It’s funny how scents get more love and hype once they become discontinued or hard to get 😅 anyways I can confirm that Ella K Pluie sur ha long is very very similar. So if you’re looking for an alternative I would recommend.

Анонім★★★★★

Its been 7 Hours and 15 days...since they took this Love Away

Анонім★★★★★

One of my favorite perfumes in my collection unfortunately discontinued , never thought I would find anything similar, but you must try Ella k Pluie sur ha long. When I wear the Ella K, I sometimes get confused that I wore my ocean di gioa!! It’s also made by same perfumer

Lovely fresh scent with a great balance of oceanic/aldehyde, fresh and sweet notes up top..however, it is exceedingly weak. The OG Acqua di Gio.was my favorite. This flanked is very nice but lacks performance -- I'm talking 6-8 sprays and nothing after a couple hours, tops.

Анонім★★★★★

Apparently discontinued BUT if you like melon notes White Touch Franck Oliver is the same vibe. Just missing that little pear zing and more of a mellow fruit.

I am mourning this

I discovered this by accident a few years ago. I still have a 30 ml bottle my dad brought back from the US last year, and I'll cherish it forever, only using it on special occasions. It's very shampooey, aquatic, and slightly salty. Very delicate but also fresh. Clean and summery, inoffensive, like a first love. When I wear this, people ask if I just got out of the shower, and I love that. It's not generic like people on here call it. I've tried dozens of "dupes" and haven't found a single one that comes close. The best aquatic fresh floral ever made! I'll miss you, Ocean di Gioia. You'll forever be famous to me.

I miss this one so so so so much. I bought it on a holiday in Croatia so it just reminds me of that relaxing shower you take after laying on the beach all day and feeling so clean and crisp afterwards, hair still wet and smelling like shampoo, then doing your make-up on the balcony while the sun sets and you're getting ready for the night drinking a cocktail, your skin still feeling a bit warm from the sun, and you're wearing a gorgeous flowy skirt, feeling the light fabrics on your bare legs, smelling this scent on yourself and just feeling absolutely beautiful. It’s fresh, light, pear-y, and one of the few scents that work perfectly in really hot weather. This perfume has my heart. I wish I could just smell it one more time. If u have this one and own Another 13, try layering them! They work stunning together. Also, I have to try and see if anyone reading this who still has a bottle would be open to sell it. I just have to try. <3

I love Ocean DiGioia. It was a super clean floral. I don’t get any powdery or much musk at all, just clean fresh floral. Wonderful day perfume. Yes, it was a totally generic, clean scent, but lovely nonetheless.

This fragrance feels like waking up in a beach cottage on a brisk summer morning, then stepping outside into the early sun to hang crisp, clean laundry on the line. As the day warms up (fragrance reaches heart) that freshness evolves into a cold, salt rimmed margarita enjoyed poolside in a cute bikini. Upon the first spritz, it opens with a bright, slightly sharp note (reminiscent of fresh hairspray or sea spray) that quickly settles into a juicy, slightly powdery pear with a green, citrus edge. A tinge of saltiness peaks through immediately, giving it that unmistakable marine quality. The pear is gorgeous here: aquatic and fresh, like a cool breeze on a humid day. It’s opulent, sexy, and incredibly revitalizing. The heart is so special: water jasmine and lily of the valley create a soft, dewy floral accord that reminds me of snapped green stems. I also get a photorealistic, wet rose scent that sweetens the greener notes. The salt lingers throughout, creating a unique dew-kissed floral effect. Finally, the dry down is a stunning clean musk with a soft, milky touch of sandalwood, leaving you smelling sophisticated and sun-drenched This scent lasts all day on just a couple of sprays. It’s not an overpowering fragrance, but others will definitely notice it. It holds a special place in my heart because my mom put me onto it; she bought her first bottle for a trip with my dad, and it’s been her go to summer scent for years.

This is the only freshie aquatic perfume that works for me. Discontinued. I’m out raged and want to start a riot. Armani you’ve got some splaining to do. We go way back. Purple Armani exchange baby T, code wafting through the Long Island air. . . A few years after the NYC summer black out. Code and now this? For the love of God why?! I live in a tropical climate now and I’m having a fit over this one. Turned my heart blue. 💙🌊

Very sad to see this is discontinued. A far cry from “febreeze,” this was so classy. I could wear this even if I started my day with a headache. A lot of my “cleaner” fragrances I wear are not really “crowd pleasers.” This is one that I got a lot of compliments on, even from men at work. Acqua is still a signature for me, but that’s a comfort fragrance that others don’t really make note of. This was really special: light, marine, and feminine. I’ll keep buying it when I see it!

I love this aquatic masterpiece. It's perfect for the summer or when you're in the mood for an uplifting, happy scent. I have 4 bottles in my closet because it's been hard to find so I stocked up on it. My favorite summer fragrance

Анонім★★★★★

Some people really do forget that chemistry and pH play a huge part in how a fragrance smells on you. If it smells bad on you that means it does not agree with your chemistry. This smells like a clean, brisk watery fresh dip in a cool tub with jasmine and lilies on a hot summer day. I get the pear, the green notes ,the lillies and the jasmine the most.

Анонім★★★★★

Anyone looking for a dupe, check out the febreeze aisle. So cheap and classless. Just go w aqua, which is magical! I do however hate when they DC any important element from that line, though. I mean, obviously some people like it! I liked sun and loved air, but I guess not enough other people did. So l understand the frustration. I'm just trying to cheer you up by giving you my opinion that is smells cheap, but it's prob just infuriating y'all more. I'm sorry.

Анонім★★★★★

I mean... it's kinda boring. But that's not a bad thing. I can wear it to work without anyone pointing it out. It is sweet and pleasant and exactly what I need in an everyday perfume (for the summer and spring).

Анонім★★★★★

If only I had discovered this one sooner... I would have bought backups, why do they always discontinue the best ones...

Анонім★★★★★

Precious summer scent. I get no citruses or green notes thankfully, only the airy florals and juicy pear. Opens aquatic and blooms into the florals - jasmine, lily of the valley and rose. The pear is strong, and so so sweet overall. I adore this scent and somehow every time it makes me think of ice cream (despite having no creaminess at all), the juicy cold sweetness of it all. Beautiful blend! Also this is somehow gives the same vibes as Springtime in a Park, only this one is more sweet, less crisp and longer lasting.

Devastated to hear that Ocean di Gioia has been discontinued. I still have a bottle from last summer and plan to stock up before it becomes hard to find. This is my favorite clean, soapy, summer scent. It literally smells like you’ve just stepped out of the shower. It’s super clean with a soft, slightly sweet finish. I’m not sure why it’s called “Ocean,” though; that feels a bit misleading. Acqua di Gioia isn’t a dupe, so I’ll be on the hunt for something similar.

Анонім★★★★★

This is one of those perfume that is boring on a women but interesting as heck on men. The combination of pear, rose and Lily just so refreshing and the dry down is this mellow musky sandalwood. Love it 🤌🏻✨

Анонім★★★★★

Smells a lot like bath and body works white t shirt to me. It's mostly airy white florals, but there is a salty pear note as well. Smells a lot like a hair product. I can't quite say shampoo because it's a little bitter/chemical up close and smells more like hairspray to me. I wouldn't over spray. It smells better when you catch a whiff of yourself than smelling it up close. It's nice and alright and wearable. Definitely a summer scent. I won't have a problem wearing it, but I can see having a problem reaching for it. It doesn't stand out or wow me. I know I will reach for other things first. But it's a decent enough scent. You could wear this to the office.

Анонім★★★★★

I bought this because I'm a huge fan of Acqua di Gioia (name checks out). It's okay. It's a nice perfume and smell like the best shampoo you ever smelled...but that's it. If you want to smell freshly showered, go for this. But it doesn't give perfume, in my opinion.

Анонім★★★★★

If saddened by the discontinuation of this fabulous freshie you should definitely get Spa Day (blue juice in a frosted square bottle with a blue cap) from TJ max! Literally the same scent at a fraction of the OG’s price! Thank me later!

Анонім★★★★★

Armani please bring this back. It was the perfect summer scent.

Анонім★★★★★

Smells extremely close to Ocean di Gioia like 8.5/10. I think its an absolute beautiful summer at the beach or in Jamaica smell. It is soo perfect. Negative: Doesnt last long, but its cheap enough for you to carry in your purse and continue to reapply. Suggestions: if u have the lotion from Bath and Bodh works Aqua Hour OR Victoria Secret Aqua Kiss. Layer that first. Drown urself in the body spray and lightly spray the Guess Blue! (Come back and thank me later)

Don't understand the hype or the good reviews. This is gross, it smells exactly like mosquito spray to me in every way. It might be my skin chemistry but this is a definite miss.

Анонім★★★★★

I absolutely love this perfume and I'm so sad it's discontinued. For anyone looking for dupes / something similar: TJ Maxx and Marshalls have a $17 fragrance called "Spa Day" (by Tru Fragrance / Modern Memories) that I swear smells exactly the same. I've now got a backup bottle :)

I’d heard a lot of hype about this, tried it at Ulta and liked it enough to get a 3.4 oz unboxed on FragranceNet the same day. I’m so glad that I did because it has since been discontinued. The floral notes really come through and are lovely. I get a little chlorine out of this one, but I seem to be alone in that. Wearing it today and I officially love it. Still get a little chlorine but the floral notes are gorgeous and it’s a great freshie. I get more longevity out of this than most people it seems. I’ve had it on for 8 hours and can still smell it on my wrists. I’ll be guarding my 3.4 oz with my life until the day I finally use it up.

Анонім★★★★★

This is my signature scent- it hearkens me back to when I had an apple scented shampoo as a child and it just brings me back to that bubbly freshness. Very youthful, girlish, and fun! I really truly hope they do NOT discontinue this amazing scent- I definitely will be stocking up on this once I break into my second bottle lol.

TOP NOTES: In the top we have Pear, Green Notes and Citruses. I can instantly feel the citruses in the opening and some green notes but the green notes are not sharp or vivid at all. The green notes are smooth and like washed away a bit, they are mixed up pretty well with the citruses and the pear note which gives the soft touch of slightly, almost unnoticeable sweetness and kind of an airy vibe to the opening, but also a bit fruity in the combination with the citruses. THE MIDDLE NOTES: Here we have beautiful white floral combo of Water Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, Salt and Rose. And all seems to be good but the salt note is like a bit out of the entire floral picture, but I get why it is here. Yes, I start to get the beautiful tenderness and elegance of the jasmine and a bit powdery vibe from the lily-of-the-valley but it also is complimented very nicely by the salt note which gives a marine or oceanic vibe to the entire fragrance throughout its performance. And yes, I need to mention that although there isn't any way to naturally extract the oil from the lily-of-the-valley and all the perfumes containing this note use synthetic compounds, this one here is very close to the natural scent of the flower which I remember well from my childhood, when I was picking up the flowers in spring to gift them to my mom. I need to mention though that although we are in the middle of the pyramid now, the fruitiness is still present but it is more blended in with the florals at this stage. BASE NOTES: In the base we have only two notes and they are one of my favourite and these are Musk and Sandalwood. So, yeah, I loooove this note very much. In this case I can clearly feel it in the base once the fragrance starts to dry down. It becomes softer and cleaner in a way. The musk still keeps the soft clean kind of sweetness but it also makes the entire scent to become like very sensual, a bit warm, slightly powdery. it gives this kind of a smooth and elegant, feminine type of vibe, while the sandalwood give the richness and character to the scent and it is clearly noticeable in the base, but it is still blended very nicely with the musk and the rest of the notes. TYPE OF SCENT: So, overall I'd describe this scent as being fresh and fruity with a soft citrusy/green vibes that slowly turn into slightly salty-oceanic-floral aroma drying down into a musky-woody vibe that becomes a soft and clean slightly fruity oceanic floral skin type of scent. PERFORMANCE: The longevity of this fragrance is moderate on my skin in summer and a bit weak in spring. I'd say around 4-5 hours if applying 5-8 sprays. The sillage and projection are also moderate. This is a perfect fragrance for hot summer days or warm spring and autumn days especially if you want to carry an oceanic and fresh aquatic vibe around you. I'd personally give an 8.5 out of 10 to it only because I feel that the citruses here are a bit synthetic and the longevity is not the best, but still overall I love the scent profile of this fragrance, just regret that it is discontinued. But as I mentioned, there is a close alternative Armani Acqua di Gioia and today 100 ml costs £85 in the UK on Notino but there you can enjoy a lot of discounts around end of season or bank holidays, so keep an eye on this online store.
