for my taste. Fortunately, the dry down was much more enjoyable. As the lime softened, the fragrance became smoother, creamier, and more balanced. Overall, Celeste wasn't an instant favorite, but once it settled, it became a nice and wearable scent. If you're sensitive to strong citrus openings, give it time—the dry down tells a different story.

For me this was a very meh fragrance. Very low-key and a little boring 🫤

In the opening I get a raspberry car freshener vibe or if you opened some type of powdery candy. Not in a bad way because the vanilla starts to take over and it really compliments it. Also, dry down is basically bianco latte. But would I say it’s better than bianco latte? Nah, but it’s close. It’s a bit more unique and can wear it year round

Words can’t explain the magic of this perfume. The top notes are fleeting, but fresh. This is an ethereal, sweet and sparkly violet candy. You must be a violet lover for this to work as that is the main note here. I get the slightest green notes in the dry down, but my oh my, this is a masterpiece and multi faceted. If you’ve ever eaten the British Candy called Parma Violets, this is it. I have over 40 perfumes and my collection and this really might be number one. This lasts all day and has a strong scent bubble for 6 hours or more before fading to a skin scent. Giardini Di Toscana is an amazing house and always has unique and high quality, long lasting scents. Other favorites are Bianco Latte and Blu Indaco. I think this house has 3 in my top 10.

When I first smelled this I was sure there was praline in it, it smells very much like a rich deep sugar to me with just a hint of vanilla. I did get the flowers but I wasn’t able to denote that it was violet at first. After seeing that listed though it was recognizable immediately. Specifically it reminded me of candied violets which I enjoyed during childhood. Raspberry I missed completely. Still, it’s pleasant and nostalgic to my nose and its longevity is quite impressive

This and Rosso Rubino are my favourite fragrances from this house.

i really didn't like celeste. i'm sure there's an audience out there for her but i am learning that violet is not the note for me! for what it's worth this is a powerhouse perfume and if you like a sweeter violet it's definitely worth a try. but absolutely not for me. had to give my sample to a friend

I just read the couple of most recent "reviews" and I have to say that it both amuses and frustrates me when people think they can judge a scent and say they hate it, after letting it sit on their skin for a few minutes: "I couldn't wash it off fast enough!" So, you only experienced top notes and desided you hate the perfume becouse of something that'll disappear and change in 30 mins, max? Ok, then😅 Of course it would be nice and ideal if you absolutely loved every stages of the scent but that is hardly ever the case, at least for me, and you just have to wait a little to get to the good stuff.

@LGRP you are not alone. I hade the same experience. I could not wash it off fast enough. 😝

I have to say, this was my worst fragrance experience in 53 years of wearing perfume. Unfortunately, on my skin, it smells like dry vomit. I don’t mean to disrespect the hard work of those who collaborated on this creation; it just didn't sit well with me. It emanates the aforementioned smell in less than five minutes. I really need to get this scent off my skin. It was very difficult to remove.

Smells like someone crushed parma violets in a bowl, sprinkled it into mossy, pond water, threw in some perfumers alcohol and then bottled it. 😩

Edit: So today is the day I'm wearing it. And I like it. ☑️ Not a crowd-pleaser. It's heavy on the violet, and the opening is quite...strange with the salty sea water note. But the drydown is unique. It's like a candy-fairy playing with sweet flower petals dusted in vanillic sugar.🦋🌸🍓🍦 At the end of the drydown you can smell bits of Bianco latte, which makes the scent cozy and warm. Longevity is crazy, after 6-7 hours it's still intensive on clothes, on skin still projecting. It was a blind buy and I'm still building up the courage to spray it on myself, because even when I smell it on a test strip, my feelings are very mixed. It's like violet-flavored candy mixed with fresh, airy laundry detergent. I don't know how to feel, and I don't know what my skin chemistry will bring out from it. I'm waiting for a home office day, when I can spray myself fully without feeling deeply awkward because how I possibly smell😂😂😂
